I totally understand the hype. I’ve been wanting to try it everytime I drive by. I ordered a daily special which has 2 slices and a drink. Most places serve you pizzas that have been sitting all day, but they made these slices fresh and they were absolutely delicious. They also have other things besides pizza, worth checking out the menu! They get busy, so it’s best to call ahead or order online. I waited for my order and the place is pretty cool so I didn’t mind it. I’ll definitely return regularly. The pizza was amazing and the employees were pretty great too!

Yes run by a bunch of kids (how else will they learn?) driving down from reno to san diego we wanted to eat some good pizza, while searching we found crossed eyed cow pizza and read the reviews and got excited about it, it they are true, very good pizza in the middle of no where, we will definitely come back next year

Just awesome. Delicious pizza. Totally inconspicuous. If you start or end your tour there on Route 66, an absolute recommendation!! The facility is really great

I can't say enough about this place the food is DELICIOUS including their salads I just wish they would give you more dressing for their big salad bowls 3 little plastic containers isn't enough other than that the pizza is 🔥🔥🔥🔥their whole menu is great I've tried it all. They serve cold beer and wine, and the staff is FREAKING AMAZING this place is so good we drive from Barstow to Oro Grande at least 4 times a month their food and the atmosphere is just that good. I highly recommend you try this place.

Best pizza in Oro Grande!!!!! ONLY pizza, but let's not split hairs. It's the coolest spot for miles around. Even the outdoor seating in this blistering desert-scape is more than pleasant. This entire town is a treasure, so be sure to go see the old cemetery, the antique mall, the murals in the parking lot, and see the train going by. And have some pizzaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! Oh and Mother says, "This is probably the best bathroom in Oro Grande as well!"

good crust. nice crunch. fast service. friendly staff. enjoyed the garlic bread. Nice spit along 66 to stop and get abite to eat.

This was fun place in a small rustic town. Good food... but even greater vibes.

I used to rave about this place but the original people that ran this resturaunt are MIA. It is now run by a bunch of kids that take 30 minutes to make a salad when the place is empty. I will not be going back.

Hey folks, I happen upon a Pizza joint just off National Trails highway in the quiet town of Oro Grande, CA. I'm sitting at a booth, and I can clearly see the railroad tracks and Semis passing by. I had the Iron Hog pizza, a meat laden, cheese extravaganza. The menu selections are vast. The Antipasto salad is designed to feed three to four persons. They serve a variety of beers to include a dark beer. Also, some garlic knots. Hot and tasty. The staff is both friendly and courteous. They have an outdoor seating area.especially enjoyed the IPA beer. A great combination. Bring the family or bring the gang. You won't be disappointed.

Even when busy they always send out top tier pizza and sides! I usually get the Cadillac Cheesey bread and wings, on the side. And those never disappoint!

My family and I love coming here!! So delicious and reasonable prices!

First time ordering to go and our pepperoni and jalapeño pizza was like flat bread pizza and hard like cardboard when I called to complain worker stated it's hand tossed pizza and they can't guarantee every pizza will be fluffy however the other 2 pizzas we ordered were perfectly fine. Ordered dos pizzolis and when I asked about the toppings she stated we were supposed to clarify what topping we wanted even though it was our first time trying this appetizer. Worker had an excuse for all my complaints don't recommend

Food is worth the WAIT.. Took 36 minutes to get my food and watched two people get their pizza before me that came in after me. I was getting pissed. Then my peterbuilt sandwich showed up. Absolutely delicious. Forgot all frustration. Worth it if you need a break from driving for a little while. Their door closer is worth a chuckle too..

Flying Hawaii Pizza with cashews was delicious. The meat balls wernt that good. The caddilac bread with avocado was good. I would go back and try the different pizzas.

I can tell you this much about Cross eyed cow pizza, the pizza is extremely delicious. The crust is very good as are all the other ingredients that go on top. The service is very good and friendly. I can’t wait to return and have a meatball sandwich here. So if you are going on a trip on Route 66 stop and have a fantastic meal at Cross Eyed Cow Pizza. Okay so I have been back again. The pizza and service were amazing as before. My only suggestion would be a little more sauce on the pizza, it was a bit dry.

