Food is amazing and the staff is very friendly. When we told them we like spicy they brought out another sauce just for us. My husband got the breakfast sandwich and I opted for the salmon special. Delicious!! The empanadas are homemade as are the guava cheese pastry and everything was fabulous! Recommend to anyone in the area! 😁

Outstanding empanadas and service. Will definitely be back and recommend. It is however a little challenging to find if you’re not paying attention.

This is the BEST place for a good Steak and Cheese sub the Cuban sandwich is awesome as well

Inside the bank building, great coffee ,food and seats inside are modern with cell phone connectivity! Worth a visit!

This is the a little hidden gem for Cuban food. They have great press sandwiches, and if you need to pick up for the day, their espresso is Outstanding, if you’re in the downtown area, make sure you check them out. You won’t be disappointed they won’t let you leave disappointed.

I started going to this spot a few months ago because it’s right by my job. It feels like you’re walking into a little Cuban cafe in Miami! The owner Peter is super sweet and is always there, he is great with remembering repeat customers and is super engaging and knowledgeable. The food and coffee is fresh and on point, best empanadas and croquetas you’ll find downtown!!

I have eaten here several times but today I have the pork special and oh my god this has to be experienced!!

Food is always magnificent. Always been with a group and the group always loves it. Service is great. Can't do a lot for the atmosphere given the location but they try and it's cute. But the food is so good you don't care. Try this place, you won't regret it.

Went to my bank in the same building and decided to give Cuban American Cafe a try today. I had the authentic Cuban sandwich. It was delicious and only $9. I met the owner who was a nice guy and found out he’d been there twenty years. That speaks volumes when a restaurant in this market can last that long. I’ll be back for sure.

The owner and family were extremely helpful when it came to ordering lunch for our work group of 30 people. They made sure everything was taken care of exactly as we needed it. The food and Cuban beverage selection were fantastic, the meals were delicious, and the service was phenomenal. Hope to be in the area again soon so I can introduce others to this amazing place!

The authentic Cuban was cooked perfectly. They cook their roast pork in house. It makes the whole building smell amazing and the food did not disappoint. Highly recommend.

I came in late as they were cleaning up. Having just traveled in from out of state I just wanted a Cuban sandwich and plantains! CAC delivered! Food was good and prices were fair. The owner was super passionate about sharing his cultural favorites and encouraged me to come back. I’m going to try to hit up their breakfast menu this week while I’m in town. Thanks!

It’s located inside of the Fairwinds Credit Union building. There is free parking in a small lot on the side of the building. There is paid parking across the street. The cafe is tucked away in a small corner. Very good coffee and super nice staff! So glad to have visited. Seems most of their customers work in the upper floors of the building, so it’s a very quiet restaurant. Ps: they have recently adjusted their prices due to inflation (see the photo I added). Pps: on my third visit, I came at 7:30 am, which is their opening time. The doors were closed. The security guard informed me they’re usually open a few minutes after 7:30. So, keep that in mind when you’re planning your trip. Amazing empanadas!

My husband and I both Cubans went to town for a business trip. Not knowing the surroundings looked for a place to eat on Google and found this. Entrance is a bit confusing, lost in the parking lot I asked a guy for directions and he showed me the way. We ordered the special rice, beans, steak with maduros and a salad. I like my steak well done, chef took it back to cook it a little longer and rest is history… We had an amazing lunch, place super clean and beautifully but simple decorated. They were nice and friendly. On top they have an incredible Bustelo coffee that exceeded our expectations. After the coffee I went back to the cashier to thank them and surprisingly the guy in the parking lot was the owner and the chef, the cashier was her mother. We left with our happy full bellies and made some friends in the process. Surely recommend this place to anyone looking for a friendly, neat, quiet and with very tasty food cafe. I ordered 1 Chicken Empanada, 1 Beef Empanada and the Cuban Special Sandwich. The Empanadas were TOP TIER, very good and I was super happy with them, they had amazing flavor and the dough of the Empanada was spot on!. It reminded me of my childhood lol... HOWEVER... That Cuban Special Sandwich had to be hands down the worst depiction of a Cuban sandwich I have ever eaten.. The ham was super thick cut and tasted overall very cheap. The bread was okay, but the contents in the sandwich were not good at all. And on top of all that, the bread was extremely soggy. I am beyond disappointment. How can you be a "Cuban Restaurant", but not have the Cuban Sandwich down to a T?? I can definitely see Americans falling for this as an actual Cuban Sandwich, but there's no way any Cuban is going to be happy trying this... Please take my review constructively!

