A hidden gem indeed! Staff are very friendly and the food is amazing. Strongly suggest their veggie burger- it’s a in-house patty and it’s really delicious.

Thanks goodness we skipped the hotel breakfast and came here. Wow the breakfast was phenomenal. It breaks my heart to go back to new york and not have this absolute gem near me. I don't know where to start Coffee and iced coffee were great. The beef hash was phenomenal, almost skipped it but glad I didn't . The steak and eggs were incredibly tasty and the meat was juicy and well cooked. Felt like a steal to get that for 20. The pancak

First visit ever. When I walked in there were only 2 tables available but yet to be cleared. Granted they were pretty busy on a weekday lunch, but I was told to sit anywhere after a couple minutes of standing at the door. I awkwardly walked around to find only 2 tables available but not yet cleaned with the previous folks unfinished food and dirty dishes there. So I again awkwardly went back to the door to wait. No big deal, it's a busy lunch. A table was cleaned and I sat down. After about 5 min, the waitress came over to provide menus and get me going. I already knew what I wanted as I used the online menu. Then I proceeded to wait for 1 hour (60 full minutes) for a single wrap and fries. Multiple tables cleared out while I was waiting. Waitress came over twice in that 1 hr to say the wrap was coming. After an hour, the food came out (is 1 hr the end of the world, not really) and the wrong fries were provided. Big deal? Not really. They graciously make the right fries. So in the end, all the "not a big deal" things added up to a poor experience. I asked at the end what's been happening and was told there is a new chef learning. Okay, we've all been there. But all I ask is communicate that earlier, like 45 min to 1 hr earlier. This experience took double the time it should have and my motorcycle ride had to get cut short. Maybe I shouldn't give a low review since a chef was learning, but there were a lot of opportunities through this very long experience in both the kitchen, wait staff, and policies/procedures. Food was okay. But paying with Google Pay by scanning a QR code on the receipt was convenient.

Great food, excellent service, very welcoming staff. We're definitely coming back. The home made toast is not to be missed, I was very tempted to ask to buy a full loaf to take home. I want to compliment the staff for something I rarely see elsewhere. Someone brought in a "service dog", had it up on furniture, and was feeding it bits of their breakfast. I've been in many places where this kind of behavior would be ignored, even though it very much shouldn't be. The staff appeared to politely ask about the dog's training and why it was on the furniture, after which the customer left with the dog. I'm grateful the restaurant did so, I know it can be worrying for staff. I know many people like to ignore basic rules around service dogs, but these behaviors place properly trained and handled service dogs at risk. When people bring dogs into restaurants and break basic hygiene rules, they make those places less likely to tolerate real service dogs and their handlers. When people bring poorly trained dogs into public spaces, they place trained service dogs at physical risks, too.

The food has greatly improved from 10 years ago or so. Only complaint I have now is that they don't reduce the price if you request no meat. $12-something is insanely overpriced for basic egg, cheese, onions, peppers burrito and home fries. Gotta say the home fries are excellent, some of the best I've ever had. But it should be $2-3 less. A simple change would have me coming back multiple times a week.

My only issue is not remembering to order extra Benedict sauce!..everything is made in house and done right

Absolutely fantastic experience here. We are from northern VT. Was traveling through and on a whim went on a diner hunt, our family LOVES a good diner. This one was reccomended (4.6 stars on 400+ reviews) and they was ON POINT! very small diner as is should be! Staff was friendly even while busy. Food was A++ TIER. Not one single thing to complain or critique. My family gives this spot a 10. Come out and see for yourself! Thanks for a great meal, We already are talkin about our next visit!