The decor was very interesting. Very creative. Live music made it hard to hold a conversation with anyone at the table, even those right next to you and across the table. Food that was talked about by so many did not hold a candle. While yes the pizza was loaded with toppings, they fell off very easily, and the garlic knots had little flavor. I'm not sure if I would go back for a second try or not.

This place has been one of, if not the best place I've ever been to hang out or to just eat, the atmosphere the food and the service is, and has been the greatest I've ever been to, not to mention the pizza there is absolutely amazing, so amazing the moment I saw that there was merch I get myself some and it's quite nice, if I could rate this a 6/5 stars, I would!

Ordered a large 16 in pepperoni pizza well done and an 8 piece wing. I was told it would be 25 minutes after 25 minutes I was told pizzas coming out in 30 seconds. Then was handed only pizza, they forgot to cook my wings so the pizza sat there and got cold. Then once wings were done I was handed someone else’s small pizza. I had ranch spilled on me and wasn’t even offered a paper towel. 3/10. As far as experience goes.

I am from Wisconsin and I only visit California maybe once a year for work. The last time I was in this area, I happened to come across Cross Eyed Cow Pizza and gave it a try. Wow! Their pizza is amazing! It's also got a unique, fun, funky atmosphere which makes it enjoyable too. This is now my must-go-to place when I visit CA for work. Love this place!

I've been going to the cross eyed cow for over ten years and it never disappoints! Fantastic food, wonderful and attentive service, the atmosphere is something you can't find anywhere else in the high desert and their efforts toward improving our community truly makes the cow deserving of the best in the high desert title. I really enjoy the Live music in the warm months and a variety of home made soups when it gets cold. Also they're dog friendly ❣️

Great food…terrible service! I ordered online at 5pm, food was to be ready at 535. I showed up at 540pm and waited…40 minutes later I asked where my food was. It was sitting on the warmer the whole time, as the server walked past me the whole time (it’s a small room but place). The last time I was there it took over an hour. Dine in or don’t bother, I won’t be back

I will definitely NOT be coming back because the pizza has been trash recently, always giving me overcooked burnt dough. The service isn’t great. Young girl up front doesn’t have the kindest personality.

After hearing all the hype about this pizza place. I took my mama for lunch. This place did not disappoint!! The best pizza in the HD by far.

Funky decor, great value, very tasty pizza!! I ordered the two slice special, thinking they had big pies ready to go and they would throw the slices right in the oven .... as time went by I was a little concerned they forgot about me ... but NO.. the two slice special was a little square pizza all by itself, cut diagonally. If I am ever around this area again i will be stopping by!!

We were greeted as we walked in, our 1st time in this restaurant, yet we Pass by it every single day. We decided to stop by and dine in as our cousin was leaving to Michigan, was chosen as this was his last meal here. The food and service was excellent, different but in a very good way. We definitely will be returning here..

They got the dough ya know that fresh chewy dough. Sauce and cheese makes me get there any way I can.

Delicious pizza and friendly service. Hubby and I dropped in this afternoon and ordered pizza and wings to go. I recommend the iron hog pizza and the hot wings. Looking forward to dining in.

Sitting for over an hour waiting on one 16” pepperoni pizza. I’ll let you know how good it is if I ever get it. Been wanting to try this place but this is ridiculous. Never again. I could have driven to New York and got a pizza faster. Finally got the pizza after one hour of waiting. Mediocre pizza at best. Then I get the sorry we’re short staffed on cooks. Not my problem and they were staffed enough to take my money plus a tip in the beginning. I really wanted to like this place but I guess cross eyed cows can’t deliver pizza.

Took 13 of our family members there and they were on point with service, cleanliness, quality of food, every single thing was top notch! The employees never seemed bothered or overwhelmed even with a huge party. This is now our family go to for pizza and all the sides! Best salad in the entire High Desert! 😋

Oh my gosh, what a hidden surprise! We came across this fantastic little place while driving though. It looks like a fun little place to eat, but not only is the atmosphere fun, the food is amazing and the service and attention is even more incredible. The place smells amazing when you walk in, we knew it was going to be a great place to eat. The service and attention at the counter was over and above amazing. Just perfect from start to finish! ❤️

We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was delicious. We will definitely be going back. Reccomend this place to everyone.

