Went with grandchildren, one of them is a very picky eater. The service couldn’t be better and everyone left happy after a great meal. This is definitely the go-to breakfast location in Spokane!

Stopped by here for breakfast on a road trip and it not only hit the spot but exceeded expectations. They were 40 minutes until closing and accepted us, served us quickly and efficiently, and the food was excellent and hot. If I was closer I would come here every weekend. Loved this place.

We loved this place! A super quaint, diner-style restaurant. Big portions, great coffee, and yummy homemade jam.

Quick service, good food, pleasant staff. It's worth the wait for a table. Don't forget to order toast to go with the strawberry jam if it's not included with your meal. Otherwise, you'll stare at everyone else in envy of theirs.

We were so pleased to meet the owner Brandon and he was also our servant and took care of us on a very busy day of the weekend. The food was delicious and you can’t leave without trying the strawberry jam "OMG" I order the all meat breakfast burrito and that thing was gigantic. My wife ordered the two egg special with smoked bacon and a stack of those delicious pancakes with lots of strawberry jam 🤣 We definitely make sure we return for a second time before returning back home and service was still good. Thank you Brandon for such an awesome service. Visiting from LA leaving with an happy stomach 🌯🍳🥞🍓

Only place I prefer for breakfast and best in town. Love the omelettes and there fries not steak cut way but potato rounds way. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Be nice if they could expand or make other one.

The food is consistently good! The servers are always the same people with the same level of service. It's a funny style nostalgic cottage feel but meets modern day people. They have good coffee and don't be afraid to order the bisquits n gravy you won't be disappointed its the best in spokane.

The food here is Outstanding and Delicious, and worth the wait to get a seat. The "Killer Mimosas" are legendary! Russ "Boots" was Spectacular as my waiter at the bar area. My experience here was enhanced by the assorted "Rock" music the cooks were listening to and the conversation I had with an attractive woman named Amy that sat next to me. Highly recommend and I will definitely come back again.

Came here the day after mother's day, and it was busy, but they were very efficient and turning tables quickly. We were seated after 15 minutes, got a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and had a very hard time picking breakfast. Everything looked amazing and we finally decided on potatoes, omelet and waffle. The toppings in the omelet were generous, the homemade whip cream for the waffle was incredible. This might be my new favorite breakfast place. The staff is friendly and they know how to do service well.

Solid food! The Cottage is VERY small so be prepared to wait... Wife had traditional eggs Benedict and I had the chicken fried steak. AMAZING!!!

I love that I can continue to come back to the Cottage Café and have a relatively consistent experience! When I want their Eggs Benedict and cottage fries with a side of hollandaise for dipping… I know exactly what I’m getting! And I love it! Or when I want an omelette, sans toast, plus half waffle (so I have a vehicle for the epic, strawberry preserves!) I rejoice at the familiarity before me! It’s worth the wait! Grab a cup of coffee and a seat, they’ll call you shortly.

This is by far my favorite place for breakfast, food is always good and super fast. Their prices are good and the server's are on top of evreything.

We got there around 9:30am on a Wednesday and were seated right away. We ordered two kids waffles and a chicken fried steak. We got our food quickly! The kids waffles were half a Belgium waffle with delicious fruit and whip cream on top. Their gravy is amazing and we also love the cottage fries!

The absolute best breakfast place in Spokane…..by far. Yes, you have to wait. Please bring your patience because it is WORTH WAITING FOR!!! They are fairly priced and have large portions. I can’t say enough about how great this place is, and no I don’t own stock there 🤗🤣

I had the German sausage and eggs and my husband had the signature scramble. The gravy that came with his was amazing! I was a little disappointed because the “German sausage” was just a hot dog. Not enjoyable to eat a hot dog at 8am. Other than that everything was great. Good service and food was good.

