Great food! Nice family run place. Highly recommend!!

DiLorenzo's Pizza, Subs & Italian Restaurant 8125 Canaveral Blvd., Cape Canaveral, FL 32920 2.5-Stars When dining anywhere on our beloved Peninsula, one has to be aware of wolf traps such as this place. I've never understood the business plan of "sticking" it to tourists. It seems that most places try to get as much money out of them as possible, often leaving, pun intended, a bad taste in their mouths. Sadly, DiLos (as they style themselves) is one such joint. Jocelyn and her husband own DiLorenzo's Pizza, Subs & Italian Restaurant in Cape Canaveral, which, according to its website, has been in the family for over 30 years. I like that. After 30 years of business, you would think that they must be doing something right. They are, just not a lot. I ordered a 12" Meat Lovers Pizza and a serving of their Italian Sausage, Green Pepper and Onion Pasta in Marinara Sauce. If you take a gander at the photos, you can see how clean, open and inviting DiLo's is. One thing in this Post-COVID world I like is how clean everything appears to be now. Our order was ready in no time, and after snapping a few pics of the grub, I slid my chair into a surprised gride (that's how clean the floor was) and commenced the job at hand. The first order of business was to sample the Pizza. I love pizza. I mean, how can one not? It's just so good! Not to beat a dead horse, but once again, I must inform the reading public that anything bread-based begins with the bread. In this case, it was pizza dough. I found this dough to be flavorful, chewy, and crunchy in all the right places. This was obviously freshly made that morning. Unfortunately, the toppings were thoughtless, frozen tasteless, mid-grade yuck. The question becomes why? It's like putting a silk bow on a sow before slaughter. Moving on to the Italian Sausage, Green Pepper and Onion Pasta in Marinara Sauce. Once again this was frozen slices of food service sausage thrown on top of pasta from a box. The sauce was flavorful and hit the palate nicely, however, the sausage and pasta fell flat. The Italian dressing on the salad is fantastic and it's this and the pizza dough that saved it from a 1-Star review. After the last two top-notch, high-quality restaurant reviews, here I am. Right back in the slop. This place is only open from 4-9 PM as if it was fine dining. Trust me, this flat store is nowhere close. The Big Boy says, "There is better pizza & Italian food within a mile of this place."

This is our go to pizza joint at the beach (and surrounding areas, lol)! They are wonderful, friendly, and not too expensive! The pizza is delicious. The restaurant is clean, but not very updated. Try the meatballs, trust me!! I'm not even a meatball fan normally. The desert pizzas are also outstanding!

We walked in and there was 2 people sitting in the restaurant. We wanted to order a pizza to go and the lady told us it would be an hour and half. WHAT??? We walked out.

Two large pizzas were great. Great hand tossed crust. No issues. I would definitely recommend. Busy time and only took about 20 minutes for our order.

There was a party that ordered several pizzas from this restaurant at our hotel, so we got the name of the place and there are no regrets at all. Found them on Uber eats and ordered the meat lovers pizza and it was delicious!!

Absolutely charming atmosphere. Came down from IA to visit my sister and we ordered a couple pizzas. A supreme and a meatball. The lady who took our order was very polite and pleasant. Even the dishwasher came over to talk to us while we waited on our to go order. The pizzas were excellent. The meatball was a hit! Definitely want to return before I leave in two months. Next time dining in to enjoy the atmosphere. Update. A few weeks later. Tonight (4/6) I ordered a stromboli. This place is a true hidden gem. 😋 It was so good. I will never order stromboli anywhere else while I am in town. You guys are truly the best in Brevard!

The best pizza I've had in my life. Not even exaggerating. The service was amazing, the place was super cozy, and the food was exquisite. The dough was crispy and cooked perfectly, and there wasn't an excess of sauce. We also tried the calzone, and just the same, it left no room for complaints. Amazing place. 100% recommended.

So delicious. The food is on point and so is the service. Really clean and cute place. Hidden gem. I loved my ziti with marinara sauce with a side salad & baked garlic rolls. I’ve tried the pizza and it’s really tasty too. Very fair price for the quality. Lots of parking.

1st they lost out order and sent me away. Then they called and said there was a mix up and I returned to be delivered a cold pizza. No apology. No change in the price. No nothing!

Ordered pizza for takeout. Really liked the pizza dough. Tasted very fresh and light. Pizza overall had very good taste. Only thing was that it needed more pizza sauce. I would recommend this pizza to others. Will ask for extra sauce on mine next time.

