Deschain Cellars and Winery delivered an exquisite Valentine's Day experience. From the delectable meal to the outstanding service, every moment was a delight. The wine selection was truly fabulous, complementing the meal perfectly. A romantic evening made memorable by the charm and elegance of Deschain Cellars. Highly recommended for an unforgettable dining experience. Update: We just had brunch here and it was fantastic! We’re planning on making this a monthly to do.

The staff was very nice. The atmosphere was very nice, except for the septic tank smell. The wines were extremely acidic. We tried the rose and red flights and their wines tasted all the same. I told my husband it was like drinking pickle juice and he said that's exactly what he tasted. I do hope they fix this and I wish them the best. We will not be going back.

We landed on this patio for Happy Hour. The view was amazing. The special was rose and we tasted each one. They ranged from light to very full bodied in taste. All expertly blended. I transitioned to the Temporinllo, a very full bodied and tasty red. But the absolute show stealer was the red sangria. Served over a full glass of ice it was refreshing with a sweet start and a very tart finish. That drink alone would bring me back. Julia was an excellent server and Willem, the owner, was on site and eager to answer any questions. Texas high country wines are unique and so very tasty. I highly recommend the venue.

If I could only give this place 15 stars! Wow, what a fun, quaint, beautiful winery this is. Kristin and the staff was simply INCREDIBLE. They took such excellent care of my group of 15. The tastings were absolutely delicious and the menu of food was a divine compliment. Kristin was so kind in helping me coordinate the details of this get together as we were celebrating a birthday in my group. I've been to many wineries in NTX and this by far is the top. Definitely a must visit! And sit on the patio if you can!!

This place is awesome! Had such a good time with my lovely wife and: Rainbow, Hannah and “Jim”! The wine is fantastic! The food is amazing! We will be back for sure! Here are the must tries when you visit: Get a flight of the reds. All of them are great! My wife likes all of the sweets. Also the Rose is delicious on a hot summer day. The cheese board and the jelly is fantastic. I also got a sample of the chocolate pudding and it was super good.

Visited a few weeks ago & and loved this place! We even got a tour of the back from the owner. Willem and the two ladies behind the bar delivered top-notch customer service. Tipsy trivia was a lot of fun. The wine and cheese are amazing. The owner bottles the wine by hand! I could go on, but just go see for yourself. We will definitely be back! Thanks for having us and being so welcoming!

First time visiting on a beautiful Sunday, and it was wonderful. Thank you to the gentleman who waited on us. He was super cool and laid back. I had my little dog in the car, and I asked if it would be OK to bring him to the patio, and he said yes. He also brought a pet water bowl for my dog, so kind! We tried the Rose flight and food. It was all amazing. I can't wait to go back and take more friends and family. It's was the best experience, thank you!

Venue, service, experience, location and entertainment were nice for Gainesville . Did not care for the wine. We are red wine drinkers and the bouquet has a musty smell that did not sit well with us.

The owner is so kind at this place. The wine is very good. There is a stage out back for live music on Saturday nights and a fire put for chilly nights. The salad is delicious! Must try in North Texas!

Mother daughter date night at Deschain Cellars. We tried a few wines. Our preferences, Sparkling -NV CANELLA PROSECCO BRUT DOC & my daughter likes the MOLO 8 LAMBRUSCO MANTOVANO DOC” Love the live jazz by Ner De Leon We ordered ; Wine Country salad Piro baguette, margherita Hummus of the day Everything was fresh and delicious. We look forward to returning for the once a month dinner.

We attended a wine pairing dinner on April 22 and had a phenomenal experience & meal! It was our first time at Deschain and the location was absolutely stunning. A perfect place to go enjoy a glass of (VERY good) wine and would highly recommend the pairing dinners. Chef was clearly knowledgeable about the food and cared about the quality of ingredients, presentation, etc. My whole family rated the wine and food 10/10. We can't wait to go back and especially can't wait to have our rehearsal dinner here in September :) Willem & Kristen have a great thing going with Deschain and we are in love!!!

This winery features some of the best award winning wines in the country and is right here in your back yard. If you haven't visited Deschain; you should. Was not expecting much but left with several bottles of wine! Great experience. Staff was great and engaging.