Went to try first time it was good but IMO not the best in High Desert

When we first arrived, we saw Michael outside and asked if the food was good here. Not knowing he worked there, he said it was great food and that he hand-tosses the pizzas and cooks them. This drew our attention, as we've never seen this in person. The outside decor and interior are really fascinating, creating a great environment. The staff was friendly and helpful when asked about different food items and drinks they offered (would definitely recommend the snozberry soda), and they got our food out pretty quickly. The food itself was amazing, which is a rarity in today's time, as good service and good food are hard to find at the same establishment. I had the unlucky cow pizza and a pepperoni, and they were both great—no complaints at all. Definitely my new favorite pizza as it is better than anything I've had before. Whether you're in the area or not, it's worth the drive or stopping by. You will not be disappointed!

This was a good place to stop by for a cup of koffee😊 Wanted to have something with it and waitress said they have a choklad chip cookies and a garlic knots. I ordered cookes, but she said that she is making one garlic knot to test for free! Oh, this was like so suprice in California (were everything is expensive)😃 Then I remembered that one of my "wifecarrying championship"* t-shirt was too weak to wear many times more, so I asked from waitress do they like silly stuff around their restaurant? And she said yes! She said that they will put it in a frame! I wrote my greetings from Finland to that shirt! Hopefully some traveller gots a spark to see Mine hometown completion. *This event is happening once at summer time on my small hometown Sonkajärvi😊

I was happy to find dairy free options in a pizza joint nearby. I don’t know if everything is cooked in the same spots or utensils being used for dairy and non dairy, I have stomach troubles after eating and had to take something to calm my symptoms. Overall it was delicious my family loved their pepperoni, sausage, and cheese pizzas.

It's OK but we received cold bread sticks and the manager argued that it was our fault.

I'm all about customer service when I 1st went there. I got a Stromboli, and it was amazing. The 2nd I ordered the exact same thing, and they gave me a calzone. I didn't care for it. So when I went back the 3rd time I wanted what I had the 1st time and I explained it to the cashier and told her I want it like the 1st time she said ok she understood what i was asking and i guess it all depends on the cook but she told me no problem she would take care of it. so when I got the order and saw it was a calzone I politely told her this is not what I ordered and by this time the owner was there and told me I need to read the menu because everything is explained on it and she was so rude about it rolling her eyes and everything at me like I was stupid. not knowing I just had a 15min conversation about it with the cashier....I WILL NEVER GO BACK i don't patronize rude judgemental people. I own a business, and I would fire my employee on the spot if they treated anyone that way.... shame on her.....

This place was delicious! It’s less than 10 minutes off the 15 and was a great dinner. We had the calzones with chicken wings. The inside and outside were nicely decorated as well. The staff were helpful and nice.

Although we did not get to eat here, we took photos of all the cool outside decor! We have heard the food is good and it was a stop in our Route 66 book. We were just driving though in the early am. Says they also have live music!

Not sure how a pizza place of this caliber ended up here, but the crust is terrific. Pizzas came out warm and flavorful. Would happily eat here again. The garlic sauce based pizza was delicious.

Worth the drive from Victorville, Apple Valley, Barstow, etc. Good selection of pizzas (inc vegan cheese), appetizers, and beers. Prices are normal. Food came out quickly, and the ambiance is funky and friendly. Enjoyed the seasoned potatoes, salad, and veg pizza.

There's inside diner style dining and an outdoor patio that features occasional live Bands 🎶 Great Place to bring the whole family and enjoy some GREAT TASTING PIZZA'S🍕and sides 🥗 🍻 Right off the road in old Town ORO GRANDE in the antique district, great for shopping and sight seeing antiquities🪑

Cross Eyed Cow is the best pizza spot in the world! Pizzas dope, the staff is dope, coolest atmosphere ever. I give it a mutant 4 thumbs up for sure.

The outdoor patio is cool, we actually visited this restaurant because The Nomads (high desert classic rock cover band) were playing on the patio stage. It was our first visit. And actually had not heard of this establishment . The food was good, service was good and timely. Would eat there again if I am in the area at meal time. Definite high desert hidden Gem.