what in the world is this? I ordered a cuban sandwich and i get this, absolutely horrible, i cant believe i paid for this!!worst part its my first time ordering from here!!! would not recommend at all and will never order from here again, I get better sandwiches for less at 7/11 or Wawa, what a disappointment

If I could rate more than 5 stars I definitely would! They did an great job! Addy was very helpful with placing my order over the phone, it was a big order and all orders were placed nicely, names on each order, great packaging, food stayed warm, on time for pickup, AMAZING !! (for a firm partner & attorney lunch, it turned out perfect.) thank you all! The firm loved each and every meal.

Super Cuban food. Walked in asking they cater my mother's 80th birthday party THAT night. (I know, it snuck up on me!)Peter and Lorna went to work and produced a beautiful feed for us. Thanks! Tip: Restaurant is inside the big Fairwinds building on Central. Just turn in parking for visitors. Easy in-and-out once you figure that out.

Found this hidden gem thanks to a Google search of restaurants near lake eola. Let me just say this is by far some of the best Cuban food I've ever had. The pork was amazing, the maduros were perfect, excellent service. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town

Went here on the recommendation of a coworker and loved it. There's a cozy, modern atmosphere, I had the Tripleta and a buddy had the Ultimate Cuban and we both loved it. Will be coming back!

Food is decent.. I got the roast pork special and it seemed a little bland and they were Out of yellow rice. My husband got the ultimate Cuban and he enjoyed it, they add potato stick chips which gives a nice crunch. We also got ham croquettes and the potato ball with the beef, both very good but croquettes are overpriced for their size. Overall not a bad experience, not worth the almost hour drive

This is genuine authentic Cuban food as it is a family operated cafe with one of best "Bistec de Palomilla" plates ever (Cuban Steak Plate, with Rice & Beans) with some delicious onions. Been going here for more than 15 years and always get the same thing, never disappointed with the food or service. If you in downtown and want some good Cuban food for lunch, this is without a doubt worth a stop.

Stopped by while in Orlando for work and hope I get to come back again if only to eat here. While I've never been to Cuba I honestly don't know what traditional Cuban food taste like but I can say that not only is the owner Peter and the other workers very nice and friendly but his roast pork is amazing! I had the Tripleta sandwich and it was phenomenal! Fresh baked bread with tender flavorful pork, steak, ham and cheese....yum. The plantains were cooked perfect, sweet and delicious as well. Great job to the entire crew.

Very nice place to seat relax and enjoy a Cuban dish in the hearth of downtown Orlando. The food is good, so is the service. One of the few places where you find "tostones" in downtown.

In my opinion, the best Hispanic food in all of downtown. The service is quick, and the new renovations makes everything feel so relaxed. I'd eat here twice a day, (breakfast and lunch) if I could afford it, and probably never get tired of their dishes. Located inside of the fairwinds building, don't be shy, check them out.

This place was unbelievable. The food was amazing. My tilapia was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The yellow rice was perfect. The plantains were so delicious I could have eaten my weight in them.

This is one of my favorite Downtown Orlando spots for breakfast and lunch. I am a regular here and the service is amazing and the food is always always delicious! I heard about this place from one of my coworkers who used to order a dozen plus sandwiches every time because our coworkers love the food so much. It's been 3 to 4 years and I'm still patronizing this business.

I've been coming here for several years and love the location. I've driven across town to eat here and love it. I just found out they are getting ready to expand the size and add many new features. Can't wait.
