I was so excited to spend the evening at a nice rooftop place for dinning and was extremely disappointed. I through away money literally. The drinks were $18 for a four once glass full of ice I tasted no alcohol. I am not one to send it back for a new one. The drinks had old fruit in them? I ordered a salad and requested no meat yet they put sardines on my salad? Again why? Then when the bill comes they automatically include 20% gratuity. It was my last night in miam and ai regretted going to Serena for dinner. I was so upset I didn't dear try my luck at the Moxy on the 1st floor. Serena yall need to serve better drinks a $18 magarita should come in a magarita glass. Patrons should taste the alcohol if that's what they purchase. If you don't want to give them alcohol them only serve juice and water.

Only leaving a 5 star review because FABIO the bar back is PHENOMENAL! The bartender acknowledged us as we sat down. However, he didn’t come back to get our order for 10-15 & the bar wasn’t even that full. As a cocktail waitress, you don’t leave a guest unattended for that long. Fabio made us some delicious drinks and when the bartender finally came back to ask if we were ok, I let him know we were taken care of by Fabio. The bartender mentioned that Fabio was not a bartender as a form of dismisal which I find quite rude, as he is HELPING him with HIS JOB. Fabio was kind and has a welcoming vibe; Fabio needs a promotion.

Fantastic ambiance and cuisine. Maria and Hansel was an excellent host.

Skimpy portions, WAY overpriced, bland drinks, and the WORST service. Worst birria tacos I’ve ever had (came with 2 tiny tacos for $23). Bathrooms looked like a crime scene. Waitress was nowhere to be found for most of our meal, then completely screwed up our checks. Wouldn’t have left much of a tip, but I had a 20% gratuity fee automatically added, AND a 3% credit fee. The waitress was gone with our credit cards for an unreasonable amount of time. Someone from our party eventually had to get up from the table and go looking for her. Ambiance is nice but the prices and quality of food is NOT worth it!

The food was horrible, super expensive for what they serve. The seats were wet, the quality of food seems to be the leftovers. Don't follow tik toks reviews. The food is very bad, it was stale, cold, hard, don't follow the tik tok recommendations, plus the seats were wet. It's not worth what you pay But it's nice

I went for my birthday and was so exited, my reservation was at 11pm which it said they were still serving dinner when I got the reservation and the restaurant closed at 2am, so after food I wanted to get drinks and stay till later, as soon as I got there at the door they told me kitchen was closing in 10 minutes so we had to order the food in a rush, at first I was like okay fine no problem essentially I wanted to eat and after just drinking, the appetizers came we had no utensils so I had to ask her and the drink we order we haven’t had yet which drinks usually come before appetizers, also 10 minutes in with appetizers they brought the food in already which is very annoying and to top it off they told me the bar was also closing so we had to order drink if we wanted bc they were closing and it wasn’t even 12:00am and the margaritas we order we had barely gotten started with them bc they took so long to bring them this was all in a matter of literally 40 minutes we were out of there in a hour probably, the place it’s very nice don’t get me wrong but the experience was just so bad everything was rushed and for being so expensive you expected the best service, the food was also not the best.

The waitress was very nice, however the manager was terrible, I was served 1 hour later then I was asked to eat faster to clear the table. I AM IN SHOCK. I will NEVER come back again

This place made me feel like I was in paradise!!!! The food portions weren't so big like other places. The perfect amount of food to fill you up just the right amount.

I’ll start with this: you want good food you’ll definitely find it here. However, the service was slow. The bartenders were nice enough, but I just got the sense they were being dismissive on purpose.

I'm so happy that Serena brought back their happy hour. They have a decent selection of cocktails and bites. My favorites were the Sola Pero Acompañada and the plantain croquetas. Enjoying all this on a beautiful rooftop makes Serena the perfect spot to decompress after a hard day's work.

Horrible experience. Even though the music and atmosphere is nice, the hostess is terribly rude. The rooftop was empty so me and my friends sat at one of the tables to order food, she asked us to get up and leave since she wasn’t the one sitting us. Was never this mistreated in my whole life. Won’t ever come back.

