Dockside Guest Quarters was a wonderful getaway for me and my wife to relax, enjoy beautiful surroundings, and be spoiled by the friendly and wonderful service of the staff at the property. Rooms are clean, comfortable and offer amazing views of the harbor and the area where the York River meets the Atlantic. Homemade daily breakfast was delicious!

We had our destination wedding at the Dockside, and our 30 guests stayed in the guest quarters. When we checked in, the staff was so welcoming and friendly. They showed us to our rooms, and gave us the rundown of the property. The grounds are stunning. And you couldn’t ask for a more beautiful view. The property has multiple little buildings to stay in. Almost all of the rooms have a private walkout porch so you can look out at the water. The rooms were very clean and the beds so comfortable. Each morning, there is a mouth watering complimentary breakfast offered for guests. The Dockside also has a restaurant right next to the guest quarters. The food there is also delicious! Our guests raved about how beautiful the property was. It was so nice and convenient to have everyone right on site for our wedding. It felt intimate, calm and dreamy. We are so happy we chose this special place to get married and look forward to coming back to celebrate our anniversary. If you are looking for a place to stay in York with a bed and breakfast feel, I highly recommend the Dockside!

Arguably the best coastal accommodations that we have had anywhere: quaint, comfortable, quiet, clean.

This was our first stay at Dockside. The accommodation's are dated but yet quaint, quiet and comfortable. The quarters are located on the shores of York Harbor. The scenery is forever Maine. A typical B&B breakfast is served daily in the main quarters, serving only the freshest bakery, cut fruit and various hot sides. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facility is remotely located so service's are limited. All in all we highly recommend staying at Dockside.

From the moment we booked our trip, to the moment we left, everyone at dockside was accommodating and cheerful. The views from our rooms were spectacular day and night. Our late night cocktail by the water was relaxing and our morning coffee in the gazebo was peaceful. Breakfast was delicious and everyone raved about the selections. This was our second stay, and definitely not our last!

Lovely place! The setting is heavenly, right on the York river and York harbor. The buildings and grounds are beautifully kept. There is a restaurant that serves a very nice bed and breakfast breakfast, good food, good coffee, and does an exceptionally nice dinner, both indoors and outdoors overlooking the harbor. The people are gracious and the right amount of friendly. We had a very nice separate cabin, quiet and peaceful. From what we could tell, the rooms could use a bit of an update, but I would still go back. Really a very lucky last minute find.

Best location, friendliest (real) people, great services. Room was stellar (crows nest, 107) and just the property and the surrounding properties made it all feel right. Fished, ate, breakfasted all possible right there. Stayed for 6 nights.

The location was very beautiful. The beds were comfy. The decor was nicely done and updated. Overall I would stay here again. The biggest issue for us was the 30 dollar charge x 2 days for the 3rd extra person. We booked two rooms adjoined. The breakfast wasn’t super fabulous other than the baked goods. It was similar both days as well. Omelets, waffles or regular slice of quiche would have really made the B n B special. Instead we got poached eggs in a cup, cereal and yogurt both days. The French toast was tiny pieces made from the bread at the restaurant they originally served as appetizer bread. The egg strata was salty and tiny pieces. There was no housekeeping and so I asked for extra towels to be delivered on the day we arrived but they forgot to do so. They left a tip envelope in the room and we wondered why. The room was clean but not immaculate. I found a tiny web with bugs by the bath tub and some trash on the shelf in the closet. In many small ways, while the place was lovely, the corners they cut made the place overall a bit chintzy. We paid more than 400 a night. It should have had better hospitality than it actually had.

A absolutely beautiful location! The B&B has a great breakfast Each day with eggs Benedict one day. Plenty of chairs and tables to enjoy your breakfast on the porch. A beautiful view of the harbor with comings and goings of pleasure and working boats. Our room was spacious. Neat, with comfortable bed. The restaurant on the property has a really nice menu. We enjoyed great mussels and a vegetarian entree with a view of the harbor. I highly recommend staying at the Dockside and plan to go back!

