I personally feel this lima ones are pretty overrated and very commercialized. Just wondering, continues to still make tasty wines, but in my opinion, I would prefer to select something commercialized. This facility is nice, with a great showroom for the wines. The last time we were there, it was extremely crowded due to the free wine tastings, and we did not hang around very long. Personally, I do not feel like this is a top winery in door county to revisit.

The wine is very reasonably priced while simultaneously being delicious. Almost never walk out without 5 or 6 bottles.

Friendly staff, great wine in IMO, and priced right compared to some of the other wineries we visited while we were in door county. Should have came here first. But now we will be ordering from here DPW once we are get low again.

I took my mom for her first ever wine tasting to Door Peninsula Winery. We had Josh and he was such a delight! He was very knowledgeable and helped my mom try wines that she would like.

Where can you try five free samples of wine before purchasing? Door Peninsula Winery, that's where! Our server, Tina, was wonderful at making recommendations according to what we told her we like. Since it is our first visit to Door County, we asked about things we should see. Both Tina and Dory (Mama D) gave us a list of things that they thought we would enjoy. Needless to say, we qualified for 10% off on our purchases!

Skip the distillery — not as fun or tasty. The wine tasting is such a great experience! 5 complimentary tastes and you’re on your way to happy town! Our bartender was super fun and helpful. He knew just what to pour next. Busy place, but super fun!

Lots of great wine options & decor. New outdoor seating is nice along with a BBQ food truck. Huge parking lot behind the building. Lots of levels so those who can't do stairs there are elevators.

Door Peninsula is my favorite winery around here. They are friendly, knowledgeable and have a great variety. The store is also organized so efficiently. It's easy to find exactly what you are looking for.

Quite honestly the wine and spirits were expleraily. However there was a private event that did not have a sign. And the man running it was VERY rude yelling that it was a private event before slamming the door in our face. Maybe it would be better if there was a sign indicating that it was a private party. Otherwise, wonderful visit!

Couldn't get my wife to leave this place! OK, I will admit the wine is pretty tasty (even for a beer drinker). Loved the generous samples provided that allowed my wife to try multiple wines before picking the ones she wanted (Bucks in 6). Fudge was awesome!!

Amazing place for wine tasting with amazing wines! Next door is the distillery so you are in one location with both distillery and wine. Wine tasting is complimentary. They have discounts on the number of bottles you purchase. We purchased 6 bottles to get 10% off. They had a wide variety of wines to choose from and very inexpensive based on the various wine tastings we have done in other places outside of DC.

It's also nice to see most of their wines are $12-$13 and most that I tried were delicious. Always a must when in door county.

The mead is sweet, strongly honey-flavored, and amazing. I adore this mead, and will get it whenever I can find it. Outstanding product.

Was a lot there. Wine and distillery. Went for the wine. 5 free tastes. Stand at the bar and taste. Nothing for Gluten free people to nibble on between wines. Made it harder to experience each wine to their fullest. Didn't like any of the 5 so I ordered a glass of another on a leap of faith. Didn't like that one either. Tasted 10 but didn't find any that I really cared for. To have with our glass of wine I went into their fudge and cheese shop and paid for some very over priced cheese curds and meat sticks..pre packaged. We went out to have our wine and snacks on a balcony off the distillery area. Not a great view but was ok. Sooo not the experience we really enjoy. The wine was meh.. But they have a Lot of flavors we didn't try. The staff in the wine department were very good. Staff in the cheese shop pretended you didn't exist. They might have something for you though... It's a matter of taste and style of tasting you like. We won't be back though.

Dog friendly, our pup got a free slice of bread from the food truck and an ice bowl from the bar. Highly recommend the Carlsville Colada. Nachos from the food truck was good too, we requested for extra jalapeños.

They have free wine tasting! Lots of Door Country fruits in the wines. The wines were delicious. We ended up buying a bottle. The staff were friendly but not over-crowding. They have lots of food products and samples too. Would recommend.

The wine tasting is so fun with lots of great wines and ciders! They also have a great store with so many cool things to look at. Loved playing Jenga and the people who work there are so nice and accommodating.

