We went to Cibos on Sunday and started out with a Caprese and bread. Both were fantastic. My wife ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and I had the chicken parmesan. Mine was oK, very bland. My wife had a different experience. She found a piece of cellophane in her meal. It was about 3 inches long and we suspect they roll the meatballs in cellophane to store them. Either way they missed this piece and therefore my wife was really interested in eating of my meal either. Jacob the waiter was very apologetic, but no one from management, if there is management, came by to talked to us about the experience. This was really bad to have this happen and then for the management to not give a crap was very enlightening on how the place is run. Needless to say we will never return.

The service and drinks were great! So was the hot bread with the olive topinad , oil with garlic and balsamic. The meal was unmemorable. So much so, we can’t remember what it was. However the people we dined with ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and I had a bite of that and it was delicious!

We return to Cibo time and time again, always enjoying delicious food and impeccable service. The past two visits, we were served by James, who was excellent! We can’t wait to enjoy the veal chop again!

Great Italian food in a low key atmosphere. Reservations are a must no matter the season. My wife had the fish special and I had the chicken parmigiana, both were delicious. Service was slow at times but our servers were polite and friendly . Even the bussers were great.We were even thanked for dining there when we left. Nice to feel valued as customers. Thanks for a great evening, we haven’t been here for awhile but will definitely be back after last nights experience.

First time and won’t be our last time. Audrey and Nick the bartenders were great. They actually listened to what we wanted! The sauce was excellent! Tomatoey just like I like it. Calamari was crisp and delicious served with a spicy marinara and a lemon caper aioli.

Love this place. The food and service is excellent. You will not be disappointed.

I had one of the best meatballs I have ever had. Being from New England that's saying something with all the great Italian restaurants. Frutti Di Mare with Halibt was fantastic! And Affogato desert was great!

Hosted a birthday party for a table of 7. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. Also, the total bill was a nice surprise. They’ve kept their prices fair and their portions large unlike most restaurants in this area lately. I truly felt like I was in a family owned establishment. Can’t wait to go back!!

Although not as spectacular as previous visits, the food was still better than most fine dining places. Pictured is the pork chop, which was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I had the ravioli, which was homemade. The vodka sauce on top wasn't my favorite. The pasta had some hard spots on the edge, like it wasn't all the way cooked. The other guests had the filet, which was above expectations. Juicy, but not as tender as in the past. Overall, it was a good dining experience. Oh, and it was very loud. Acoustics were such that o could hear other tables' conversations better than in our own booth. Not sure that can be fixed, but an observation.

There are plenty of good restaurants in Lee County, and service starts to set them apart. Cibo is fortunate to have one of the best servers, and his name is James. He will turn your night out into an extraordinary event.

The food is so fresh, and its worth waiting for. Our waiter, James was great too! Friendly guy, and never forgot about us while we were there.

Food and service were great. We were a party of 8. Everyone enjoyed their food. I got the dry aged strip and it was cooked to perfection. The carred octopus was also very good. Perfect char. The one knock I have is the place seemed really tight with the number of tables and getting to the bathroom. Overall it was very good

Enjoyed a girls' night out with wine, great food, and good conversation. You could really have an entire meal just from the appetizers, but the entrees are worth the extra $$. The gnocchi with mushrooms and truffle are to die for, the carpaccio is delicious, as are the scallops. I've never had a bad meal here. Highly recommend!

Cibo is the perfect place for a cozy intimate date night. This is where we went on our first anniversary, where we took both our parents to dinner to meet for the first time, and where we go for other special occasions. I just had the salmon last night... OMG!!! I could not stop "mmmm"-ing after every bite... the servers always go over the specials with you in detail, know the menu like the back of their hands, and make it the beat night possible for their guests. Ugh... again I say, I can't wait to go back there again!

Amazing Italian. Intimate atmosphere

Fantastic experience in every way! Our very knowledgeable and attentive waiter, Wally, was tremendous! His recommendations were spot on, and we thoroughly enjoyed the meatball and gnocchi for apps, the bread with 3 choices of spreads; and our sensational entrees of lasagna, and Ravioli special with mushrooms and beef (notice photo, not a drop left on our plates!). I might also mention that the grated Parmesan cheese was exceptional! Our cocktails were perfectly mixed by the bartender, Nick. The newly refurbished interior was well done! This restaurant easily fits my criteria for 5 stars!!

Not only was the food phenomenal. Emma our waitress made the experience 10x better. She was funny, sweet and was on point with everything. I’ve been to cibos before but she stood out for sure I’ll request her in the future.

The Chicken Parmesan was amazing. I also sampled the Beef Bolognese and the lasagna and both were excellent. My sister had requested James to be our waiter and he was terrific. The owner, Craig Komatz, personally went around to each table to make sure everything was perfect.

