Pizza sucks. Canned tomatoes canned mushrooms. Way too much salt. Not enough cheese. Sad. Not real Italian pizza. Better off with Digiornos.

Pizza here is some of the best in the neighborhood. Strongly recommend Buffalo chicken, and Brooklyn is great if you’re a fan of margherita pizza

Always consistently good, fresh food. Nice atmosphere and fine service. Tonight crab cakes were a special. They were outstanding and huge! Mainly all crab meat with very little filler. Sauteed perfectly. I was very pleased!

Been coming here for over a decade and love the staff here. I find the restaurant food is very good, a little better than the pizza (which is very traditional ny style). Highly recommend this place for a quick bite, large group, or local dinner out.

Probably the worst Italian restaurant at Princeton.

This Italian restaurant is one of the hidden jems in the Princeton area. The food is outstanding! The eggplant is excellent, and there are many dishes to choose from. Make a reservation now!

Oh goodness... If not for great friends, I don't think I would have come to this awesome establishment. I do have many more menu items to explore. But their sauce game is magnificent. Fresh seafood in their dishes takes them over the top. Everything just speaks of Italian authenticity... I just freakin' forgot to bring my wine 🍷...😁 ... Oh and please end with the house made tiramisu. It'll take you to Happy Town 😜

Excellent food in this West Windsor neighborhood italian spot. Stromboli was massive. The small could easily feed two.

Worst pizza I've eaten in New Jersey

Wow this place was underwhelming at best! We had ordered food for Christmas day and wow it was awful. "Sauteed chicken" was entirely devoid of flavor. Gnochchi was like eating balls of plastic glued to a sauce. Their sausage was Pathmark managers special quality at best on a good day. Even their bread rolls were terrible! I'm not sure how you can mess up bread rolls. I wish I had made dinner myself. $170 for poor food. I'm honestly amazed how bad it was. Oh by the way if you need reference, they charged $8 PER ORDER of grilled vegetables. All they did was toss in some barely cooked broccoli, carrots and zucchini. (See attached image) Me and my family will never be going back to this place as honestly it was awful. I wouldn't even give this food to my dog ( I actually respect him) Save yourself the effort and time, go to aljons in west windsor or Plainsboro or even Romeo's in Plainsboro. Capuanos is not worth your business I promise.

I ordered 15 pizzas for delivery for a memorial service. Everyone loved the pizzas. The delivery was on time.

Ordered the Ravioli Firenze, taste was good, but the price for the portion was ridiculous! Pasta barely covered the bottom of the take out container. $20 for 4 raviolis.... $5 for a single cheese ravioli!

Outstanding NY style pizza in a comfortable neighborhood atmosphere. And they know how to make an awesome anchovy pizza!!

We ordered take out food for NYE and ordered dishes we hadn't had in a while and it was just as good as we remember; Fettuccine Gypsy and Chicken Barrase. Also had fried calamari, salad and ordered limoncello cake. Really enjoyed it!

Ordered dinner for Christmas and these are the roasted vegetables that cost $8 each. Pathetic and a waste of money, literally could have made this from stuff in my fridge. Hoping the rest of the dish is at least worth the money because I'll never order that again & probably won't go back Updating my review to remove a star after eating the rest of the dinner. The dish we had was supposed to be sauteed chicken. The chicken had absolutely no flavor. It was completely bland. The pasta didn't have flavor either, overall just a waste of money, i didn't even enjoy eating the dish and it wasn't cheap. Don't even bother going here.

Capuano's is so consistently great its difficult to pick out any one thing. Servers are friendly, while efficient and unobtrusive. No matter who accompanies me to lunch or dinner I've never heard a complaint about the food; its always kudos all around and "how did you find this place; its wonderful ".

Great food, great service, and reasonably priced! VR a tennis group & we eat here every time we are in Princeton for the sectional championships. Never disappoints! It really helps that it’s BYOB!

