The food ingredients are decent quality. My chicken in the Moses plate was nicely roasted. The salad was tasty but more of a garden salad than Greek salad-no olives or feta to be seen. The hummus is very garlicky. It overpowers other flavors. Husband said Gyro meat was ok. Spanikopita was dry and didn’t have much flavor but my tastebuds were so overpowered by the garlic in the hummus that every bite after that tasted bland! Falafel was very dry. The pita was spongy and factory-made which was a bummer. Their portions are generous but I’d rather have less food with more attention to flavors and quality.

you will always always always get the WORST service. They will literally roll their eyes at you and act so inconvenienced the moment you walk up the the counter. My entire plate was watery and flies were landing on my food. Please don’t give these people your money. There are a lot of great businesses that need support, let this one run itself to the ground already.

Great food at a reasonable price.

Employees are nice but the food was sub-par. We both ordered chicken gyros. The chicken was tasteless. I'm pretty sure it's boiled chicken with no seasoning. Also, it was very wet, so the plate had a pond of liquid on it once we started eating, which meant it was impossible to put the gyro down again without soaking the pita. Fortunately, there was some hot sauce on the table to add some flavor, but this meant it really didn't taste like a good Greek gyro.

I have been coming to Cleopatra's to get my Mediterranean fix for 15 years. The food never disappoints and I have tried almost everything on the menu. Large portions, good price, good service. Consistency between both locations too. I gave 5 star in all areas because it was exactly what I would expect for a small cafe in a a shared building.

Do yourself a favor... take a pass on this place. Really not good. People behind the counter act like they're inconvenienced. They're of just "phoning it in". All three of us were sorry we tried this over another place.

Last time I ate here I got the Cleopatra plate, as usual, and it wasn't even edible. Have eaten here many times before but lately it's just not the same.

This is a counter service establishment where you order at the counter and they bring your food out. The workers were very friendly! We had the king tut plate-falafel, hummus, baba ganoush, dolmas, pita (some pieces however were really chewy) and tabouli. (About $14) My friend had a burger and fries-not a great choice (overcooked and lukewarm), but this is a mediterranean restaurant, not a burger joint. The King Tut plate was good, portions appropriate for price. It’s a large space with lots of tables. Looked like they had a lot of beer and wine choices. We went for lunch and they were not busy on a weekday.

This place is always a 10/10 and mt favorite restaurant for Mediterranean food in Santa Fe. The service is always great and the food is reasonably priced for the great quality and flavor. I usually go for a gyro but the plates (pictured is the Nile Plate) are super tasty and worth your buck

We arrived at 7:20, closing time posted as 8:00, were told take-out only. I ordered the moussaka, which proved to be a few eggplant strips stewed with tomato (and maybe onion), no pasta, no cheese. The Greek salad was about 2 mouthfuls of lettuce and feta (enough to fill the little well in the take-out carton), not the portion I have had served on a plate in the past. We used to go regularly at that time (pre-covid); we won't be back.

We had a Blast trying out something new. We tried 4 items. The al Maryam was very good, the luxor lamb, the pharaohs plate.and 1 one more plate I forgot. I like the falafel, dolmas, the pita and hummus were very tasty. Great service, tried the cashew baklava for desert. Can't wait till we go back. Definitely recommend, plus all the other food shops next to each other are all good.

We order from Cloepetras at least once a month, they don’t do bulk so I order a bunch of sides for events, spending $100-150. Food is fine. Every time they leave a few things out of the order. Consistently enough that we always joke, who will be stiffed this time. Finally this order, we were missing meat and 12 oz of their version of tzatziki sauce. So I called to find if we could get our order, get it fixed, whatever. I was treated like trash and hung up on. I called back a few times to try and track down a manager and every time hung up on. So we are done with this place. So I’ve paid for something I did not receive, some might call this stealing. I recommend you take your money elsewhere, no one deserves to get treated like trash.

I'll preface this that i love gyros and always get extra meat and sauce, but the poor rating is purely only for the customer service I received when I visited while traveling through town for work. The food was quite good, and very generous with the toppings and well worth the extra charge, however i was pressed for time and the young lady at the register seemed more interested in what was going on with her phone on top of the drink counter when i tried to place my order, and gave a bit of a "look" when i let her know how long i had been waiting for my gyro that was on the prep area. I ordered the Cleopatra Plate, which the menu showed being served with chicken and lamb. Sliced gyro meat is not lamb, it is an over-seasoned concocted mix of beef and lamb and should never be advertised as lamb. The upside is that the plate did include chicken, so I got half of what I was expecting. Tomorrow I will check out the Indian restaurant.

The primary difference between Greek Gyro and Mideastern Gyro (also called shawarma) is the sauce. Greek Gyro use a cucumber tzatziki sauce and Mideastern Gyro use a sesame tahini sauce. Always on the search for good Greek food in the high desert, we decided to give this place a try. The menu features many Greek standards, with a few nods to Egypt and other Middle Eastern dishes. We both had gyros, one lamb, one chicken, served with taziki sauce, lettuce, and tomato on a pita bread. The lamb gyro did appear to have been roasted on the traditional vertical spit, and the chicken did not, but was still tasty. The pitas weren't as fresh as they could have been or perhaps they had not been warmed. Overall, decent gyros. We also tried their fries, which are of the wedge variety, and found them to be slightly undercooked for our taste. There was a good crowd for a Saturday afternoon, and many of the other plates had great visual appeal. Worth a visit.