First time visitor, heard great things about your restaurant. Service was great, food was great. Problem was that I ordered a house red wine, expecting a medium priced beverage as I am not wine expert. Bill came and it turned out that the house Pino is $15.00 a glass. Waitress should have advise up front. Bad move. Tarnished the evening.

Cool place. Good happy hour prices and food in the bar area. Anything made with Stoli Vodka is on the happy hour special. The meatball and crab cake are delish! Service was top notch!

I've been going to Cibo's for about 15 years and they're a pillar of consistency. The food is always outstanding and the wait staff is even better. Stiff drinks which is a plus. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Love love love Cibo BUT this last visit was not good. Food sooo great. Sat early for our reservation great. Waitresses should be working @ Dennys not Cibo. Unfriendly and impatient and did not check back to make sure our food was correct until time to bring the check. Watched manager sit @ tiny table by the hostess station eating a tiny cup of noodles for 20 plus minutes. Please management get up during dinner rush and do walk through to greet the tables... unfortunately had better service today @ Twin Peaks... might want to recruit some of those gals since they are super friendly and extremely informative!

Close to 5* experience, the menu/food offers a good selection that veers just a bit off the common italian basics to intrigue your taste buds, simple extras like the warm crusty bread with a few palette pleasers like garlic butter, EVOO and olive tempanade. Tonight we had the charred Octopus and Ricotta Gnocchi as appy's then the chicken marsala and shrimp and scallops with sweet pea prosciutto risotto. All was quite good, the risotto was a bit the consistency of pastina the texture was just a bit watery but overall the entrées were very good, Wine by the glass is reasonable, our waiter Wally, was very nice and on it. Some menu choices are pricey, as a table of 2, we spent $132 w/tip. The only knock on this quaint, storefront eatery is the choice of background music, for a restaurant that has the makings of a fine dining astethtic, classic rock (i.e., Jethro Tull) garbled over noisy conversation in the dining room is an odd choice that diminishes an otherwise decent ambience. All in all, we had a very good experience and would add this to our list of favorite places. And recommend as well.

My wife and I joined friends at CIBO for the first time. It is with great pleasure to report this restaurant has exceeded all the dining expectations. The hostess was pleasant, the team helping our server were so efficient. And Wally our server was outstanding to say the least. Beyond that, the food was wonderful. Needless to say, although a45 drive, we will return.

As former local restaurant owners, l/we met some our previous customers here for an evening out & knowing an exceptional dinner experience. We were originally sat in the center of the dining area & asked to be moved over in the corner so we could hear each other’s conversation ( we’re not all hard of hearing it was just too loud in the center of the dining area, lol ) we were able to move but informed we needed to be done by 8pm (no problem). Drinks & wine served, appetizers ordered & delivered, perfect! Entree’s served fabulous I had the Veal Chop, my husband had the Pork Chop, our friends had the Veal Marsala & Lamb Chops! Perfect 👍! It was getting to be 7:30 pm, and they cleared our plates away & packed up our to go dinners, and asked about dessert. We looked at the menu & truly we didn’t have any room, but it looked & sounded delicious. So now it’s about 7:45, and a woman came up to the table & blatantly said there’s a high top in the bar area you can go to for your desserts & coffee drinks! We looked at each other and said that we were getting ready to get up, as we had just paid the check. Not for anything but the next time you address a table please check with your server first to see what the status is of his/ or her table… because the way you handled it was not necessarily the right way in all of our eyes! We knew what time we needed to vacate the table & we were right on target. Again when addressing a customer there’s a right way & a wrong way, and the way you handled it was definitely the WRONG way! 😞 Too bad as otherwise it was a perfect & exceptional dining evening and service was spot on! Just wanted to share our thoughts…

We were recommended this restaurant by several people so we decided to make a reservation for Valentine’s Day, since that is the day my husband proposed at an Italian restaurant, and wanted to go with our neighbors and their son. Unfortunately they would take the reservation for 4 adults and a child on that day. So sad that a small child gets your reservation denied. Will not try this restaurant in the further for that reason. I did call and left a message. When called back I was told that I could make a reservation for 4 but if the child was in a highchair the I could have the reservation. So apparently you were not booked when I talked to your person. What’s the difference between a high hair at the table and a chair for a child at the table.

Unfortunately Tourist Don't Have Enough Common Sense Not to come to a 4star restaurant in flip flops and tank tops.

This was our second time at CIBO. We went with friends who eat there often, and always speak highly of the food and service. That was certainly the case on our most recent visit and we'll certainly go back.

Cibos is a wonderful Italian restaurant. Recently remodeled and seems more spacious. Great for birthdays, anniversaries, or any celebration meal. Fantastic food, wine, & service as always.

