The food and ambiance is top tier!! When we left, we asked ourselves why we hadn’t eaten there in awhile, because the seafood we had was some of the best we have eaten in years. The prices are a bit higher than other restaurants but the food is so worth it. Dutch’s Daughter is definitely one of the best restaurants in Frederick. I can’t wait to go back and enjoy their stuffed salmon dinner again.

I started eating at this restaurant in 1988, so, I've probably eaten at Dutch's Daughter 150+++ times(maybe 300 times). I just have one question, what the heck happened to you guys?? Crab cakes were so ordinary, I just couldn't believe it.

I went to my 45th high school reunion at Dutch's Daughter. The 2nd floor dining area is where we enjoyed the large banquet hall. A buffet style meal was served that filled the large dinner plate, and the food and service was great. Enjoyed the time there with my high school alum .

I visited DD again and they just outdo themselves. First we went to the Dungeon for about an hour. They had this fried mash potato appetizer, which was amazing. Then we went upstairs for a function and dinner was incredible. I had the chicken Parmesan and it was enough for two. Everyone was friendly.

Split the Dutchmans Seafood platter all was top notch. More than enuf for 2. Had lemon pie - fabulous. Sara was best waitress! Lemon drop drinks for all!

I asked hubby to plan for a romantic date during the weekend and he took me here. This place did not disappoint. Their food is so consistently good - every dish is done to its own perfection, that we know we will definately come back with my parents and in-laws. The service we received was outstanding and I love the old-school type of decor (some on reddit may say it is not what they want but honestly, it matches really well with what they do). Call to make your reservation, and come in on time. You will find yourself enjoying this place like many of the clearly-returning boomer couples (we are in our 30s) that we saw on their date night here!

Delicious! Love the atmosphere and esthetic. Service was amazing, very knowledgeable on the menu. Food was the real star. The Brie appetizer was beautiful and great wany to start off the meal. The crab cakes have such large chunks and little filler. The seafood was fresh, sweet, and cooked to perfection! A must!

I was fortunate to experience the Sunday brunch when a couple canceled their reservations. The brunch was amazing and I'm looking forward to returning. Ordered crabcakes to go, can I say worth every penny. Chunks of crabs throughout.

If you are looking for fine dining, then this is the place. It is a bit pricey, but worth it. The food selection is terrific, the food is delicious, and the service is impeccable. All this and a great atmosphere make for a wonderful night out. Our server, Courtney, was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable and had a great sense of timing.

Amazing service, food and vibes. My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday dinner and I was extremely impressed with how well our server took care of us and how good the food was. Yes, on the expensive side, but you are paying for quality of food and also very decent size portions. We both have significant leftovers and we are not complaining. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for more than a casual night out.

EVERYTHING on the menu is fantastic! I go here 3 or 4 times a year, and only for special occasions. I have had or tried just about everything on the menu, and it's all FANTASTIC! The serves are on point, and even if the restaurant is full make you feel like you're the only person there. Always on point.

We were a party of seven celebrating my youngest grandson's 18th birthday. Excellent wait staff, delicious food, and wonderful ambiance.

Exceptional service and atmosphere with a well-rounded menu. Enjoyed the sweet potato muffins that came with our meal. One of the best onion soups my mother has had in a while. We wanted dessert; however, we both ended up taking half of our meal home. We will be back. I judge a lot of restaurants by the cleanliness of their bathrooms. This one was spotless and had cloth hand towels. We will be back. Next time, we will have soup and dessert.

Very nice and classy spot for seafood. I enjoyed the salmon with mixed vegetables and a Caesar salad. The server was attentive and prompt, and the atmosphere was elegant. I understand there is a downstairs area that is more casual, but we opted to dine on the main floor. We enjoyed it very much!

Birthday party excellence! I was meet by the hostess and then walked to our party room. The room was set perfectly for our group of 30-40. We even had access to the TV to run a slideshow. The wait staff was super attentive taking care of all guests with their liquid and meal needs. The kitchen was on time serving individual meals we ordered off the menu. The crab dip and the creamy crab soup was out of this world, and I highly recommend. Everyone enjoyed their meals most had some leftovers to take home. Can’t wait to travel back to Md for another meal here.

