The hotel was great. Great location. Rooms were big and clean. Everything was good. The issue I had was the hotel let people smoke on the step to the hotel. This wasn’t tobacco smoke either. Trying to get in and out of the hotel through smoke whether it tobacco or not is not fun. Especially when you have kids. Other than that it was great stay. Also the resort fee was ok. We loved using the bikes. Just wish you could use your credit outside the restaurant. We don’t drink so thought the snack area would have been great to use the credit. Just hope the hotel keeps the front door area and steps smoke free.

I am a platinum member, and I have not received a single benefit for the first time in my life. No upgrade, no free breakfast, not even water in the room. Except the location of the hotel other services are awful, I was late 10 min to breakfast and they said kitchen closed. Nobody cares customer satisfaction. However the daily rate approx 300 usd! which is clearly overrated.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The overall experience was positive: friendly Service, clean Rooms, the rooftop pool is great (even if a bit too warm). Some negatives are, unfortunately: You are charged an extra 29.- US$ per night as a form of mandatory consumption credit. If you don't spend that money at the hotel e.g. for breakfast or drinks) then you loose it. I never signed up for that. Also the pool almost never had towels available, they seem to run out permanently. Please change these two things.

I checked in on Thursday July 11,2024 with two reservations. My original reservation was for two nights and the second reservation was for one night checking out Sunday July 14, 2024. Upon checking in with GSR Mayda Palancar, I informed her of my two separate reservations. She stated okay and that I could remain in the same room. On Saturday July 13, 2024 my room key did not work upon returning to the hotel. I approached the front desk and Mayda provided me with a new key. Later in the evening upon returning from dinner my room key did not work again. My sister, whose name was on the reservation went to the front desk to retrieve new keys, while I waited outside of our room. My sister returned with an employee who allowed us access to our room. Mayda called my cellphone, not the room phone, and stated she needed a method of payment for the room. I informed her she could use the same credit card that was on file for the original reservation. She stated " you need to come down to the desk", I replied okay I will be down shortly. The next interaction was a loud bang at door where Mayda and two Miami police officers were at the door. I was escorted downstairs in the company of two police officers. Absolutely embarrassing!! I asked the police officers " why are you all here". There reply was " she called us". My only conclusion is I was racially profiled for being an African American. I would not recommend staying here if you are African American, because you may be escorted by Miami police officers in a lobby full of people for a method of payment that was already on file!

Great no-frills hotel in the heart of south beach. I was worried it would be loud due to its location, but was pleasantly surprised. In case you experience some noise, the hotel provides complimentary earplugs. Hotel charges a resort fee, but provides food and beverage credit for the onsite bistro, and free bike rental, beach chairs, and more.

I stayed here for 1 night and I was unable to sleep properly due to a droning noise coming from the pool pump apparently. We called reception about 10:30pm about the noise but were only notified about the pool pump around 12:30am and told that it would continue throughout the night. Please consider not offering this room or turning the pump off at a reasonable time

Decent hotel, but at 10pm, it effectively becomes an extension of Club Madonna, an obnoxiously loud strip club across the street. Road noise is also disruptive at night. Don’t stay here if you want any rest at night. Someone at the front desk told me the club is closed during the week as I asked to move rooms or check out early, but as I post this review, it’s a Wednesday night and the thump thump thump is so extreme, it feels like I’m actually in the club. Staff is inflexible to locate other accommodations or offer a refund. Stay clear of this hotel.

There was a blind man outside the hotel that was lost and confused he needed help there was a young lady trying to help him and the lady at the front desk at the courtyard Marriott here on Washington was like oh yes please help him it’s OK help him shift change came another lady came out who is black and the blind man is black she kicked him out and threatened him and said she was gonna call the police while she called the police and the police just rode by two times they didn’t even bother going in this lady was so rude to this blind man it only took a couple of minutes for her to help him and instead she kicked him out confused this is very bad for businessAnd very unprofessional

An average hotel at an exceptional location. They don’t offer breakfast buffet, the rooms are smaller than average courtyards in other cities. You can get free 🚲 from property to ride in and around the area, access to beach, near by restaurants and shopping places. Not much benefits of being Bonvoy members doesn’t matter even if you are ambassador. So decide carefully.

