I have never had anything saltier than this fried chicken, it was horrible.

To be honest, this place has changed a lot in the last few years. The guy taking my order I had to repeat it like three times and he still wasn’t understanding I was saying sings not dings. Tried to charge me extra for fries and I said no fries. Pretty sure you gave me dings instead of zings. Unless the food is completely different used to love this place but now i am never going back.

DO NOT USE YOUR CREDIT CARD HERE! Awesome food but, BEWARE OF BEING SCAMMED!!! They overcharged my card by a random amount (not a mistake) & set it up as a recurring monthly charge!!!! Maybe thought I wouldn’t notice since it was late at night.

Went in for our first gyro in the Portland area and were not disappointed!! The beef gyro was amazing in both the salad and the sandwich and the French fries and sauce were seasoned incredibly well. We will absolutely be going back soon!

This place is open late and my expectations aren’t extremely high, but most recent experience was disappointing. I ordered and prepaid with tip online to be picked, said 15-20 min, I showed up at about 15, cashier said 5 more min, then I waited 10-15 more minutes for 2 items. Wasn’t that busy, two guys working but both appeared to be new, poor management decision. I ordered a schwarma wrap which turned out to be a sloppy chicken and lettuce burrito basically. My stomach was not happy about my decision. Won’t be going back to this location for a while. I know from previous experience that they have some guys who have worked there for quite some time, I just picked the wrong night, Tuesday 11pm. Hopefully the new guys get better training.

Portion size is miniscule. My Cigarrette is longer than my chicken thigh or my chick leg... for size range Onion rings were excellent with a slightly sweet corn meal batter, improving the meal, unexpectedly, given the quality of their chicken. Fries were not included, though charged for through the meal special. The "Tres Leches" cake is delicious and unexpected, a light in the disappointing experience I had Until this takeout improves portion size and can be consistent with their pricing, missing items, and improve customer service, I whole heartedly recommend staying away from this place... Total charged my bill, $25-,

I went in an asked for kebab & kofta chicken with rice & a salad. I first asked if the Kaful chicken was spicy. He said a little so I trusted him. I got my order it looked wrong. So I asked him if he gave me kabob chicken also. He nodded yes he did so i left. He didn't I got 2 of the Kofta chicken things that were so spicy I threw them in the trash. I can't eat stuff like that I have stomach issues. The salad dressing is watered down. The rice was good & the only thing I could eat. I'm very disappointed. I was hoping this would be my new spot for food. The price wasn't bad if I was able to eat it all but almost $20 to only be able to eat the rice no thanks! The chicken was in a roll & rubbery like nugget meat. Not what I was expecting at all.

Place smells bad, ordered chicken shawarma..took the guy 30 mins and I eventually end up with a burrito wrap filled with lettuce, cabbage tomato and juices with couple pieces of chicken (not even shawarma). Shut the place down.

You have to wait for the order to be ready even if you order it in advance but the chicken is good

I have noticed people complaining about mold in their food on social media. I purchased a piece of cake, and it also had mold on it. I went back and returned it. You should ensure the safety of your food before you sell it to customers. You guys need to stop microwaving your food and make it fresh so that customers get what they paid for.

Used to love this place. Not any more. Ordered ahead, waited a half hour, and headed in. Not even started, and the place was dead. Ordered a 10 pc bucket with slaw and mashed potatoes. After another half hour, food was ready. Got home to find both the mashed potatoes AND the slaw were frozen. Literally encased in ice in the serving containers. Got six legs and four thighs. Not a single breast. The chicken was lukewarm and had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for quite some time. It's clear that the owner of this place just doesn't care. Too bad, because while it's always been kind of dark and not particularly clean, the chicken used to be great. Not any more. It's just awful. Avoid at all costs.

Hidden gem. Scary place, no napkins just tissues on all tables but as usual delicious food at a reasonable price. Can't go wrong with cfc! But it's greasy so bring some napkins

Service was super slow and subpar. They gave me my food in a box and the bottom of the box was broken and refused to give me a 2nd box.

