Good people, great service, delicious food, and even better drinks. My second time at Cindy’s and I’ll definitely be back. Special thanks to Will for a tasty margarita and a warm Chicago welcome.

Food was bad. I got the ribeye, wife got the chicken. The $115 ribeye dish reminded me of something from Applebees, decked out with guacamole and all and a wide array of a messy dish. Everything that a beef meal should not be. The chicken was labeled as “roasted” but tasted more like boiled. No flavor and nothing going on with it. The foods just not Chicago. Do not come for the food. But the view and atmosphere is good.

The rooftop has such a vibrant and relaxing atmosphere with stunning views. The food is absolutely delicious – every dish I’ve tried has been spot on, and the drinks are fantastic too. Whether you’re there for brunch or dinner, the vibe and flavors never disappoint. Highly recommend it for a great dining experience with a view!

If you’re coming here come JUST for the view and leave. You do have the option to just “bar and view” just don’t go to the bar. If you can get a better view elsewhere then try that. The service was not nice. The people we walked up with to whom were obviously tourist then left even before we did. The bartenders were rude to the point where they began to gossip about us because their drinks were trash! We left immediately after taking our view pictures.

I’ve been in Chicago for a few years now and it took me this long to check out Cindy’s! Fantastic view of Millennium Park & Lake Michigan. Drinks were good. Loved our food. We ordered the salmon carpaccio & chicken and waffles. We did make reservations but it did not seem too busy on a Sunday which was nice.

The view is incredible! I suggest you reserve as it gets busy, we ate at the bar because there was no other option; However, the food is delicious as are the drinks, the service leaves a lot to be desired because once they serve you the food they don't come back to find out what you need and it took them a while to take our order. Excellent location!

Food average for the price. Service was dismal. Forgot our charcuterie board and brought it out after the first course. Rude about it and then brought the dinner out before we came close to finishing our board. Drinks were good. Would recommend going for drinks on the balcony and doing dinner elsewhere.

Cindy's Rooftop, this is perhaps the best restaurant that overlooks Chicago's famous The Bean or Cloud Gate from a vantage point. We had dinner here. The portions were small, but the presentation was beautiful, somewhat similar to the Fine Dining type. The best thing is their red wine. The sommelier recommended a bottle of great and smooth red wine based on our food. But the best thing is that you can go to the outdoor Rooftop to enjoy Millennium Park and The Bean, whether in the evening or in the morning. Looks great!

Cindy’s Rooftop is a must visit spot in Chicago, especially at sunset when it has unparalleled views of Millenium Park and the lakefront. For the views alone this is a five star spot but the cocktails were also well made! The food, on the other hand, is hit or miss. The charred broccoli rabe was excellent in both taste and price, while the rigatoni bolognese was a little bland and quite overpriced ($42). For dessert we got the grasshopper ice cream sandwich, which I found to be rich and delicious. My recommendation, stop in for the cocktails and the sunset views. You won’t regret it!

Food: The salmon bagel was loaded with smoke salmons and chive cream cheese. It’s quite light and nice with the tiny bit of radish. The oyster were really fresh with some pickled vinegar radish which made the taste rather too vinegary at times w the lemon on top. Service: our server was good, made sure we had everything and got our drinks promptly Ambiance: it’s a lot of natural lighting coming from the Celling and the view from the balcony is beautiful, you can see the been and crown fountain from there. I would recommend to try it once for the scene outside but there are plenty of rooftops that can offer the same kind of vibe and better food options. Location accommodation: I would recommend getting a reservation at least 2 weeks for weekends since that’s all they allow in advance and if you don’t get it right away, put yourself on the waitlist and there should be an opening in a few days later. It’s def known for the view and there are only 2 seaters allowed to sit by the balcony so anything more than that will sit inside. You can walk around and look at the edge by the most left corner but it is first serve to see and some people tend to stay and hang over there for awhile. So take turns when you can so that someone can see the view too

After our visit to Cindy’s, it was clear people only go there for the view. We were visiting from out of town and celebrating my dad’s birthday and it was just an underwhelming experience overall. First, the appetizers leave much to be desired. We ordered the grilled eggplant and the salmon carpaccio. Despite being described as “grilled”, the eggplant was cold. It was as if it had previously been frozen - horrible temperature and texture. It was also missing the fish sauce which, wouldn’t have made it good, but it sure would’ve helped. The salmon carpaccio was good, though. And I love raw food, but they could really benefit by including more cooked options for appetizers. Their current offering is too limited. Next, we ordered the fried Branzino and decided to split it amongst the three of us. We actually enjoyed it, it was perfectly cooked. But the pile of lettuce it comes with was unnecessary and added nothing. They could’ve paired it with a mango salad or even rice - anything other than Bibb lettuce. Lastly, the cocktails were decent. I ordered the Hawaiian Rose and then an Aperol Spritz. The Aperol Spritz was underwhelming and wasn’t even garnished with an orange slice. Something I found odd: our server told us the kitchen can only take “complete tickets.” I had never heard that before. My family and I like to order one course at a time, so it was slightly annoying having to put our entire order in at once. Like I said, it was an underwhelming experience. Their executive chef, Kaleena Bliss, was on an episode of a Food Network show that just aired and spoiler alert…. I’m not surprised she lost. Anyways, we went Wednesday, so we stayed to watch the fireworks, then left and went to La Grande Boucherie for a second night in a row (I can’t say enough good things about that place).

