Tried to get food here 2 times this week and it says open on Google but when we drive there it's closed. No signs saying anything about being closed or anything. What's going on with this place

Great portions even better food. If you're on the east side and don't come here to eat youre missing out So it’s been over a year since my review. Portion sizes are still large, food quality and flavor is amazing. Nolan (the owner) is always friendly with great service. My go to spot for Hawaiian food. The mochiko chicken is my go to and is always beautifully golden fried and pairs perfect with the Mac salad and rice. New tables in the food cart area make it handy to sit down and eat at

This was my first time coming here with my husband. The owner is super nice and welcoming! The food is amazing and the Mac salad is out of this world 🙌🏽 BEST HAWAIIAN FOOD EVER! Definitely recommend everyone to come here .

LITERALLY TO DIE FOR. I called and the owner was so nice and even texted me when it was ready! The food was so good me and my coworkers were dying over how good it was. Trust me if it’s busy it’s worth the wait.

EAT HERE. Flavors were amazing with the guava chicken!!! Came with rice, Mac salad and this homemade bbq type sauce on the side. Mac salad wasn’t mayonasey and heavy like most Mac sad and paired so well with all the other flavors. Will DEFINITELY be back to try other stuff on the menu. This was a random stop based off yelp reviews - you won’t be disappointed! Located off 82nd, smaller parking lot.

Wow wow wow. The pictures made me want the food, the owners made me really excited for the food and the food itself was phenomenal! I would recommend this place to anyone who likes any sort of bbq.

So I show up around 2 on a Friday and he’s out of all the chicken. He could tell by the look on my face that I was disappointed (not necessarily with the chx being out, people dig this place and bought him out, but with how my week and day had been going) and he gave me a huge portion of everything else and wouldn’t take my money. Aside from this man being extremely generous…. THE FOOD WAS FRICKIN AWESOME!!! When I’m back in town I will most definitely be visiting here again and repaying the kindness. Thank you so much not just for the food but your act of kindness changed my day. Much love to this place

Food is unbelievably good and the guy who runs it is super chill, price is generous this is a must try place best authentic Hawaiian food around.

🤟 So so so so so GOOD. Nowhere in Portland has the authentic, tasty, and did I mention huge portions like this awesome place has. For the negative comments on it being closed. So he sells till he's sold out everyday he is open. Follow him on Instagram & Facebook. I believe there you can get a more accurate closed time each day. I drive from NortEast Portland myself. It's so worth it.

Update: I've eaten here more than anywhere else since moving to Portland. Nolan is amazing, 11/10 human. ‼️Make sure you check their schedule on Instagram before you go!‼️ Absolutely absurd Hawaiian food, you literally cannot miss with anything off the menu. The kalua pig is an 100/10, just melts in your mouth, and the Mac salad is 🤌🏻🤌🏻, creamiest and best I've ever had. The man in charge is a delight, music is top-tier, lots of parking near the truck. Don't walk, run.

The food is great. The guy there is one of the friendliest people I have ever met. The service was fast, the portions are huge, and their hours are easy to find on their Instagram. I'm excited to have discovered this place and looking forward to trying more of the menu :)

We've tried a lot of Hawaiian food in Portland, and this is the best we've had! The guy that runs the place is really nice. We've tried the guava chicken, mochiko chicken and kalua pork and it is all excellent. Huge portions too!

BEST HAWAIIAN FOOD IN OREGON!!! I moved to Oregon about 4 years ago and I had a hard time finding Hawaiian/local food that alleviated my homesickness. One day I saw Iolani’s plate lunch’s Instagram account and decided to try it out with my boyfriend. Their food is broke da mouth good 🤩 anytime I need a lau lau or a pastelle stew fix, Iolani’s Plate Lunch is my go to. The owner and his wife are both so sweet and it really warms my heart to see them succeed selling the comfort food I missed so much. Since they are a small business, I highly recommended keeping yourself updated on their Instagram on what their special is and if they will be open or not on a certain day!

Great food! We got the mix plate with kalua pig and mochiko chicken. The portion was HUGE and fed two easily! The owner was very friendly and service was very fast. Definitely worth the visit.

Only reason why this place didn't get across the board 5 stara was because it's outside appearance at the time made it difficult to find. That could be seen as a positive because thise who know...KNOW! THIS FOOD IS FABULOUS!!

Definitely worth a visit, and just as good as anything you could find on the islands. A plate is more than enough to fill you up and fairly priced. This is a new favorite and I will be back for more guava chicken.

Fantastic food, got the mixed plate of chicken and pork for a couple of guys I work with and had to steal some of theirs even though I’d (mistakenly) already eaten elsewhere an hour before. No worries, as the portions were very healthy, and the conversation was great. Iolani is a hell of a guy, do yourself a favor and check it! 🤙👌👍

This place has been on my list of food spots for a while and I’m SO glad I went today! It’s so hard to find good Hawaiian food in the area and this place is the best and reminds me of the island. The best Mac/potato salad, huge portions, and the owner is the best—I mentioned wanting to try the mochiko chicken next time and he tossed in a few pieces in my plate, it was the best surprise. Can’t wait to go back!

The best Hawaiian food I've ever had. The shoyu chicken was so tender and flavorful. The mochiko chicken was ridiculously perfect, I don't have words. The rice was perfect, fluffy and sticky. The kalua pig, do not skip on this, it's so salty but perfectly balanced. The mac/potato salad was dead on perfection. So good. The owner was so kind and generous. Don't walk, run to this food cart!!!

This brotha has been taking care of me and my cousins at PCC for a long while now. We don't know what lunch would be without him. I cant go a week without his mac salad and spam musubi. Big thumbs up fam

Oh my gosh, just stumbled on this spot, tried the kahlua pork and the guava chicken both amazing 🙌🙌🙌 the sauce was killer, the Mac salad (not usually my thing) fantastic as well, huge portions too. And the people could not have been more friendly, having now tried it I would've gladly paid twice as much for this food.
