You can see them making everything from scratch in the kitchen. It is amazing food and completely legit. If you have never had Bosnian Food before you need to go!

This is an immaculately clean restaurant in a small, intimate setting, that will transport you back to the Old World with all the beautful decorations brought over from Bosnia. I was served by two lovely older women, who immediately made me feel at home. I ordered the cheese "pita," which is a burek, and which came out piping hot. The Turkish coffee was as good as any I've had back home. Tip: Although Turkish coffee is served with no cream (that's the correct way to drink it), I did ask for a bit of milk on the side. Everything, including the background music, was perfect. Highly recommended. Please note that it's cash only.

Great Turkish coffee, probably one of the most authentic one in Chicago and very affordable prices.

Your new favorite neighborhood lunch spot!! Why did the hipster burn his tongue? Because he ate his burek before it was cool! Named for the River Drina, this cozy lil spot offers wonderful homestyle meals and an unbeatable price. Lincoln Square doesnt have many places that will have you eating as well for the price as Cafe Drina. The folks that run place are very sweet and pull a nice espresso. Call ahead for carry out and treat yourself to a cockta!

Food was incredibly delicious; the cevapi and burek was just as good as when I was traveling in Bosnia and the vibe is super authentic. Highly, highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious, you can tell the the food is made with great care. We had the cheese pita, small portion of sausage, traditional yogurt drink, baklava and Turkish coffee. Every single thing we ate and drank was incredible and freshly prepared. I will be coming back.

The beef pie (Burek) is outstanding

Selfishly I want to keep this place a secret, but it’s too good to not tell people about. Owned and run by the nicest people, and being inside feels like what I imagine being in a local cafe in Bosna might feel like! The burek is consistently great - especially the krompiruša (potato filled). For the price, you get a huge portion, always freshly made and perfectly seasoned. I will keep coming back :) Anytime I bring this burek for someone, they always say it’s the best they’ve had in the states.

My husband and I love Café Drina for the byrek (meat and cheese pies). He is from Albania; he is a hard critic, and he still likes them!! They are a very generous size, and the seasoning is very good. It is a small, local family business, and the chef is very kind and hospitable.

Fabulous, hearty and affordable Bosnian food (spinach / cheese / potato phyllo pies, seasoned beef sausage & burger, Turkish coffee, homemade lepina bread & sweets) in a cozy and friendly atmosphere. Some of the best cheese pie (sirnica) I’ve ever had, made from scratch & fresh out of the oven. A friendly welcome & warm service. Highly recommend!

Stopped in with my Dad many years ago and enjoyed a great dinner and my first tastes of burek, cevapi, and Turkish coffee (and first time I heard a Hanka Paldum recording playing in the background - very nice). Nothing elaborate, just simple atmosphere, simple menu, and simply excellent food and friendly service. Very memorable and glad to see it's still doing well and getting great reviews. Include another one from me!

Drina is my favorite place to go to for Bosnian food. Whatever you get, it will be fresh and it’ll taste like heaven. It’s that delicious comfort food made by women who make you feel like they’re your aunt or your grandma. Very hospitable and consistent with quality and taste. I cannot recommend enough!

By Far the Best Spinach pie Burek that exists in Chicagoland!! It’s tastes & looks just as phenomenal if not better then picking one up back home in Montenegro or Bosna!! Highly recommend this place & the people that run it. Thank you! 👍

I’ve had many bureks in my life, but the one they serve here is by far the best. Idk how they manage to make it the way they do, where it is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, but it’s as authentic as it can get. Also, everything else I’ve had on their menu has been great as well. I’ve taken friends here and they’ve enjoyed it everytime.

Hands down one of the best Bosnian / Balkan Restaurants in America. I’m a truck driver and I have tried food in different restaurants in different cities, but Drina has to be the best by far. I have never had a bad experience with this place and whenever in Chicago I end up going. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone although I do wish there was a delivery option but heck I’ll risk the traffic to get some food. The cevape are AMAZING! The burek is out of this world good and the desserts are always a hit. 10/10

All of the food here is absolutely delicious. This is my favorite burek place. Everything is made from scratch. Even though I know how to make it from scratch too, this one is the best. The service is good and the prices are as well. They don’t sell frozen food. You get best bang for your buck.

The Burek and cevapi at this place is lovely. Especially the burek-I saw many other guests eating it as well. Delicious tender little sausages with bread, sour cream, and onion. Don’t sleep on it.

My favorite burek in the neighborhood (call ahead to order) and they make a mean cup of Turkish coffee. Really cozy place to hop off Lawrence for a minute and get a quick snack or drink.

Really great Bosnian food. The only downside is when I've been there it takes some time to be served, and for the food to come out. We ordered two items and it can take between 20-40 minutes, even when not crowded. So be prepared to be patient.

Small family run establishment fearturing a simple authentic Bosnian menu. Started with the Turkish coffee which was hot and strong. The meat pie had just come out of the oven and quickly made it's way into my stomach. Out the door including tip was $10 cash which I thought was very reasonable.