Not as great as my first time. Was able to check in a bit early but def didn’t get a king room, got a queen. Came to use my food credit, buddy legit told the guy to close the kitchen WHILE I was waiting to order. Then told two other customers they couldn’t order food even though it wasn’t 10. Mans said he had orders before them and he probably wouldn’t finish them until later. I waited almost 15 min for the bartender to acknowledge me for my drink order. Bartender proceeded to take food orders over the phone AFTER saying kitchen was closed. I guess he didn’t think I spoke Spanish and didn’t understand him. Took him ANOTHER 10 min for him to make my drinks.

Mixed feelings about this hotel. Great location. Just steps from Ocean Drive and the beach. So many things around the hotel. It’s really in the middle of everything. Most of the staff was great. There was a Caucasian, bold gentleman who seemed miserable and was very hard to deal with. But aside from him, everyone else was super helpful and friendly. I was let down, cuz the elevators kept breaking. Sometimes you ended up having to take the stairs so keep that in mind. They also hit you with a destination fee, so again, keep that in mind. They made us change rooms twice during the week we were there due to little deficiencies in the amenities. In one case, the ac broke and was running at full blast nonstop. The staff did help us, but it seemed like they had no sense of urgency. They do have a really nice pool with a decent view. Mind, there’s a strip club next door, and another one across the street. So it gets noisy and there might be certain crowds hanging outside the hotel entrance. Keep that in mind if you plan to bring kids here. I also notice that sometimes homeless people enter the lobby and linger around. I guess you get what you paid for. It is cheaper than most hotels around. I guess it’s ok if you got thick skin. For us it was ok since we spent most of the day out exploring. But for future reference, we will check out other options before coming back here. The breakfast and dinner here are definitely not worth it. I personally recommend eating somewhere else. They don’t offer many options and it’s amazing how many times they get the items wrong.

My daughter came here on business. I wasn't super impressed with the room. There was a twenty five dollar bar credit / food credit That can be used every day. So that was kind of nice. But there's absolutely no parking so forget that if you bring in a car. There's a lot of stuff within walking distance, so that is nice. But the elevators stopped working and me. And my 2 special needs kids add to climb down the stairs. One of them has Cerebral palsy So it made it very hard. Two walkback down when it was time to leave. They had to elevators. One was already broken when we got there and the other 1 broke whoa, we were there visiting. So what's not very friendly if you are a handicap person.

Hands-down, one of the best hospitality stays I have ever had at any hotel. The hotel provided two bikes, and two beach chairs, along with food, and a welcome drink special that included two free drinks rooftop pool, and a beautiful room with a beautiful view. The staff was nothing short than amazing. It was well worth the money. Can’t wait to go back.

Gostei muito limpavam o quarto muito tarde 18h da tarde um dia cheguei estavam a limpar outro dia cheguei às 18h ainda não estava limpo ficou por limpar também só mudaram os lençóis ao fim de 4dias depois de reclamar e o gel shampo e amaciador teve sempre vazio até ir reclamar limpeza deixou muito a desejar no quarto ao que a gente paga e de taxas um exagero o atendimento tem de ser melhor sem dúvida já ficou noutros e davam dez a zero neste o gerente mexicano nada simpático no último dia o meu plafum de 29dolares para o pequeno almoço tava pavo e o senhor disse que não porque eu saia nesse dia quando a gente fez contas no dia antes á noite deixamos tudo pago inclusive o 29 dólares para o pequeno almoço volto em Março a Miami mas nunca mais a este hotel e não recomendo a ninguém 🤫🤫 martins3716

Nice selection of quick breakfast items in the lobby, and Starbucks coffee available. The housekeeper took great care of our room. Guillermo, one of the receptionist is very professional & friendly. 2 issues during my stay on Friday and Saturday : very loud music coming for the night club next door. It starts at 7pm and goes on til 5am ish. I just don’t understand that is acceptable to have a hotel & a night club next to each other. Also, random people wandering in the hotel hallway/corridors in the middle of the night. The security system should be reinforced by starting to install something in the lift where you swipe your room key. Because any people can have access to the rooms. I was there on a business trip and my colleague had someone trying to enter his room in the middle of night. Apparently this person was trying to have access to several rooms.

