Love their ribs, chicken and sausage! Their corn pudding is to die for!! Mac and cheese was out standing! Good selection of BBQ sauces, but I just like the hot.

UPDATE O7/25/24 ***** After leaving the below review City Barbeque emailed me a $15 gift card. I gave them a 2nd chance and ordered 2 sandwiches for $19 and paid the difference. IT WAS WORSE THAN THE FIRST TIME!!!!!! *****THIS LOCATION IS TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!****** I got a pulled pork sandwich and it was DRY with some portions of the meat being inedible. Also tried the Nashville hot sandwich and the sauce and pickle were good but the chicken, yep you guessed it OVERCOOKED AND DRY!!!!! Coleslaw was cabbage and nothing else in mayo. Screw me once, shame on you. Screw me twice, shame on me. ******NEVER AGAIN AT THIS LOCATION!!!!!! Got the 3 meat combo and cornbread. Paid $28.59 including the $3.15 upcharge for brisket as a choice. Brisket - very small portion and dry Pulled pork - very small portion and the fattiest I've ever had Sausage - salty, cheap, grocery bin style Man n' cheese - standard but decent Cornbread - overcooked and tasted of burnt oil on exterior BBQ Sauce - I got the original. It was so sickening sweet I would hate to see how sweet the sweet one is.

I normally come to get their greens. They are so good. But it’s been months since I’ve came due to me being on a completely different side of town. This last time I did a curbside pickup. The guy was nice. I got two polish sausages and a quart of greens. The greens had a lot of vinegar in them over powering the taste. I was so upset because I drove a long, long way to get them. And although my sausages look good from this picture they were actually crisp burnt on the other side of them. So much so you couldn’t bite into them. I guess they said if I put the burnt part in the bun she won’t notice. I was so disappointed.

My first time at this location and I couldn't be happier with the service! I've been under a lot of stress and I was going to run my debit card for the 13 cents I owed after paying with the cash I had. The young lady at the front gave me a discount instead. She may never know how needed her kindness was. But, I am certainly glad I stopped here.

Workers were not very pleasant unfortunately. Impaired when he talks so I couldn't understand him, then he got upset with me because I kept asking him to repeat himself. The server told me the waterspout, but it clearly was. I didn't even argue with her I just went without a drink. Food tastes great though!

Very average BBQ. Brisket and pulled pork was dry and low on flavor. Sausage was not great but not bad either. Leg and thigh was pretty good. City sampler gives a pretty good amount of food for price. Wings were Fantastic. Bbq sauce was a bit sweet for me but it saved the brisket and pulled pork. Brush fire sauce is good if you like spicy sauce.

The food is delicious! It's more of a fast food style, so as long as you expect that, the atmosphere and service are great!

Well,Memorial Day weekend on Saturday went in. Ribs were tough!! Boyfriend wouldn't even eat them. The wings were pretty good and so were the loaded fries..very disappointed for $60.

Very fatty, stringy pulled pork. And ribs were too dry. The outside seasoning on everything was quite bitter unless it was sauced. Good hush puppies. Pretty meh dinner.

Hit the spot!!!! Had brisket, pulled pork, potato salad, and mac n cheese. Work the cost!

Service is fantastic at this location. Staff always seem to be working well together and create a great environment to be in. The front counter is consistent about making sure customers are getting the most for their money and utilizing rewards from the app.

They didn't wrap my sandwhich and left ingredients out. So when I got home I had meat and Buns all over a deliver bag. I called and asked for a replacement and they said it " we are closing in 20mins so it isn't our fault. " I'm not paraphrasing with this. This location will not receive my money every again. City BBQ as a whole is still good though.

I love this place. If you're looking for fast bbq with pizazz, stop on in! There is great flavor and a variety of sauces to choose from. The sausage and whole chicken rock! I also dig the pulled pork. The pulled chicken has good flavor, but it's weird when served on the pick-3. It's just a clump of moist and finely shredded chicken with an odd texture. Just put a chicken breast on the plate already..🙄 For someone whom 99% of the time never gets weirded out, the shredded chicken clump is gross. 👌🏻 So where was I? The lemonade is BomB! 🔥 They also have an assortment of O.G, real-sugar, bottled sodas. Check them out. There is plenty of seating! The restrooms were clean, but their soap sucks. Alright ta-ta!

Same as any other location. Had a full slab of St. Louis style ribs, Mac and cheese, fries. If my Uber driver was only able to find the correct address of my hotel, my food may have been hot. Well, at least warm. But it wasn't. Not the restaurant's fault, I'm aware. I'll still keep going though......

Really???? 7:49 pm 11th st location in Indy & they are "sold out of slabs of ribs AND 1/2 slabs both!!! Unbelievable!!!! I really had a taste for them. Update: city BBQ apologized & sent me an E gift card. Isiah & Gaston were excellent & food was too! Thank you city BBQ. Im now a happy camper

I got the BRISKET (3 meats meal) double brisket and smoke sausage. Brisket was soooo dry not good at all. Drove all they way from eagle creek area.

Terrible service. We ordered through Uber Eats, when we received our order we were missing half of it. We called the restaurant and they refused to provide the rest of it because they were too close to closing. Thankfully our delivery driver helped us with getting some money back from Uber, and let us know City BBQ was telling their other customers they were out of several sides, but they didnt seem to think they should tell our delivery driver we would be missing ours or offer substitutes. Would not give them a second chance, they seem absolutely fine with shorting their customers food and offering no resolution. By the other reviews, this seems like a very common issue.