Two of us came here during a busy moment. I will get the complaints out of the way first. There were two servers, people standing/sitting in the little entry area, and no indicator on how to get on a 'waitlist'. I talked to those waiting and asked, walked up to the counter thing, and was told it shouldn't be long (I guess that means I'm on the list?). We declined sitting at the counter. A few minutes later, one server said something to someone and I responded, and I guess I shouldn't have. I was trying to be helpful. She got snippy with me. Fast forward a while, she ended up being our server. We got drinks after several minutes of waiting, we ordered after the people she sat after us, we got our food when they were nearly done eating. Things were much slower by the time we had our food, and at that point she came over and talked with us for a few minutes and seemed like a nice person. I get people have bad days, but when in the service industry, I feel it's important to not take that out on the people you are serving. I left her a good tip. On to the food - it was great! And decent portions. I was so hungry by the time the food arrived (we were there for nearly 50 minutes at this point) that I did eat the entire main meal I had ordered and only left a few fries, which was challenging as the fries were really good I wanted to eat them all! We didn't taste the ice cream, by that point we really had to leave. Overall, I think I upset her when she was possibly overwhelmed? while I was trying to be helpful. However, I can't rate my service experience any higher than 3 stars because of what we experienced, and it only reached 3 stars because she eventually did let it go and talk to us like people near the end. Would I recommend eating here? Yes.

found it on a long drive from the ADK’s to Maine and we had a delicious BLT AND turkey Ruben. The maple Creemee changed my brain chemistry and our waiter was an absolute delight. Seems like a lovely local spot with good, honest food and the star were the Onion Strings. SOO GOOODDD

There's not a thing to dislike about this place. Everything was superb from the best home fries to the servers' honesty on our selection and everything in between.

A small diner serving great food! It is quite popular so sometimes they can be quite busy. I love going for breakfast but lunch is great too. I recommend the corn beef hash, it is homemade and it is my all time favorite! A great restaurant for this area as we are so limited in our options here.

Hands down one the best breakfast diners I’ve ever been to. The staff is incredibly attentive and sweet and Tyler, the owner who was cooking made the fluffiest and tastiest omelettes I’ve ever had. A++++

We made a little detour on our way from Montpelier to Boston in this lovely diner. Classic delicious ans mostly housemade american food, welcoming employees and a room full of locals on a sunday lunch. Definitely worth the detour!

Staff is so sweet and attentive to their customers. There were many regulars based on the waitress knowing their preferred orders. Homemade white bread was delicious.

I am so sad to have to write this, I have been to this this diner in the past and it was a pleasant experience. This morning tho I am just upset and appalled. My husband and I went for breakfast remembering how nice and homey it was. I got a Greek omelette and my husband got the breakfast burrito. The waitress Tia was very pleasant and handling diner beautifully being the only waitress. The trouble started when we were finished and were asked what we thought, I let her know that the home fries or potatoes (not sure what they call them but it's cut up potatoes) were under cooked and bland (My husband agreed) as well as tasted like whatever other food was cooked on flat top. Tia immediately started shaming me for not liking them! I mean seriously! She tells me EVERYONE likes them and we do not cook on or in anything dirty, so if I was concerned about getting sick, don't . I quickly tried to explain I understood cause most hot tops are seasoned just wasn't that great. But she continued to just look down her nose at me and defend them. Then when she brings bill she informed me that the potoes were cooked....I just couldn't believe it. Not everyone is gonna like everything and I never got nasty or was trying to say anything other then not my cup of tea and she made a point to shame me and treat me like I'm stupid. So sad that I will never go back.... Don't go if your gonna be honest about the food. Tia needs to learn to except that not everyone is gonna like everything and to respect that. I never got mean or request anything for it either, the whole thing was just humiliating and uncalled for.

A very bad first experience - we had a blonde server with arm sleeve tattoo who happen to ”miss place“ our order after waiting there for 45 minutes watching other customers get their food after us. she was a real nasty piece of work and was no pleasant and has the worst customer skills - we ended up walking out.