There is always a line out the door for a reason. Service is always fast, so it can be worth the wait. I'm not a huge fan of the strawberry jam. Wish they had some other options for that. Their bacon is to die for! Usually, everything else is phenomenal. I have been there 3 times, but the last time I was there, their home fries were under seasoned. That is literally the only disappointment I have ever had with this place. Reasonably priced as well for the amount of food you get. I always get at least 2, sometimes 3 meals out of the leftovers. Best diner by far in Spokane.

The food was good and the restaurant seemed fairly popular. In spite of how busy they were, service was friendly and the meal was ready without undue waiting.

I went here for the first time this week for my birthday, they absolutely did not disappoint. I tried the Country Benedict and it was extremely delicious. The biscuit was hearty, the gravy was flavorful and the sausage patty had just the right texture. The portion was immense. They advertise “killer mimosas” and they are not kidding. LIGHTWEIGHTS - learn from my folly! They really mean it when they say “generous pour”! When I ordered the 32 oz, I genuinely thought it was going to be 95% OJ like the other brunch restaurants. I could not have been more wrong. My delicious mimosa laid me out. I had to take a nap afterwards. Best food coma of my life. 10/10.

This has been a long time go to place in Spokane valley for a great breakfast. You can count on there being a wait to get in, but it's well worth it. Never disappointed always excellent service.

You can tell who the regulars are, the staff makes time to catch up with them while keeping very busy. Not a lot of seating but there were two seats together at the counter. The food was really good, and the amount for the price, even better. Definitely recommend going during the week if you can, even at 0900 on a Friday morning there was a wait.

My family and friends have been coming to this place for about 6 or 7 years and , I recommend it every time anyone asks me about a great breakfast and/or lunch place. Popular place so a wait is standard. Solid breakfast selection, tasty, pleasant staff.

Small, not much wiggle room or for big groups. Always packed for good reason. The food is so delicious. The German sausage used in my omlete was so flavorful, along with the mushrooms. I've never had an omlete I loved as much. Their biscuits are amazing, too. The fried potatoes I could eat every day. The French toast was full of flavor as well. My husband got that as a side. Everything had a depth of flavor, not many places offer, in my opinion. One of the waitresses' breasts were darn near on full display, wish we could've done without that. I get sick of other people's body parts in my face. Other than that, the music is fairly loud, old 90s early 2000s they are really bumpin. If you don't mind. We will revisit this place for sure. So good!!

I came in on my own 2-29-24 to have a late breakfast. I gave my table to another couple because I felt it wasn't right to sit a large table by myself when larger parties were waiting to be seated. I told the staff I would be happy to wait for a counter spot because I was a single. After having my breakfast I was surprised that the Management payed for my entire meal and coffee for doing such a simple gesture. The food and staff is very good and I love coming in when I work in the valley. Thanks again for the meal and your kindness.

Great food, great atmosphere, serevicecwas good but they are always busy during peak times. We got our food like 5-7 min after ordering. Service was great till we had our food but then slowed down. Understandable with the consisitent amount of people waiting and them prioritizing getting orders in. Decent to slightly high oricing for value but well worth the quality!!!

Biscuits and gravy were amazing and the cinnamon roll was good and bigger than my face.

Our server was excellent. He was timely, every order was correct, placed in front of the right person, and we each got the right check. The food was tasty. People on a diet may wish to look elsewhere, though.

Fun place for breakfast and brunch! The serving sizes are big but I have had better pancakes before. It was a bid soggy. Even the fruit cup I got was filed with bunch of blueberries and then very few melons in the bottom. As if they didn’t have enough so they filled up the rest with blueberries. 😉 There was a mid age lady who is hard in hearing and can come across as being rude but if you ask me, she was just tired cause the place was packed. When her shift was over we had a gentleman serving us who was very polite! Also, this place has gotten a lot of amazing reviews which shows their other dishes might be much better. And it is a bit of personal preference and your standards.

So delicious !!!!! All the people that work there r so great. They all work together!! Cooks r so fast every plate is perfect! Wish there was one out by Liberty Lake!! They need 2 of them they r so busy!!

