Ate there a lot as a kid and young adult...I remember curb service and big trays of chipped bbq sandwiches....... place burned down...glad they contiued on ..my love of BBQ started with Clearview..Ive been a pitmaster for thirty years

Top notch local BBQ. They sell thousands of sandwiches a day because they are so cheap. However, the rest of their food is good too. Be prepared to spend about 10 minutes in line because they are always crowded.

Love their sandwiches, love their people, love their prices. Been closed for renovations since November promised to reopen in March of 24

I ordered 4 sandwiches and none of them were made correctly. When I called them back I had to repeat myself 3 times. She wanted me to come back but I was not able to leave my grandkids alone. She was getting my name and stuff for another day. The person in the background said I needed to bring them back but when I said I couldn't he told the lady to hang up on me.

I just keep coming back for more one of my favorite BBQ joints 🙂🙂👍👍yall should try it sometime 😋

Really nice people. Chopped BBQ was flavorful without sauce but was way better with the sauce. Hot sauce is hot. Coleslaw was delicious. Bring cash or check. They do not take any cards at all.

The junkyard dog was so fatty the chilli was in lumps.....it wasn't good this time.

Clearview has always had the best chip sandwiches if you ask me! Although the prices went up from $.99 apiece to 119 apiece I still don’t mind paying that. They are my go to barbecue joint absolutely love this place.

It had been years since I last ate here, so I knew about the fly problem. I wouldn't have minded it if the food still tasted the same as it did. I had a Junkyard Dog, and it tasted like the hot dog wieners were just Vienna sausages; the food itself was a little warm, and even with some salt and barbecue sauce, it didn't have much taste to it. I wouldn't rate the place too poorly due to both my past experience with Clearview, and the fact that the Junkyard Dog was the only thing I got this time. But for now, it may be a good while before I can come back

Great and friendly customer service.

Brunswick stew was good. Chicken was dry and plain. Ribs were lacking flavor and hard to take the bone. Mac and cheese tastes like it’s made out of a Kraft box. BBQ slaw was interesting and the traditional slaw was ok but nothing special. Overall the food was ok but this place is definitely not the type of place where you should go out of your way to find. I saw good things when I was reading about it on a Reddit post so my wife and I wanted to check it out. Also, when we saw the good and high volume of reviews on Google, we knew we had to check it out. If you were hungry and wanted grub, this isn’t a bad place to stop by but everything we got was like chow hall or cafeteria food. The place looks run down so we thought it was the aesthetic they were going for but after eating here, it seems like they just don’t really care. Flies were everywhere and my wife and I were fighting them off from landing on our food the entire time. If they were trying to go for an unsanitary atmosphere, then they definitely hit that nail on the head.

I always love Clearview BBQ. Definitely not the nicest restaurant inside. However, the food makes up for it. Bring cash or a check, they don't take credit cards. The prices are great but, the have increased like everything.

This is the ONLY barbecue place we eat at.

Always slow hardly nobody inside waiting and the service is always slow. When you have a 30 minute lunch break it takes you that long to get up and place your order. Time to start looking for a new place for barbecue for lunch. It seems to get worse and worse everytime I go in.

Best BBQ in Columbus. When I lived out of state, I would come just to take a bunch back home. Now that I have moved back, I'm in heaven getting it whenever I want again. They have the best BBQ sauces for sandwiches.

It's an old gas station from 50 years ago it may not look like it from the outside but everything here is delicious and the least costliest to eat nearly anywhere around. God bless Clearview!

Even when they are busy they get it done. Thank you for the 2 people that were working their butts off when I came in today, around 11:25am. Food here is good as well. Never disappoints.

Has always been my favorite since 2005

I forgot how much I love their bbq. My wife got us some sandwiches and a big order of chopped to bring to her parents. We had the sandwiches for lunch. It blows the bbq in Lagrange out of the water. We have been joking about being addicted to the chipped sandwiches all weekend. My wife who normally eats super slow eat both of hers on the way home. I am so glad to rediscover this lost gem.

Interesting place, took a while to get our order but big servings and it was good.

A small establishment but the staff have big hearts for their customers! Best slaw in town, I go by there to get it as a side dish for fried catfish....Oh and the sweet tea....if you like it sweet and delish, grab you a gallon!

13th street on veterans and Junior bbq on moon rd is the best! I tried this place twice and this last time today was awful. No seasoning and a lot of fat on my q tater. Very disappointing.

Clearview, has the best BBQ in Columbus, and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is always friendly and the employees are polite, and professional, the restaurant is small, but the workers keep it pretty clean. If you want to eat from Clearview, you might want to call your order in because they're pretty busy, the only thing that I could say that needs to be addressed is the parking lot needs work, and maybe in the near future maybe the owner would think about a larger place, people love the food, and they'll come as long as clearview's BBQ recipe stays the same and the quality of food and service stays the same, and if the prices stay affordable. they do give you your money worth, and that's what people are looking for.

Need more workers, took a long time for them to make our food it was 10 orders and I called 1 day ahead.They as me to be there at 11:15, Also need to upgrade the Restaurant and start accepting credit cards.

The price for food was absolutely amazing. The sides were all very good too. Unfortunately, the BBQ wasn't very flavorful and the ribs were dry according to my friend. I'd be willing to pay more for tasty-tender BBQ and facility upkeep.

Hands down they serve good BBQ with a great smile and a can do attitude. We enjoyed our sandwiches and half chicken very much but the atmosphere is not one that I would venture to visit again- it just had the appearance of being dirty-

Did not enjoy this food at all. I’ve never had bbq like this no flavor, chipped bbq was suppose to be famous. This must be for family members cause no. No real bbq flavor.… And the chili dogs are a solid NO.