Absolutely great breakfast and lunch place. The waitress are great and work so hard to move folks through. Pleasant. As for the food. If you like REAL corn beef hash, come here! Great breakfast and I think I tried it all. As for lunch, home made white bread. Turkey club is great! Upgrade to great fries. Expect a wait on the weekend / holidays but it is worth it. Finish it off with a Maple Creamy. Best around! Enjoy! John

Was my first time in there was really impressed with everything

Angie was our waitress and she was an absolute angel. We’re visiting for the first time from Tennessee and Vermont has been everything we hoped for and more. We knew we couldn’t leave without pancakes and this place was highly recommended. They have THE BEST pancakes we’ve ever had anywhere and we’ve been a lot of places! I could not recommend this place enough. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy these glorious pancakes again! Until next time!

We did a take out order on our road trip. We ordered an open faced roast beef which came with fries and coleslaw, a breakfast burrito, and a cup of New England clam chowder. Everything was very tasty. Fresh cut well seasoned fries too. The only things that would be better would be fresh salsa in the burrito. Otherwise we enjoyed it a lot and the people were friendly.

I have been eating at the Creek House Diner every day for the past month during my lunch break. It has the best food in the area!

Driving up to Franklin VT from MA for a wedding. Quick detour off 89 to get some lunch and had the best hot turkey sandwich ever. My travel companions enjoyed their food also. Prompt, efficient and friendly service. Will stop by again if nearby.

We drove to Woodstock from Warwick, RI just for a drive to the mountain area of Vermont. We wasn’t able to get into one of the 3 restaurants in the town. It was like being in Newport, RI!!! So we drove North towards Bethel and made a turn and there was Creek Diner. The noon rush was over. We were hungry and we decided to stop and try it. We was greeted by, I hope I remembered her name right, Tia or it might be Dia. She will forgive an ole man for memory loss. What a sweetheart! She took superb care of us. The food is terrific and well done. Now I am a coastal person and have had a lot of white clam chowder. This chowder will make a lot of coastal places rethink how they are making theirs. Took a bowl home with me. It was the best I ever had! This place is clean and well kept. The bathrooms are spotless. That tells me a lot about a place. Now, you have to go next door and get a cone of their maple soft serve that has real Vermont maple syrup in it. To say it is delicious is using a mild word to describe it. It is way beyond that. This is a great find, folks! Don’t drive by! My bride and I are planning on going back up during the leaf peeping season. I don’t think it is possible to get to much of this place.

Stopped in on a trip through town after attending a funeral at Vermont Veteran's Cemetery. There were 10 of us family members looking to eat. I gave them a call with short notice for a table for 10. They were so gracious and welcoming! I was surprised how a busy place with limited capacity was able to accommodate us last minute. The service was awesome, even for a large group and everyone was so kind and helpful. The food was delicious. Some of us had breakfast, some lunch. It was all good! Every varied menu item coming out of that kitchen was prepared perfectly, served fast and was excellent!

Wow make a point to stop here! It’s the best breakfast I’ve had in a while! Corned beef hash was made fresh, they said it was a 3 day process and it’s worth it. I also had French toast and not many places make it right, I’m usually disappointed.. But this place was perfect! Super soft and tasty they know what they’re doing. Price was reasonable and staff was super friendly. Wish I lived closer

Visited this diner twice while on vacation. Both time food and service was excellent. Will return again when in the area, about a dozen more things to try on the menu, highly recommend.

The food was fast and delicious. Serving sizes are great for the price. They seemed to be one of the few breakfast places in the area, so they were very busy. The only downside was the place could use more space. It was raining when we went but I noticed they had outdoor seating. Presumably for the ice cream shop they had attached to the restaurant but it would have been nice if they offered outdoor service for the main restaurant. The waitstaff was on top of it despite the fact that I only saw two of them working the whole place. Again, it was small but packed. They did everything to make you feel comfortable and attended to. While we were waiting for an open table, the front-end waitress made sure to let us know that she hadn't forgotten about us multiple times. I love that level of communication, which goes a long way, especially when you're hungry/hangry.