Went here for my friends birthday and I was so let down. I ordered a gringa pollo quesadilla, with rice and beans. The whole thing was so bland, no spice added too. The waitress said if it’s okay if it’s spicy and I said sure. The cheese and the spice just wasn’t it. I would recommend spending 27 for this again.

I would say this is not a place to all types of food. If you are looking for Indian and Indo-Chinese dishes then ordering from here will be good. The food is generally spicy and they will make it mild only when you tell them in takeaway counter. Taste is good in almost all the dishes I tried and tasted. Quantity is Ok Ok, not too much or not too less. Don't miss their typical Indian dishes.

Shock ! So bad ! We start talking with hostess but they were on their phones both of them! So we need to scream hello 3 times so they will answer. Then we ask about table with fan but they told us that it’s not hot and they still have almost empty place. Then we were waiting too long for our waiter, then one waiter bring to us someone else’s food. Then we order sweet fresh cocktails with watermelon and they give us strong sour and bitter cocktail without watermelon at all. It's a shame that such a beautiful place has such terrible staff and service.

Birthday dinner and drinks with the fam. Great overall vide. Had a pleasant experience and would return. Food portions a bit small but definitely tasty and worth it. Margaritas were great, dj playing good music and a fire breathing artist with great skills.

It is a great place, every time I passed by I wanted to have the experience, the day I decided to go with friends we had a great time, the service was formal and fast, the food was delicious and well presented, the place was beautiful, well located and easy to access, I would recommend it 10 out of 10 times, the best experience of other food stalls without a doubt.

I chose this restaurant based on videos I saw on TikTok showing fire dancers. They did not have those when I was there. Miami is expensive, but our bill was high considering what we got. The highlight of the meal was the cheese dip. It was excellent. Aside from the cheese dip, we didn’t find the food that great. We also didn’t receive some of the food we ordered. I think this is probably a fun place for the younger crowd.

The place is very beautiful, has nice music and tasty food. Two things I didn’t like. Firs they serve us the appetizer and main dish together. Second my husband put in the reservation that it was my birthday and they didn’t do anything for it or acknowledge it. My birthday is tomorrow 05/05 but we were celebrating it early. Tip was included but I usually leave additional tip. This time I didn’t.

I went today for my birthday and Renata was my server. She was very kind and attentive. She made my 21st birthday feel special. When I asked to order my drink she kindly asked for my ID which she checked and then realized today was my birthday. Later after I ate she asked if I would like some churros. She then came with a flared light and sang me happy birthday. She was an amazing server. She servers a raise :)

Girlfriend and I went for drinks and food to the Serena bar, we sat at a table and waited over 10 minutes we finally got up to order drinks and we're told by the guy full of tattoos never got his name wears a cap kinda short, that they don't serve the tables this was approximately 6 ish. We ended sitting at the bar and being served by him, we asked if we could sit at the tables and his answer was that you need to order here and have the drinks here no one will serve you there. Didn't ask if we wanted good etc. An hour into the drinks we noticed people sitting down at the same table we sat earlier being serve by him. Being in hospitality industry I get the service tip included doesn't mean you have to go the extra mile but this shows you where the service is focused on. He never asked if we wanted food just drinks. Been there before and serve at the table on the far back left with no problem. Not sure who the manager or director is but let it be known your staff aren't hospitable at all.

It was an amazing experience and ambiance from the moment we arrived. Perfect for date night or girls night. The music is diverse and very up beat! The team work together to ensure your drink is never empty and very friendly.

This was a cool spot with an early happy hour (3p-6p). The Serena Margaritas tasted fresh and clean. There were several Insta spots including several swings at the bar. This was stop 1 on our happy hour crawl and it had the best atmosphere out of them all.

Comfortable seating, cool tunes with D.J Great atmosphere .Excellent menu choices. Somewhat pricey once the Miami Beach tourist zone taxes are factored in + the mandatory 20% Service charge.

