Small little deli with lots to choose from. It can get very chaotic in here as far as ordering because there is no ordering system or calling people by numbers. The staff can also be very rude if you have questions or if it is your first time there. For one chicken sandwich on a Kaiser roll it was almost $6 and then I got another sandwich that was closer to $7.00. Delicious chicken salad and deli meat, but I just wish the staff weren’t so rude. **update: I’ve been here a few times now and this is what I noticed. The line inside is always so long because the people behind the counter are attending to call ahead orders instead of the people in front of them. They have people waiting inside the store for a while without getting service. Once you do get service,the staff is extremely rude and tries to rush you. They do not answer questions at all. **

If you're looking for a family owned business that cranks out some amazing sandwiches, then look no further. I've only ever had the turkey hoagie, and it's one of the best around. Absolutely huge portion with high quality ingredients. Skip the chains and give Durham Deli a try, you will not regret it.

1 week ago I called in an order of 4 pounds of macaroni salad for a party. Today I picked up my order and they gave me 4 pounds of potato salad. My party was ruined. When I called to tell them I was told they didn't check the bag and that was it. I am very disappointed that they can't even get an order right. I will be finding a new deli to go to.

Always a great sandwich and salads. Again trip was worth it. Seafood salad on a kaiser roll, deviled eggs and their great pasta salad. All their salads are good

They treat me like family the owner is like my mother she always brighten up my day and the food is for the soul there no other place I would go I thank god for this deli.

I ordered a large Italian hoagie to take on a trip with me to Myrtle Beach when I opened the hoagie there was no bread on top of the hoagie I ate it without the bread on top but I really needed the bread on the top also

Only thing is when asking for 1/4 lb.of lunchmeat dont want over 1/2 lb.itl just go in trash and i hate wasting food.listen close if unsure ask

Food is amazing, hoagies, macaroni salad, and potatoes salad. My husband always get the Seafood salad, keep up the wonderful work you do.

Sandwhiches are made sloppy, been going there since they opened and the prices are rediculious 10.00 for sandwhich on Rye. Not a inexspesive lunch, I'm about done with this place.

They have great hoagies, roast beef is the best nice and lean cut, and there are also very good of salads (potatoe, mac, seafood) and the staff is very friendly and helpful

The macaroni salad is the best in area. The hoagies have so much meat you could actually buy a roll and make another hoagie and they would both still have plenty of meat.

Don't really know how to rate it really! I ordered a sandwich and later that day I had dyarea! Never had a problem before!

The Hoagie ring is fantastic for parties. Everyone loves them. They are always delicious and you can get half of 1/2 of another which makes it very easy and affordable one hoagie ring feeds 20 people easy The potato salad is absolutely homemade with zero artificial taste

Man do we miss this place. We moved to Arizona 3 years ago and have yet to find a decent hoagie. Not only are the sandwiches sub par, they put cabbage on them instead of lettuce. Durham is the only place I would stand in line 20 minutes for a sandwich.

I ordered/ate a custom hoagie. Mine was New yorker amer cheese, imported ham, dry premium turkey mayo let tom pickles&sweet pepper Wife ordered an italian hoagie. Pros: fresh taste BIG hoagie hefty full of meat soft roll flavorful. Cons 27min wait just to order. Overall my rating is 4.0-4.5 stars. I like Marinucci's better. Wife likes Durham deli better. Still a solid hoagie and hefty one!

Decent Deli salads, rolls and quick needs like chips and pretzels

Pleasant staff - didn't experience any of the issues some folks referenced. Hoagies we OK - needed more seasoning and rolls were not the frshest - but plenty of meat and cheese

This is the best place around for awesome sandwiches and salads. I worked locally and ate lunch here every day for 10+ years then recently (October 2018) my job relocated me to San Diego and now I miss this awesome place every day and when I get the chance to come back home to see my family and friends I make Durham Deli my first stop. The other local places can’t compete with them and even the places in San Diego don’t even come anywhere close at all. Durham Deli and there employees are always polite and friendly and that’s why this place Rocks!

I had the BEST ITALIAN HOAGIE in a very long time, also thier homemade salads are fire. My son also got a turkey hoagie soooo good. Took 2 days to eat them, so packed with meat. Absolutely to die for. Thankyou Duram!!!

Ordered Hoagies and was waiting for the sandwiches to get made. Another lady asked if I needed help and I said no the other lady already took my order. Shortly after that the same lady said I lost the ticket can you give the order again, asked for no onions on one sandwich and it was loaded with onions. Asked for plenty of oil and vinegar on an Italian, got drowned in oil and no vinegar. Quality of hoagies is very standard, nothing special. Prices are accurate, about 7.50 for a small Italian. The ordering seems a bit archaic with mostly ordering and making a sandwich for one or 2 customers at a time. Half an hour to get in and out at 1230 on a weekday lunch, so ya

They have great salads but didnt give it 5 stars cuz they are now charging more if you ask them to slice it thin or shaved which I think is outrageous and then they have a tip jar on the counter. Please.

Usually the best hoagies around! Ordered two small hoagies and one large today. They charged us $48. When, I contacted them about it, I was on hold for a while. Got to listen to the cashier talk about her sleep habits and how she was glad to wake up in her own bed last night! Then, a manager came on and told me they'd contact me tonight if the till was over. I'm not holding my breath. Decided to forget about the $20. Opened my hoagie, and it was not what I ordered. Called back. Girl who answered was ignorant and argued with me about what I ordered. Like I didn't know what I wanted to eat. Unfortunately, I'm gonna take a break from Durham. 😡

Been coming here for more than 25 yrs. One of the best places to get a hoagie at reasonable prices. When everyone else is shrinking products and charging more, Durham deli is keeping the options and prices the same as yesterday. Keep up the great work! Maybe there will be GF options in future. It's hard to find someone who can make a hoagie for less than 23.00 with GF options and without terrible Udi's rolls.
