Wonderful staff!! This was my first visit looking for some ox tails and this market not only had the meats that I need but they were very pretty and fresh!! Will shop here again

I’ve been going to eastern market of canton for a year now once a month , the customer service is always great and the meat is always fresh. Antonio was great !

Last Sat our Son & SIL showed up at Eastern Mrkt right as the door was being locked. However, the employee opted to not only reopen but also made up 20+ chicken & beef shish kabobs for them. Talk about stellar customer service!! Well played & well trained and our dinner was delicious! Big thank you to Marv & his team!! *Side note- anyone looking for work, Eastern Mrkt is hiring!

Quite a nice meat selection, but a non-trivial portion of the produce was rotten or moldy Edit: The bundle of asparagus I purchased had mold spots on over half the stalks. Every head of garlic I squeezed was soft. The ginger root was so withered as to be mummified.

What a great market! The staff is super friendly, eager to offer assistance, service is fast, and the meat counter is well stocked with a large variety of beautiful meats! We will be back.

just visited this eastern market shop for the first time and am very impressed with the selection, freshness, variety and good selection of different meats. Today was italian sausage day and the store owners kids were cooking and handing out samples. very nice atmosphere and we will definately shop there again. Jack & Silvana Wilks

I really like this very clean,fresh veggies and fruit,and the meats are 😃👍,but I bought some bacon 2 days,ago n the bacon is not pork bacon,I don't know what is ,my son won't eat the food,I spent about 40 dollars on this bacon,I will still shop here except for the bacon,I love pork bacon,but this was awful.

Nice store,but I bought 40 dollars worth of bacon 🥓 and it's awful 😔😔😞 I love I dint say beef or pork I bought some before and it was good as hell I think I was given the wrong kind of bacon it awful n yes it was with cash I have to wait to get some pork bacon 🥓🥓🥓,I'm very upset about this.

Went here for some holiday favorites. The food was always fresh and the prices were always fair and Marvin is an awesome person that takes care of his customers.

Eastern Market of Canton I have been there thrice within a couple of weeks. They sell choice beef and a small selection of 28 day aged selection. They have a very beautiful meat counter with beef, pork, and chicken. There is also a cooler of frozen seafood. Additionally, they have a selection of produce and some groceries. The staff at the meat counter is very friendly and knowledgeable. My first time there, I asked for i his cousin into the market so they could choose their own steaks. They were kind and patient. I appreciate this. I highly recommend this butcher shop for your Choice meat needs

The family that used to own Maria's owns this. That speaks for itself, I refuse to give them any money or say anything nice after they screwed so many people out of pay. Hiring them, working for 2 weeks then getting rid of them saying "that was just training, which is unpaid" Marvin, you know damn well what I'm talking about. I also remember when you guys claimed you were Italian lol. Also funny you guys lost Maria's AND vintage from bad business decisions

I come from New York, so my friends and coworkers went out to lunch at delicatens. Now there is a place that sold me the most delicious corned beef that tops New York City, which is hard in Michigan. I went to this store first time on Saturday, and I must say this will be my to go for all meat that I need , the staff was great 👍 very nice and fast service , thank you !!!

I came here once on a whim ‘cause a friend recommended it. I went and was absolutely blown away by the service and attentiveness/care. As soon as you walk in the door someone says “welcome to eastern market” and its said everytime the door opens with just as much sincerity which was awesome. Needless to say I’ve been back many of times since They have tons of meat options, deli salads/pasta and meats cheeses that are sliceable. They answer any questions you have on the anything in the store, if an employee doesn’t know the answer they ask someone else to get you more information instead of some bs response like “uh I dont know” or “Sure?”. When you pick out stuff from the counters they will take it up front to the register for you so you don’t need to hold a basket or try to juggle the stuff in your hands. The store is small around the size of a 7/11 so carts aren’t really practical here. I HIGHLY recommend the meat, (sausages, pork chops, city chicken, beef) Alberts pasties from the deli counter (beef or chicken) (I usually buy 3 of each at a time 😅 they make fantastic meals in a hurry!) The pies they have are usually by check out or below the meat counter on a small rack. Apple or apple crumble are 🤤 (price can be a bit discouraging but so worth it! )

Ask for the dry aged Delmonico!

Wigleys Corned Beef is a must and Eastern Market of Canton is my go-to and referral to family and friends.