What a great experience. From the ambiance to the high quality food and drinks, this place was the spot to hangout every night. The staff is amazing especially Xavier, Oleh, and Thomas. If you are in the area definitely considered grabbing dinner or drinks.

Went for a late dinner on a Friday night. Loved the vibe, candle light, flowered pergola, DJ and a fire dancer. Picadillo empanadas and fish tacos were yum! And the overall service was great.

Magnificent place with beautiful Latino atmosphere! Delicious dish but very filling. I recommend this place if you like Mexican cuisine and want to be immersed in an exotic atmosphere!

We had a reservation for 6pm on a Friday night and there were plenty of tables open, although I wouldn't be surprised if they got much busier later at night. The margaritas are tasty and strong. The food was good, but it took an entire hour to come out and we were so hungry waiting! Prices are also extremely high for the portion sizes, $34 for the birria enchilada and $32 for the salmon. Both weren't filling in terms of size, although the salmon was delicious with a perfectly crispy skin. It was also a long wait to get the bill, even though it wasn't busy at that time.

I was not impressed with the food at Serena. The Fish taco was actually one of the worst tacos I’ve ever had. The fish had a bad texture, the limes they served with it were mealy (no juice - like they were left out for too long), and overall, the flavor wasn’t really great. You know when Gordon Ramsey spits out food on that show where he visits restaurants because those restaurants are failing and they need help, and it turns out all the food has been sitting for days and isn’t fresh? That is what it felt like while I was eating these tacos. Anyway, the place is overrated.

This place is what locals (and anyone with enough knowledge) would call a “tourist trap”. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I don’t think it’s worth it. Tell me why 1 (yes just one) small empanada and 1 (again just one) drink costs $35

You won’t find a finer gin join in all the world than Serena and the master behind the bar Oleh is second to none and in front of most!

This has to be Miami’s most under rated lounge/bar of all time. I decided to go here yesterday for my anniversary with my wife. We made reservations, and upon arrival were seated very promptly and professionally. The atmosphere is by far amazing the greenery combined with the wind and seats on the rooftop are beautiful. I also want to mention during our visit it did start to rain and the restaurant was able to retract the roof which I found pretty cool. Their menu has a great selection of Mexican food not to mention the drinks were also very delicious. I wanted to leave the food for last because I cannot stress enough when I say that these were some of the best tacos I have ever had in my life. Me and my wife ordered yuca fries as an appetizer. It was so warm and delicious and also came with a very good sauce. My wife ordered beef tacos and I did the Baja fish. This was some of the freshest fish in a taco I have ever had. Not only was the appetizer amazing, but the main dish and tacos were by far to die for. On top of all the great service and the really amazing food we also got treated to some of the coolest entertainment I’ve ever had at any lounge. I’m not sure what she is called but the woman who was walking around playing with fire is cooler than anything you’ll ever see. This place has definitely now become one of our new go to’s we will definitely be coming back soon. I also forgot to mention that there was also a live DJ, which was playing some pretty cool unique music. The only thing this place was missing was some merchandise with the name of the restaurant on it. I would wear a T-shirt to promote this place any day. By far one of the best lounge/bar/restaurants in Miami.

Takes forever for service when they are busy.. took 20 mins to take a drink order

We might of come on an off night, but we weren’t impressed. The place was hard to find, there was no hostess, it was empty, the bartender wasn’t too friendly. We only got churros and a piña colada and it was $45. The churros came really quickly and felt like they were just heated up. The view wasn’t so good for a roof top bar. I did like the bar swings seats and the music was a fun too.

Had a reservation for 3 adults on 2/10/2024 and this place was extremely difficult to find that we ended up coming in late to our reservation. The website does not expicitly state it is in the Moxy Hotel and we tried calling for directions multiple times without anyone answering. After 4 attempts, someone did answer the phone and I'd assume it was the hostess since she was extrememly rude. I tried to explain the situation regarding being unable to find the place and she just kept stating we should have called to inform them as the kitchen is closing and we may lose the table. I don't understand how the kitchen could be closing when the restaurant is open until the early morning. When asked about where the valet was she just kept saying behind the hotel. Anyway when we arrive the place is pretty empty and there is clearly a bigger party that just got there as well. The hostess didn't say much but we were seated next to loud speaker when there was a lot of empty seating. We got the shareable quac which was good and I personally got the quesadilla which I enjoyed. Overall, we all enjoyed the food, but we did expect a bit more for the overall atmosphere. Our server unlike the hostess was personable and did check on us throughout our brunch to see how we were doing.

