This was my first time using Chocolate Rose Bake Shop. I was hosting an anniversary party, and wanted to order a cake that resembled a wedding cake. I sent her a picture of what I had in mind, and she made it exactly like the photo. Beautiful! In addition, the cake was delicious! Very moist, frosting was yummy… I Would definitely recommend this bake shop!

Late review but I bought 2 baby shark cakes from here last year and they were amazing! Hopefully getting 2 more this year

We just moved to CT back in December. My daughter’s first birthday party was coming in this May and so I searched for bakery’s in the area to do her cake. I found Chocolate Rose and the reviews were good so I called and then we chatted on messenger about what I was looking for. This made the process for me so easy and trust that I’d be getting what I was looking for. I’m so glad we chose Chocolate Rose! Erin is amazing and the cake I received for my daughter’s birthday exceeded my expectations!!! I will definitely be using her service in the future as well as recommending her to anyone! Thank you so much for the beautiful cake for my daughter!! :)

We recently booked Chocolate Rose for my wedding in January and I’m so glad we did! Since the beginning they were so nice and attentive and easy to work with. I made a few changes along the way and they were so quick to accommodate and make sure I got what I wanted. The guests loved the cake and the dessert platters (they were gone in seconds I barely had time to try them all myself)! It was perfect. Exactly how I imagined it.

Used Chocolate Rose for our wedding desserts and they were great! We had mini cannolis, eclairs, fruit tarts, chocolate raspberry truffles and chocolate Oreos and they were absolutely delicious! Cake was beautiful and delicious!

Our desserts from Erin at the chocolate rose bakeshop were absolutely everything we could have hoped for. Our wedding was made even more special by the delicious Venetian pastries and cake made by Erin. The cake was exactly what I pictured for our wedding. She delivered on taste and look! I couldn’t believe how delicious and fresh the cake and pastries tasted. The pecan squares were such a hit! The price was so reasonable too!

Erin did our wedding cake and cupcakes and everything was delicious! There wasn’t one cupcake left! Erin was easy to work with and everything turned out just how we wanted!

Chocolate Rose Bakeshop did an incredible job on our wedding cake--not only did the end result look exactly how I had pictured, but it also tasted delicious. I highly recommend them.

I ordered a simple 8" round cake for our 10th anniversary. I drove to their shop during my lunch hour at the designated time to pick it up. However, do to a mix up the cake was never made. So why the 5 stars?...She offered to make the cake right then and deliver it to our house that evening. She arrived right on time with a beautiful cake. She would not accept any payment and just stated that it was her error and it was no charge. I thought customer service Iike that did not exist any more. Thanks for renewing my faith in humanity... and the cake was absolutely delicious.

I called Chocolate Rose Bakeshop on February 7 to place a order for my daughter's 1st birthday which is the Feb 19. We asked for a princess cake, we went into detail about the colors and we wanted her name on it. We agreed that we will come pick up the cake on on Feb 18 at 10 am.She made sure we knew it was the house with the purple mail box. Ok see you then. We get to Chocolate Rose at 10 am on Feb the 18 which is today. She told us she doesn't remember talking to us and she does not have our cake. Highly disappointed we just left. I have never wrote a review about anyone's business in my life. If you have a special event and you need some kind of pastry or cake I wouldn't rely The Chocolate Rose Bakeshop for your need. Highly disappointed!

Erin from Chocolate Rose Bakeshop is fantastic to work with. She baked and designed our wedding cake as well as the cupcakes for our guests. Everything was delicious and the decorating was superb and tailored to our wedding theme! You could really see the care she put into her work as the wedding day cakes tasted even better than the initial tasting. We highly recommend her!

I found out about Erin through our venue. She made not only our wedding cake, but also cookie favors for our guests and cupcakes for our rehearsal dinner! She is so talented. The cake was delicious and everyone loved the favors. They really added to our decor and they matched our wedding colors perfectly. The cupcakes were also a big hit at the dinner. Her prices are very reasonable, and she was friendly and easy to communicate with. She also worked with our florist to make sure the cake was decorated how we envisioned with fresh flowers the day of the wedding! Highly recommend working with Erin for your wedding day desserts.

Amazing sweets the food she makes is great

we ordered a cake for our sons 5th birthday. it was amazing! she made it like a dinosaur scene where the dinosaurs were grazing in a plain and it looked great my son loved it. then we ate it and the taste was perfect. by far one of the best cakes iv had.

I ordered a frozen themed birthday cake for my daughter’s birthday and not only was it a gorgeous cake, it was also absolutely delicious!! Cannot recommend this bakery enough!

The last 6 years Erin been doing my kids cake every single birthday and every single time she is absolutely amazing 100 % happy with every cake she never disappoint me . Highly recommend 🥰😍🥰😍🥰

I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter. The cake was unbelievably beautiful and met all of my expectations and then some. From now on I will only get my cakes and goodies at Chocolate Rose Bakeshop. What a hidden gem I have found here in Griswold. Coming from Boston we have a lot of the best cakes and pastries you can find, but now I’m really excited to have found this place, and Erin couldn’t be any more accommodating and amazingly artistic!

Delicious and awesome looking cakes

She was great to work with! She was recommended to us by the event planner we were working with, and I'm so glad we picked her! We planned our wedding in CT from FL, so having the cake planning process go smoothly was such a relief, she was very patient with me bouncing ideas off of her and even changing my mind about decoration, as well as very helpful when I explained my budget and she really helped with explaining we could do within that. She even worked with me and one of my friends who was more local to get some samples together for us to try! They were all so delicious, but we picked the lemon cake with strawberry frosting and an almond vanilla frosting. We left fresh berries at the venue for her to set along the teirs, and she placed them perfectly. The cake was beautiful, and at the venue on time and everything. We are so happy with the service and quality we received!

A very decorative cake. It was nicely done. A bit pricey for .my taste. It's a home bake shop a bit tricky to find off of a back road and down a looking driveway.

The Chocolate Rose is a wonderful find! The owner, Erin, is an absolute pleasure to work with and extremely talented. Erin created an array of cupcakes with a variety of filling and flower decorations that fit our wedding perfectly and were stunning. The two tier cake she baked was beautiful, the flowers looked real and the white cake with vanilla frosting was a favorite among guests. In addition, Erin's pricing was completely reasonable and would compete with most bakeshops in the state. Not only that, but Erin went above and beyond communicating with us and ensuring we had exactly what we envisioned, she even used specific decorations for specific cupcakes so we could appropriately label them. We are thrilled we went with the Chocolate Rose Bakeshop for our wedding desserts and highly recommend Erin!