Lovely place to have family, kid friendly and big tables to accommodate big groups. Was here for a family reunion luncheon and had an amazing time, staff were kind and helpful.

Greeted cheerfully as I walked up to counter. The people working seemed genuinely into their work and having positive attitude! Easy to navigate drinks/condiment area, spacious dining. Pulled pork sandwich meat was tender and of generous portion, the ‘original’ sauce well balanced blend of sweet/tart/ spicy. The meat was a tad unnecessarily salty, but otherwise perfect. Definitely will return!

I judge a BBQ by the content of their brisket and this is why I would goto City BBQ—today that has changed. Searching for another place with good brisket. See a place that knows good brisket would tell a customer that what they have left is all dried up and ask the customer of another selection to save a bad review of a known issue with a product. The workers at this store have no leadership that is aware so why go there anymore?

Pretty good chain barbeque. The service was fast and the establishment was clean but it felt like the portions were a bit on the small side for the price point. Also, most of the seats in the booths were lacking support.

Great place to get some BBQ in Indy. Their desserts are a must try!

Nice service, well prepared food

The food is always excellent and delicious. Highly recommend to try it if you like BBQ. My only issue is lack of attention to detail. The last 3 times we ordered takeout our order was missing items. Most recently we were missing a bakers dozen of corn bread, caught that at the restaurant. However got all the way home to realize we were missing a dozen of sandwich buns. Maybe dining in is a better experience. Always check to make sure your order is correct since this location seems to have issues with accuracy.

The pulled pork over the salad was delicious! Will be checking out the restaurant in Columbus, also!

My favorite is the pulled chicken and smoked chicken wings. They have some really good flavor.😋

The manager at this location is so kind and helpful. Previously they had sent us home with the wrong order, we had ordered a turkey for thanksgiving, she gave us some gift cards to use for the hassle. Tonight we came in to use the gift cards and she covered the rest of our order. Just above and beyond service, polite employees. Will be back.

It just socks to order a family pack to feed ppl, cause you don't feel well...and then have to drive to Kroger for buns. I got my tiny refund, but it wasn't worth the inconvenience and money loss. Do better.

Solid BBQ chain food. A nice meal at a reasonable price but won't win any competition awards. The downside is service. Lot of people walking around doing nothing. Big mess of people waiting for food because no way to call out orders. Tables aren't getting cleaned. I got an incomplete order and had to hover over the counter to get my french fries. If you can't get enough people to run the place properly tell me when I walk in so I can decide if I want to deal with it.

Food was cold and the fries got so late that I took home and unfortunately ended in the trash... :(

We were just leaving maternity ward at Riley Children’s hospital and tried to order a nutritional meal for our grandchildren and our son offered to pick up the order at 6:15 pm - order # 22496606280155137 -Once we all arrived at home, we were disappointed to learn that the highly rated corn bread item of $23.99 was missing from our order bag. The chicken was deliciously tender and the green beans were enjoyed by the children. The brisket was dry and tough to chew. I wish I would have ordered more of the chicken. The BBQ sauce was amazing. We did not dine in as we carried out. Overall we ranked a 2 for our food experience. Thank you for allowing us to evaluate our experience. $135.41 total order for a family of 6. We ordered an adequate amount of food. Plenty to have left overs and feed others as they arrived home.

Horrible service my family visited Indianapolis for a drs appointment for my child. After spending 5 hrs at my child's appointment we just wanted to get food and relax. So we go inside we asked if we can just sit anywhere while we decided what to get. My husband goes to the counter to ask some questions several employees walked right by him and never acknowledged him. He uses a wheelchair but I know someone had to see him. I approach the counter to just get my husband and leave. I asked the lady at the counter why would anyone eat here that couldn't get any help I wasn't nasty just a simple question. She screams at me that I chose to seat myself ok never been here. So that's a reason to ignore someone. I came back inside after everyone got into the car and spoke with the manager as I'm explaining how unvalued I felt the lady starts screaming again manager got very upset with her and I left as he said he was handling it right now. Manager was very nice but the rest of the employees are just wow I don't know that I have words to describe it. Will never return ever!!!!!

The barbecue is always great! Just noticing from the last 2 trips, the bones have gotten smaller! I guess it's America's way the prices go up and the quantity goes down. Good ole capitalism the American way🙃

Every time I’m in Indianapolis I stop at City BBQ for some of their delicious peach cobbler. Stopped in last week before heading back to Maryland to bring two cobblers home and sadly when we tried to eat them that night there were no peaches in either container, all topping which was mostly burnt. No bueno. Definitely not Mission BBQ. They don’t offer ribs in a combo. You can get a 1,2, or 4 meat platter. No three meat…. That’s absurd. And you can’t upgrade to ribs. If you want ribs you always have to add them on at $3 a rib, or JUST get ribs…. Does the person that came up with the menu even eat BBQ?!? Cashier didn’t understand the menu or how to make the best order. Extremely upsold. Had to wipe my own table down to eat. Now the food… Pulled pork was cold, brisket dry, fries greasy, toast not toasted, and I don’t want to imagine how much sugar was in the baked beans. At $37 I could have had table service and a nice steak dinner. If you like it, great, but this ain’t it.

Stumbled across City BBQ while looking for lunch that wasn’t fast food. Staff was great & patient beings it was our first visit. Pretty cool place, the food was excellent. Place stayed busy with carry out, delivery & dine in customers. Will return when I’m back in Indy & check out more of the menu.