We found another gem of a place last night only a few miles from the Huff Family Ranch in Whitesboro. How cool is it to hang out for a few hours with the owner and vintner himself! I can tell you - it makes the entire experience that much more meaningful! Deschain is a winery that is producing some really delicious juice. I recommend trying both a white and a red flight to see what suites your palate. For me, the Rose and the Grenache were amazing. I can hardly wait to go back, taking friends and family with us. The atmosphere is fun and eclectic, the staff are engaging and the music was Bo-suited!

So totally Cute!!! This place has taken quant and cute to the next level. Used old shipping crates to make an adorable 3 story building. Full of class and charm. Staff knows their products and can describe them in full detail. Even built an outdoor stage for live music. If you go, don't miss out on the. Chocolate sausage! 🥰🥰 Can't wait for the next time!

We recently hosted our son’s rehearsal dinner at the Deschain Cellers. From the first meeting with Willem and Kristen when we were just visiting as a possible venue option to the end of the dinner itself, they took a personal and genuine interest in making sure that our event was successful. Willem went to great lengths to make sure every detail was carried out. Our vision for the evening became reality under their guidance. The evening was absolutely beautiful. Although we had originally planned on having the dinner outside, due to rain we moved it in doors. Willem and Kristen made sure that everything was perfect. Their wine is superb and their service and staff was exceptional. We will definitely be back for great wine and live music when we are in the area. The winery and people are delightful here! You must visit Deschain!

Super place to chill and hang out!!!

My wife and I visited this new winery a few weeks ago, and were delighted by the unpretentious, Texas-friendly atmosphere, the open-air porches, and the fresh, delicious wines! We met the owners, who told us about how they crafted the wine, and also told us stories from the construction of the unique facility. Definitely a sophisticated place for the countryside outside Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex! We tried a flight of wines, selecting ones both of us wanted to try - they very flexibly let you pick and choose! I liked a couple so much I bought a few bottles. But, we'll be looking forward to returning again when we run out in order to do another wine tasting and try some of the other varieties that we didn't try the first time! Oh, yes -- they also had a delicious few different snacks to nosh on while trying out the wines, and these were good, too.

We enjoyed our little stop today from being around the area. I'm not really a wine person but these wines are the best made, with quality behind them. The smoke blue cheese block is awesome to pair with their wines. The owner is experienced and will guide you on tasting the right ones.

Great little winery! We aren't typically fans of Texas wines...but the wines at Dechain Cellars are spectacular! They are high quality, great tasting and better than a lot of Napa Valley wines. They have a great menu too (ask for the smoked blue cheese). Completely worth the trip!

Saturday was our first visit to Deschain's. First of all, the owners are awesome. My wife and i really enjoyed meeting and hanging out with them. This winery is in a funky, cool eclectic building in a beautiful location. And, the highlight of our visit. Of course, the wine! We really enjoyed everything about Deschain. Since they are on the way between my in laws in Oklahoma and our home in Texas. We plan to make Deschain a frequent stop. I want to close by saying thank you. Your wine and hospitality are awesome.

Nestled in a beautifully wooded spot just off Highway 82, the winery has been constructed with recycled shipping containers and has several patios and an abundance of outdoor space to spread out and enjoy the delicious wines crafted by an award winning winemaker. Willem Johnson - Texas Winemaker wines have won a host of awards across the US and internationally, and he is the first Texas-based winemaker to win a Sweepstake Medal (awarded to the top seven of seven-thousand entries) from The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the oldest and most prestigious blind tasting in the country. If there was not enough to love in a glass of Sangiovese, Dolcetto, "Unchained," or Nebbiolo Reserve, Kristin Mapstone's warmth and the hospitality of the staff will make your heart feel more than full. We loved our table on the second deck and felt we had escaped to an adult treehouse with a menu showcasing a nice selection of both red and white wines. Who doesn't dream of escaping to a cargo-tower in the woods to savor great wine while soaking in the magic of great hospitality?

We stopped here on our way to WinStar, fantastic spot with a great views on their patio. Their wines were super tasty and our server Emily(?) was very knowledgeable and attentive. Totally recommend stopping at this hidden gem!
