THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! That’s the only way to describe this place. From the great people working there to the phenomenal food they serve up, you won’t find anything better. They have it all! The deli section is mouth watering and they have a great selection of foods to take home and cook. Don’t even get me started on the takeout. know they are highly recommended by their reputation for being top notch. SHEER DELICIOUSNESS! Thank you! YOU HAVE TO GET THERE. THEY NEVER DISAPPOINT YOU!

The best hoagie and cheesesteak I've had in ne philly

Boy I'll tell you one thing, they can make a heck of a sandwich. Classic neighborhood old school Italian deli. Doesn't get better than this. Fantastic selection of deli meads, butchered meats, rolls, and all types of imported Italian treats and sodas and various kitchen cooking items. The guys behind the counter are neighborhood guys, couple of them I've known since I was a young one. We need more places like this.

The breaded chicken cutlets are phenomenal!

The best Italian bread paired with roasted peppers and mixed green olive salad. Friendly staff.

I have to be honest so…I’ve driven past this establishment for years and finally decided to try it. I was hesitant because I wasn’t sure how I would have been treated (being a woman of color) but the staff there are sooo friendly and welcoming like we’ve known each other forever. Service was fast and the sandwich was absolutely delicious. It taste like what you’d expect a good quality hoagie to taste like. I was mad my daughter ate half!! Meat portions were perfect and the roll taste freshly baked. I wanted to go back the next day for another one lol but I didn’t. I went today with a coworker and the feeling of being welcomed was the same. I absolutely love this place I can’t tell enough people about it. Cleanliness and customer service means a lot to me but Dattilo’s surpassed my expectations with everything. They definitely gained a Lifetime customer.

This place was recommended by a coworker. This place needs updating. The smell was horrible and the refrigerated cases had a lot of condensation. Water from the condensation was dripping on the prepared salads. I could not stomach to order especially when I saw a worker grab cheese with his bare hands. No one wore gloves, I thought that was a basic serve safe requirement. I left and went to Marinucci’s and enjoyed my hoagie!

I ordered a sandwich by phone when they opened and told him I would pickup at 11.15 When I got there there was a line of people who wanted to order. I was told I had to wait in line to pick up. Ridiculous they should have a person at the register for pick ups. I left couldn't wait. When I arrived I tried to ask one of the workers behind the counter they were rude.

I ordered two cheesesteaks today and they both were very greasy to the point of feeling sick to your stomach.

My Italian hoagie that I had been craving for weeks wasn't what it was cracked up to be. My roll was hard. And I didn't receive my side peppers. Honestly I've had better.

One of Philly's best roast pork. I happened to be in the area for work. Couldn't decide to get an Italian hoagie or roast pork. The guy at the counter recommeded the roast pork. I could not believe how great it was. While I want to try their hoagies, it will be very hard to not go back and get another roast pork. When you find something that good, it's hard to want to change.

Old store. Could be cleaner. Not inclusive of women or people of color behind the counter, which is very odd. The men are nice enough. Food is take out and very good.

I went there on an early Saturday morning after reading the reviews, and looked forward to having a great tasting hoagie as I read about. When I picked up the Italian and corn beef hoagies I could feel that the hoagie rolls were hard. When I opened the Italian hoagie there was only 2-3 slices of meat on the roll and the corn beef meat looked and tasted old. I will not be going there again. And to mention, the service was not friendly.

Go for the rolls and don't forget the cheese. South Philly in the northeast..can be pricy but what isn't these days.

Old school service. What a bunch of good guys. They're happy to serve you strike up a conversation and maybe even entertain you with a song. Great sandwiches nice variety of groceries and pastas good butcher department. You should definitely stop in. It's a real neighborhood place.

My friend has always told me Dattilo’s has the best hoagies. She’s right! First time. Hoagie with the best chewy bread, delicious turkey, sharp provolone, roasted peppers. The biscotti are great. I’m so impressed with this little Italian deli where they even have fresh chicken, cheeses, great pasta and sauces, desserts like tiramisu, etc. Thumbs way up!

This is my favorite Italian deli. I've been going here for 20 years. Ever since I moved into Rhawnhurst. I get great lunchmeats here and cheeses too. Fresh rolls deli salads. They have an order window too. Step on up and get some delicious sandwiches. We all love it. Try their cannollis.

I'm disappointed! I ordered an Italian hoagie that was no better than Wawa!! What happened to their food? It lacked meat & the roll was different! Their quality has dropped significantly. Plus, nobody was wearing gloves. Not going there anymore.

I e ordered from Datillo’s since I was married in 85. Their food is delicious the service is so family oriented & friendly. I’ve gotten hoagie trays, deli meats, sauces, meatballs, their chicken cutlet, roast pork I could go on & on!! . My father in law loved the chicken cutlet sandwiches I made with sharp prov. Cookies are great too! I hope they never leave the area!! It asks below what I recommend & it only allows 1 choice but I recommend all of it!!

American hoagie- asked for extra, extra mayo and it was dry as ever and bread was too hard, like stale bread. Business was booming at the time so I guess they wanted to get customers in and out but for 15 dollars I expect my food to be correct.