Dutch's is a Frederick institution! Brunch was great, a buffet with lots of options, even for vegetarians. Lots of sweet and savory options, and a good mix of breakfast and lunch

We had 60+ people for my aunt’s Celebration of Life. Jeff the event coordinator was great to work with. Parking was easy. Room was beautiful. Food was delicious, especially the spicy meatballs. Wait staff & bartenders were excellent. Highly recommend!

I took my boyfriend for his birthday. Customer service was great I called to make changes last minute and sit in the dungeon instead of the patio due to heat and they were able to accommodate. I got the crab cakes and he got the dutches platter. Crab cakes were good seasoned well. The dutches platter was good the lobster a bit bland but I’m guessing that’s cause it’s broiled. The scallops were delicious and meaty. Twice baked potato was excellent. Caesar salad was good(never had a boiled egg with a Caesar salad but enjoyed) Our meal was $160. Our server was great I love how they put the leftovers away for you.

My husband and I agree this is certainly have one of the best restaurants we have been to. The food was amazing, the service was spectacular from the front desk staff to the server, Shatara. The ambiance was breathtaking (we loved the different locations to eat like the patio, the dungeon, and separate rooms for intimate experiences), the drinks were superb – we both had the Old Fashion. We have been to several restaurants in the Baltimore are such a Capital Grill, Morton, Ruths Chris and most recently The Ruxton and this restaurant supersedes ALL of them without a doubt – in quality, atmosphere, service, presentation and detail, pricing, etc. It is well worth the hour drive from Baltimore for us for any occasion.

Thee best restaurant in the city of Frederick! The food is excellent! Everything is good! The raw oysters, crab dip, crab soup, and crab cakes are a few of my favorites. I love it here, food and service always exceptional! 10/10 I will always return.

Great food and great atmosphere.

Dutches is my go to spot for special occasions. They have phenomenal steak, pork chops, seafood and chicken. Wow the prices are high. While the prices are high, the portions are very generous. And each entrée comes with a salad and potato. The service at Dutchess is unmatched. Their servers are extremely knowledgeable about the men. They also check in frequently without being intrusive. It’s a must for any special occasion, including anniversaries, promotions, and birthday celebrations.

Sunday Brunch might just be the perfect introduction to the best restaurant you’ve never been to before! If you’re not from around here, you might consider moving once you realize that the great food is simply just one of the results of the obvious mission to deliver world class service. This was our first time here, and with 4 picky kids to feed, there was something for each of them. DO NOT miss the cream of crab soup, declared the best soup ever by 3 out of 4 kids, and myself! The staff is the clear difference, and Kate was all smiles, backed up with a clear knowledge of the food and a sincere attention to our experience. Thank you all for a great Sunday afternoon!

We booked a small wedding reception dinner at Dutch's Daughter and were exceptionally happy with the process of reserving the space, choosing menu and drink items, and the accommodations. Our server staff was amazing. Thanks so much for making it a night to remember.

Delicious food and great environment

Quality restaurant worth the money. Filet cooked perfectly and flavored so well. Crab cake hardly had any filler and amazing taste. Ate in “the dungeon”, would recommend.

Dutch’s Daughter is a fantastic place to dine. We met family at the restaurant and experienced a fantastic luncheon. Our server Brandon was a very polished and knowledgeable server. He was a standout with his charming personality . We were so pleased with our delicious meals. The menu is unique with tasty ways to serve their crab cakes. The meal was exceptionally mouthwatering. We all enjoyed our luncheon with the inviting atmosphere.

We're here in Frederick for training, and our instructor mentioned this restaurant. I can't wait to go back to training tomorrow and let him know this was an outstanding selection. Everyone was happy with their choices they made from their appetizers to their main entrées. I had the Stuffed /Jumbo Lumped Crab Meat Shrimp. Great taste and very filling. The mixed drinks weren't watered down. No military discount!!!

If you want fine dining and excellent food and customer service, along with atmosphere, this is the place to be. The seafood is so Fresh, like they caught it out back. The customer service is top notch. 5 stars in my book.

Absolutely loved this place, delicious appetizers . We got the shrimp cocktails, we had burgers , crab soup and sandwiches, everything was perfect and wonderful. Staff was accommodating and so nice. Loved it . Beautiful outdoor patio we sat on .

Food was just okay, very expensive for okay food though, and the portions aren't as large as they used to be back in the day.

