Best pizza around consistently the same always,You must eat it fresh. Not so good as a leftover great sandwich’s subs. Made to order the way you ordered. Nice friendly owners . I sometimes make a 62.3 mile trip for pizza.

I grew up in Burlington County and relocated here a few years ago. The first thing I looked for, as far as takeout is concerned, was the best cheese steak. I found here at D&S! From the owner to the quality, with fair pricing, you can't go wrong. Sicilian type pizza, hoagies, steaks, cash only, plenty of parking! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

It's still the best of the best cheesesteak in New Jersey. Lunch with Darrell is like going back to a simpler time when food was always good and lunch was a time and place to relax and enjoy. The place hasn't really changed in 40 years. No wifi, credit cards, or cable news. Love it!

Been passing this place for years . Glad i finally stopped in .. the cheesesteak was pretty darn good . Easy to eat , not messy . Good amount of meat . The Italian sun was good as well . Didn’t fall apart as you ate it .. the pizza was good but honestly tasted much better the next day .. I wouldn’t go as far to say the best of anything . But for something good and quick , this place shouldn’t disappoint .

I love this sub shop, food is really good. I have been coming to this subshop since moving to SJ from Philly 12 yrs ago and this place has the best cheesesteaks I have tasted in SJ. An added plus on service no matter how long its been between visits the owner and his family still remember me.

Definitely not the best cheesteak around, wife couldn't even finish her tuna hogie, strange aftertaste . For the price we are definitely disappointed.

What can I say but this man is a truly amazing craftsman and artist behind the grill. To watch him is to watch the likes of Michelangelo or Rembrandt. Or watching Leonardo Da Vinci building an amazing creation!!! I have had the pleasure to come in here for many many years and hope to continue to do so for the years to come. Excellent pizza! 1 size (square) and cash only, dine in or takeout only, but worth every cent and mile spent. Perfect crisp on the edges; perfectly cooked. I can vouch for extra cheese and pepperoni. Next time I'll be getting a sandwich and will edit my review. But I have a feeling it'll be really good.

The BEST Pizza steaks in NJ. Also, the Pizza is a Sicilian type, which is great. I've been ordering here since the 1980's--good family owned business and the building is quaint.

I was very impressed with the quality of my sandwich. I got a pork roll and cheese that came on a kaiser roll. The pork roll was fried perfectly and there was a very generous amount on the sandwich. The owner was very friendly and we had a pleasant conversation while he was preparing my sandwich. I will definitely be stopping by again when I'm in the area.

One of the best sub shops around you must stop by and at least try the only other sub shop that can even come close would be Atlantic city "White House submarine shop" ! And at this point I believe that they are doing an excellent job outstanding people outstanding food and remember they only take cash.👍🤫

Daryl,the owner, does most of the cooking. You can eat in or take out. You can order ahead and it is usually ready when u get there. Don't get me wrong, there are times when u might have to wait for your food, but it is definitely worth it. That is my opinion.No delivery! Sorry!!

Darryl makes the best cheesesteaks! Always consistent, clean, and they have character! I also love the ambience of this place. It’s a time portal into the 20th century. Treat and tip him well!

It's hard to find even a mediocre cheesesteak outside the city. This place really packs a decent sandwich, and if you are a frequenter of the off-road trails in nearby Wharton State Forest, it's barely out of your way! Customers are greeted with a hearty mom-and-pop type feel and a humorous menu that will brighten your day ($20 for advice on women, LOL). Definitely recommend. Try the hoagies! Just keep in mind they are cash only.

Since Wawa stopped making Roast Beef Hoagies, I have been searching for a good Roast Beef. And after searching most of South Jersey, to my delight, I've found D & S Sub Shop and the Best Roast Beef Hoagie ever ! And the take out service is great, fast, friendly, and easy parking. The price is very economical for a large (big enought for two) sandwich. eNJoy

Known Darryl since we were kids. Our parents are friends with each other. Now I known he can cook. Always great pizza, pizzasteaks, chessesteaks, burgers and hoagies. Best place in Waterford, NJ on the White Horse Pike.

D&S consistently serves the highest quality food. His prices are wonderful and he always is accommodating. We have been his customers for over 30 years and even though we have relocated, we still drive back weekly to have his delicious sandwiches! We have served his sandwiches at many family parties and everyone thoroughly enjoys them! Best sub shop in South Jersey!!!

D&S has very good proportioned Subs! Everyone there are always polite, even the customers. It's cash only so make sure you come with some bills in your pocket! My only gripe is that the make cheese steaks but not french fries.. 🤔😠🤬🤗

Friends tell me this place has been around as long as I've been alive and has never changed. Original owners are the original staff since the beginning. You can really feel the love of food in this place. Every single item on the menu is perfectly crafted to order and made with fresh ingredients. If you drive by early in the morning you can see the daily delivery of 12 inch hoagie rolls being dropped off. Most classic cold cut subs are available for purchase as well as a selection of cheesesteaks. I hear the pizza is also delicious, but only available for purchase as a whole pie. Prices are just right for the amount of food you get on the roll. When ordering a cheesesteak, prepare for a perfectly steamed and toasted roll and a huge portion of super thinly sliced beef guaranteed to make your day better. This is the kind of cheesesteak that requires no condiments to be both flavorful and moist!

Small, privately owned, friendly sub shop. The owner is always welcoming. They have a good, reasonably priced food in an area where there are no other choices within a few miles. The pizza is surprisingly good for a small sub shop. Whole pizza only and each one is made fresh when you order. Only suggestion is to get a fryer and offer french fries.