Attention rocket people from the West Coast! This place has the BEST pizza ever. Not just best for FL, but best ever. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the owners are awesome and they cook up some absolutely delicious pies. I recommend the VIP pizza. So crispy and buttery and amazing.

Great small restaurant with excellent pizza!

Ordered a large all green pepper, half pepperoni/half mushroom pizza to go. IMHO the pizza was good, but could use more oregano. Crust was tasty and slightly crispy, which I like.

Best pizza in town! My favorite is the DiLorenzo special pizza. The tiramisu is delicious too.

Very tasty and delicious. The authenticity is spot on along with the freshness of everything that came out of the kitchen. Those garlic bread puffs are AMAZING, as well as the shrimp in white wine sauce. The pizza crust was perfectly made and baked. My nephew enjoyed his wings as well. We are visiting from Missouri and this is the first restaurant that we did not have to take anything home in togo boxes bc we ate everything right then. You can tell that this is a small family based restaurant but I love it even more for that, the owners rocked out being cook and server. Very patient and professional. Thank you!! Best eatery we’ve been to since being in Florida!!

Nice family business. Service was nice and friendly. We ordered a meat lovers medium pizza. The cooked pizza dough and crust was very tasty. The pizza was cooked perfectly. I would give this meat lovers pizza an 8 out of 1-10, only because it's a meat lovers pizza so it should be a good portion with enough different meats to cover the pie. Just not enough of the same type of meat on each slice. The sausage was very tasty, just wish it was in every bite. We would visit again next time we come to town but we would order a large Cheese pizza, no toppings instead of a medium meat lovers next time. The cold refrigerator left over slices were just as delicious as the night before fresh and hot.

Best in Cape Canaveral. Love their Pizzas n homemade soups. It's tucket back off the main road, but it's easy to find.

for an appetizer i had garlic knots, surprisingly light bread! i usually dont like garlic knots much. I also had an excellent medium pizza with extra cheese, sausage and fresh tomato slices. amazing crust and what's gotta be the best cheese I've ever had on pizza!

What a great find! We've lived just up the street from this place for a decade and never tried it. We were craving pizza and wanted to try someplace we'd never been before, and we're so glad we gave this place a try. We only had the pizza and garlic knots, but both were great! It looks small from the outside, but there is plenty of seating and the service was wonderful. We'll definitely be back in often and can't wait to try some of their dinners and calzones.

Vacationing in Florida & like to try different things. This place was good. real mozzarella cheese. The garlic knots were delicious, calzone was huge, and the tiramisu was a little frozen but still delicious. There was only one lady serving, hence why it took a little longer for the food to come out. Over all, would recommend

Oh my, the pizza and calzone dough was perfection. Half carafs of wine were available, approximately 3 glasses in there. We had the Hawaiian pizza and a build your own calzone and a fresh cannoli. Delicious.

Quaint, good food, family friendly

I read another review about the frozen food. It's ironic that happened. When I went in, during lunch, I was told almost 30 minutes for a pizza. Why does it take so long? I was told because they DON'T serve frozen food, which they do. I've worked in upscale restaurants serving fresh foods that were prepared and plated up in 15 minutes. Plus, there weren't any other customers. The response to the review from the owner or whoever was nasty. They wanted specifics on the frozen packaged item. Thought you didn't serve frozen items??? They have no idea how to deal with customers. This is not the first issue I've had with them. Another time I went and it was lunch and they had been open for about 45 minutes. However, I was told they didn't have any dough or bread ready. SMH... The owners reply is a perfect example of how rude they are. There's only ONE review allowed. Also, you're making accusations without any bearing. The reply is another example of why you shouldn't go to this establishment. It is apparent your are a person/establishment who thinks they're always right and are free from error. I have no ill intentions and commented about someone else's review. Customers have a right to know what type of establishment you are and how you treat customers BEFORE going.

Just got meatballs to go. And they tasted incredible! Service was great!

This was our 1st time there and the food was excellent. This was the cheesy bread appetizer. Had their homemade Italian dressing on the salad and it’s one of the best I’ve tasted. Our whole meal was fabulous. We will definitely go back.

