Lobster roll was poorly done, just lobster meat with little else, no mayo or flavoring. Lobster “stew” was thin soup with lobster chunks and disappointing. They should do a nice creamy bisque. Maple Bacon wrapped scallops were good. Crusted haddock was good.

There's a wait, but... I think it was worth it. And the view while you wait, is beautiful.

Vegetable Curry was very delicious, ( walt disney level restaurant level) and drinks were incredible. Too bad this restaurant isn’t open year round. Will definitely come again

Had the patio all to ourselves! Mussels were superb and mac and cheese side was creamy and cheesy thank you for a great birthday meal!

Food and location are absolutely superb. The special crab roll, lobster roll and haddock were all incredible. The mussels were some of the best I’ve ever had! Our party of 5 ate there twice on labor day weekend because we enjoyed it so much. We had so fun playing corn-hole out on the lawn with a beautiful after view after the meal.

Arrived by boat and greeted and assisted by dock hands. Walk up to restaurant was on an incline but not bad. Waited about 15 minutes. Seated with a lovely view and a fabulous waiter, Ben. Food was fabulous, blueberry muffin to die for. We all loved our meals, fried scallops, blackened swordfish with roasted corn risotto, lobster roll N.E. style, and vegetarian stir fry with added shrimp skewer.

Dog friendly. Great food, awesome view. Access by land or sea.

When we land in Portland, we drive to the Dolphin for lobster. Then we plan our daily excursions so we can eat there two or three times more before we leave. We can't think of another place in the country we'd rather eat, and this year we are planning our vacation around their open and close of the season!

the Dolphin is a zoo of a restaurant ran by circus monkeys. These people don’t understand common restaurant lingo. I asked the bartender and manager 4 separate times if a barstool was first come first serve, they replied “oh yes they are” but then told me i needed to get up (from my open barstool) and wait in a ten minute line to be seated? The restaurant was an absolute mess. Thats not first come first serve service. Then when you attempt to order anything, the bartenders ignore you and a manager will come over and grab your arm and force you to go talk to the hostess? No thanks, you wont see me here. I already know that if the service and management are that incompetent, the food will be mediocre as well. Judging by the other reviews, the shoe fits.

Horrible place, service is 0/10 , food is very fatty with a someone’s hair in . We’ve been waiting 45min to take a seat even when almost all tables was free. Don’t waste your time

Worst place !! The owner of the restaurant Chris is rude , behaves very improperly with the staff, I feel sorry for the people who work there!!!The food is terrible, very dirty!!!

We’ve choose this place randomly due to 4.6 stars on google but it looks like most of reviews was lefted by the owner, which is very rude to the personel & visitors… Food is nasty, 1hr wait to take a seat, be ready that they bring u the wrong order for which u will need to pay.

I have been coming here for 35!years but this last visit it was noticeably different. Their signature dish of Lobster Stew has changed or at least was very different this time. No Orange hue and it was just bland lobster floating in milk. Not the usual amazingness. Muffins are smaller and the pricey tuna dish came with cheap starch sides. Sorry folks but for the prices they are charging and decline in menu, we have stopped going as much til we hear something has shifted. Too bad too because we do love the atmosphere but it has become too expensive to justify the value.

We were both totally blown away by this coastal location, and we kept on saying wow. Service from Kyle B could not have been better in the bar area, and it allowed us to enjoy this local must even longer. Started with an iced cold corona and a perfect old fashioned. We shared the calamari and went with the sautéed mussels and crabmeat roll. All were excellent! It was very nice when Mimi stopped by to chat and check on us. We will be back and are already planning a return before the end of the season. By all means, make this special place a must dine and linger!

A shining gem located in the charming confines of Casco Bay. Is always a must visit when we are in the area. The space is perfect for small or large groups. With seating options indoors and out. What makes it even more spectacular are the options for arrival: car, boat or helicopter. Interestingly, it’s not a rare sight to watch a helicopter or two landing. On the food front, the menu lays out a good number of choices seafood and non but the piece de resistance is the fish chowder. Imagine, a clam chowder, but with hearty chunks of haddock or cod. It is a ballet of buttery, creaminess that dances delightfully. The finale? It’s served with a sweet, homemade blueberry muffin on the side. What about downsides? The prices are a bit steep. And not all dishes hold their own. The fried clams, for instance, an underwhelming portion. Dolphin Marina is well worth anchoring your boat at. Two words of advice as you chart your course to this restaurant: Come hungry. Prepare for irresistible chowder and beautiful views of the bay + islands.

OMG 🥹 the best atmosphere around, they have the best blueberries muffins, for real, and the best mussels I've ever tried and I am a fan a mussels I always try it every seafood restaurant I go. The place is very nice, clean and the service is outstanding ✨️😎🤩

Ordered the lobster scampi dinner special. It was greasy/oily. Didn't taste or look as though it had been prepared w butter and there was absolutely no garlic flavor. Bland and boring. I'd had much higher expectations. Asked what the daily veg was. Were told it was snow peas. Ordered two. Two plates of very scrawny and sad asparagus were delivered to the table. We sent them back and got greasy/oily snow peas. Ordered a glass of white wine. A glass of red was brought to the table. Abysmal service.