I recently stayed at the Dockside Guest Quarters in York, and it was an amazing experience. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, with a beautiful view that made the stay even more enjoyable. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The breakfast each morning was outstanding, with a variety of hot and cold options that catered to everyone's tastes. You could tell that a lot of effort and care went into preparing the food, with many items made from scratch. There were plenty of activities for the whole family right on the property. We went to the beach every day, and it was great that they provided fresh, clean beach towels and beach chairs. We even took a personal cruise with Captain John, who was the best! He was so friendly and even let my 10 and 12-year-old help him steer the ship, which put big smiles on their faces. Captain John shared lots of cool details about the island and gave us great suggestions for places to visit. Thanks to his recommendation, we had the best ice cream that evening. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend Dockside Guest Quarters to anyone visiting York.

When you stay at Dockside it's like you're vacationing inside of a postcard. It's a classic New England Inn with amazing views, a delicious daily breakfast, lawn games and a friendly, helpful staff. You're close to beaches and "must see" spots with wonderful dining options on site and nearby. We stayed in one of the buildings away from the Inn but with a private entrance and deck which was terrific. While the bed was comfortable and the room spacious, I went with 4 stars because the rooms are a bit dated and could use a little refreshing. Otherwise highly recommend a stay here!

Dockside has a lovely setting looking out at a harbor of sailboats. As is true of many resorts, they are short handed, which affects the quality of the service. They tried hard to make up for their failures, so I give them credit for attitude. I guess the setting justifies the rather high price, but just barely.

My husband and I stayed for three nights at the recommendation of a family member who is originally from the area and stays here when visiting. The quiet, tucked away location is so quaint, while providing stunning sunrises over the water. We stayed in #110 - our own private cottage right on the water. It was absolutely beautiful, watching and listening to the water foul starting their busy day on the water. Breakfast was perfect each morning and the hosts were very welcoming. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and both of our 50th birthdays, and the celebratory acknowledgement of those upon our arrival was very much appreciated. Thank you!! Next time we visit the area, we will definitely be checking in at Dockside =)

Wonderful hotel in an out of the way place. Our room was quiet and had a nice view of the water. The private patio in front of the room was nice. The staff was pleasant and helpful. They made it easy for us to extend our stay when I got sick. “Our Perfect Maine Stay” What could be more perfect than a country inn (Not a chain anything!) on its own island one can drive to that is also a fifteen-minute drive to Portsmouth NH, one of the best small cities anywhere. What could be better than to arrive at the Dockside, smell the sea breezes (& the roses, Charlie R), and after unpacking, take a short walk to either their fine restaurant or dock-side bar, for a libation prior to dinner. Perfect.

The rooms are amazing and most have an unbelievable view. They were clean and spacious. The buffet breakfast was delicious and the hot items varied from day to day. Breakfast always included fresh fruit, yogurt and granola and an assortment of fresh baked goods. You could sit inside or on the deck or take your food back to your room. There were an assortment of outside games available and bikes to use. On Tuesdays and Thursdays there’s a boat available at the inn that will take you out in the harbor for an hour for a very reasonable cost. The staff were very helpful and constantly checking in to see if there was anything we needed. We have been there twice in the past 4 months and loved it so much we plan to go back in the spring.

I almost hate to give this good a review, because I want to keep this place all to myself. What a great experience! My wife and I needed a quick getaway to relax and forget about work stress just for 24 hours. I've never experienced exactly that so quickly! The rooms were cozy, and ours had an amazing view that never got old. The bed was comfy as well. The grounds are breathtaking, and there seemed to be no end of places to sit and take in the scenery. The Deck at Dockside provided a great afternoon getaway for a bite to eat and some drinks before retiring to our room to watch the boats pass by. Then the morning breakfast buffet along with coffees on the deck of the main house overlooking the water..... okay I want to go back now!

Upon booking through their site, I received an electronic guest booklet that included driving directions and info about the check-in process, tv/wi-fi, amenities, etc. Room was cute, decent size and clean with a great view of the water. The grounds were well kept, had spaces for yard games and places to lounge. Though primarily pastries and baked goods, I was not disappointed in how the breakfast buffet tasted. My main complaints were that the shower head only had 1 setting and was just the outside ring and that there was no good surface to sit and eat at inside of my room. The rooms are decent-sized and clean, the beds and other furniture pieces are comfortable and in great shape. The bathroom is large and clean, but the shower is outdated and a little odd to use. Our dresser was a refurbished antique, but smelled terrible and couldn't be used for holding clothing. The TV was tiny, has no connectivity, and the volume was not adjustable. There was an air-conditioner, but we only used it for a few hours. Not sure how effective it was, as the weather changed rapidly. All-in-all, we had a pleasant stay, with a great view from the semi-private back deck attached to our room.
