This has become our family go to spot for Chinese food. Sweet and sour chicken and general tso chicken are the two dishes we order on a regular basis. Cash only, take out only.

Bad customer service food taste like plastic

So I’ve been coming to this place since the 90’s. It’s definitely one of those places that simply satisfies and brings wholesome vibes into your comfort food. They’re very friendly and the food is unlike anything you’ve ever tasted. Cash is a must and it’s too small to dine in but you’ll definitely have enough for leftovers making them very reasonably priced. Don’t waste your money on Panda or anywhere else for that matter, THIS IS THE SPOT!

The best food especially the shrimp fried rice

There was a mice inside the restaurant, and when I told the cook they pretended like they didn’t understand me, and just said I don’t know. Department of sanitation should close this place.

They throw in more vegetables than meat to make it seem like they give you more than what you paying for. Such a shame, was really looking forward to this place but won't be going back.

Muy mala experiencia en ese restaurante a mi Niño me le salió pedazos de alambre en la comida casi se me andaba hogando yo nunca vuelvo a comprar ai además se enojaron porque les hise el reclamo y asta me enseñaron que había sido de la fibra de lavar sartenes muy mala higiene CUIDADO MAMIS !!! The food is so good they give you a big amount of portion kinda pricy but it's well worth it ..the spot is in gang infested area. They haven't messed with me but I heard it's bad place to go .call ahead and have the food ready.i think they only accept cash no credit cards.i love the combination fried rice I eat the jumbo order takes me 5 days to eat it well worth it!!

The deals, the prices, and the meals. Fantastic. That mongolian beef is on point everytime! They even respect they my roommate who has severe shellfish allergies and make sure there's no cross contamination. Nothing but love and respect for this place.

I really enjoyed the quality of this food the first time I ordered it, but I knew something was wrong because the pricing was a little off. Apparently the menu prices listed online are not the prices upon ordering at the window. The problem with this establishment is there’s no clear visible listed menu so you think it’s a certain price and then apparently it’s severely marked up at the window. I just tried ordering a small shrimp fried rice and a large general Tso’s and that came out to $29 flat. My gf and I argued the price, she said the prices went up, which is fine, but how is a small shrimp fried rice 14.50 and a large general Tso’s also 14.50. So either the price of the shrimp fried rice is wrong, or the price of the general Tso is wrong? Which one is it? Don’t come here because there’s no price transparency.

Food is always good and fresh. The portions are big for a small price compared to other places. The lady is always nice and always answers the phone :)

La comida esta muy buena,...pero la persona que atiende no me gusta, porqué como que no entiende bien el inglés y te da otra cosa que no pediste,y cobra de más,y no te da recibo y pues así no puedes reclamar y ellos están supuestos a dar recibo por ley.

My first time here I was a little scared because the location looked a little sketchy and they only accepted cash, but WOW was it good. The food was so hot and fresh and tasted amazing. The lady who took my order was so sweet and personable. I ordered General Tso’s chicken and a small shrimp fried rice with with jumbo shrimp instead of the regular ones. Everything was superb. I will definitely be returning!

Been going here over 10yrs. Food is great. The owners are polite ,respectful and DEFINITELY NOT RACIST. China Snack is a hidden neighborhood gem that I hope has a long business life. They , if you take time to ask questions , can customize & guide you to dishes for finicky or allergy eaters. Food is fresh, hot and made the way you want.. And when if living in delivery area. It comes very quickly and their delivery people are very nice. Unless they changed it is a cash only business.

The egg foo young was very delicious . One of the best Chinese restaurants in Chicago . Jenny is a wonderful employee. Still food is some of the best Chinese food I've had in the city of Chicago. I really love the egg drop soup shrimp fried rice taste better than it looks Siri that I expected it to be a little oily and salty but it was not. Food was so good I had to order a different dish take home. Scott's kind of place if you want to go and dine-in With Friends but it is a place where the commuting to for some take out food.

Best place for pot stickers and Mongolian beef in city

It's located on cermak and Whipple on the edges of little village it's a great place to go eat even have a menu as they say healthy menu what else can I say it just good real good hearty Asian food it's great Chinese the people there are very Goodwill the customers the lady that takes your order at the front window she's kind of funny but good person overall you got to meet the guy in there though he's phenomenal

Love the beef fried rice and orange chicken. The lady is super nice all the time. Overall incredibly satisfied with the food and speedy service. It’s also affordable. Update: I’ve tried the pot stickers, kung pao (KP) chicken (comes with white rice), and chicken teriyaki and all have great flavors/texture. A large KP, 2 orders of teriyaki, and 1 order of pot sticker fed 4 adults.

I cannot tell you how many delivery orders I had from this place. There is also carryout, just never did. The same lady's voice. The same request for delivery. You get to know a person by their voice. When they're pressured. When you need to double-check to make sure everything is included. I always asked to make sure the rice was fresh, which it was. I would like to blame any weight gain over the years on them. Crab meat rangoon, orange chicken with shrimp fried rice, spicy fried rice, Kung Pao chicken. All heavily addictive. As are almond cookies. The worst offender: Mongolian Beef, theirs is Szechuan style. Mandarin just lacks punch. I never found a problem with my order, always placed early evening. Maybe timing is everything. Priced competitively. Huge portions. Fair delivery fee. Check on if they deliver to you first. Don't forget the fortune cookies. Remember: the food is addictive.

I have been ordering from here for years. They are fast, friendly, and the food is very good for the price. I order off menu with no problem and they make my food exactly how I like it and usually deliver it to me within 30 minutes during lunchtime. Cool fact: You can see their sign with correct phone # in Shameless, Season 7, episode 12.