Dined at Serena tonight and the vibes were good and the crowd lively, the food was not good the chicken enchilada was drowning in a tasteless green sauce, the Guacamole was a blended consistency and the drinks all in small cans - way over priced for very poor quality food and over priced drinks . Our server was ok , never returned to check on how we were doing and informed us the food is prepared in the am and reheated and don't forget that 20% service charge that makes the servers all hungry to do a good Job -Not ! - so will not be back

Burger was really good, but the service need training. They take a Long time for bring the menu or ask you what you are going to drink ,the same to bring the food and the place was empty so no was a busy time.

Worst service ever, the wait person spilt my drink on my pants and tried to execuse himself by saying it was water l, what an imbecile. If it was not for being out with my co workers, I would have left. I certainly will not come here again.

If you’re looking for a brunch spot with ambiance and good quality food, Serena Rooftop is a great option. Our server was super nice but a little weeded. The establishment wasn’t seemingly busy- maybe they were short staffed. He did mention he was new so perhaps he wasn’t receiving the support he needed. All and all he was friendly and polite. It’s a more casual atmosphere than I initially thought. The furniture and decor is really cute and definitely instagram-worthy. The rooftop is adjacent to the pool so occasionally guests of the hotel would come through in swimwear. They had a nice selection of shareable apps and some great brunch options. They had options for everyone at the table, including amazing fish even vegetarian options. The cost of the food is definitely reasonable for the quality. The table shared some appetizers, each got an entrée and we didn’t leave hungry, which is always a great sign in Miami. 😂 I’ll definitely be back to check out Serena’s dinner menu. Do: order the tuna tostada, come with a small group or date Don’t: come without expecting to be here for the afternoon, come with a large group

Had a great time here. Love the music and vibe. The manager was very friendly and took care of our group and made us feel attended to. Food was yummy. High recommend. Much more than a rooftop Mexican restaurant - romantic and special occasion friendly.

Excellent high end Mexican cuisine and outstanding service. Decor is open and inviting and vibrant. Lots of tables feel like you’re in a romantic nook or corner. The menu has it all but we went with the chicken quesadillas, fish tacos, croquetas and the guacamole which thankfully didn’t have any onions in it at all. And the churros for dessert with hot chocolate is insanely good. Maurizio, the General Manager came by our table and added that personal touch that makes me want to come back again and bring friends or book a special event here.

A month ago we visited this place with my partner between 4 and 6 in the afternoon where only self-service was offered. We sat at a table and had to go order everything from the bar, zero attention from the staff. In the final bill, which was excessively high, they included a 20% tip, without having had any type of service. We asked to speak to a manager, who understood the situation and removed the tip from the check accordingly. To our surprise, this discount was never made and the total charge with the tip included was applied to our card. We have been calling this place for weeks to request an explanation and no one is giving us a solution. We felt cheated and our money was stolen. I would never go back to a place like this and I will make sure no one I know in Miami goes to this place.

Very nice location, excellent service but food and cocktails were very average.

I ordered the steak tacos and they were pretty good. My second taco fell through the corn tortilla but that may have been user error. I was expecting to get 3 tacos for the price they had but ended up just getting 2 for the price. I would like to see 3 tacos for the price they want. Other than that. I ordered the Brussels sprouts and they did not disappoint. Although I’d like to see them be a little bit softer. The sauce they had on top was pretty good. I didn’t like how I was forced to pay a tip if I was already going to tip. That ruined the experience and made me feel like they expected guest to tip automatically.

The guacamole and quesadillas are excellent. On the other hand, the deplorable service... loud music, the waiter who pushes consumption 5 times in a row, $30 tips obligatory, we couldn't even choose what we wanted to give... For the of course performance we wouldn't have given as much... it was excessive. I do not recommend at all.