An absolute stop on any Door County trip! Personally I would make it the last stop, just so you can have a little wino break, and to pick up some tasty souvenirs for your loved ones back home there for yourself ,no judgement. Staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and the free tastings was its own little food adventure and wanting to broaden your horizons. For an extra special moment, you can get personalized labels at the winery, was able to make a wedding gift out of it. ;)

If you like fruity wines, this is the place to be. And with five free tastings, it’s hard to beat. We also wanted to try the distillery, but it seemed to be closed for tastings as we didn’t see any employees over there.

I visited after well over ten yrs of ordering cases of wine from DPW and brought my many gift cards to redeem and they knew me!! Can't wait to go back, but, in thee and time I will order my wine .

Do you like sensory experiences? Then boy, oh boy is this the winery for you. Do you like to look at things? Well there are things to look at. Do you like to hear things? There are lots of things to hear. Do you like to touch things? There are plenty of things to touch. Do you like to smell things? You're in luck, this place has things to smell. But most importantly of all, if you like to taste things there are a lot of things to taste here. 5/5 do recommend for a full sensory experience.

Love this place and the atmosphere. Has grown so much through the years... But has kept that family atmosphere!

Free wine tasting! I realy like the cider they have. They have tour at 11:00, 13:00, and 15:00 everyday ($3/person). However, it's not worth to join the tour.

Free wine tasting. Five small glasses of wine. Fudge & olive oil tasting. Worth 30 to 45 minute stop.

Large winery! Has a lot of choices of wine and liquor. Has a nice outdoor space to taste and have drinks. Also has trinks and collectibles to buy and take home. A lot of parking and we didn't have to wait.

Tasting area was very small, tucked in a side room. Do not go if your objective is to taste wine. There was a huge area of wines for sale. We didn't buy any because we could not try any. We went just down the rode to a competitor and had an awesome experience.

Door peninsula is always a favorite stop in Door County. Their fudge is great, their wine is great, their infused oils and vinegars are great, and their small batch alcohols are great!

This was our favorite winery of the four we visited. 5 free wine tastings and all of the bartenders were fun, Chris was the best! Their wine is delicious, especially the blackberry merlot. If you want something unique, try the chocolate cherry and peach mixed together 😍

It is a little "corporate" for a winery in Door County, but if you cannot find a wine here that you like, that means there's something wrong with you...they have 50 or more wines. A little disappointed that the lady who did our tasting had no idea what grapes were in the blended red wines we were tasting (and had no interest in trying to find out other than siding "they're from California or Michigan). ☹️ However, we went out to the pavilion to have a glass of our favorite dry red blend, Sinister, and "awesome Austin" knew what grapes were in every wine!! Austin truly was awesome! He's been there for 5 years and why he, and his knowledge of the wine, is not up in the tasting room is beyond us!! If you get Austin, ask him questions, he loves to talk about the wines!! Cheers Austin!!

Nice brake in your travels. Just stop to taste some wino or even have hard liquors (it is winery and distillery together). If you are driver oh well you will not be able to do it. Tasting is free( 5 different samplers), store well stock not only with wine but also with salsa, mustards, cheese spreads and other yummy food.

Let me begin by saying I am not a wine connoisseur. Door Peninsula Winery has a wide variety of wines from white, reds, fruits, ciders and even mead. Everyone should be able to find one they love. Especially with a free tasting of up to 5 wines. I went home with a chardonay and a mead!

Always a great place to stop and pick up wine

Free tastings for wine, a bunch of olive oils, fudge, and a few dips and mustards, and all of it is delicious. Plus the distillery offers beer and mixed drinks for tasting or purchase, but it's not free. Lovely lounge area too!

This place is Disney World for busy moms and women in general.

Free wine samples, free olive oil samples, and $2 liquor samples. What more could you want from a winery? Even better is that Door Peninsula Winery has a ton of local artisans showcased in their space so it's like a one stop shop on your way in or out of Door County to stock up on gifts. You get five wine samples for free in their winery and the worst part about it is that there are so many to choose from you won't be able to narrow it down! I think you can purchase additional samples but the pours are generous and it might not be the best idea if you plan on hopping around to a few different wineries. You can also sample craft spirits in the distillery area, but those are $2 per sample (still absolutely worth it). And don't forget to walk through the wine for sale area to the back part where they have olive oil samples and tons of other food available for purchase. It isn't the most modern or newest winery in the area, but they know who they are and they wear it perfectly. Definitely do not skip Door Peninsula Winery the next time you're in the area!