I got the biscuits and gravy. It's not your normal white gravy just so you know. I didn't prefer it BUT the biscuits were so HUGE you will Def be taking a box home. I got the breve too I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend yall try that. I haven't eaten anything else there yet but I'll be sure to be back next year. I'm not a local.

The food was good but not as advertised. I ordered a smash burger and was brought a regular cheeseburger. No smash, no onions in it all all. I then had to request the sauce that came on it because they brought me a burger with no sauce. It was however still a good burger. The kitchen has music was to loud playing you could hear in the entire lobby. I am a hip-hop fan but my daughter didn’t need to hear the F-word blaring out of the speakers while they were playing Wu-tang obnoxiously loud for the entire packed lobby to hear. My family and I loved this place however we will not be returning.

I've heard a lot of people speak about this place, and it did not disappoint. The first thing is that this place is busy, so be prepared to wait anywhere between 10 minutes to 30 minutes to get seated. But once you're seated, the service and menu are both really good. There are plenty of choices to choose from for breakfast, but the homemade strawberry 🍓 jam makes everything it touches really good. Belgian walks are fluffy and huge, eggs, hash browns, and breakfast meats are all done to perfection. I really liked this place and hopefully will be back soon.

This restaurant has the best home cooked meal that you could find. They serve generous portions of flavor blasts. Highly recommended you to stop and enjoy the company of the Cottage Cafe staff! They sell shirts and sweaters as well!

This is a great little hidden place. Always super busy when I go by. So be prepared to sit a spell, unless you can squeeze in at the counter 😁. I believe they only stay open till about 2. Didn't disappoint me and the prices are reasonable. Must try. I've had the eggs Benedict. Regular breakfast and the waffle. Excellent and the cooks are fast and consistent.

This has always been my favorite breakfast place. I come here often and spend a decent amount of money each time. The servers have always been absolutely amazing. I am giving a 2 star review because I stopped by today 11/22 to buy a jar of their strawberry jam for thanksgiving. They said they were out. I asked if I could buy smaller sides of it. She told me no because they don't have anything to put it in. I asked about the small containers you get with to go's. She said she would ask but was hesitant and acted like it was an inconvience. Asked a guy who apparently told her no. I feel like since they were out of jars and I was willing to pay anything they wanted for some small sides of it this was pretty ridiculous. They weren't very helpful or friendly. So much for the giving season I guess. Very disappointed with this experience and will be hesitant to return. At least when these current people are on staff.

This is my new favorite place!! The food was so good I wanted to cry 😭 It reminded me of mom’s cooking growing up. The toast was thick and delicious, not something I’d expect out of a cafe. Add the homemade strawberry jam and you have a winner. The portion sizes are large and very affordable. I can’t rave enough, as a pregnant woman, a good plate of food goes a long way. Cottage Cafe had me doing the happy food dance 😊

This place was so busy, but once we had our first bite of our meal we knew why. The food was so good! I think the chicken fried steak was the best I had ever had. The gravy is so flavorful and the chicken fried steak was the perfect combination of crispy and juicy. The strawberry jam on the table turned toast in to dessert. Breakfast was so worth the wait & we will be back.

Love this breakfast spot. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in Spokane. The food is always consistent and I’ve never had a bad meal. The pancakes are so fluffy, hash browns and bacon are thick and crispy and the mimosas are served in a pint glass or 32oz pitcher! The prices are great for what you get. We always leave with leftovers. Staff is always great and some of them have been here for over 10 years. Don’t let the wait scare you, be patient and taste the delicious good food!

Super cute café. Always packed so be sure the get here early. Rush hour is between 830-930. Lots of excellent food for your buck. The home made strawberry jam is impeccable!

Went by myself while I waited for my daughter’s softball clinic to end. Great service. Yummy mimosas and quick service. I’ll definitely bring my family back with me.
