The food is good, but the schedule of this restaurant is so variants, when u think is open is closed, when u think is close is open. Sometimes am looking good and realize is open and them I order but, mostly we never know

Sad they closed. Their food was phenomenal. I hope they open a new location because they were capable of taking on a bigger crowd for sure.

You have to try the cauliflower paella. World. Every time I've gone it's full, that means the food is very good. Reserve before you go. And Francis' attention is extraordinary.

We order a-paella and risotto fungi.The risotto was salty and consistency was not right The Paella was less salty but was under cooked. Excess of oil The meat lomito was not first quality either.( For the risotto) We are italian/ venezuelan desendence. Is a shame we did not get the quality that we were expecting!

Food is ok but the management sucks. If you want to growth your business you don’t need to be greedy you need to learn how to serve people. We brought +40 people with a check average of +50 per person to this place and we find an unorganized logistics and unpleasant staff. I highly do not recommend you to organize a private event here. Owner will not communicate properly.

Excellent in every way!! Would give them more stars if I could. This is by far the best paella and risotto (all of them) we’ve ever had!! Also, don’t leave without trying the Katy arepas and the dulce de leche Tres Leches dessert, you wont be disappointed and you’ll have to return for more, sorry. Excellent service as well. The staff is very attentive and nice and chef Luis is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure we are more than happy in our experience there. Every time we go we cant wait to return. Thank you again!

First time here. Service and food are very good. I recommend the seafood paella. As appetizers, the ceviche is the best served with platanutres. In addition, the shrimp served with tostones. On Saturday and Sunday they have music. They make a variety of mixed drinks made with tropical fruits. I will come back

Intimate restaurant serving south American cuisine. Reservations required due to limited seating. They have live music on Friday and Saturday nights. The food is amazing and the service is too. Their paella is excellent, as are their arepa and cachapa. We have been here numerous times now and we've never had a bad meal. I highly recommend this place. We love it!

Enjoyed a great meal here before Thanksgiving. Chef and the rest of the staff were attentive and pleasant. The appetizer sampler and the paella are top choices.

Delicious grilled meat & seafood

First time trying this wonderful place. Forgot to take photos of plantain chips so yummy and freshly made. Fish ceviche was refreshing and full of flavor finally the Paella plenty to share not over powering and well balanced with seafood. Oh let's not forget the fresh bread. We will surely be back to try more dishes! Staff was lovely and explained each dish to us which helped narrowing our choices. Try the habanero sauce!!!

My favorite restaurant in Katy! Best ceviche I’ve ever had, and the best paella I’ve ever had. The quality ingredients and careful preparation really shines through. Even the kale salad is outstanding!! Thank you Chef Luis, this is a gem.

This place is insanely good. Amazing and complex flavors. If I lived in the state I would come here every week. Guess I’ll just have to drag my daughter whenever I visit. Seriously one of the most interesting and flavorful meals I have ever had. Highly recommend!!

Love this place, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is great, sometimes they have live music. My only advise would be to offer the ceviche without passion fruit for those like me that love ceviche but doesn't like it sweet. Fully recommend the paella, it is out of the moon.

My parents love coming to this restaurant, and I must say that it is really good! I have come a few times before, and I truly recommend. Today we had the following dishes: Beef Carpaccio (5/5) — one of best Carpaccio in town Espetadas (5/5) — it comes with side dishes: salad, potatoes, and sausages Mushroom Risotto (5/5) — it must try!

Food is not properly stored or handled at this establishment. I was served spoiled meat and the empanadas were still cold in the middle when served. The chef blamed HEB for the meat.

I decided to drop by since it's in my neighborhood I ordered Mushroom risotto and Steak it was 10/10 next time I will add a vegetable. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars it's because the place is kinda tight. But will definitely order again.

Excellent food and service. Very clean restaurant. Mostly South American dishes. Chef came down and said everything is made instantly on the dot. I asked him of they add alcohol or animal fat to the product and he assured they do not. I was so glad. He also said he can make any dish vegetarian since it is made fresh. Just felt like one of those movie scenes the chef comes to meet the celebrity and takes the order they wish. Hahahahaha. I ordered an arepa. Salad came on the side. Food was very good. Thursday-Sun they have music too.

Essentials Kitchen is sooo good! This Venezuelan/South American restaurant has great food. I ordered the tequeños (you always need to order them), arepita fritas, spinach dates manchego empanada, and the plantains. I also got the passion fruit and mango drink. There were so many items on the menu I wanted to try! The servers are awesome. Thanks Essentials Kitchen!

Excellent food and service. The place is small, which makes the atmosphere cozy. All the foods we ordered were amazing. Starting with the arepa, crusty and tasty. The entrees were very good too. My wife said that was one of the best paellas she ever had. I ordered the spicy pasta with seafood and it was gorgeous. We highly recommend this place!

We have been to this restaurant multiple times over the last couple of weeks, each and every time they have been amazingly friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. This is going to be one of our favorite places to eat for years to come.

Everyone is so nice and the service is 2nd to none! The food is outstanding. I had the bread, nice crunch with a soft chew and the novaterra was absolutely the best meal I've had in quite sometime-Full of flavor yet light and filling. The side salad was perfection! A true gem in the Katy area. No pics to post because I gobbled it to quickly. Next time though.

This is one of the best restaurants I have experienced. The food was great! We got Paella, Espetadas, and a Sampler Platter. Every single plate was on point—top! We loved the attention to detail, and we loved the attention they give you as a customer. Good ambience! We went on a Friday, and they had a very charismatic sir playing music for you. I have to be honest, the moment you walk in you may think it’s a little space, but the food, and the service you get competes and its better than any big fancy restaurant.