When I first came here, I felt nervous because I’ve never ordered anything for charcuterie before. The man that helped me that day was really nice and let me try almost all the cheese and meat he felt I would like. Eventually I ended up getting the hot pepper American cheese and Prosciutto. I know they’re basic but that cheese was my type. 😂 After then I would always get that until I tried their sandwiches 😮 Shooked me to my very core how absolutely delicious they are. I especially recommend the main event hoagie, the most filling and savory sandwich I’ve ever had with the best hoagie bread I’ve ever had. A good crunch to your hefty bite, do call in the store when you wanna order thou cause grubhub charges 2-3$ more ☠️

The Italian hoagie used to be overstuffed to the point that when you took a bite the contents would fall out. The last Italian hoagie that I got didn't even warrant a napkin. Just like every other business, money is king and the customer is a pauper

HAVE NOT BEEN THERE SINCE 2013, until TODAY and finally made through due to busy working schedules. Their Sausage Broccoli Rabe is “THE BEST!” Those of you, who have not tried, should think to BUY! It’s sooooo OUT OF THIS WORLD!! Perfectly put together; into Gnocchi, pasta, even eaten alone with long hot peppers and salad on the side! Customer service is on par with your needs. In and out you go. 🙂

I ordered off their catering menu for my baby shower purely based off reviews. I had never tried their food prior. My first time walking into Dattilo’s was to grab a menu- it smelled like heaven so I felt confident I made the right choice. We ordered meatballs, penne vodka, chicken marsala, roasted potatoes and cold cut sandwiches. Everything, seriously everything, was delicious! I’ll definitely be using Dattilo’s again in the future!

If you're in the Northeast & want an amazing hoagie with high quality meats on a great roll I would highly recommend Dattilo's. They made one of the best Italian hoagies I've ever had. This place is a must visit if you love a good hoagie & live anywhere near it.

Asked for extra meat and cheese in my cheesesteak and didn’t receive either. Same for a hoagie that I ordered. Seems they skimp when asked for extra. They are a great business besides that though.

Honestly was looking forward to trying this place. I’m new to the area and have been going to Chubbys fox chase deli ever since I moved here however I came across this place and wanted to try it due to all the amazing reviews. I’m hoping it was just a bad day, however I won’t be trying them again to find out. I love hoagies and have never been so disappointed by one. The bread was so hard I could have chipped a tooth, the meat was flavorless, it was put together so bad they made wawa look good. Honestly I didn’t even eat half the hoagie I gave up. Like I said I really hope I caught them on a bad day or something

Didn't listen to any of directives in prep of food. Received wrong prices from chalkboard specials, and non seeded rolls must have been from last week. Ordered while hubby had surgery took home to eat later and roll still hard. Cheesesteak and ham/ cheese hoagie not good at all.

Just had the most amazing pastrami hoagie here. Very fresh and the bread wasn't a mouthful of dough in each bite like most places, perfect roll to meat to toppings ratio. I'll never go back to wawa for a hoagie again

There were two menu items I had to try: the cheese steak, and the Main Event. Look, we're a city saturated with cheese steak goodness. This was fantastic! Very close competition to Jim's on South Street. Hoagie was fantastic: good bread, fresh ingredients, and more than I could eat in one sitting. Hell yes, you need to check this place out!

I've been sorely missing my fave S. Phila sandwich places since moving to the NE. Dattilo's took me right back there from the minute I walked in - legit meats, cheeses, and bread only smell one way, amiright?! My first sandwich (The Main Event) was SO good, I plan on sampling my way through their menu 😊. Highly recommend!

This place I was referred form one of my close friends the staff is amazing food is outstanding I will only go to Dattilos for my steaks and hogies chickens cheese steak is real chicken and not the frozen steakems....definitely recommend this place! 😋

Great homemade meatballs, rolls & bread, best extra sharp provolone cheese . Pleasant workers. Have to get there before 1 or 2 PM to get one of the best tomatoes pies in Philly. Make very good spaghetti sauce Ya I know a lot of Philly people call it gravy.

Can I just say I can't believe I grew up in this neighborhood and I never came here until now! This quaint little deli makes one of the best cheese steaks I have ever had. They also have a ton of fresh deli items and fresh meats. I saw them on a competition for the best steaks and couldn't believe they were blocks from my house. Anyone that has read my reviews knows I'm also a big breakfast guy and they do that great and ALL DAY! Let me start with the steak. The roll is seeded and so fresh, solid foundation. The meet was moist and tender plus super stuffed. This is my new go to for steaks. My wife had an Italian hoagie and loved it, said it was perfect! Now to the breakfast, the sausage egg and cheese on a Kiser roll was delicious. The eggs were fresh tasting and the overall sandwich was great. My only minor ask is that they add a hashbrown as an option. They have no breakfast sides, no home fries and no hashbrowns. I feel that is kind of a big miss but not worth a loss of a star. But please add them. This is an absolute must go to.

Had a Italian sausage sandwich and it was so horrible I couldn’t even eat it!! The sausage had too much cheap filler till it tasted grainy yuck. I’ll never get anything from them again!!! Damm Shame they use to have Great Food!!!!
