Very good food in a casual place.

Not the place for an anniversary dinner. Children running and screaming. Lovely artwork on the walls. Staff was inattentive. Food was good and excellent value.

Small place with high quality, interesting meals which also serves dine in and take out pizza. Service is welcoming and efficient. Prices are reasonable. Nice wine list. Spring menu included scallops with spinach prosciutto risotto - which was very good. Reliably good food.

We are local and have in the past had take out pizza from Cucina Antica (so good), but tonight we decided to eat here on a cold, rainy evening. Our waitress was the best, and the spaghetti and meat balls and the braised beef dinner were amazing. Came with a nice fresh, crisp side salad with homemade dressing and warm bread. Bravo for tonight’s delicious dinner. Also enjoyed looking at the beautiful artwork on the walls, which our waitress said was painted by the chef.

Great find, especially for our family! Food was very good, and se6rvice was excellent! Play area for kids allowed all of us to relax and enjoy.

I don't know too much about the restaurant but they're bottles spaghetti sauce on the market is awful it's bland and tasteless..

Best Italian Restaurant in Vermont

I’m a hard critic when it comes to Italian food since my family owns Italian restaurants, but I have to say that Cucina Antica is my favorite Italian restaurant in the area. We highly recommend the lasagna, chicken Parm, and the pizza! The portion sizes are huge, especially since they include salad (the maple dressing they use is phenomenal), and it’s very reasonably priced. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great Italian/Greek dinner in the area!

I found a very large worm in my salad. The server took it from me and offered to get me another salad, which I declined. She did take the salad off my check, but did not offer much of an apology. I know critters can get into salad mix, but the restaurant could have made it right by being apologetic and comping at least a portion of the check. Our party could not even enjoy our entrees because they garnished our plates with the same lettuce, which made us lose our appetites. We did not bring home the leftovers.

We're from out of town and it's always risky when you go to a restaurant that you're not familiar with. The food here was fantastic! I had the lasagna, the portion was big enough for two meals, and was delicious!! My husband had the stroganoff. Once again the portion was huge, the meat was super tender and well cooked! It was a fantastic and moderately priced meal. I would highly recommend!!

This is located in a shopping mall, which is very deceptive. The employees and food were amazing. Probably the best meal we had while in Vermont, especially when you consider the pricing. Highly recommend

A local store recommended this restaurant and we're so glad they did. It's off the highway a little and we wouldn't have seen it. The service was fantastic (Thanks Chelsea!) And the food was even better. We've never had eggplant fries but oh my gosh. They were cut to order, lightly battered and fried perfectly. I think we got a whole eggplant. The beef stroganoff was the best we've ever had. I don't think I've ever tipped 30% but they earned it!

The garlic knots are just out of the world and absolutely loved their pizza. They have multiple veg options as well. Their service and the vibe of the place is great!! 100 percent recommend this place

Staying at a nearby B&B, we popped in to Cucina Antica on a Thursday night for a quick bite - it’s clearly a popular local place and we could see why. Good food good service nice wine list too! Also gluten free pasta on offer - an excellent meal !!

My family had a wonderful experience at Cucina Antica. They were very accommodating of an allergy, service was excellent and the food was amazing. The pasta was so delicious and fresh. We will definitely be back!

I love, love this place. It is a small restaurant in a small shopping place in Shelburne VT. The food is consistently good. My favorite dish is the Greek plate. It is an overflowing dish, filled with Greek salad (Feta,red onions and Black olives included). On the plate, are grilled chicken breast, spinakopitta (delicious) and grilled pita, yogurt sauce and salad dressing. How clever of them not to drown the salad in dressing. In the last few months restaurant after restaurant has overdressed the salad. Their pizzas are really good ,my favorite is artichoke and sausage. They also have all kinds of entrees and specials. Good beer and wine selection. My latest favorite is 1/2 glass of beer from Goodwater Brewery. You say 1/2 a glass? Yes, they serve 1/2 glass of beers on tap for people like me who like a little drink with my meal. The service is great, I have my favorite people there .

The food is delicious - the best home made quality Italian and Greek dishes. The portions were quite generous, and our server Chris was first-rate. Lots of choices on the menu ranging from pizzas and spanakopita to fish, home-made sausage and house-raised beef. Very reasonable prices. When we saw all the locals enjoying dinner and others streaming in for take-out, we knew we picked a great place. Casual atmosphere, local artwork on exhibit, they have a children's menu.