We love the location and food at Dolphin. Blueberry muffins are always a treat and something that differentiates Dolphin from other restaurants. If you order something that doesn't come with that muffin, add it on! I tried the parmesean crusted haddock last night. It was perfectly prepared and tasty. It is a simple dish, not particularly sexy, but delicious. It came with fantastic Yukon Gold mashed potatoes (if I had known how good they would be, I might have just ordered these) and snow peas which were bright and fresh and again perfectly prepared. We started with bacon wrapped scallops to share. It's a generous portion and would probably be enough for a light eater's meal. I can never get these right when I try to cook them at home but at Dolphin the bacon is perfect and the scallop is also perfect, not overdone. We also shared a blueberry pie a la mode for dessert, made with Maine 🫐, the small very flavorful berries. Oh, drinks...my personal favorite at Dolphin is a vodka Blueberry Lemonade, another summer treat. Word of warning, Dolphin is very popular. If you don't want to wait (no reservations), go off-hours. We got there right at 5pm yesterday and got right in (just 2 of us) but 10 minutes later there were probably 20 people waiting. 4pm would be smarter!

As a spontaneous decision we ate an early dinner in the back of the restaurant on picnic tables over looking the water and marina. Beautiful view for sure. However, we were delighted with the quality of our meals and bar drinks. As others noted, the parmesan crusted halibut is absolutely amazing. The blueberry muffin specialty does not disappoint. I chose to satisfy my lobster craving with a 1.5 lb- cooked to perfection served with coleslaw and excellent fries. Great attentive service, great food and excellent dining al fresco if you chose.

Everything was perfect, our waitress was so good, our food was delicious, and we had the most beautiful view of the water from the deck! Also the blueberry muffin was the best that we’ve ever had. We’ll be back for sure!

A must visit Marina & Restaurant. We've already made 2 trips by boat from Saco this summer. Dock hands couldn't be nicer, the food is fabulous, servers are attentive & the view is awesome. We really enjoyed the best fish chowder, beef tenderloin skewers & seafood risotto. Always a wonderful experience.

Freshest lobster roll I've had and blueberry muffins are awesome!

A Thursday night dinner with my adult children (party of eight). Wonderful views, friendly staff and excellent food. Everyone raved about every dish, from the bacon wrapped scallops appetizer to the Parmesan crusted haddock… wonderful. My daughter is a vegetarian and her meal was as delicious and carefully created as any of the others. It wasn’t just a meal, it was an experience!

With such beautiful views I was worried the food wouldn't be up to par but I was pleasantly surprised! We had a great experience with our party of eight people that got seated right away and received excellent service. Everyone enjoyed their food although I think the parmesan crusted haddock was the favorite. Blueberry muffins are a weird side choice but they are so good you won't mind.

This place has the most delicious (and crazy expensive) lobster stew around. It is incredible. The view is amazing and the service never disappoints!

A recommendation from a local bakery in Brunswick and we weren't disappointed. The best soft shell 🦞 in the world? Great location at the end of a long road but absolutely worth the trip. Could not recommend it highly enough. Can I ever eat lobster again elsewhere without being disappointed? I hope not but I think it will be hard to beat this meal

This restaurant is at the end of a peninsula in Harpswell. Thus the view was AMAZING!! Top that off with great service and good and you WIN!! We had a special, a lobster pasta plate, and two kids meals. Plus the blueberry muffins are so good!!

The ultimate seafood restaurant where my cousin Peter end his wife took us for lobster rolls and clam chowder. The ultimate place where water meets the shore. I traded Pacific NW sailing stories for Maine sailing stories with the owner.

The panorama view of the water is exquisite here. Very picturesque! The service was the best with a hostess giving individual attention to the patrons. We enjoyed our meal very much. The options were healthy and diverse.

Menu quite limited compared with years past. Less special, but still an outrageous location

Ok, where do I begin? First, we showed up at around 6 pm on a Monday and were seated immediately. (Family of 4). There were a lot of people there already and honestly, after we were seated, there was a wait. The kids ordered chicken fingers and the grilled cheese. My wife and I split the lobster and scallops pasta and the special (basically a mixed bag of seafood in a tomato broth - a cioppino). The food came quickly and I must say that it was delicious. Everything that we ate was great. My only criticism was that the lobster pieces were overcooked. The flavor was there, they were just rubbery. Since the lobster was in bite sized pieces, it would be easy to overcook. Anyhow, I would recommend this place to anyone.

Stopped in over Fathers Day and picked up chowder and of course blueberry muffins to go. Our family have been dining at the Dolphin for over 30 years. I understand progress is necessary but the quality of the product should not be sacrificed. Man those Muffins are a great disappointment. Definitely a different recipe. Remember when the top of the muffin was a little crispy with that cinnamon dusting? And after you peel the muffin off the paper liner you could still scrape off a couple bites off the liner? Well no longer, different and inferior recipe. Not worth craving anymore. I will and many other faithful mourn the lost of the Dolphin. Didn't have to be this way.

