Worth every penny. If you can eat a lot, esp DELICIOUS protein, get the rodizio. If you can't eat too much in one sitting, get a meal. If you're gonna drop $50, get something you can take home (not available on the AYCE rodizio. Servers were pleasant, table carvers were personable and charismatic, owner made rounds to each group at least twice during our stay. Plenty of parking, scenic Musconetcong River in the backdrop. Outdoor seating. Liquor license, authentic Brazilian soda. Thanks, Maria & Joe.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is very pleasant with a gorgeous view of a river. The meat is served from skewers and sliced at your table. Our favorites were the garlic flavored. Side dish choices while tasty, were very limited. We were assigned helpful, but very new staff people who in time will be very competent, so please be kind If you are not familiar with this type of dining, make sure you get information or ask the staff prior to ordering

The owner is a hard working honest man who cares about his customers and business. Take the family here. Support your local resturant, octopus is to die for. Sangria is fantastic, bread is fresh. You won't be disappointed.

The service, the food, and the atmosphere were all nice. Rodizio meats were a little too salty for my taste, but they were prepared well, and service for Rodizio was very good. Overall, it was a good experience.

Rodizio was salty. The waiter told us she would split the bill 2 ways, and at the end, she didn't. The manager came out and was so rude. It's not a friendly place to go. Would not recommend to family or friends.

Service was garbage! Barely paid attention to us, brought out meat way after sides, too much time in between…. What they did serve was flavorless & too salty.

Horrible service, food was not up to par, others who had the rodizio was told they weren't allowed to have anymore that was the last time they were coming, it took so long for the food I almost fell asleep. Sea bass was tuff and not pleasant at all. Server was nasty gave us dirty looks all night. The rodizio server was also very nasty told my mom she wasn't allowed to have the meat cooked more what they brought out was raw and fatty still.

From my party the Trio was the only worth wild dish. The sea bass was hard most likely cooked from frozen, did not taste like fish at all. Will never return and will never recommend! The service is absolutely horrendous.

Absolutely delicious and great service. The appetizers were the best and the desserts were amazing. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the main courses. The service was great. We asked them to turn the temp down a little and they did immediately and then inquired if it was okay. Oh, my, gosh, get the sangria, yum!!! Great for making reservations for large parties and beautiful outside areas.

Four of us had fantastic meals at Churrascaria Paladar tonight. The menu offers many options for all of us. One had a bacon wrapped filet skewer, another had a shrimp dish. I have never seen that many shrimp in a restaurant meal ever, and they were excellent. Another had bacon wrapped chicken skewer, and I had chicken Minho - chicken breast, Portuguese sausage, hot and sweet peppers in an amazing broth. The food was fantastic. The dining room is very nicely decorated, and the service was very good. We will go back over and over. We look forward to dining on the patio, too. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. This place is a cut above.

Amazing Food and the servers are FAST you can barley keep up with all the meats. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

I’m familiar with churrascaria in Queens and Newark NJ. We decided to give this place a try. We were very disappointed at the high prices,limited options, and low quality of the overly salted meat. I’m convinced their meat comes from ShopRite. Look elsewhere.

Great service, and the food was delicious!

I am so Dissapointed as I have came here in the past and love the experienced. I went with my family for my father’s birthday and we were the only table there. The waiter barely came to ask for how we were doing. The meat came out and hour later and the server was SO RUDE. One worded responses, attitude, mumbled, and avoided eye contact. He could not be bothered with our questions about what each meat was - how would we know ? I was so disappointed- and the cherry on top, all of us got sick…..

This is a place everyone should eat at !

We made a reservation for 7:30 pm on 2/24/24, arrive on time. There was no hostes, kept making eye contact with service people, took awhile for someone to greeted us. Restaurant was not busy, there were approximately 5-6 tables. Waitress was definitely stress and we could tell she was annoyed by us. I was a waitress during my collage time, so I am highly empathetic with service people. An hour later 8:35 pm, we were still sitting on the table just with our drinks. I asked the waitress if our food was on its way, which she responded in a very rude and condescending way "well, you ask for Ribeye and that takes a while to cook" I was shocked and answer "a mid-rare cook Ribeye takes long to cook?" by this point I had have it with the bad service which I asked her to bring us the check. We left with a empty stomach and a very bad service taste.