Amazing pizza if you visit west windsor this is the place to go . There pasta pizza is amazing.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed at our last visit. We’ve been patrons for over 20yrs and it seem as if pandemic/post-pandemic has really hit Capuano’s. There were only 6 tables occupied on Saturday at 7:30 pm- Service was very poor (inattentive), food came out cold, and the two other couples we had asked to accompany us (1st timers) were very underwhelmed. Sad to see this long time favorite fall out of favor.

They're garlic rolls are to die for!

Delivered a burnt pizza & when asked to replace the manager / owner asked same questions over & over & then started getting rude. Never bothered to replace nor refund Second time same incidence.

We dined here for an early dinner on Saturday before a comedy show at the Hyatt Regency Princeton. We were a party of 8 and were seated immediately. Our server, Veronica, was the best and made our dining experience so much better. She was always on point and was so very personable. We had clams casino and zucchini frittas which were both piping hot and delicious. Everyone ordered a different main entree and everyone was satisfied with the portions and the taste. I had the Linguine Della Casa and it was wonderful. The seafood was very fresh and everything was cooked to order. The garlic bread and regular bread were also very good. BYOB was a huge plus. Will definitely go back in the future.

Capuano is really one of the best around for pizza and Italian dinners as well! I live 600 feet away and am lucky! There is also a blog site called Neighborhood, with people from all local towns asking for best of this, best of that. Italian food came up, lots of places were mentioned, but Capuaono in Princeton Junction was mentioned several times . The family is really very warm and nice too. Hope you try it and enjoy it as well!

Pretty expensive, bit blame. But I'm all for supporting small businesses. I'll try it again

On our way to Whole Foods, we stopped in for a pizza. We ordered a tomato pie. It hit the spot. While we were seated, the friendly owner came over to our table & warmly greeted us. We chatted for quite awhile. He couldn't have been any nicer. We'll be back. The food is consistently fresh & flavorful, plentiful & satisfying and reasonably priced. If you haven't yet been to Capuano's, you're in for a treat. Go & enjoy and remember to BYO.

Fantastic pizza and wonderful folks. This is our go-to restaurant for takeout or dining in. Almost all Jersey Italian food is great—this place is exceptional!

We've been to both Capuano's in town and both are super places. The staff are the soul of eatery's and these folk don't disappoint. Food is always what you'd expect, hot, correct, and yummy. Clarksville Rd. offers outside dining but do accept reservations for outdoor seating.

It’s an amazing spot for delicious and fresh Italian food. The veal especially was cooked to perfection.

Been going here for years, always get same dish: vodka rigatoni. Went back while visiting NJ for first time in two years. Portions shrunk, food not as good, and prices up.

The food was delish. Not outrageous. But, definitely worthy of a strong review The highlight of the night was our server, Rhea!! She was professional, full of personality and committed to doing a great job! She simply dreams of serving inside… not outside That said she made the very best of the situation. Food was fine. Im not sure if this is a “fair review” considering we did DoorDash with Capuano. We got the Capellini Mar De Terra, the Linguine Della Casa, Calamari, and salad. The Capellini tasted ok, nothing special. It didn’t really have any flavor. The Linguine Della Casa I was really disappointed in. I am a pasta freak, so I like to think I know good pasta. The Linguini was just terrible. Like I said, I’m not sure if it’s fair because it was delivery but it should be the same quality as dining in the restaurant. The Linguini was very bland, watery, absolutely no flavor, the pasta wasn’t cooked enough, and the mussels were unseasoned. Calamari and salad were ok.

Stopped by for a quick slice on my lunch break and was amazingly surprised. Absolutely fantastic Brooklyn pie. It was actually so good I thought it may have been a fluke so I went back 2 weeks later. 10/10 best Brooklyn I've ever had. Paper thin, sweet sauce, quality ingredients. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great Brooklyn pie.

We have been eating and ordering from Capuano’s for 25 years! We recently started ordering trays or 1/2 trays for get together and the food is always a hit! The staff is so wonderful and goes out of their way to make sure your parties have phenomenal food. We always order the Penne Ala Vodka as that is my favorite but every meal is delicious. Pizza is also fantastic. Haven’t found better Italian in all of NJ!

