Went in and they was out of food

I've been to Peppers in the past and it was pretty. Today was a different story. The Rib Platter I ordered had nothing but burnt pieces plus the cashier looked like he was ready to go home and it showed in his customer service. I will give them another shot. But please watch what you serve people

Chicken was dry. Limas were great. Coleslaw has a lot of pickles.

I've eaten here several times before, and I truly enjoyed the food. Yet, I am highly disappointed today. I came in for a rib platter. I stood in line 10-15 mins just to get to the order window, and find out that they are out of ribs hours before closing. I have to work, and this was very inconvenient. An announcement should've been made because ribs are what sells the most, and I know this isn't their first time running out.

Great food, good price. Nice atmosphere. Parking is a little tight but go behind the place and park there in the gravel lot. Wish people wouldn't park in the exit not allowing people to get out.

I have been going to Peppers for years. Their ribs are always really good! When I go I normally get the Pork platter with BBQ slaw and stew. The pork has a good smoked flavor. The sauces are a little on the thinner side but don’t lack in flavor. Their Red sauce is very tangy and delicious. Both sides are phenomenal. Better than Country’s BBQ and other popular local BBQ spots. Highly recommend Peppers!

Hot barbeque...very good I got the hot...love spicy food

The service is bad I tryed to order food and the had was rude and told me I would have to wait a hour to get my food. The guy in the back told her that they was making it when I was giving her my order and she told him not to make it that I can pick it up at 1 o'clock and that's it

Had the ribs they were very good, only four for large order 8.95, 3 ribs for 7.95, also had Brunswick stew, it was good although johnny Johnson, definitely makes better, the hot and med sauce was reversed in holders, our table tested this no big deal ha ha

I bought 14 sandwiches and 3 large stews for a little football watching party yesterday and everyone wanted to know where i got the bbq because it was so good. Ive been a customer a long time but just wanted to share. Personally their stew is my ALLTIME fave, i cant make it better myself. Thanks guys keep up the good work!

This joint used to be my favorite when my parents were alive and lived close by. Best ribs in town and chopped sandwiches were amazing! I haven't been in a while now that we live out of town and can't seem to find an excuse to ride by that way anymore. The last time we went I think it was Monday or Tuesday, at 11:30AM, they were oddly closed. Call ahead before you go...not sure what's going on there The business still has a home in my heart and always will.🥰

The food is delicious but the hours online are not correct. Very disappointed to go pick up food to find that they closed at 2pm not 2:30 as stated on Google and Facebook.

Been there several times, but only ate once - they can’t seem to decide on a regular time to close. Today (3/2/22) their website says they close at 2:30. I drop by at 2pm and they say they just closed. When I tell them their website says they close at 2:30, they “oh well” it. Called once in the past around 1:30 and was told they’re closed. The only time I’ve been able to get a meal from them the bbq was good - hince the one gold star. Also, the two guys normally behind the counter are two of the biggest “no-go-getters” I’ve seen. Completely no initiative. They act like they wish they were somewhere else - which may explain why they’re closing time is so sporadic and unpredictable.

Went to met up with a buddy of mine and ended up with an order of ribs and slaw, oh holy hogs, great food..

Solid meats and selection of sides. They do a good job here for lunch during the week!

Peppers was disappointing today. It seemed as the bbq had been sitting out awhile. Please don't take this as being critical to the point of not eating here. Peppers is on of my favorite bbq ok laces in Columbus.

The food is good. I gave 3 stars because when I ordered my food I also ordered a brownie. My food is done I grab it and go. I get to my destination and see that there is no brownie so I call them and I’m speaking with a man, I tell him my order number and stated I also ordered a brownie and I hear the woman (cashier) in the back saying no she did not order a brownie….when in fact I did. Don’t lie and say that a customer didn’t order something when in fact you just cannot admit that you weren’t listening when they did order that item. People need to own up to their mistakes instead of telling the customer they didn’t order something, that’s basically saying I’m lying when I absolutely was not. Just say “I apologize I must not have heard you”.