Worst service I have ever had anywhere. We were looking for a place to take the family for my daughter’s birthday, so we decided possibly here, but let’s try it out first. We got to this place, my husband was really hungry, me less. So he got the all-you-can-eat and I got soup and steak for main course. Servers walked around handing out pieces of meat to everyone who ordered the all-you-can-eat, but my husband got nothing. I got my soup and he still got nothing. We asked our server who told us he could start getting food when I got my main course. I told her he was hungry and wanted to eat now. She refused and walked away. We asked several others, and at some point the owner came out, but they still refused to feed him. Even when my soup was done, they still made him wait until my main course was cooked. So when we were done, I wrote on the receipt that it was terrible service and we would not be back. We still left a tip, albeit somewhat less than our usual 20% (we gave 11%). As we were walking to our car the owner came out of the restaurant and started yelling at us at the top of her voice, how she didn’t want us to ever come back and how dare we. I have never heard of anyone yelling at their customers before because of a complaint written on the receipt; that was the straw that made me write this review. Definitely worst customer service ever.

What a beautiful place . Top notch service, delicious food & drink.

Jose and Maria present delicious Brazilian Portuguese cusine in our small town - a true gem! Shrimp appetizer to die for! Their rodizio is outstanding, with fezhoada just like back home. NonTheir palmitas salad and roasted bananas with cheese bread (pom de quezo) are delicious. They make the best caipirinho! Sweet and heady. Desserts are amazing. Enjoy scr7mptious brigadeiro cake with cafezinho al fresco on their patio beside the Musconetcong. On your way out the door, check out their artistic stone bar top - shipped from Brazil. In summary, it is truly a pleasurable dining experience, not to be hurried! Those wishing fast food service can find junky options on the greasy strip.

Food was very good, we were 4, and through some cosmic luck, were sat right away in a busy dining room on a Saturday night. Everyone was wonderful, the only ding is that we waited quite awhile for someone to come after we were all done with dinner. We wanted coffee and dessert, but really this might be unfair: while we waited there were three Happy Birthday events, and more before this. None of us ordered the "meat experience" but all the food was delicious, everyone enjoyed their choice.

Absolute favorite restaurant and only gets better. We go regularly Service, ambiance and quality are superb. Thank you!!!

This is a hidden gem in hackettstown NJ with amazing food and service. Every time we go there for dinner the quality of the food is excellent and the service is top notch.

The staff here is very nice, the food is not! We were supposed to be getting the rodizio for $56.00 per person, but buyer beware... It is not worth it! We received about 6 pieces of fatty meat, and then they never returned. If you are interested in a real rodizio experience (outside of the Newark area), try Atlantic Manor in Ogdensburg.

This place has drastically declined in service, quality, and overall experience. As long time customers, we chose to dine here recently and were met with huge disappointment. It was the most chaotic and frantic environment for a restaurant establishment with mediocre food at best. Staff were slamming menus, dishware, pacing nervously, and had seemingly lost control over the place. On one occasion, a waiter carried a chair directly above the heads of people who were dining to their utter shock and dismay. We did not receive what we ordered, despite bringing it to staff’s attention multiple times. We were also seated at a table with glass bottles above us that were an imminent hazard to any diner. Beyond sanitary and safety reasons, it was mayhem and far from the cozy, intimate ambiance we had patronized before. We repeatedly tried to address our concerns with management but were dismissed with a simple “sorry”. In fact, our experience was so bad that our waiter declined to accept our tip because there was nothing that could salvage the situation. We regret having given this place our business but we will not make the same mistake twice.

In my opinion this is the best Rodizio restaurant in NJ! Joe (owner) and the staff are friendly, accommodating and attentive. Drinks are top shelf and the meats are delicious. The location is a little small but that adds to the intimacy of the ambiance.

My daughter and husband had the paella. I had steak on the rack. We were 6 of us and were satisfied with plenty of food . I highly recommend this place. Yes, the cost was higher than most but for us it was Christmas Eve and special.

I don’t quite understand how the rodizio is all you can eat and I’ve been waiting at the table for just over 40 MIN and still haven’t gotten more meat served. Strangest rodizio I’ve been to quite honestly. Never had to ask, let alone WAIT at any rodizio spot I’ve ever been to. For the price, UNACCEPTABLE. Literally still sitting here as I write waiting for food.

Expectations were high. I was disappointed. Very very noisy, could barely hold a conversation. Appetizer was a huge disappointment, octopus was extremely chewy. A very long wait for food to arrive, requested medium rare, received well done. Was hoping waiter would come back but eventually had to flag someone down. Unfortunately, will not recommend or return.