I was genuinely excited to visit Cindy’s Rooftop during our trip to Chicago, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. The stunning skyline view overlooking Millennium Park is certainly a highlight, but the rest of the dining experience was underwhelming. We started with oysters for the table, but were shorted a few. When we brought this to our server Colette's attention, she questioned us as if we were mistaken, which was disappointing. It took nearly an hour for our entrees to arrive, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. There were several empty tables, so the long wait was surprising. When the food finally arrived, it was just okay. I ordered the branzino, which was cooked well, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the overall lackluster experience. The green curry prawns and Campanella pasta were good, but nothing extraordinary. Considering the prices, the food simply didn’t measure up in terms of quality. The service was another letdown. Colette seemed irritated by the end of our meal, and instead of handing our cards back politely, she stacked them on the table, which felt dismissive. For a place with such high prices, the service should match, but it didn’t. While the view is beautiful, it’s not enough to bring me back. Overall, Cindy's Rooftop was a disappointment, and I wouldn’t recommend it for dining.

Very lucky to have chanced on two empty seats at the bar. We had amazing drinks, excellent service and delicious food. We started with oysters and shared the heirloom tomato salad and the green curry prawns. YUM!! 😋 our bill was a little pricey, but all of our own doing- we ordered the Octomore, which is difficult to find under most circumstances and a must when you do. 🥃 The atmosphere is open, airy and beautiful. I think this is the type of place you go just to say you’ve been there. While the food was okay, the prices were not really reflecting the quality. I had one of their big fish and while it tasted good it wasn’t nothing out of the ordinary, the side was just a bunch of greens. I ordered the baked potato and that was lacking big time. Drinks were probably the best thing here. Finally at the end we ordered a slice of cake and it came too late so we took it home. You’re not missing much besides the nice view.

On Google it is classified as one of the best rooftops in Chicago, and in fact the view is remarkable directly over Millennium Park and the Bean. However dinner was a disappointing experience. Booking was difficult as it was sold out for several days. You can only stand on the terrace (you can't dine), but I already knew this. The internal room where we dine had very strong air conditioning that came out directly in different points of the floor right under the sofas where people dine (and where our table was). Furthermore, the shouting of the people who were near the bar counter, ordering drinks to be consumed on the terrace, was so loud that my partner and I struggled to hear what we were saying to each other. The food was cooked well and very good. The price is quite expensive but in line with the venue and the service of the rooftop terrace. In general I would say that for a drink on the terrace it is perfect, but for dinner I would not return. Sin.

When I asked the staff for some bread because the salmon is basically inedible, the staff insisted carpaccio could not be eaten with bread—the hell, customers can eat anything offered at the restaurant🤡 The pork collar was also a meh. The outside was burnt yet surprisingly the flavor didn’t go inside. At least the view is not that bad, but while we were eating, the balcony was packed with people catering, so that part of the experience was also disturbed.

It tasted ok, but it was heavy on the pour, which was appreciated. Water is offered as well, but it was hot not room temperature, or even cold 😕. For my entree, “The Not So Secret, Secret Burger”, which came with fries. Both tasted 🔥🔥🔥🔥, fries were hot and fresh, the brioche bun pairs well with the burger. Dessert a seasonal sorbet, which tastes like blueberries and lemon was pretty good. My only suggestion is to add two to three more items on the entrees, and dessert menu.

Cindy's Rooftop is not just a restaurant; it's a destination that offers a unique perspective of Chicago. It's a place where memories are made, whether you're a local or just passing through. It's a reminder that sometimes, the best way to appreciate a city is from above, with good food, great company, and a view that's second to none. Cindy's Rooftop is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the best of Chicago's dining scene.

I have been twice and on neither occasion have I eaten at the restaurant, so I couldn't comment on the food, but what I do know is that they have a varied drinks menu, a spectacular view and a terrace where you will have a great time. Well, it's one of my favorite places to have a drink and see the city.

The views and atmosphere at Cindy’s were wonderful. The food was pretty good. Very high quality and made well however some of the flavors didn’t really go together. The charcuterie plate was incredible as well as the crispy mushroom side dish. The half roasted chicken with corn was also good but the piri piri sauce on the chicken made the skin a little soggy. The Campanelle was the weird one. The pancetta was not crispy and was kind of off putting. The corn was good but didn’t make sense in the dish and neither did the cashews. The criticism in the other reviews about service are spot on. The hosts are amazing 10/10 there but the waitstaff was not good at such a high end restaurant. They didnt explain anything on the charcuterie plate. They didn’t ask if we wanted more drinks after we clearly were done with our first ones. They didn’t check on us after we got our food. She was overall kind of flippant and acted like she didn’t want to be there. That is what kept it from being a five star review for me.

Drinks are excellent the food is underwhelming! But the view is incredible just really lovely. Great for a date night or just hanging with friends. This is my second coming here and it’s still a really gorgeous view. Highly recommend to go. Hopefully they will update dinner menu soon.

Had never been to Cindy’s before, but will definitely make reservations for my next visit. Visited on a Saturday morning & they were packed. My daughter & I were lucky to have a seat at the bar, and so glad we did. Amy makes THEE BEST espresso martinis of anyway I’ve ever had one. Her service was friendly & efficient. The food was delicious & looking forward to my next visit!

I’ve been here a few times and the vibe was different every time. Each one good but very different. The spectacular views and straightforward service, however, remain consistent. I recommend going at night with someone you’re the heart eyed emoji about. The sunset/night time view is my favorite.

Loved this place! Did not get food - but walked straight in and got a beverage at the bar, and went out to the patio. Breathtaking views and delicious cocktails!

Just stopped here for drinks after attending vegandale for the first time. The drinks and views at Cindys are always awesome. Definitely hidden in a line in a hotel lobby. Definitely check out the drinks and views, I also hear the food is amazing.
