We recently hosted our anniversary celebration and needed to supplement the "bar food." Emma provided a healthy orzo salad and her signature Charleston Chewies and Red Velvet Brownies. Everything was delicious! In addition, she kept me apprised of the status of my order in a very professional manner. Thank you for the sweet finish to our party!!

Sameka Jenkins with Carolima's Low Country Cuisine helped me plan my get-together with my new South Carolina friends. Semaka was very professional and knowledgeable while preparing for my event. I decided on 2" thick Prime Ribs medium rare, 1 1/2 - 2 pounds live lobster, and King Crab legs. My three Prime Rib diners were pleased with their medium-rare steak and fresh ground horseradish. My five lobster diners entertained us all during our meal, as only one knew how to get to the meat. Being human, "No, I am not asking for help; I want to do it myself." The Lobster diners provided all the laughs. I had the King Crab, and he won. When I was in my 40s and 50s, I never had a problem man-handling my crab to get to the meat, but after consuming a claw and 4 legs, I meekly asked Sameka for help, and she quickly opened the rest of my crab legs, so I could finish my wonderful meal. Carolima’s provided the hot food as ordered. They arrived early to set up and left after the table and kitchen were spotless.

Just celebrated my 75th birthday. Carolima's was my caterer and they did not disappoint! Made from scratch entrees, tasty desserts, professional staff and very satisfied guests 😀 Highly recommend for any function needing to be catered!!!

Carolima's catered our event, and it was one of the best low country meals we've ever had. I was nervous to feed a crowd of Charlestonians, but the food earned rave reviews. My only regret is that I didn't double the banana pudding order - word of how good it was rippled through our partygoers and it went fast. Peach cobbler, BBQ chicken, greens, and low country boil were all fantastic. Sameka was responsive and kind, and I would welcome a chance to work with her team again.

Carolima's catered a reception for a conference I organized at the College of Charleston. The food was OUTSTANDING!! It's the best possible catering experience you can have in Charleston. The food is made from scratch and so flavorful. Their pimento cheese is the best in Charleston, hands down, and the lemon cupcakes are heavenly! Conference attendees raved about the taste and quality. Everyone is so professional, well-organized, and considerate. Truly lovely folks who are deeply talented in culinary arts. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Carolima's!!

I am so pleased that I chose Carolima's for my daughter's college graduation party. Sameka was such a pleasure to work with; she made everything so easy and helped me pick out the perfect menu. All of my guests raved about the food! It was absolutely fantastic and there was more than enough for everyone. We were in town for Citadel graduation and called at the last minute and they were kind enough to prepare and send over food to our AirBNB for a small party. The food was great and the portions generous. We got chicken wings, lamb, meatballs, spinach dip and a fruit tray. All the dishes were as good or better than I would expect at an expensive restaurant.

These ladies were a joy. They showed up with the food we ordered early. They showed like men in black with thier presence known. The cuisine we order lived up to our taste and more. Carolimas was able to provide catering and an open bar for my 40th Birthday Party. From the beginning of planning they were very attentive and proactive to make sure my party was set. Absolutely one of the best recommendations received for corporate meals in the lowcountry area. The Gullah Experience with chicken, red rice, green beans, mac & cheese, corn muffins & peach cobbler was a great hit with our staff ! Their boxes lunches of combined sandwiches that consisted of ham & swiss, turkey & provolone & chicken salad all on croissants were fantastic. They were served with chips and a delicious homemade chocolate chip cookie. Tasty salads were provided for the vegetarians. Soda/water are also available. The food was very fresh and enjoyable. It was very nicely presented with their professional set up and wonderful customer service ! You are in for a treat !!

From the wonderful cuisine to the delicious wedding cake, it was an exceptional experience. The guests loved the Collard Greens Eggrolls and Chicken Salad Croissants at Happy Hour! The main course was totally delicious as well. The Mac N' Cheese and Green Beans was fantastic! These simple staples were spot on. So, you can imagine how the main dishes were. We will DEFINITELY use them for our next event! We encourage everyone to use Carolima's for their next event. You will not be disappointed!!

Amazing!!! I contacted Carolima’s for dessert boxes for my child’s teachers and can I just say they were PERFECT! Desserts were fresh and arranged nicely in the dessert boxes and the gorgeous red bow was the icing on the cake. Great customer service and great food. Really appreciate the courtesy email a week prior to the event to confirm menu and to make the final payment before any late charges would occur. Everyone loved the meatballs, mac and cheese, and especially the buffalo chicken dip and the spinach and artichoke dip. Look forward to working with Carolima's in the future!

A coworker brought in the Charleston Chewys as a gift for Christmas. I’ve never had or heard of them, but I could eat the entire box! They are so delicious!

So attentive to the bride and groom. They always made sure we were taken care of. They even made me a special to go plate. Not to mention, we were able to bring all the food home for after the reception. Food was out of this world. I had out of town family here for my wedding as well as people from here (Charleston). They all said it was the best southern style cooking they have ever had. The banana pudding and pimento cheese was my favorite. The staff was wonderful and made the reception go so much smoother. I wish I could give more than five stars. Wonderful catering company. Great communicators. Great pricing. Just lovely people.

So delicious! This was hands down the best way to celebrate Thanksgiving without having to spend hours in the kitchen. The family enjoy this meal and made our family gathering more about being with the family.

Carilimas made a RDH graduation cake for me. It was exactly like I wanted and the cake was the best I have eaten. That raspberry filling was fabulous! They are the friendliest and very responsive and prompt!! Thank you for helping to make our girl’s gradation party one to be remembered!!!

We had the Thanksgiving dinner from Carolima’s and it was great! It’s advertised for 10 but could have easily fed 16. The instructions for preparing the meal was so simple and direct that I even received praise! The collards greens reminded of my grandmother’s greens. The turkey was perfect and moist. I can’t wait for another holiday to do it again!

Great Authentic Lowcountry Soul Food!

Sameka made our 80-guest rehearsal dinner a night to remember! An amazing combination of service, professionalism and quality - food so special that comparisons about "how grandma made collard greens" were heard during wedding festivities next day. And all this happened within a very tight time frame as our venue was a historical tourist attraction - available only between 5pm - 11pm. Sameka handled everything including the rentals, bar service, catering and made sure everything was set up perfectly and removed and spotless before our 11pm deadline. You can pay more with someone else, but it would be impossible to find a hospitality service provider that could bring more value to any special event!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVED IT! That fried chicken...OMG! Everything was tasty and delicious! I'm very grateful to have an authentic Southern/Gullah restaurant here in the Lowcountry that is fully owned and operated by an African-American from the Charleston area. So much of our food culture is being lost by the new wave of chefs with their own interpretation of our Gullah Cuisine. Thanks Sameka for preserving our food identity! Home Style Southern Food & Friendly Service

We went there for dinner this evening. Amazing food. Had the meatloaf. My wife had the fried fish and shrimp. Mac n Cheese was excellent. Yum! The service was over the top!

Food has always been good every time I've ordered from here. The owner and the staff are very pleasant as well. I've always ordered the food to go because the seating is limited. Will try their Sunday brunch soon.

The food is delicious, never disappoints. I have visited on several occasions I always get mac and cheese with my meals it's just the right amount of cheese and perfectly baked. I love the oxtails very tender and well seasoned. I also enjoy the fish and red rice. I can't leave without getting a Charleston chewie for the road. Service is good as well. Nice portions of food well worth the price.
