Andrew provided an exceptional tour of the distillery. It is obvious that he is passionate about his job and takes pride in being knowledgeable is the service he provides. Rex should consider it a privilege to have Andrew on his staff and should highly consider sponsoring him to attend the level one Somalia course. Invest in your employees and they will return dividends to you.

Very cool place. Great bartender. Had two flights to get in most of what they make. Dirty Pancho full flavor, light bite Dolphin Smooth aggressive bite, but could still be a day drinker Rock Hard basically a Dirty Poncho aged three more years and a little more aggressive Straight malt whiskey if a root beer float was a bourbon... Straight finished in chardonnay barrel is super sweet Tequila was sweet (had the gold) Eleanor not a lot of flavor here. I'd use it as a mixer, but it could be a day drinker for a beginner Errart it's scotch but not legally. Not a peatty scotch either Magnificent beasts solid whiskey Amburana very light bourbon and then it gets bold

Skyla was the best bartender ever! She had great customer service for me and my friend and had an amazing attitude and was super friendly! She was awesome! Definitely will come back!

Fang and feather/Crowded Barrel Whiskey Company was the spot for our wedding reception during the solar eclipse. The staff did an amazing job of making sure all of our wedding guests were cared for and heard on their experience with the drinks. Laura and her staff were absolutely amazing, even helping my wife and I with creating our Sun & Moon themed drinks for the wedding! They were such a joy to talk to and work with and every visit leading up to the day of left no question that this is one of the best places to be for an event in Texas. With so much love to the staff and crew, thank you Crowded Barrel Whiskey Company for your hard work, dedication, knowledge to your craft, and hospitality. It is not a experience I think anyone in my wedding party will ever forget.

Fancy surroundings, and pleasant place to be in good weather. Whisk[e]y flight included some 15yo malt whiskies, selection of bourbons, and some smokey ones.

Awesome vibe here! Great customer service - answered all of our questions about the MANY whiskeys available. Enjoyed sipping my flight on the deck with great friends. Found these guys on YouTube, and they've helped me learn to appreciate whiskey. Highly recommended. I may travel back into town for the sommelier course.

Drove up from houston to come here with my girlfriend and Brandon who was working the bar was really cool and knowledgeable. A very welcoming experience especially since i’m new to whiskey!

Attention whiskey lovers! The most popular YouTube whiskey channel has a home base, and it is amazing! Crowded Barrel, Whiskey Tribe on YouTube, is the spot. Just follow the signs for the "Wizards Tower". Super cool collection of funky little buildings and art installations greet the weary pilgrims. Once inside, I was greeted by a warm, friendly, and openly whiskey nerdy group of staff. That Bartender was extraordinary. His knowledge was amazing, and his wit and aproachability MADE the experience perfection. Totally worth the trip half way across the country. Of course the whiskey. Oh the whiskey. My MB's.... don't miss this. Put it on the top of your bucket list. Put a jar on your desk, and put $5 in it every time you think about whiskey. You'll make the trip before you know it. Just be warned.... you'll want to bring every magnificent drop home, so bring lots of extra cash. I didn't see anything over $100.... but there was around 15 of them to choose from. Fair warning. And don't get me started about the Magnificent Merch.

Very knowledgeable staff and the whiskey is solid. (And I'm not usually a fan of Texas whiskey) Mixed drinks are spot on as well.

Cool spot. It would be nice if the drinks on pour were more transparent before driving out here. Sometimes it’s the same stuff sometimes there is a new one.

Was expecting so much more. Place is tiny and old. Have seen reviews stating the atmosphere was great, don’t get it. A/C not working properly, had a nice sweat after an hour. Disappointed

Awesome whiskey distillery, with even better mixologists. Tucked away on a campus shared with the wizard academy a wedding venue, and a couple other businesses. The scenery is fun and worth the walk around. If you enjoy whiskey drinks, this is the place for you.

We had my birthday at the Fang and Feather, everyone made the experience wonderful. We had such a great time, everything was whimsical, and so well done. They helped make it the best birthday ever!

Tried the flights both ways, particularly enjoyed the errant barrel, so spent a small fortune on taking some of it home. Still, good atmosphere, good grounds around it, with a pretty beautiful chapel, and if you know this place from YouTube, it'll be exactly what you expect and you won't be disappointed. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I am a huge fan and regular viewer of the You Tube Whiskey Tribe and Whiskey Vault shows. Every time I am in town to visit family I make it a point to also visit Crowded Barrel, and each time I have been able to experience a different flight of well crafted whiskies. Thank y’all and keep it up! -I still have a bottle of Eleanor I am afraid to open in case I won’t be able to replace it.

This place is amazing yet nothing super fancy. It doesn’t need to be fancy. Just like they preach, focusing on great whiskey, great people and the experience. You go and sample some whiskey or try great cocktails and have lunch. You either carry on conversations with the friendly staff or keep to yourself and enjoy the experience. There’s no pressure to do anything and they have great mock tails for non drinkers or kids. They are animal friendly and will probably remember your name most times. Stellar service with absolutely knowledgeable staff with top notch drinks and service. Though it is small now it will grow quickly in the future. I highly recommend for the quality of service and drinks as well as the scenic view and experience

Awesome place. They have a lot of great Texas whiskeys to sample. The area it's located in is beautiful.

We stumbled on this place on our way back from San Antonio to Austin. It was in a somewhat hidden location but it was an absolutely beautiful location. The staff were so friendly and enjoyed taking their time with us and our questions. We enjoyed the tasting and cocktails. Lots of outdoor seating! Definitely check this place out if your looking for good drinks, and gorgeous and quiet location away from busy Austin.

Staff was a bit inexperienced. Understandable since we all have to learn somehow. This place definitely needs a bigger selection of in house options and they need to broaden their cigar choices. I absolutely LOVE the venue itself. Very quaint and inviting with lots of scenery. The Poncho is the only Whiskey I can give a thumbs up on. The cocktails were 50/50. I'll give this place another chance in the near future.

Great place and good whisky. Please keep doing what you are doing. But I don’t have anything positive to say about the person with a ponytail who attended us. You know what they say about customer service and marketing, it only takes one bad experience…

You won’t find a better group of mixologists anywhere in this shiny nation. Their study of the art of combining flavors and ethanol is beyond comparison to any other institutions of fine drinking. Please make yourself a visitor and discover the layers upon layers of technical expertise this team of spirited alcohol aficionados has to offer. Make yourself a member of the tribe of faithful warriors fighting to preserve the classic art of small distribution distilling. Visit this bastion of defense of spirits distilled with the heart of our forefathers. I wholeheartedly support this fine drinking institution and demand you do the same.

Love this place! One of our go to spots on Sundays when we are wanting a drink. Tends to be very peaceful on the patio and it’s beautiful. Not sure if it’s 21 and up intentionally, but our favorite thing about Crowded Barrel is that we don’t see children around. Please HIGHLY consider making this official as there aren’t many places left for only adults to enjoy adult beverages at :)

What an AMAZING place! 👏 I absolutely 💯 wish I could visit every day. I'm not sure why but this place had a magical essence about it. The wall of names is a awesome touch for those who have helped support Crowded Barrel. I don't know anything about whiskey but I do know the taste of Eleanor was pleasant, almost elegant on the tongue. If your looking to get out of Austin for a couple hours head straight to Crowded Barrel, have a drink, and enjoy the magic.

My brother and I were in Austin for long weekend and we visited Crowded Barrel at least a little while everyday ( using app tide services) and had great time, all the staff were fun and engaging. Great place to visit.