I'm so happy we got to stop in and finally try this place! The food was amazing, and the guys were so great, very friendly to our kids, and even gave them some treats. They just need to upkeep the bathroom a little more but not a deal breaker! 10/10 ordering again!

So disappointed usually a great places got two beefy patty’s with cheese and fires both of the pattys are filled with grease overdone the fries were soggy when I ask for them to be extra crispy definitely won’t be returning or spending my money. This is the second time in one day this happened.

Me and my brother decided to grab a quick bite to eat and I found this place. I knew it was bound to be good just based on the pictures of the menu. I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap and my brother got the chicken and fries. It was about a 10 minute wait but it was so worth it. The fries were seasoned to absolute perfection and the wrap was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. Crown Fried Chicken has a new regular and I can’t recommend it enough.

I put my hand on the dirty counter and removed it immediately. He didn't listen to me and sold me a soda I did not want. The chicken was terrible and the fries limp and horrible. Never again. Used to be good last year now don't waste your hard earned money on slop.

Great service, staff, and food! Never got tired going here over the years. Very family friendly. When you walk in the atmosphere feels calm and relaxing but looks like a NYC restruant. The tables and chairs are spotless. There are santizers on the tables so you can be sure you're hands are germ free before you eat! There are two floors at drifferent elevations. The lower floor gives you a view of the road as you eat and on the elevated floor you can look over the entrance and see the whole place. The staff were very kind and they have a large selection of drinks I was ordering a drink and changed my order from one drink to another they gave me both for the price of one! It's rare to find such thoughfulness. I bought a combo and the grilled chicken and fries tasted great.

Was feeling really sad and wanted some fried chicken because it’s my comfort food, this place was the only place open late, so I tried it out. It was not only delicious but the staff was so nice, they really made me feel better. Highly recommend!

This place is terrible. I don’t know how it ever gets anything higher than two stars. Half of the lights were off. The hallway to the restrooms was completely dark. There were cleaning supplies next to the credit card reader. There are pictures of biscuits and mashed potatoes along the counter, similar to Popeyes. They sell neither one of these. They don’t have fountain drinks, so the cashier gives us canned drinks that we saw him put in the fridge when we got there, so they weren’t cold. And finally, the biggest slap in the face came from my order. I ordered a 5-piece combo with Mac and cheese. Any other chicken place in the world, a 5-piece consists of all four pieces of chicken and an extra wing. My 5-piece? 4 legs and a thigh. And that Mac and cheese looks an awful lot like French fries.

For a chicken spot, the dining area was large and clean. The food was great, the service even better. Hardworking crew. The elder gentleman working was one of the most hospitable and kind restaurant workers I have ever witnessed. If you are in the Portland, Maine area- do stop by and show some love.

I ate so much chicken I puked. 8/10 would do again. The menu is highly chaotic however, so it is hard to tell how much you're going to have to pay for food. It's not an egregious difference, but a few things are in two different places at different prices.

This place should be condemned. Workers don't speak English, wear gloves or wash their hands. The backroom floor is covered in a layer of filth and grease with open tubs of chicken left uncovered in the sink.

PLEASE change your name to something other than the one on St. John St. It's confusing at best if you are not related to each other. I ordered online thinking it was the Forest Ave. location only to find it was the St. John St. location, and when I realized what happened I could not cancel my online order. I have no idea why there are two locations with the same menu but different qualities of food and service but it would be very good if you had different names to avoid confusion for your customers.

For one of only a couple places to eat after 1am, this location of CFC is worth it! I'd even eat here if it weren't 1:30 in the AM, but the cleanliness inside leaves something to be desired. So the food tasted great, just hope I don't get food poisoning!

We rolled in Portland late one evening from a long trip. We were looking for something good and cheap. The chicken was delicious and the kebobs were spectacular. This location is a whole in the wall but the food is on point.
