BEST Chinese food in the area! No lie no cap all that n bag of wonton chips Loyal customer for four years and 3 moves Only Chinese place I can get shrimp n not worry about getting sick If you think they have an attitude a small tip can change a lot

Had lunch delivered and the beef was so old and bland. The rice was definitely old and had crusty parts. The crab Rangoon tasted like sweet frosting. Very bad. Will not be eating from here again.

The food sucks and the crab Rangoons have a very sweet filling that is disgusting.

The General TOFU is off the chain, get it extra crispy. A little $3 more compared to what we pay back home in Orlando FL. But the best tofu we had at any Chinese Restaurant.

***Update*** Mistakenly ordered from here again this evening. Food was even worse than last time. Szechuan pork was awful. Hot and sour soup tasted nothing like it's supposed too. I hope I read my own reviews next time I'm in the mood for chinese food Hot and sour soup tasted and smelled like dishwater. Szechuan shrimp and chicken were edible but had very little flavor and no spice at all. Steamed dumplings also had no flavor. Fried dumplings were good.

Chinese food is Chinese food, until you get it nice and fresh from China Gate. Packed with flavor and I love the fact that it's fast service and decently priced. I have nothing but good reviews from this place. Highly recommend the sweet and sour shrimp!

Great food here - The Bling Gypsee

These restaurants aren’t the best for their atmospheres, but in my opinion it’s been the best Chinese food. I’ve been able to find a New Port Richey. I have been several times will probably keep returning.

I ordered chicken with mixed vegetables and no mushrooms. I could actually count the pieces of broccoli and there was an about four pieces of carrots. . There was chicken and I really don’t know if it was chicken. I have never seen anything like it. I took a photo that’s how bad it was I threw it all away

So upset I ordered food online and when I went to pick up the order they said they did not get the order and did not recognize the website I ordered from. I showed them the other 10 recipes I had from them through the same website and they said they couldn't do anything about it.

Not the best Chinese food. Chicken was extremely dry and the rice tasted like left over rice. The egg drop soup was oily

Received burnt food and a "sorry it happens" apology from the "manager". Unacceptable, we won't be back. No one wants to pay good money for burnt food.

Horrible I got crab Rangoon and it was white Fluid leaking all over nasty hot gross . I called them they hung up on me … I will be telling everyone reporting u and getting money back nasty place

Ordered 80$ worth of food , Beef Lo mein literally smelled and tasted like FISH . Chicken was chewy and over cooked , pepper steak had a weird texture. Maybe this was a once time mess up but probably won’t go back . They didn’t offer to remake food and just said they would give refund . Which I hope they do

First time trying this place and was pleasantly surprised. Shrimp and broccoli was very good. Will go back and try something different next time.

Good service but to us the food was sub par. The noodles were stale. The food taste was off a bit to us. We can’t recommend this place even though it looks busy every time we pass by.

Some of the best Chinese food here in Florida. If you get the opportunity to come visit China Gate, they also have some great customer service. Their employees are so kind and friendly. I’ve had the pleasure of coming here several times, and my experience has always been the same. The food is very good. The service is very good. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

My favorite Chinese takeout. I have tried almost everything on tje menu over the years and I am never disappointed.

I love the Hot and Sour soup here. If that's not your thing. Pork Lo mein is the way to go. 2 egg rolls and a drink. Don't forget your duck sauce for the egg rolls. Worth it!

Orange chicken is good and has plenty of spice kick. Service was fast and friendly

No complaints about the food, but the service was disappointing. If you order and pay for a quart of fried rice, you will now get a 26 oz.container. The menu states you will get 8 steamed dumplings, and we only got 6. If they want to change the quantity then they need to change their menus. Oh, and they forgot the orange sauce for our fried wontons. Very annoyed!

Guess we're use to better portions for the price & get my crispy noodles for not just free- (80 cents extra they charged) but the little bag wasn't even stuffed full! Kind of disappointing all around.

The food is so good here the only thing on the whole menu I don’t like is the crab Rangoon. There isn’t any crab in them.