I fell in love with Brazilian food when I first met my fiancée who is from Brazil. I was very excited to come here for my future mother in laws birthday dinner hoping to have delicious food and a good night. WE DID NOT HAVE ANY OF THAT! We all got the rodizio and the meet was not at all how normal Brazilian rodizio is. The steaks were drenched in garlic, and so tough to cut. I have been working in restaurant's for the last 6 years and the servers acted as if it was their first day. We were sitting there with no food for over 1 hour while the guys walked around giving every other table around us their rodizio. When my fiancee asked if he could also get some the guy just said “No” and walked away. Our server was nice, but the rest of the service was ridiculous. I can say the owner was very sweet and she was saying the food is not as good due to an accident she had gotten into she can no longer be the head chef. I really hope she gets better soon her accident was pretty bad. I have to say you need to have a back up plan/chef… and your back up chef should be able to at least fulfill the same recipe standards as usual. This is a restaurant business you always need to be prepared for the worst. All I can say is how dissatisfied and disappointed I am. The price we had to pay for this was insane and a joke. I hate to leave such a negative review but I don't want other customers having the same experience we did.

Stay away! This place has changed. Total rip off. It is NO LONGER good. They serve only the cheap undesirable meats then cut you off. They will be out of business soon they way they are ripping customers off. And we were long time loyal customers there when they were in the smaller place on Main St. No longer. We are done. What a shame they got greedy.

First of all we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food. We ordered Rodizio and all of the different types of meat were TOO SALTED. It was Definitely a bad experience never coming back again.

We had the rodízio last night and the food was amazing. The sangria was just perfect! Thank you to the amazing stay. They were very friendly and attentive.

We decided to try this place because we didn’t want to drive an hour to our regular rodizio place on a school night with the kid. The food was incredibly subpar and worth nowhere near the price we paid. Zero sauce available, meats were flavorless, the sausage was a hot dog. Would not return ever under any circumstances. The only plus was that the servers were attentive and nice.

Wish they had more options on their Rodizio - otherwise, good.

Went for dinner with 3 friends. Didn't know what to expect. Was pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity of food. The wine and desert were excellent as well. Very positive experience!

Place is nice. I had Rodizio, was ok, my wife asked for med well lamb, they were well done, no good ,was not able to eat to dry. drinks not so good, We asked for one margarita because I wanted to taste my wife's drink before I ordered one. We asked them to add grand marnier... the drink came and was good...asked the server to make me one... Drink came back and it didn't taste right, told the server, he took it back and came back with the same drink.... my wife refused to drink it...lol... I told the server, what happened....its not the same drink at all.... so you would think they wouldn't charge u for a drink that sat on the table... but they did...server said because they made it twice...lol... won't be going back! You want Rodizio check out the place Boi Na Brasa Bar & Grill in Iron bound section on Newark...

Too decadent, food was delicious. Meat overdose

Took nearly an hour to get our food. The sides were tasty and serving sizes were good for our table of six. The meat took even longer to come out, and while tasty, it was extremely salty, too salty for some of us to enjoy. Servers were not very attentive with anything except refilling our waters, which were always filled to the brim and nearly impossible to lift. The dining room was also extremely loud, and we couldn’t hear our servers or each other without yelling. Overall the Rodizio was a fun experience but the service was not up to par with the price.

Waiting time was a lot and it wasn't packed also waiters instead of lifting up the chairs when rearranging the tables just gragg them and make a really loud noise that don't let you hear the person next to you speaking

This is a nice restaurant with attentive servers. I do wish they had a salad bar like other rodizios. But overall, the experience was pleasant. The meat was plentiful and, for some, perhaps salty, but for us, it was just right 😋.

Best Rodizio in town! When you go there, don't ask for the menu, just ask for the Rodizio and a pitcher of red sangria. Wait till you have the chicken wrapped in bacon. Let me know what you think!

I am surprised by some of the negative reviews I read because my wife and I went for the first time last night and I was blown away. I like rodizio and have been to many and this was one of the best. I would somewhat agree with the one reviewer that said some of the meat was heavy on the salt. There were some meats that could have had less salt, but not bad at all. I hope they will add roasted pineapple for the last course of the rodizio...I have liked that at other Brazilian restaurants. The food, staff, service, and timing of the food coming out were all great.