As usual, courtyard by Marriot never fails to keep up to my expectations. The hotel is conveniently located to nearby activities on Miami beach - south beach. Front desk allowed early checking, offered extra towels, provided free food/beverage credit and amenities credit, allowed high rooms, and the valet was always responsive and quick. The hotel itself is quiet and the room has everything you would need for a good vacation.

I can’t imagine how anybody could sleep here. The strip club across the street played LOUD music all hours of the night that I could literally feel through white noise and heavy duty ear plugs. It must be that some rooms are better than others and we just got unlucky, but it was very bad. You also get a credit for breakfast, but nobody told us that. I found that through a Google review. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Excellent hotel with excellent location located in the middle of everything South Beach, extremely clean & comfortable. After having to leave our first hotel due to deceiving pictures online we decided to go with what we knew. That’s how arrived at the Courtyard. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff, he was very helpful and professional. We were near a corner store, shops, restaurants and bars are all within walking distance. Would definetely recommend this hotel to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again for a great stay!!! FYI room didn’t get 5 stars because walls were a little thin. 🤷🏽‍♀️

They add extra charges on top of what you have already paid and it’s called destination charge well we pay high price for the rooms because of its DESTINATION why would you pay extra for that. It’s BS. They only have valet parking. Be ready to pay another ~$80/day on top of what you have already paid.

It was fine. I was worried at first because of all the reviews I was reading about it being loud, but it really wasn't at all. When I first checked in, I realized that the walls were pretty thin because I could hear the person who was staying next door to me on the phone. However, that person eventually checked out so for the most part it was pretty quiet for the duration of my stay. The only time it got kind of loud was on my last night there, and it was the weekend so I wasn't too surprised. Also, it's South Beach so there is also that. I liked that the hotel had secure doors after 10 p.m. and overnight. Also, housekeeping was very thorough in keeping the room clean. The room itself was kind of small, but it was only for me so it was fine. The only thing that really bugged me was that the staff member that checked me in never gave me my hotel vouchers equivalent to the $29 destination fee. Though I didn't really need them, I did grab food one morning from the cafe'. That was when I first learned about them. I could have saved $13 on hotel food if the person had given them to me in the first place like they should have. That kind of annoyed, but at the end of the day it was that big of a deal.

Lifetime gold member with Marriott, life time diamon with Hilton. I can say I've travelled and been in a lot of properties in the world. I got stuck in Miami due to flight cancellations. Figured I'd grab a spot in south beach so I could at least have a nice lunch and walk around before my flight. I made a grave mistake at this hotel, so bad even I've marked Marriott properties off the list in Miami completely. If this is what they allow to be branded, I can only imagine the sub par standards the 500+ a night properties will get by with. My stay, I was given my room and when I entered only one light would work, all the others weren't functioning. Enter the bathroom, water running from the ceiling. Call to get a new room, I get the neighboring room. Get into the new room, terrible bleach smell, bed has a brown tinge to the sheets, tv doesn't work. Screens poking through the floor where someone clearly needed to mount/hang/perforate the floor below. And the noise, this hotel has to be the noisiest hotel I've ever been in. Every door, person, elevator is heard. Not a property I would ever come back to visit. It's in such disrepair I've made sure to do an insect inspection as these are all the red flags to find bed bugs.

Have stayed at Marriott’s around the world, this one fell short of expectations. To arrive at your room and find wet towel on the floor was nearly enough to get me to leave, however it was Memorial Day weekend and there were no other options. We had towels removed the next day and not replaced. We were not told that we had a daily credit to use at the coffee/bar, the nice young man at the coffee station told me that the following day so we left $29 on the table unused! Location is very good, close to everything, rooftop pool is good, especially to people watch from up high. This could be a gem, with some attention to detail.

Stayed here for while in town for a conference. Great spot that right in the middle of everything. Staff is super nice and helpful. I ate breakfast downstairs in the bistro every am (Cuban breakfast panini). This hotel has valet which is helpful as well. The only downside is I could here people while I was working in my room several doors down on conference calls, so the walls are very thin. The rooms were very clean as well. There are several restaurants within walking distance which helps too. Definitely recommend this hotel.

0 stars. We checked into this hotel and asked to extend a night. We were quoted $189 and the front desk person Manuel said we were all set. Our key cards worked on the 2nd day and we're not expired. Day 2 comes and Courtyard said they can't find the reservation and quoted $500 for the 2nd night. Further, we were told from the front desk that valet would be $40 total a night, however got a receipt for $75. The customer service was so bad the manager Nelson said he would talk to me and never did. Do not come to this hotel, they will screw you over.