I hate to leave a bad review to this place. The atmosphere was good, the customer service was great. People there seemed to be happy and having a good time. When our food came out, it was a disappointment because the table next to us had such great looking and smelling food. The salad was full of nodes and stems. The crutons saved the salad. The muscles were very grainy, I couldn't eat them. They could have been washed a bit more. We were still charged for them even though we ate 3. That was a letdown. We still went and got Panera afterward. I would still say give them a try. I will go and try something else to give it another chance.

Food was great and waitress was very good. Will be going back.

Decent traditional pizza for the price. It does take a fair amount of time for them to make so prepare to wait 45 minutes if you are ordering it around the week.

My Fiancée and I were craving some Italian food. We ordered an appetizer, which was Garlic Cheese Knots before our dinner. She ordered the Chicken Parmesan. I ordered a small "MeatEater" pizza that was very delicious. I have to say that we will definitely be returning back.

Wonderful dinner to celebrate our 18th anniversary! Chelsea and Mike were wonderfully accommodating to my dietary needs. I really enjoyed the baked ziti with shrimp, prosciutto and artichoke hearts. My husband really enjoyed his braised beef with pierogies. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy the winter menu.

We came here after being turned away from Bark Eaters, because we had no dinner reservations. So we went to Cucina Antica and were welcomed to a seat right away. The food was amazing. I had the meatball sandwich. It was absolutely delicious. We are passing through Vermont and will be back before we leave.

The eggplant parmesan is delicious! Thick slices cooked just right, crispy and cheesy on the outside, creamy on the inside. Served over perfect pasta with yummy red sauce. Amazing!

Best pizza in Chittenden County! I'm adding to my earlier review! Cucina is so much more than pizza and I would add to that review that the pizza is exceptional. But even more than that, Cucina is a full menu Italian restaurant. The homemade meatballs are delicious! I've tried almost all of the sauces and love them all. The salads are amazing especially the Greek and Brown Sugar Roasted Almond. Right now they're featuring Key Lime Pie among other dessert choices. It's the best I've ever had - really! We're weekly regulars now!

Everything on their menu is delicious. The pizza is amazing. The beef bourgenion is the absolute bomb! The mozzarella garlic knots are to die for. Definitely a must stop restaurant if you're in the Champlain Valley area.

OMG the food here is off the charts good. There is literally NOTHING on the menu that isn't spectacular. Notably the mozzarella garlic knots are to die for, the pizza is insanely good and the beef bourginion (sp?) is the best dish we've had in a very long time. It is absolutely delicious. Do yourself a favor and eat here, OFTEN. We are so happy to live nearby.

Quick, friendly, and didn't mind that we made a later reservation

Which, of course, meant we walked in on a Friday.. Disappointed? Not really, we were there for the food. However, if you're staying Burlington, it's about a 25 minute drive back with traffic. My husband got a large pepperoni pizza, which in the grander scheme of things, is a shame because they have an amazing selection of specialty pizzas. The pizza was good, if a bit cold by the time we got it back to the hotel. I ordered the Chicken Mushroom Marsala over gnocchi. It was tasty, but the chicken breast, which was huge and really thick proved a bit dry on the outside and undercooked on the inside. Unfortunately, they placed it whole directly on the gnocchi, squishing it. The Caesar salads were fresh. The star of the evening, though, were the Mozzarella Garlic Knots. OMG, they were fantastic and surprisingly survived the drive. Maybe the experience would be approved had we dined at the restaurant, but the quality wasn't enough to go back and find out. Except for the knots--would be worth it just for them.

My wife and I are visiting Cucina Antica in a regular basis. The restaurant is owned by local people who have tremendous love and passion for what they do. The food is unbelievable, the service impeccable, and the dinning experience unforgettable. The menu is always renewed with new dishes that titillate your palette. Delicious healthy food options for whole family.

We stopped in here for dinner recently with friends and were greeted with heavenly notes of homemade sauce and fresh baked bread. Tucked in between a hardware store and a grocery, Cucina Antica is popular with locals and visitors alike. Old World inspiration with New England touches. Our meals were excellent.

I had the (huge) lasagna and on recommendation a glass of the Chianti which paired very well. My wife had the lobster alfredo which she enjoyed as well and our baby slept the whole time, thankfully they had a highchair! Nice atmosphere with Sinatra playing in the background! We've had the pizza here as well and it's so good you must try it.