My family and I have been coming here for years and it is the best Brazilian steakhouse in NJ! We love the staff and all the food is amazing. I could not recommend a place more than I do this one, by far my favorite place to go!

What happened, this place was great? Our waiter was SO rude. Bread was rock-hard. The small, tasteless side dishes sit on your table for an hour, in the hopes you fill up on beans, rice and greasy fried bananas (they have collard greens listed on the menu, but it's just kale). Once the Rodizio started being served, it was disappointing. We were served 5 things 1 after the other and then nothing for another hour. When we asked about the rest of the selection, the waiter said RUDELY "he brought you out everything already, was there something you wanted seconds of? ". About 20 minutes later they brought out 4 new things that were listed on the menu, that we in fact, had not been served. The only seasoning on all of the bland, tough, dry meats was very course salt. There were 3 of us and we waited so long for our mediocre meal, we left so unsatisfied. $300 for what? The sangria wasn't even yummy. No care went into our experience. Once the bill was dropped the waiter DISAPPEARED, we had to go to the bar to pay and leave.

We went here for Mother's Day. We were a party of 14. The bread was stale, they didn't even bring enough for 1 piece each. The waiter was nasty and curt. Most of us order the Rodizio. They cut the meat on one side of the table then reached over everyone to drop in the plates on the other side. They rushed us out and we didn't really get the all you can eat value. We won't be back any time soon.

Not good - very expensive for hardly any food. Plus the food was just o.k. The side dishes were awful and bread they brought out first was stale. No butter or spices provided with the bread.

My family and I came here for dinner and had the absolute worst experience. We were a party of 10 and 4 of us ordered the Rodezio. They barely came out with food and made us wait well over 2 hours to get a decent piece of meat after the rest of our party ate their dinner. Servers were rude and to top it off charged us 20% gratuity for low quality food, service, and ambiance. Avoid at all costs and go elsewhere. Does not deserve half a star

Took 45 mins to get food. No where near the selection of meat from other Brazilian steakhouses I have gone to before. Also had to keep asking for meat usually you have to ask for no more. Meats were very salty.

I have loved this place for YEARS. Even when they were at their old location. I'm a little sad. I used to rate them 5 stars. My experience tonight made me feel like they are slipping a bit. First and foremost (like everything) the price of the rodizio is up. Beyond that, there was not as much variety in the rodizio as there used to be and I feel there was a lot of chicken and pork pushed off instead of steak. Also I noticed that the meats seemed like they were salted more than they used to be which is usually a sign that lower quality meats are being used. TLDR: Higher price and lower quality!? 😭

Had a wonderful time there tonight celebrating 3 birthdays. Food was delicious and staff wonderful! Our waiter Matt was fantastic! Highly recommend!

I love this place!!! As a Brazilian, I'm really happy to have a place like this in Warren County. Definitely worth it the experience. The service is great, food amazing, nice atmosphere, I can't complain about anything. The price is fair, and there's lots of options even for those who are not familiar with Brazilian food.

If you love the taste of salt on your rodizio this is the place for you! If you like your meat crunchy from the large amount of rock salt applied, definitely come eat here. If you have a sodium deficiency in your diet, look no further. I am still sweating out the large quantity of salt I consumed last night. Might as well strapped a salt lick block around my neck. Awful. 🤢

Went here for my wife’s birthday and was VERY disappointed with the rodizio. It was very salty to the point you couldn’t enjoy it all. After we paid our check I spoke with the manager and the owner of the place who were both very unprofessional and rude!!! I offered some feed back and told them how salty the food was and I was wrong and didn’t know good food and it’s not possible. I think you might want to listen to you’re customers first instead of getting so defensive and dismissive. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone..

Hands down one of the best meals I've ever eaten. Lovely atmosphere and John who is possibly the owner was behind the bar and took care of me wonderfully as I dined alone. He gave amazing food recommendations and made me feel right at home. The food is made with love and Everything was so delicious!!!! Go eat here!!! 😁💜

Overall the food is decent, however, the service left a lot to be desired. We waited over an hour just to receive an appetizer and were made to wait a significant amount of time for our entrées and dessert as well. In addition, they combined similar side dishes in a communal bowl with no notice, which was unheard for me. The chairs were also very uncomfortable, leading to an unpleasant experience.

You come here for rodizio and they say they don't have x... y... or z. So you would think they supplement it but they won't. Don't come here for rodizio. Spent close to $1000 for my party and they were not accommodating at all.... go somewhere else.