This place is always amazing!! Food was so delicious, service was second to none, and just a great Father’s Day meal.

The food is very good, the crabcakes I had were awesome, but this place is way too expensive for what it is, I've been to Michelin starred restaraunts that are vastly cheaper than this. Cheapest dinner option is somewhere in the 30 dollar range, with everything that isn't a sandwich being in the 60-85 dollar range, it's good, but for the price I'd rather go to thatcher and rye.

This was the second time here, and the food just gets better and better.

Our Father’s Day brunch was the bomb!

We had a reservation for the patio and called last minute to move inside because of potential storms and they were able to accommodate us in the Dungeon, Jared was our server and he was great! A member of our party has celiac and is gluten free and he was very attentive and made sure all of the food was gluten free (including the crab cakes!)

Best fine dining in the region!

Great food and service. I ate a Pork Chop it was so good and juicy. Definitely would eat it again! Sat in the underground place it was so nice.

Great service and very good food

The food was amazing a little too dark in the dungeon, the hostess when we entered was not very friendly, kind of looked down at us as if we didnt belong. The wait staff were great no complaints at all with them. They were great with remembering what each of our big parties had and where our tickets went with no issues. Loved, loved the food.

My parents and my daughter came in this evening and had dinner. I personally wanted tot thank you for the amazing service given to them. Especially once your staff learned they came as a final dinner before my leaves for the Army. So from the bottom of my heart thank you!!!!!!

Drove up from Staunton, VA to have lunch with my sister. Definitely worth the trip! Try the crab cakes.

Order the beef. Medallions which came out perfect for me, nice pink inside,tender and moist. The salad served had a delicious sauce. The chocolate mousse pie was good but nothing special. We visited the dungeon which is pretty interesting. Wouldn't mind going there for a drink or dinner.

DD’s attention to detail is unsurpassed. Refined, yet unpretentious, their level of consistency is a model we should all strive to follow in life. There’s a reason people travel from all over the region and world to eat here.

Overall great. The only thing which I did not like was the reception lady’s behavior as she did not tell us different seating options they have - patio, lower level and upper level but she did provided that info to next couple after us which I found weird. Every customer should be treated the same.

Nice place for lunch. I ate in the more casual attire area of the “ dungeon “. Fantastic service. Amazing sweet potato muffins. Meh Cosmo & poor selection of Cab wines so opted for beer. I had the chicken Chesapeake which was good. I’ d return if it weren’t for the inflated prices ( much more than other local restaurants.) this place could make the prices more affordable for the quality of the food.

This is the best place for crab dip, amazing crab cakes, and everything seafood. Love eating in the dungeon around back for a more casual setting. A must stop when visiting home for me!

Finally visited Dutch’s Daughter after hearing about it most of my life - It lived up to the hype. Delicious cream of crab soup, possibly the best I ever had. Shrimp tacos were perfectly breaded, too. Even the bread before the meal was a hit with our family! Have to give a shout out to our server, too. Tristan worked incredibly hard, anticipated any need we might need, kept up with drink refills, helped box up our meal. One of the best lunches out I’ve had in ages! Thank you!

Loved this site. Ate dinner after a long day of fishing on the Potomac and this was just most pleasing. The staff the food and the atmosphere will get me back here.

The food was okay but nothing special. We had s reservation and they only gave us one waiter for 14 people , so the service was very slow. I had to get up and look for staff twice.

We decided to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary at Dutch's Daughter. We wanted a special place for a special occasion, and the Dutch's Daughter did not disappoint. We sat in the Dungeon, a bar/restaurant area that is cozy with 2 fireplaces. We were just a little over dressed for the Dungeon, so if you want to get dressed up, I suggest sitting upstairs. The food and service were excellent. Cocktails were first, Manhatran with Woodford Reserve for me and Bulleit on the rocks for my husband. The Manhattan was perfect. For dinner, my husband ordered the crab cakes, and I ordered the filet mignon. We were brought out a dessert for our celebration, which was a very nice surprise. Wonderful dinner. Definitely a $$$$ restaurant. We will be repeat customers.

Best kept secret in Frederick! My first time there for Sunday Brunch. It was awesome! The staff were sooo nice and accommodating and the food was off the chain delicious 😋, I will definitely go back--soon.