We visited the Dolphin Marina & Restraunt for the first time on a Friday evening. The service was good and my family enjoyed their food - especially made Dad who ordered the swordfish special. I ordered the lobster stew and a salad. To say the lobster stew was awful would be an understatement. It was a bowl of unseasoned milk and boiled lobster. My family all tasted it and agreed. It went uneaten at our table. I didn't say anything to our server thinking it likely wasn't worth the trouble. When we got the bill, I was stunned to see the lobster stew was $34! I asked the server to remove it or discount it from the bill and we would ensure we would tip her at the full total regardless - she went and spoke to the manager. The manager then approached our table and, in summary, said that because I didn't say anything, there wasn't much she could do. She also said the server said we ate it - which wasn't true. After many years in the restaraunt industry myself, folks who are spending $200+ on a nice meal are likely not trying to pull a fast one on a local restaraunt to save a buck - which is what it felt like was being inferred. We were all shocked by the manager's response to the issue. She did ultimately remove it from the bill.

Very slow service. Food very good,fresh and well prepared.Service competent but very slow.

Great food. Great view. What's not to like? It will take a few min to make your way to this wonderful restaurant, but it's worth the drive (or boat ride!) Lots if seafood dishes, and even some for those who want steak or chicken, and even veggie options. Reservations for parties of 6 or more. Plenty of room to wait for your table, inside or out. Picnic tables outside on the lawn for those wonderful sunny Maine summer days, on the deck, or in the covered Pavillion. Dessert treats are always a great way to finish.

I confess- only order the lobster stew w/homemade blueberry muffin each of my many visits. Others have their favorites- consistently excellent. We have seen it grow to the new location with unparalleled views. Wonderful place for kids to run about and adults to relish quintessential Maine.

Party of 6. I had a lobster roll for mother's day. No dressing. Basically dry bread with lobster in it. I expected much better. Also a hostess must have come to our table between 7 and 10 times to ask how things were. Wicked annoying. Continuous interruptions. Noise level very high. Should do something for that. Great service and atmosphere. The issues are that the food quality has dropped compared to over a few years ago. Calimari was fake processed meat, absolutely not fresh or real. my haddock was excellent, fresh. mashed potato was very high quality but was cold. green beans excellent. Blueberry muffins still perfect. Dolphin needs to remove “calimari” from their menu, or serve real calimari. i wish the menu said fake processed calimari substitue because would have then ordered the fresh fried clams. party of 6, other plates seemed fine.

Incredible food, service and views regardless of weather. Our anniversary trip left no disappointment. FISH, LOBSTER AND SCALLOPS were tender, flavorful and even onions weren't just diced and sauted but also displayed in small flower petal-like garnish. Sauces brought out perfect seafood taste without overbearing. Thank you.

Delicious food, with a stunning view! I had the beet salad which was delicious. Atmosphere is definitely more on the fine dining side, but still accessible and family friendly.

Amazing restaurant by the water

We had a delightful lunch. Fish chowder was some of the best ever. Simply made, the ingedients were fresh and stood for themselves, not wallowing in an overly thick base. The blueberry muffins were a real treat. Perfect, airy lite crispy on rings. We were greeted in a friendly, sincere manner. Our server was engaging and most attentive. Highly recommend Dolphin Marina and Restaurant.

Great ocean views from every seat in the restaurant

Wonderful waitress, lovely views, but probably the worst fried haddock and fried scallops we have ever had. Five good scallops, the other two were just clumps of fried batter. My fish was fresh, but as with the scallops, not a big portion and the greasiest fried food I ever ever eaten. The meals were shiny from the grease. Went as a treat, but will never go back again.

We had a delicious lunch of fish chowder and a blueberry muffin. It had to have been the best blueberry muffin I've ever had. The view was beautiful.

I went on my birthday and ordered a Caesar salad with a lobster roll sized portion on top. Can you smell freshness? Yes you can! There's a synchronicity between the experienced staff as they float around the dining room. Of course the ocean view is almost panoramic which adds a special touch of its own to enjoy. I would recommend a piece of fresh Maine blueberry pie. Definitely a must visit whenever you’re near the coast.

Came here yesterday with my wife and her parents. My wife had the seafood risotto, which was incredible. I had a tuna dish that was very good. The others had haddock, which I tasted and pretty good as well. We also had calamari as an appetizer, and it might have been the best I've had. Service was excellent. The view was fantastic. The drinks were ok, but the pain killer was by far our favorite cocktail.

Our friend had posted on FB that they ate here, and I'm so glad she did. We wouldn't have heard about this restaurant if she didn't as we're about 1.25 hours away. But it was worth the trip!!! We recommend this restaurant!! The fried clams were the BEST we've had, and believe me we're always looking for a better fried clam, well our search is over! We also had bruschetta, caesar salad, grilled salmon and lobster stew... it was all delicious! Oh! and the blueberry muffins.... what a treat!! Make the trip!!

Food was in large portions every time I've been. Staff is always friendly and prepared for any request or allergy that may arise. Good atmosphere and ocean views, overall pretty good place for dinner.

Loved the staff! The restaurant is nice and clean. I was given a table with a great view of the marina and islands. The food was tasty and plentiful.