My goto restaurant whenever I want to have a great time. I always take an UBER there because I cannot resist the caparinas. I used to park myself at Fernandos in Newark, but the Rodizio is so good here, there is no reason to drive to the ironbound anymore. Best thing that ever happen to Warren County.

I generally eat here once a year when the weather is just right to dine by the river. I made reservations and I'll be honest, they were clear that we may not be able to dine outside due to staffing issues. I made the reservation anyway with the hopes that we'd be able to sit outside. I called about an hour before our reservation to ask about outside dining. I was told if I didn't have a reservation I wouldn't be able to because they were booked. I told her I had a reservation so she said I would be able to eat outside. We arrived and were told there was a wedding outside that they didn't know about and we could sit by the window. She also said there were bees outside so it wasn't good. So we reluctantly took a seat by the window and looked outside to empty tables. We saw no signs of a wedding. Not quite sure why they couldn't just be truthful and say the outside was closed when we tried to make a reservation. The food and service were both decent but pretty high priced for what we got. I doubt we'll be back.

Terrible terrible service. We came and sat down, ordered drinks and appetizer and then when it came to ordering the main course we wanted seafood and here we go, now seafood at all only Rodizio!!!! And then we waited an hour for it to come out while 10 people who came much later were served already. When I questioned the waiter he started having an attitude so my friend immediately said we are leaving. Some manager came over to say the food is coming out but we were so mad already we left. Nobody apologized for not having half of the dishes in the menu or the fact that we waited for so long. Nobody offered a discount. Plain attitude. We ended up in Portuguese restaurant in Newark and that was fantastic.

Had an excellent date night with my wife. She got the boneless ribeye and I did the rodizio. Both were excellent and service left nothing to be desired. The whole experience was with the price and the atmosphere was very elegant yet homey. Great for a date night, celebrating a special occasion, or just a nice dinner

Beautiful place nice ambiance. Rodizio was on point , I had the paella but unfortunately came out like a soup the seafood was frozen the taste is like a broth, I'm very disappointed was my first time here and definitely not impressed. On a positive note service was great all around.

Nice atmosphere...there is outside seating in beautiful surroundings...our waiter was attentive and we never had to call for him...food was absolutely delious! Desert and capacino was good...you can dress up or casual...best to make a reservation if you can...

It's a shame that such an attractive looking restaurant should leave the diner so disapointed with the meal. Half our party was finished with their meal before the rest of us got our rodizio served. Some of the meat was raw while others like the short ribs were overcooked and hard as rocks. The meat came out sporaticaly with intervals of 15 minutes or longer. All the meats tasted the same anyway and the serving was far too long.

This place was great. I've been looking for real Brazilian steakhouse since moving out here and this place. Does the job. Not just do. They have a huge selection of meat that they bring to your table when you order the rodizio, but they have different styles of preparing it from garlic rub to just salt and pepper to a crazy parmesan rub. That was really good on some meats but not everything. The rodizio order also comes with a bunch of side dishes which is nice cuz most places don't do this. The actual menu look pretty legitimate too. I almost didn't even get the rodizio. Fiance had the paella which seemed a little subpar to be honest. My mom also didn't really like the cordon bleu, I didn't get to try it. I'll let it slide because you don't go to rodizio to get something other than meat, but they should up the non rodizio entrees a bit. The bar looked really nice even though we didn't drink there, I will definitely be coming back to check out the bar. And the outdoor seating by the river looks amazing, I'm surprised it didn't even offer it to us cuz you can't see it from the entrance. But once we sat down and I saw the tables outside, I wish we sat outside. Overall we will be coming back and we were very happy.

Unfortunately it has gone down hill. They want to pack the restaurant with people but are unable to provide a good service, new servers are very very rude. If you are doing the churrasco they offer chicken and pork meat upfront and leave the other meats at the end, you might not even get some meats that’s supposed to be on the menu. Sangria is super watered down, it literally tastes like water with lots of ice, lots of money for some ice if you ask me. Won’t be going back anytime soon. They charge $50 for rodízio and you wait for meats like forever and ever, plus owner said he is not charging much and will start charging $60. If you have to drive over 30 min to eat at this place, just don’t.

It was good. I thought every meat tasted exactly the same. There was a garlicy meat at the end. Anyhow, it's an experience. Next time I may try a dish instead of the meat thing. Staff was excellent and the prices seemed fair for the amount of time we were there and the service. The white sangria was great!