Ordered through Uber eats. Chicken parmigiana sub was good but bbq chicken pizza was far from expected. Pizza did not even taste freshly made and the sauce, cheese, chicken ratio was way off.

After countless mediocre food orders throughout Princeton we FINALLY FOUND OUR SPOT. So far, everything we have ordered has been delicious. Our top items are of course their Vodka Riggies, the Salmon and Linguine, the regular tomato Pizza is a true classic pie and the cannoli. Fresh bread with every item and a side salad with a light, tasty dressing. Honestly, it doesn’t seem like you can go wrong with any item on the menu.

I've been to capuano previously and always found the restaurant to be very good, filled with a great way staff and the food has always been very good. This time I ordered sausage and peppers as a dish for a party and they delivered an exceptional value. The food was excellent, the dish was quite large and very tasty. I would definitely go back. This is a BYOB place so you can bring your favorite wine to go with a very good meal.

Food was good. I wasnt to pleasd with the owner or staff. I almost felt like they thought "they were doing me a favor ". I will try again and see how it goes.

This was for New Years-and Capuano had a special menu. It was very reasonably priced. I had a seafood combo that included crabmeat, large shrimp and perfectly cooked scallops on top of capellini. The desert was tiramisu-again a delicious treat. I look forward to returning to Capuano more frequently.

We were twenty two for dinner. The service was beyond a ten. We ordered a variety of food, it all was served hot and the quality was a ten. The food was perfect. Steak, fish, pasta,shellfish was wonderful. This is a BYO wine or sprites. Parking no problem. Great for couples or large parties.

Capuanos is usually a good bet for great food. New years eve is clearly an exception. We were seated quickly with a reservation but waited a long time for service. The hostess was nice but the guy at the hostess stand looked like he was dressed to go to the movies. Very bad impression!! It wasn't that busy even though it was a holiday. Our order was finally taken but I had to ask for a corkscrew before they finally opened our wine after our somewhat warm soup and very overpriced mozzarella stick appetizer. My girl got vodka rigatoni which is always great here. I got ravioli pavarotti, lobster ravioli with shrimp and crabmeat. For the $36 dollars they charged, they should be ashamed. 3 ravioli, one was empty, and 3 small shrimp. Maybe $7 worth of seafood at best. A normally great place but they bombed bigtime tonight!!!

Had dinner at Capuano on Saturday 09/07/2019, with group of 14 people. The service was excellent! I had a seafood pasta dish for dinner. It was okay nothing exceptional. The restaurant decor was charming and delightful. Good place for a Italian meal.

Have to demote my prior review. I'm a chicken parm guy and they really disappointed me on our last visit where there was hardly any chicken on the sub!!!

The menu selections, quality of meals and service are always first class. Also a very welcoming atmosphere. The sausage was firm and juicy, JUST what I wanted !!!

Went here to get good food. But when’s I walked in there the service was bad and I could understand and here the people disrespecting my family and me. The pizza was just pizza nothing special about it. I would not go back there they treated us like a minority and someone who is lower than them. Can name so many more places you can go instead of there like Classico’s Cheaper, Better Service and Nicer Staff. I know you guys always reply like trying to fix it but your workers need to act accordingly you guys need Gordon Ramsay to whip y’all back to shape.

This place has the best pizza, and coming from New York, I had a high standard for a good slice. My daughter and I visited countless pizzeria's until one night we stumbled upon this family owned pizzeria restaurant, they are just wonderful. They have a great variety, if i can recommend trying their spinach, chicken, slice, amazing!

They let my boyfriend and I come in at 9:45 on our anniversary and have a pizza in the dining room along with a most delicious salad ! They served us like we were having a 5 star meal and the pizza was fantastic too! I’m going back tonight to get another pizza to go from them! First class all the way!

If you’re looking for fine dinning the other side of the business is what you would be looking for. The food is amazing. Everything tastes freshly made and from the heart.