So sad. You would think in 2023 that people who decide to have a restaurant AT LEAST have a minimum standard. PEOPLE DONT WANT FROZEN ITEMS!!! WE CAN BUY THAT AT TARGET! CUSTOMERS WHO ARE ORDERING WANT FRESH FOOD NOT FROZEN SHEESH! LIKE ITS A WASTE OF MONEY! WE CAN PUT IT IN MICROWAVE AND HEAT FROZEN CR AP OURSELVES! IF YOU GUYS DONT GO FRESH I HOPE YOU SHUT DOWN. RIDICULOUS!

I wanted to like the place however the garlic knots were ice cold on the inside and the meat sauce a little too runny for my taste. My meal was brought 5-10 minutes before my date’s. The Calzone was great.

Pizza was good, calzone was good, how ever the low rating comes from the garlic knots that weren't garlic knots they looked like the ends of sub sandwich bread toasted with garlic butter brushed on them, if you were out if garlic knots just say so, also were on vacation, so if they tried to save some money and take advantage of some non locals shame on you, we come here every year and we won't order anything from your place again. Here as a tourist. Food was good but there were a few issues. Alfredo seemed to dry up in transit back home and their garlic knot was not my expectation (my thought is that the would be a knotted piece of bread and they seemed to look more like a dinner roll with garlic butter). Super-friendly staff but just had these minor issues.

Great little place to eat. Give them a shot. Very goooooood service and great food. Cooked on demand not a cookie cutter place. We loved the pizza and garic knots. Keep up the great work.

Pizza was excellent, but it stops there….. the bread knots were stale, the sauce was tasteless !!! The chicken for chicken Parm was a frozen product which tasted like pressed mussy chicken you would get at a fast food restaurant .. very disappointed when they advertise everything made in house from scratch .. will never return !!! Not recommended !!

Very cute family run resturant. Came a bit earlier than the earlier crowd for dinner, but we were welcomed in. The food was fresh and amazing. The decorations were adorable. The servers were so kind and couldn't recommend it more. The only thing to know is the bathroom lights are outside the door. Bit strange but clearly labeled. Had the pizza and the Trio.

We've tried every pizza place in CB and CC. DiLorenzo is by far the best pizza around. We ordered a pizza and a few pasta dishes. All were outstanding.

I ordered the Stromboli and my wife ordered a spaghetti plate. Her salad came out with homemade dressing and if that's a sign of what is to come, we're going to have a great dinner. Again amazing food. We were blessed to find this place. Thank you to the husband and wife team.

We've been going to DiLo's for about 3 decades now and it's always been consistent with how great the food is. It's family owned and and we love the friendly atmosphere. My husband is from the NY/NJ area and he says DiLorenzo's has the best pizza he's ever had, which says a lot. They really care about what comes out of their kitchen and we appreciate that. We're lucky to have them here in Cape Canaveral!

This is an excellent local Italian restaurant. Good food friendly service and a casual relaxed atmosphere all for reasonable prices. One of my favorite local restaurants not at the port.

Great food! We had DiLo Special pizza and a cheesy bread. Finished it off with Canoli and Cheesecake with strawberries. 10/10 recommend and will go again if in the area.

Okay here’s the deal, I have been on a hunt for good pizza since I moved from NJ to FL and I found this place solely on a whim. I am so thankful I did. It truly is very similar and is a taste from home. Thank you to this business for being so delicious! We will be back.

We loved finding this neighborhood gem near where we were staying for several weeks.We visited for dinner 3 times and had several different dishes. We so enjoyed each meal and were so impressed with the friendliness and service we received. We went for the Valentine special dinner on our last night and were warmly greeted and served a delicious meal. By the time we left we felt like old friends. Plan to be back next year in Cape Canaveral and will be eating here for sure.

Real pizza made by real Italians. We had salad, garlic knots, cheese pizza and a vegetarian pizza. Everything was great. Some of the big pizza we have enjoyed in a very long time. The crust is thin but has just the right amount of chew. Cooked to perfection.

We ordered a margarita pizza and it was delicious! We'll be visiting this place again soon to try something else. The waitress was super friendly and our pizza was out of the oven and at our table quickly. The restaurant was very clean and tastefully decorated.

We stopped with our grandchildren for dinner. The decor was pleasant, the wine very reasonable, and the service outstanding. They accommodated our (fussy) grandkids with plain buttered pasta and garlic knots. My manicotti was excellent, and the pasta sampler for my wife was great as well. This is a casual, hidden gem.