Today was my FIRST time at the Eastern Market of Canton.... And I ABSOLUTELY LOVED it!! The CUSTOMER SERVICE is A-1!!!!! From Mr. Tim to EACH of the staff (whose names I was unable to get-- however YOU were AAAAAAAAMAZING!!!!)... It was REFRESHING to be able to walk into the store... Be GENUINELY GREETED with a WELCOME and a SMILE.... THAT let me know I HAD to purchase SOMETHING!!🤣... Well, the meat prices were WAY better than the prices at the LARGER grocery stores... To point, I purchased 2lbs EACH of Ground Turkey, Ground Chuck ANNNNND a Chuck Roast!!! All for UNDER $40.!... Yep.... I'm sold! Like I told you all in the store today--- It was my First time today... However, WON'T be my last!!!! Thank you ALL!!! Thank you for a GREAT first experience!!!💕 I'll see you again soon!!!

I have been meaning to write a review for quite awhile now due to the great service I always receive here. The staff is always so kind and helpful. I also enjoy the fact that service is fast and they even offer online ordering so your meats/other items are ready for you when you arrive if you prefer to order this way. I have since moved from the area but still make special trips to get all of my meats at this market. Well worth it!

Hi my name is Janine this family had helped me out and my family were struggling to put food on the table.They gave me a food basket for Thanksgiving and Christmas ☃️ I will never forget what they did for my Family I just cryed knowing that they really cared. I came here because of the ads I saw for their meat prices- I found this place to have everything that I need ( meat- deli) and the prices were very fair- ( quality counts for something) - my husband and I eat deli sandwiches during the week and to find a deli that actually has kept reasonable prices that we can afford, is amazing! I’m praying they don’t see this review and then raise their prices😁 The meat items seem of high quality. I’m pretty fussy about what I buy and I’ve never had a bad experience with their chicken, steaks, pork chops… unlike some other markets, they trim their chicken breast very nicely so that you aren’t getting a lot of fat and paying for that waste. They also have chicken thighs and they are trimmed very nicely. We noticed that when we prepare the chicken we do not get a lot of moisture cooking off of the meat. They have whole chickens that they will cut up into fryer pieces for you. Again, their prices are very reasonable- The service is also incredible! They are super friendly and very accommodating. I wanted a couple 1 inch ribeyes and the guy behind the counter offered to cut a 2 incher in half, before I even asked- Another huge plus! The guy offered to clip my wings for me into flats and drummies. I wanted a boneless turkey breast and he happily informed me that if I called him 24 hours in advance he would debone it for me- I even heard another person offer to butterfly the chicken breast for a customer and I was so impressed! Also great variety! I actually saw Hog Maws, beef cheek, ox tails… The only thing that gets a little tricky in navigating this place is there doesn’t seem to be any prices on their canned goods or other grocery items. And I always feel so bad and don’t want to constantly ask them for prices… but when you’re on a budget you have to know so you don’t overspend😁 They open early which is nice because I’m an early bird👵🏻😄 I have been going here for the past 7 months and have never had a bad experience-

Eastern market of Canton- Everytime I have been there I am in awe. Each time I leave there, I wonder how they have such excellent people. I am not a regular customer nor spend a lot. I called hoping they were open later n had corned beef. Told appologized that I was probably going to arrive with 3 minutes of closing. I made up and when I get there and ask the corned beef the woman asked me all are you the one that called and I said yes and she said yeah we were going to stay open an extra 5 or 10 minutes hey, if you didn't get here by 7. She had most perfect cut of corned beef picked out for me and they're just amazing thank you guys so much! My Momma bear and I in younger days would go to Eastern Market in Detroit before all the holidays. I would probably not be able to keep our meal family traditions alive since our Momma bear passed. - or would have to settle for Kroger corned beef (which ..why bother, right!?) If it was not for them my family's traditional meals would suck. Beyond that the customer service and people make you want to quit your job and work there.

Great place to get meat and seafood. Don't for get to grab a wiggley's corned beef. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Great deli! Try their chicken salad and pico de Gallo. If you can't handle hot salsa, move along cause it's got a bite 🌶 I've also gotten bones for my dog...she loves them.

I love it there. They pleasantly welcome everyone. They are helpful and have things you didn't even know you wanted. Good customer service goes a long way. I pass several meat markets to get to them.