Just had an amazing night out at Serena Rooftop. The place has a killer rooftop setting that really shows off what South Beach is all about. The Mexican food here is top-notch, especially the oysters and tuna tartare. Drinks were great with a solid selection of cocktails. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Definitely a memorable spot that I’ll be coming back to.

Honestly, one of the ABSOLUTE BEST MEALS I HAVE EVER HAD! I knew it was going to be good, but I can be certain that this is the only time I have had a TRULY fresh, incredibly flavorful meal. The Guacamole was addicting, the Chimicurri Aioli - my husband couldn't stop saying he would "put that S$$t on EVERYTHING", and everything came out hot. The grilled shrimp tostada - by far the best thing I have ever had in my life. The combination of all of the flavors - I was sad when it was gone. :-) This chef knows what he's doing! Not only were the margaritas to die for, but the service was incredible. Our server was so sweet and attentive, and everyone who assisted with meals and drinks were kind and professional. From the coolest atmosphere to the delicious food and drinks, this was honestly the best anniversary dinner we have ever had. Only took 17 years! Thank you to Serena and Moxy South Beach for a night we will always remember!

This restaurant is gorgeous! We went for my daughter’s birthday, and our waitress, Edith, made her feel so special! The food was delicious! The banana crepe was exquisite! The ambiance is wonderful ( swings at the bar, music playing, virw of South Beach from amazing roof, pillows are everywhere). Edith was genuine, made us very comfortable, friendly, patient, helpful, attentive, and made my daughter feel like a rock star! Highly recommend this gem- for the vibe , and the people!

I went with a couple of my girlfriends for a bachelorette dinner on a Saturday night. Make reservations beforehand because it fills up. This is definitely an upscale restaurant. Loved the food and atmosphere.

Cute atmosphere and drinks. We went here for dinner and have nothing but great things to say. The service was quick and helpful. Drinks were delicious as well as the guacamole. They had a live performance (fire dancing) which was amazing. I went with my husband, but could definitely see myself coming back for a bachelorette party or girl’s night.

First time in Miami and loving this place! what a beautiful rooftop. Thank you for an amazing service and delicious food. Will be coming back for sure. Loved my first restaurant experience in Miami.

Off the bat, the place was hard to find. There wasn’t an Entrance accessible at the address listed. Had to walk around building to an alley entrance to Moxy hotel. Signage is lacking, but we knew it was rooftop, so made our way upward via elevator. Once we found it, staff was friendly and attentive enough. They have a ton of fans blowing to combat the heat which was nice, but eventually become annoying as your hair was constantly blown around. Food, sadly no bueno. Tuna tartare severely over salted, overpowering the dish. Birria enchiladas, also way over salted. I appreciate well seasoned food, this was just too much. It was served in a piping hot cast iron dish, yet kinda cold inside. Which tells me they have these prepped in a fridge waiting to be heated. Not ideal. $90 later and not even any alcohol, no thank you.

We had an AMAZING experience at Serena. The vibe was great, staff was incredible and food was delicious. I recommend the spicy margarita and you can’t skip the guacamole! We will be back!

the rooftop is beautiful, the ambiance, especially around sunset time is lovely. there are only fans in very specific areas, making the miami summer humidity unbearable — i had to fan myself with the menu the entire evening. the hostesses were very unprofessional, didn’t greet us, took the name of the reservation and just stared at her screen without acknowledgement. their outfits were also very unprofessional and provocative, made me feel like i was in a nightclub not a dining setting. the food was 2.5/5 ., the leche de tigre was a 3.7/5, the sauce was good, the fish was fresh but there wasn’t enough flavour. the tuna tostada was a 0.7/5 , there was no flavour, the tuna was giant steak cut pieces of tuna on top of a tostada with a few pieces of jalepeno. guacamole was okay. nothing special. the fish tacos were 1.2/5. the chocolate brownie dessert was good. the churros were inedible overall, wouldn’t return