The food was excellent! I had the chicken Parmesan with angel hair pasta and it was the best Ive ever had. Daughter had a child’s pasta, husband had the meatballs, and Grandma had the meatball sub. Everything was so yummy! The garlic knots that came with the pasta we fought over. Would recommend buying extra. Food came out slow- 1 meal came out at a time with a few minutes between. By the time my meal came out everyone was already done eating. The pizza looked and smelled good. Lots of people had to go orders. Still would recommend to anyone visiting the area looking for a good Italian meal.

We tried a 16" pizza here for the first time. We won't be ordering again. Very nice crust and cheese. However, if there was even a drop of sauce on it, we didn't see or taste it. The 2 toppings were so sparse we couldn't believe it. It wouldn't have cut into their profits to throw on a few more pieces of mushrooms. You should look at the pizza and see an abundance of your chosen toppings, not wondering if they forgot to add any.

Water: good taste, no tap water feel. 10/10 Garlic knots: airy, yummy, sauce is divine. 10/10 Customer service: very inviting and pleasant. Very informative and homely. Theres even music which made my ears enter a melodic bliss. Environment: very welcoming and great themeing/setting. Felt like I was a tourist in Italy. I even went sightseeing. The way they fill up the beverages is very satisfying and pleasing to the eye. The aspect of the paper straws is convenient, yet simple, adding a nice touch to the establishment. The owners are extremely friendly and social. The presentation for the salad is exquisite and the dressing is simple yet saucy. The toppings on the salad are a nice touch and are to die for. 10/10 The stars are brightly shinning here. Not to mention the extremely fast service The stuffed shells are quite presentable and remind me of a shell. This lead to a pleasant crunchy surprise. For my pasta, I noticed that I was given red sauce. This may be partly because I forgot to ask for alfredo but I’ll let it slide. The noodles were divine Overall rating: 10/10 PS. Watch out! Bathroom door shuts fast and can lead to a tantalizing touch!!!!! Day 2! This time I had a different waiter. The customer service was very unique and the tone of voice was calm yet striking. This time I also ordered a salad. The salad was very well presented and I was given creamy ranch that made my mouth salivate. The amount of cheese is divine and the lettuce seems well washed yet modest. Very consistent with the flavors and tastes of the ranch. The dairy seems not expired and the seasonings were like a chorus of flavors tango'ing in my mouth.. The croutons were well placed and I enjoyed the thrill of finding hidden gems once and awhile and experiencing the unexpected yet enjoyable satisfying jolting crunch. The pasta was bubbling at me angrily (since it was hot and well cooked). I had no other choice but to suppress its anger by cooling it down with ice. Once controlled, the pasta made me belly dance and shake my thighs in excitement. Final thoughts, the food was divine. The cheesecake make my ears jiggle and the strawberry on top rejuvenated my pores. When I was done eating the cheesecake I felt like a new man. I was even motivated to go to college. My life has been changed. I highly recommend eating at this establishment. -josh

I've live in Florida 40 years,and I have to give these guys my favorite pizza rating in the state.akways the breads and pie crust will make you slap your grandma. One bite and it's boot scoot boogie time,make the drive or flight or whatever you gotta do but your doing a great injustice to yourself if you never try their Food.and remember grandma slaps back

Came into Cocoa Beach for vacation and found DiLorenzo’s through a google search. This restaurant has GREAT Italian food! We had complimentary breadsticks, garlic knots (airy and crisp), cheesy bread with dipping sauce (hot and fresh), DiLorenzo’s Special pizza (crust perfect with just the right amount of ingredients), Angel Hair w/Fettucine sauce, Spaghetti pasta with Alfredo Sauce, and a Lasagna! Everything homemade tasted delicious and will definitely be back next week after my family’s cruise. To let you know also the tea/soft drinks are one plus a refill, so if your a big soft drink consumer be prepared.

You know I have lived in the West coast near Tampa since 93 , moved to Cocoa Beach recently, While I was there EVERYONE asked if we were related to the same DeLiorenzo in Cape Canerval, The spelling is different, but maybe some where down the line we are.They have the best New York style pizza I have had in Fl bottom line.... All i can say is WOW !!!!! The best !!!!! I am honored to share the the same name even if the spelling is off. Thank You for making amazing pies

Door dash messed up my order and they made me a new one. Brought it home and was blown away! Not greasy not floppy and the dough tasted amazing! I would definitely order again from this family business. If I lived in the area… they would have my patronage indefinitely. Amazing pizza.