They must have changed owners because it was all new employees. They were very nice but its not the same food. I miss the old general sous, the one they are serving now is too spicy for me but everything else was really good especially the egg rolls.

Reccomendation from a friend. Turns out they were there for 10 years. I had a tasty Bourbon Chicken Combo with Pork Fried Rice and a tasty Eggroll . My guest enjoyed her Sesame Chicken Combo with White Rice and an eggroll. We did takeout and arriived on time. There were 6 others waiting on food, but i walked in in a couple of minutes It did not get 5 starrs this thime because both of us agreeed our chickends could have usd more sauce. They tasted good, chicken was prepared well, but just a bit more of the flavorgful suace would have made it a 5-star meal. Hopefully next time they nail it, because theere will be a next time.

First time buying from here last evening. Local to our new home so was hoping for a good experience. Well, it was fine. Telephone ordering was excellent, food more than acceptable, if not the best we have ever eaten. Look forward to the second visit.

I picked up General Tso’s Chicken that I always ordered from this Restaurant, when I got home and open the plastic container it wasn’t near the amount it used to be. We live here for the winter and my wife keeps the container from the last time I got this item, we put the container side by side and found the new container so much smaller. Will not go back to this rip off restaurant!!

Got home after picking up my order and find out they did not give me pork fried rice with my chicken & broccoli combination platter. Menu states clearly pork fried rice NOT WHITE RICE that I received. The rice has absolutely ZERO taste and bland as hell!! Clearly specified pork fried rice and the person taking the order repeated it back to me. Fried rice doesn't sound like white rice. Guess I'll need to check my order before leaving next time.

Please have someone over the age of 16 working at the counter! The young boy that works at the front should not be there! He has almost no customer service skills, and can barely hear him when he speaks. He did not read back my order. He grabbed my card out of my hand and said nothing else. There is a reason there's a minimum age requirement to work!

Better than the rest but not as good as New York

China Gate is our local Chinese takeout restaurant and we’ve been ordering from them for over fifteen years. The food is good, although sometimes needs a little more seasoning. It’s nearby, quick and easy, the people who work there are kind, and we are rarely disappointed in our meal.

I order from this place a lot they’re usually good , lately the food hasn’t been that great and you have to call about 5-6 times to answer , I’ve called actually right now about 6 times and still no answer so here’s me about to take 7th attempt to order some food

Good, reliable chinese take out place.

Well, soups are yummy. Noodles to put into soup are consistently stale and inedible. Prior to pandemic, can't say I liked their entrees. When they reopened, an oriental woman, not a kid was answering ohone and overseeing everything. Food other than soup noodles was wonderful. This last time, very friendly young adult was back and the food was reverting back to what it was. The appetizers tasted like they had been heated in microwave. Don't know that they were but this is my impression. Hopefully next won't be the same.

I am hard to please when it comes to Chinese carryout food. There are several Chinese restaurants in the area and I have found China Gate to be the most satisfying one around.

Delicious Chinese food. Just start loving chicken chow mien and its really good. The only thing i hate is when they forget stuff. I had sweet and sour chicken before and they forgot to put the sauce in the bag.

Kum Pao chicken is my favorite. Such an amazing taste. My wife loves the sesame chicken and roast pork loin mein. It is hard for her to decide. Both are awesome. We have been eating here ever since China Gate opened so many years ago and our entire neighborhood in River Ridge are honored to have a wonderful New York style Chinese restaurant in our back yard!

Mi marido ha conseguido rapido para llevar desde allí varias veces a mi decepción. . No soy un fanático. Para empeorar las cosas, Mi tobillos normalmente aumentan con todas las de sodio que utilizan. La comida no tiene los sabores que yo estoy acostumbrado. Yo no tengo que decir que es horrible, pero yo prefiero a conducir un poco más y conseguir la mejor comida china de calidad.

My wife and I have tried many Chinese Restaurants and China Gate is our favorite. Their food is always consistent in taste. The personnel are always friendly and the restaurant is clean. Our favorites are General Tso's Chicken, Steamed Dumplings, Roast Pork Lo Mein.
