Great spot for a simple and good breakfast is the Country View restaurant at 692 Portsmouth Ave in Greenland, NH. It’s a small restaurant, so can get busy at peak hours, but it’s worth the stop! Food is tasty and the workers are really nice. They’ve been in business for a while and have won Best Breakfast in the Seacoast area and other awards in the past. We had the Big Breakfast and the Yo’ Vinnie, both were great. This is a no frills place, just simple food, but it tastes good. The beans were extra yummy! They overcook the bacon a bit, but my bad for forgetting to ask for it a little softer.

I was looking for a breakfast place that was close to me and certainly found a good choice. Got greeted with a smile right when I walked in and again shortly after when I sat down. Server Diane was great and very friendly. Fast service (in and out of there about 30 minutes) and the food was great.

What a way to start a new year of finding new places to eat. Had some chores to do and since my wife passes this daily and it has won several local accolades we decided why not A smallish dining room greets you maybe only 20 tables and the bar but service is quick so not much of a wait but now that we have eaten there.. who cares about the wait. A super friendly waitress came by for our drink orders and shortly after our orders. Wife had the Piggy. 2 scrambled, bacon, hashbrowns, red onions and sausage gravy on a grilled biscuit. I decided to go all out and go with chicken fried steak, hashbrowns, 2 over medium, with sausage gravy over a grilled biscuit. BEST CFS I have had outside of Texas. Everything on this plate was homemade and I got one can now say I have had the best eat out breakfast I have had in NH. Snuck a few bites off wife's plate and can say it was awesome as well. Service was unobtrusive, friendly as can be and when she asked if I wanted a drink refill I asked if I could get it to go which was happily done. I REALLY wanted to give a bad review so people would stay away allowing me easier access to my new favorite place to eat breakfast as I cannot wait to try their other offerings. Prices are right inline with other places but for the taste, amount of food you receive and the great service this place is a standout. 6/24 - still a standout. Have eaten here at least 10 times now and still haven't had a bad meal or service. The Piggy will full you up till supper and the wait staff is great.

My first time eating here but it won't be my last. I'm always skeptical when I see traditional Irish breakfast on the menu as being British it can often be a disappointment. Happy to say that was not the case here. The breakfast special tasted very similar to my country of birth and made for a refreshing change. The service was fast and friendly and the food good.

Food is alright for the price but the service left a lot to be desired. Waitress was brusque and didn't automatically tell us the specials, we didn't even know there were any. Didn't have our glasses and couldn't read the little board that was far away, and it was behind me anyway. We then asked a man who we thought was the manager what the specials were and he didn't even know, had to read it off the board. And this was approaching closing time so he'd presumably had all day. He also sat on the bench right next to us and seemed like he was going to keep sitting there and it seemed rather unprofessional. Then we asked if we could place our order with him since we were ready but he apparently didn't know how to take an order. Not sure what his job was. Asked waitress what Irish sausage was and she said "it's from ireland. i don't know I've never had it" instead of finding out. Place was also small and rather loud. Maybe a better option for take out.

Really great food, really nice staff. Lots of fun specials, and a great kids menu. The only negative is that it's a small footprint, so tables can be a bit close and it can get *loud*. Will absolutely be returning.

My burger and fries were hot and delicious but my wife's soup of the day is a different story. She ordered a BLT and the soup of the day minestrone. The soup 1st was 1/2 filled then was sent back to her full but cold.

I've been visiting on and off occasionally for a few decades. Every time I drive by, the restaurant is busy! I've never had a bad meal or experience. My recent breakfast 🍳 was good 👍! I had the Californian Benedict with hash browns and a side of sourdough toast. Coffee ☕ to start. Enjoyable! Service was good 👍! I was greeted at the door 🚪 with a smile 😁. My server at first seemed grumpy but became more friendly when I said my meal was good 👍. Free 🆓 refill on the coffee! The music 🎵 was what is now considered "classic" light rock 🪨 and country. It was at a pleasant volume and threw my mind back 🔙 in time. If you go for breakfast 🥞🍳, go early!! Portions to the price are good. I recommend a visit.

My boyfriend and I love this place. Excellent food and always a friendly face serving you a warm cup of joe. Will always remain one of our fave spots to have breakfast in NH.

So glad to have turned around for this gem. Had a delicious scramble and they even had Gluten free bread for toast! Servers were attentive and friendly. Definitely will be going again!

This was the first time I visited in a while. Sometimes that's a good thing, and sometimes not. This vist was great all around! Wait staff ( only one at the time) didn't miss a beat. She was not only timely in greeting me, she managed somehow to take care of the other guests as well. ( about 10 people in all). This is the sign of a real professional! My food arrived in a timely manner and it was hot. She checked on me often to make sure my needs were met. Planning to frequent more often.

Visited for the first time this morning and enjoyed the best breakfast I have had in New Hampshire. It was busy when we arrived but only had to wait a few minutes. I had a absolutely delicious breakfast this morning. I have never been there it was a first time experience and I will go back next time I am in the area. There are many plaques on the wall stating that they have won awards and I could understand why. And very proud to be part of the staff she said she loved her job and you could tell that you did. I was feeling abit overwhelmed when I came in, however I was greeted by Nada who was very kind, friendly and had a warmth about her. She made me feel very relaxed and like she really cared. What is not to love about the Country View? Service is so quick and friendly, the space is so cute and they've expanded to offer outdoor dining on picnic tables while the weather permits! I've been coming here for over 20 years and unlike a lot of staple restaurants, this one stays good!! I love being able to go somewhere and expectations meet reality.