This is a small place off of Rt 7 in Shelburne. Besides dining in they do a lot of take out, mostly pizza. The food is great and well prepared. Good eggplant parm and scallops over risotto. This is a nice place for a special dinner for couples or with a small group.

Don't let the fact that they do pizzas in the back area (which looked delicious too) stop you from having a delicious dinner in the dining area. My husband had chicken parm - tender and not overly breaded with a wonderful tomatoe sauce. I had the special which was a crab stuffed port chop over corn, roasted red peppers and goat cheese alfredo sauce, over fetucine with apple, bacon broccoli. I wasn't sure about the combinations, but it was sensational! Go, you won't be disappointed.

The perfect family run Italian restaurant with delicious menu options, reasonably priced wines, the house red was yummy..good pours. I enjoyed the eggplant parmesan and my husband and friend got the chicken parmesan! We were too full for dessert. A sweet gem!!

Great pizza, we ordered the veggie pizza, it haf broccoli, spinich, onion and tomatoes, crust was delicious, I would definitely return.

I have eaten here many times over the years, and do not recall any time when I did not enjoy my meal. Most recently I had pizza, which I had not ordered here before, and it was outstanding. Perfect thin crust with sprinkled parmesan, tasty tomato sauce and mozzarella along with other toppings. Salad was fine, and service was attentive. It can get crowded but I have rarely had to wait for a table. If you want some great Italian food in the Shelburne area (or even the greater Burlington area) this is the place.

Can I give this place more than 5 stars? Hands down the best pizza around. My family loves pizza and I have been informed we will only be ordering from her from now on.

Get the Greek pizza with a side of tzatziki sauce, you won't regret it. I don't think it's on the menu anymore but ask for it. I've had a great salad there, but the Greek pizza is just out of this world.

Great little restaurant! Our server, Chelsea, was amazing. She was so friendly and answered all of my family's questions about the menu. I would definitely recommend this place!

The food is quite good: Vegetables and salad tasted so fresh, and everything was seasoned well. Service was swift and friendly. Entrees were about $20, which I think was OK for the quality of cuisine, but not the atmosphere. This wasn't a romantic date kind of place. It was brightly lit, with paper napkins and a TV on the wall. Lots of folks grabbing take out. So feel free to bring the kids, and don't bother dressing up.

Well there's been some controversy over this place, but the fact is they've survived a few years and don't look like they're going anywhere. The food is good, especially the pizza! I did not have the best server, thus not a 5 star rating, it was also a bit long of a wait, but I have heard too many excellent comments about them, so I think I just hit it on a rough night, it happens. Overall my experience was good, not excellent but FAR from bad, in fact, we're going back this coming week, I recommend you give it a try.

Truly disappointing!!! Pasta was more like mashed potato, eggplant was very soggy as well. Also, when I arrived to pick up order it seemed to be taking a bit of time and there was conversation as they handed a container back and forth between kitchen and cashier. I asked if there was a problem and cashier stated they added chicken to my order and she proceeded to put it in the bag. Ummm "I'm vegetarian", her response was that chicken shouldn't be a problem then. hmmm.. ..Really! They asked several times if I was sure that I wanted them to warm a new spanakopita or if I were okay with the one that had chicken laying on it. Owner was apologetic but staff seemed oblivious. What part of vegetarian is not understood!Two teenage boys were the cooks, so guess that explains part of problem. I paid $35 for the two meals and honestly not worth $20. We'll stick to LaVilla. To end on a positive note both salad and dalmatas were good.

This is a very good restaurant that is in my neighborhood. I can always find something that I would like to eat on the menu. The prices are moderate and I find that the 🍲 is quite tasty overall. I enjoyed the steak 🥩 and cheese 🧀 last time and found it to be top notch. The only complaint that I had was the lack of imported beer.

Greek/Italian Good simple and traditional Greek or Italian food. Good for families. Clean, bright, definitely lacks any atmosphere. I had the Greek plate and really found the food was quite good. Would recommend it. Don't be dissuaded by its strip mall like location.

Every dish was beautifully arranged and perfectly prepared. Salmon had a delightful crisp exterior and just done interior with a nice compliment of caprese, the rib eye and gnocchi was rich and delicious, and the Greek plate appetizer was a perfect meal by itself with rustic spanakopita, tasty lamb, grilled pita and a light salad.