Great place to dine and relax. My wife and I usually eat at Creek Diner 2/3 times a week. Breakfast and lunch menus abound with a variety of options to satisfy young or old patronage. Waitstaff is wonderful, two in particular, named Tia and Echo (who work Sat., Sun., Mon.). Their work ethic is exemplary. Their interface to customers is courteous and respectful, yet friendly. Whether you live close by or are just visiting Vermont you can't go wrong dining at the Creek Diner in Bethel.

Their website is probably one of the hardest websites I've ever used but the food is AMAZING! The cowboy burger is so good. The stuffed French toast is really good too!

I was attending the Jenny Brook Bluegrass Festival at the Tunbridge World's Fairgrounds and craved a good breakfast. Creek House didn't disappoint. They have the BEST homemade corned beef hash ever! When it came, my initial reaction was shock: carrots in the hash. Well, those carrots imparted a touch of sweet that balanced the salt and onions. The potatoes were grated, as in hash browns, and the meat was chunky, not diced to oblivion. Taught me a thing or two about making good corned beef hash. And the poached eggs were cooked to perfection, runny yolks, but no white snot. Decent coffee. Very attentive staff. Seemed to be a family affair. Go! You'll be glad you did.

This place is an absolute 10/10. Outstanding food and outstanding service. I wish I remember our waitresses name but she lit up the whole place. We showed up about 30 minutes before they closed and she welcomed us in with a huge smile!! If you’re in the area this diner is a MUST. Can’t wait to go back.

Came up to ski for the weekend from Boston. Every new breakfast spot I got to I always get the eggs benny. I also love to make eggs benny myself, and I can say without a doubt the corned beef hash eggs benny here was better than any I’ve ever had, including my own. Kinda upset about it but it was so so so good.

My husband and I were at the creek House Diner for Lunch today and it was amazing the people that work there are always so very nice we have been there quite a few times and have never been disappointed.

I work here part time so I get the delicious food on a regular basis but on my days off my family and I get the takeout food because it is some of the most yummy food around While being quick and easy to order online then go pick up when you're on the go! The menu has a great selection which works for my picky family since we can all get our favorites! I love the comfort foods best like the blueberry pancakes and the chicken rach burgers, and the specials they offer and especially that Tyler cooks everyones food just how they like it! The desserts are amazing, especially Allan's homemade pies! 😋 OH yeah, and the homemade doughnuts! There's so many yummy things, choosing is the fun challenge! The waitresses all work so hard but always have a smile for everyone even when you need a little something extra added! 😊 Yummiest food around!

Watch your debit card statement. I found this place and was completely satisfied until I read my statement. I was in on or about October 20, didn't get billed to my card until November 10 or so. The big surprise was it was for over $28, I never leave a tip on the slip, always cash. I don't recall what I had that day, it was either breakfast or a cheese burger and fries both of which I had with water. I've reached out to resolve this but have not heard from either Ginger or the man. I won't ever use my card there again. The service was good as was the food, but that certainly does not constitute a $28 bill for one person!

Heading home from a weekend in Vermont and we were looking for a good breakfast spot. A little bit of a drive off the highway but totally worth it. Breakfast was excellent, the waitresses were incredibly nice and provided excellent service and the atmosphere was lovely. We will definitely seek out Creek House Diner again the next time we are in Vermont!

Nice little diner. Breakfast menu had enough variety to satisfy most appetites. It lacked my favorite, chicken fried steak. We had omelettes and blueberry pancakes, all of which were cooked well and delicious. It could benefit from more local flair to its decorations, such as local photos and a few wall mounted locally sourced rustic antiques. Staff was friendly, hardworking, and efficient. Definitely worth stopping in if in the area and hungry.

We recently discovered this gem. The home cooked, tastes like mom made meals do not disappoint. Everything was delicious. Homemade hash and honemade bread.. Our server Angie was attentive, positive, and personable. We live about 80 miles away, but will definitely come back whenever we are in the area. Wish it was closer!