You would miss this place if you weren’t searching for it, yet the bbq “chipped” sandwiches are something you wouldn’t want to miss out on! Super cheap for one or a huge group. I got a large chipped sandwich for around $3, and it was great! They give you the option of adding slaw and pickles in your sandwich too if you want. We also tried the stew and the potato salad, and both were delicious. The wait was about 15 minutes, which was not bad at all considering there were lots of people placing orders over the phone and in the restaurant. The staff were very nice and efficient. Just be sure to bring cash, as they don’t take cards. I only wish we had a Clearview BBQ where we live! Thanks for a great lunch.

I’ve been eating at this place for about 5 years now. I enjoy their big chipped sandwich which is at a good price. I also, enjoy their beans and Mac and cheese. Now the max n cheese is hard to catch lately. Someone is enjoying it. I went 2 hours after opening and it was already gone. One thing about this place they still only accept cash or checks. No cards!

I heard this was the best BBQ in Columbus, if this is the best, y'all have set the bar extremely low. Would not recommend, but it seems like locals favorite for the chip sandwich

The food is great!! We usually get chopped (NOT CHIPPED) by the pound, a half or full rack of ribs, and slaw. Very reasonable prices, cash or check only. We like the atmosphere it is small town, laid back, and the eating area is clean. We have been to this place many times and have never been disappointed. I am leaving this review because I saw some google reviews that had complaints. I firmly believe as of August 2022 this is the best quality and quantity of food for the price anywhere around!!! And, my husband agrees!

The worst food I've ever experienced. I'm shocked at how many will just eat anything ol thing. The sauce was disgusting, mac and cheese was kraft, potato salad was overcooked with no mayo or pickles. We literally threw everything away. We just knew with that line it would be good but boy were we wrong. This was worse than bad. If u r looking for a bbq place skip this one and go elsewhere. This must be folks who grew up eating it so have got an acquired taste for it since most folks from out of town like myself wouldn't touch this and surly wouldn't call the BBQ.

Great food friendly atmosphere!

They have the best authentic bbq prices anywhere. Less than $2 for a bbq sandwich is unheard of in Atlanta; try $6. The customer service was very good. The spot could use some serious renovations. The customer service gets 5 stars, the bbq gets 4 stars, the price for a sandwich gets 5 stars (even though I miss the .99 price) and the dining area gets 1 star. (Actually, half a star). I just get my food to go.

I was first introduce to Clearview BBQ in 2014. The food, delicious. The chip sandwiches were .99 cent and the service back then was hoppin. On May 21, 2022. The sandwich is now $1.49 and the service is " slow as molasses". Or slower!!!!!. It took thirty (30) minutes to receive a carry out order of two sandwiches and a Cole slaw. I left the restaurant twice and still my order wasn't ready. Clearview, Your food is delicious but stop being cheap and get another "Sandwich Press." You need two. No one should have to wait 30 minutes for a carry out.

It is good. Cheap sandwich. You can get other things. I forget but I think it is still just cash.

My boyfriend and I went to Clearview for lunch May 16th. We ordered a Q-tatter chiped , 4 sandwiches and side of bbq slaw. Had I to send the Q-tatter back because the meat was chopped instead of chipped. Then the Q- tatter didn't have cheese. The sandwiches were supposed to have no slaw. Took 15 minutes to get the food. I did notice their were no cars in the parking lot maybe this is the reason why.

The have the best $.99 samiches! Well they are 1.50 now. Down and dirty, get 10 or more for you and friends, mmm some good. Or grab a box of how many ever you want and take it back to the office!

The food is good, and the menu is alittle higher than the website showed, but not alot more, website just wasn't updated. The BBQ sandwiches are still cheaper than some places. Really friendly, family owed, place.

Absolutely my favorite BBQ in town. This place is a staple in town. Cash only. The sweat tea is amazing. The BBQ is better. You won't find a better BBQ sandwich for the price in town, they're not skimpy with the meat, slaw, pickle and sauce. Absolutely a must try if you've never been. Local favorite.

I love Clearview for their BBQ flavor and their reasonable prices. I am disappointed that they have increased the price of their famous .99 cent chipped sandwich by almost 40% in less than 2 years. Come on now! The prices of food has not gone up "40%." Just saying. This will unfortunately drive some business elsewhere so don't go getting greedy and messing up a good thing. This is still a cash and check only establishment. Make sure you have more than $1.50 for the chipped sandwich.

Great inexpensive meal for everyone!

Customer service is horrible. Lady that took my order was extremely rude. You’d think they would tell you over the phone that they do not accept cards only cash but nope. Thank god I read the reviews. I’ve had their BBQ before and it was good, but as I said, they should work on their customer service skills.

Pretty good BBQ spot in the area. They have some good prices for some great food. Worth to stop by and pick up a sandwich or two if you haven’t tried it.

Way ran down from what it was years ago.. but guess what.. foods still good.. not sure how it passes inspections... but idk food is good. Sweet tea is the best in town!!! I'll always use this place for get togethers and stuff prices are very reasonable but they only take cash... someone should probally put an atm in the lobby.

One of my favorite places to eat when I "go home" to Columbus, Ga. But today these super busy employees helped our family say thank you to the E.R. staff that took care of a family member. The folks at Clearview made up 40 sandwiches and 5 quarts of Brunswick Stew (YUM) in under an hour.