Edit: I got food poisoning, my father in-law ate my leftovers and got food poisoning as well. The food was okay, we expected more from the reviews. My pasta’s sauce was olive oil and garlic based, I could not taste garlic and the olive oil did not taste like it was good quality. The parmesan they put on the table was also very low quality, white looking and barely tasted like parmesan. My husband had the spaghetti meatballs, the meatballs were okay but the spaghetti was very tasteless. Overpriced for what it is. Service was great!

Outstanding food! I finally tried this place after hearing about it for months. Everything tastes unbelievably fresh and the menu features something for everyone. Carmen, our server, was so lovely and attentive. Now I understand what the hype is about. This may be the best restaurant I've tried in SWFL.

Great Italian restaurant great sauce

We’ve been recommended this place time and time again. We finally decided on a whim to try it out and I’m so glad we did! The atmosphere was good. The service was incredible! Our server was knowledgeable and helpful in recommending her personal favorites. The food was outstanding! I can’t say enough good things about the gnocchi or their banana bread desert. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend cibo!

Horrible food and horrendous overall experience- food tasted frozen- two people in our party had one bite and left the rest of entree- waiter didn't even ask what was wrong- we used to go regularly before COVID and was a nice place- not only has food gone downhill but inside looks like a pizza restaurant- nothing what it used to look like and food was much better in past. We were suspicious when we saw the low prices online- place has completely changed from the past.

This service and foods was excellent at this location. The reason for only 4 stars is that there is no ambience outside the restaurants.

For quality Italian food, this place can't be beat. Great food, fabulous service and fair pricing. But CIBO is VERY popular, so getting a reservation can be difficult, sometimes impossible. Plan well ahead and you won't be disappointed..

We have ordered food for pick up here 4 times. Egg plant Parm and Chicken Parm are brilliant. I had the Mahi it was tasty but served with a few potatoes. Was hungry when finished. I think the food is great

Green pasta 🍝 and the gnocchi is amazing

The food is solid. Nothing to effuse about but very satisfying. The ambiance is warm and the drinks fantastic. The server was a 10 Out of 10 in terms of service, efficiency and engagement. A good place to kick back and have some Comfort food!

This was our first visit. We went for our Anniversary. We had the gnocchi appetizer. It was fabulous. My husband had the lasagna and I had a special of Cajun Wahoo. They were both delicious. We took half of each home. We split a tiramisu. Also delicious. Great service and reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

I was looking for a great meal, from all that I heard about the place. My wife ordered the fish special, which she said was excellent. I ordered the seafood Frutti Di Mare, I was very disappointed, the shrimp was like it was cooked a week ago then just thrown in, the calamari was basically non existant 2 little rings the clams were the smallest I have every seen, the broth was flavorless. VERY DISAPPOINTED. The other couple just ordered spaghetti and meatballs, they said were good. 3 out of 4 not bad.

I wanted to try a new restaurant that was not far from me. I found Cibo and read the reviews. All the reviews looked pretty darn good! I made a reservation for four at the last minute. They actually took us in on time, much appreciated! The place is small, but clean and very cute. The service was very good. The wine list is outdated. Very disappointing that the wines on the list were either not available or vintages were incorrect. As for the food, fantastic! Spaghetti with meat balls, awesome!! HUGE portion, can be divided for 2!! Salad was fresh and cold…yummy!! Bread was hot served with an array of toppings!! Since it was my birthday the treated to dessert…tiramisu…BEST I’ve had ever in FLORIDA!!! Highly recommended to dine here!!! Lovely little dinner cafe!!

Our party of 4 was shown to our table promptly. Cocktails were brought & we toasted to a birthday among us. Each ordered a different entree: Swordfish, Grouper, Salmon, Crab stuffed ravioli…fish were flakey & tender, homemade ravioli was scrumptious. A birthday tiramisu dessert was served to our table and every bite was delicious. This is a great restaurant hidden away in a strip mall down on McGregor-please look it up-it’s a great place!

What a great place! We absolutely loved the Italian food. The meatballs are the best I’ve tasted. We were celebrating our 24th anniversary the owner offered us dessert on the house. The ricotta cheesecake is the best !!

Best Italian food in Lee County. Decor is dated. Servers are top notch!

Salads were great. Service was good ( at 1st ). I got the fish special mahi/Mahi, served in a broth, and still very dry. My brother in law got the meatballs ( at half the price), and they were delicious. If I'm Gonna spend $30 - $40 on a piece of fish please don't screw it up

Best steak ever!! Wow!! great atmosphere, waitress was very knowledgeable of menu and specials. Staff was busy but attentive and the owner took the time to check on tables during the visit. If we were here longer we would be going back again but it will have to wait till we return in January. “I’ll be back”

We arrived on a Tuesday and we’re surprised it was so busy. Luckily there were two seats at the bar and we sat and ordered. Everything was next level good!! I’d say call and get a reservation no matter what day it is because patrons say it’s like that every night. Enjoy!!