If you want to be in the middle of it all . This is the hotel . They give welcome drinks and an allowance for food,drinks etc . Service is great . Rooms are nice . The only complaint I have is the water in the shower tends to be weak pressure and then if you don't take a fast shower the water literally ends and you have to wait til it ramps up again . Truly annoying.

Overall not a bad stay. The rooms themselves are big, but the bathrooms are a bit small. They were clean and the housekeepers were very good throughout the stay. The front desk employees were responsive and helpful, explaining everything from the mobile key to the amenity fee. The rooftop pool was nice, however there were no towels and it appeared as if no one had picked up trash in a while. Once the front desk was made aware, it was promptly addressed. The location and price were good and I would book this location again when in south beach.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. Guillermo the manager does not know how to take care of customers. Our stay was interrupted by a lot of fighting and yelling on our floor. After a few calls to the front desk, the cops were called and nothing was really done about it. People were knocking on our room door all night, and when we told the manager and Nelson from the front desk, they were very dismissive. They did not offer much to make up for this and claimed this type of stuff never happens but their hotel reviews are flooded with noise complaints. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place. Other issues: -loud -bad service -broken elevator -house keeping skips rooms

Hello Marriott team, My name is Alain Frometa, I am a Marriott Gold member - who travels often for both business and pleasure - and in my travels I always look forward to lodging at a Marriott property. I am loyal to the brand and consistently seek out properties in whatever country/state I find myself in. I have come to expect a welcoming staff and a well maintained hotel however, this was not at all my experience during my February 14-19, 2023 stay at the Marriott Courtyard South Beach Miami hotel. Poor planification On the third night of my stay, with less than 24 hours notice, I was told that the following day there would be a full working day of fire alarm testing. From 10am-5pm EST. This would include testing the blaring evacuation siren that goes off floor-wide. Since this was a remote working trip, you can imagine how disruptive this was. Even more so given your staff was unable to narrow down the 5th floor testing timeslot (the floor I was on) to a workable two-hour window. This in short meant that during my stay as a paying guest, I would have to work around your maintenance department’s impromptu work schedule? Imagine my greater surprise the next morning, as I am about to start my first call at 9am EST, when someone knocks on my door to ask me to enter my room to check the smoke detector. Showed a complete disregard to any guest services norm. Lack of maintenance Upon our arrival, we noted that although there were two elevator banks in the 7-story hotel, only one elevator was working. This made for a lengthy wait period every time I needed to leave my room - it was workable though not convenient. However, on Friday 2/17, as my partner and I were returning wet from the beach around 4pm EST, I arrived to find that the elevator was completely out of order. We ended up missing our dinner reservations and still, the elevator never revived until late that evening. Showed complete disregard to non-able bodied individuals who depend on building facilities to accommodate mobility issues. Unaccommodating / unhelpful staff Understandably, following the two above major complaints, I asked to speak to a manager and was told they were busy trying to find a solution to the elevator woes. I was assured I’d receive a call-back later that evening - this never happened. The following morning, as a guest, I followed up with the front desk and after a 20 minute wait, Stefany Amador, the manager on shift, came to the front desk and after a 10 minute chat we landed on she only being authorized to offer me 10,000 points for the ‘inconveniences’ and some sage advice to opt for a lower hotel floor preference in the future, in case of any more maintenance problems occurred at Marriott properties. Showed a complete lack of leadership but also lack of training from the Marriot management on how to approach difficult conversations with guests. Overall, it really goes without saying - I am deeply disappointed in my Miami Beach experience and look forward to the Marriot team not only correcting these issues for future guests but also contacting me with compensation options for a ‘remote working trip’ ruined. Elevators broken, had no hot water one night, poor breakfast, dinner and bar tender(couldn’t even make An old fashion) I could deal with all of that but, there was EXTREMELY loud music next door was the breaking point, I asked nicely to have my room moved twice as I was in town to work, not party and was denied(literally sat at the front desk and heard them tell a customer it wasn’t a big deal if they couldn’t make there reservations) so there was obviously rooms available..I would not recommend, especially at this price point! I will give the cleaning staff a “ that a boy” the room was clean when I arrived and when I arrived back each day.