I've eaten BBQ from here before and it is good. I had the scrambled dog today with mustard, ketchup, onions, chili, and pickles. It was pretty good and very filling. The prices are reasonable and about the same as fast food for a much better meal.

Not a huge variety but that's not a problem. Great meat, great sauces, great sides. I was in town for two weeks and ended up here four times.

This has become one of the best BBQ joints in Columbus. I used to not enjoy the food here but over the past 2 or 3 years something has changed (maybe it was me that changed) but I have not found anything on their menu that i don't like. Their BBQ is fantastic their Ribs are amazing and their Stew is by far the best in Columbus. I don't know what you guys are doing but Keep it up!!!!

I have been eating at Peppers for about 20 years now. The best. Great folks. I LOVE the hot sauce (mustard base). No place else compares. Got bbq somewhere else one time Peppers was closed. As I stood there they hosed the meat down with water. I said never again.

Was home visiting for the Christmas holidays and I just had to have some Pepper's BBQ! Yum, Yum, Yum!!!!!!!!!!!!!😊

Stopped in mid afternoon and was happy I did. Chipped sandwich with hot sauce was awesome. Love the decor inside with old sales pamphlets on the walls. Will be back for sure.

The food was good, but the lady running the register needs a lesson in customer service. She was obnoxiously rude to the patron in front of me. I heard him order his food, and she messed up his order. When he was polite about not getting something (that he ordered), she got pretty indignant about it. I was having a business lunch, otherwise I would have walked out.

Looks like they have been around for a while...limited menu but all items are awesomely made.

Food was ok but was over rated from what everyone had told me. Clearview is much better in my opinion.

Great nostalgic hole in the wall of a BBQ restaurant. A locals favorite. Only open a few days a week and a few hours each day. Worth it.

We used Peppers to cater my mom's 60 th birthday. We had 30 people. Meat, sides, instructions on how to keep warm /reheat (picked up at 2 due to their hours, and didn't eat until 5) everyone was super helpful/friendly. The food (with 4 sides!) was delicious. We had about 5 plates worth of left overs, which was perfect & was eaten for lunch the next day. I cannot recomend this enough.

We love to come here on Saturday for lunch. Great food. Chipped barbecue sandwich special is a favorite of ours. However, I do have their ribs occasionally which are the best in Columbus. Service is great. Owners are very friendly!

Awesome BBQ, love the potato salad

This is a busy, casual restaurant featuring the most flavorful bbq I’ve had in years. No need for bbq sauce as the meat was well-seasoned and tender. There was a long, continuous line at lunch, but it was worth the short wait. I ordered the large ribs which came with bread and pickles for $7.99. The ribs were delicious as was the brownie ($.59)!

My favorite are the ribs and the brunswick stew. It is a great hole in the wall that is perfect for lunch and great for gameday BBQ. One of my all time favorite restaurants in the world. And I've been to a lot of places!

The ribs are the best in columbus, the staff isn't. There's one guy that rings up that won't even speak to u when u walk in or while taking your order, no smile either. Tall white guy, kind young. I would stop going just for that reason. I'd rather give my money to decent ribs but great customer service than this place.

I often go on Saturdays as it's my weekly "cheat day", but they never disappoint. The ribs are superb. They're smoked and never burnt. The chicken is also great and never dry, as some smoked chicken tends to be. The sides are delicious, and I recommend the baked beans, potato salad and lima beans. The sauces are catered to your tastes, or you can just savor the taste of the great smoked meat. Either way, you can't go wrong. If you want the chicken, go early as they tend to run out later in the day, but that's partially my fault. I name sure I'm early enough to get it. I'd say more but I need to get there now.

I'm a local, so I have tried them all in Columbus. Pepper's has the best pulled pork in town. Lean with a great smoke ring. The sides are great and the food is consistently good. The only reason I didn't rate it excellent, is because of the service. When the owners are there, everything seems to run fine; however, when they leave the store with a bunch of teenagers to run it, well.......

Good simple and fast BBQ. Baked beans are very good.
