I placed an order, went to pick it up, told them my name, got my food, the bill was $48, I leave and im.in wayne at this point when I realized they gave me the wrong order, that's never happened before, I called them and they were aware I got the wrong order, so I drove back to passaic, it took me awhile to find parking, I get inside and hand them back the wrong order they gave me....and they had the nerve to tell me my order is more money, they actually charged me more, after all that...it's messed up

I would suggest dining in for the freshest food tasting experience… the fries are perfect as soon as they bring them to you and the chicken nicely seasoned. Good cooks, good waiters and great atmosphere. Absolutely recommend! :)

Used to be a nice mom and pop place with great food . Food is okay and the service is disgusting . Especially over the phone they answer say they’re closed and hang up without even waiting for a response . I’m just ordering from Lena y carbon they’re at least nicer and the lomo is better .

Avoid this place service is atrocious. The owner should really look into the older lady answering phone calls because she literally doesn't care to take any orders for pickup. She just kept complaining about not hearing me, and then she said she did hear me, but I just said the order incorrectly, and she couldn't keep correcting my order because she ran out of space. When i clarified the order, she got mad again and argued about how many times am i going to change it. I only changed the ceviche mixto to ceviche de pescado. She also kept cutting me off saying is that all?" Is that all? Over and over like I couldn't breathe before getting a word in. She was extremely rude, and I really tried to be patient, but she was just horrible. Then I told her I decided to go to another Peruvian restaurant since she kept laughing saying she couldn't hear me bc she had so many client's calling she could careless about my order and didn't let me order food here bc of her mood I suppose.

Place was ok . There are better places. It was annoying while you eat people walk up to yoir table and try to sell you things. Definitely won't go back because of the poor quality food....Lena y Carbon has better quality food.

NO VUELVO JAMÁS!

Price has increased everywhere. Still a good place for take out despite uptick in price. Flavor not what it used to be, but still delicious food.

Bad experience Mala experiencia La crema des la papa a la huancaina no sabía a queso ni nada a lo parecido. Sabia y parecía una especie de cremas de queso amarillo. El Ceviche de pescado estaba súper recontra helado, no tenía sabor. El Arroz Chaufa le faltaba sabor. El Rocoto estaba aguado sin sabor a rocoto. camel toe‘s El pollo fue lo uno rico.

Place is not as good as it used to be. Before I go into the negatives I want to say the Chaufa de mariscos is good. Service has not been good since before the pandemic. Nonetheless I gave them another try yesterday. I tried to get my server’s attention and not only did he notice and signal that he would be there in a bit, but proceeded to attend some other tables and then started lounging around the waiting area. I understand if you are busy serving other tables but for me to see you lounging around chilling at the front with your coworkers like I wasn’t trying to get your attention is unacceptable. After that interaction with my server he did not come back to my table until it was time to ask for the check, and that was only because the man who I’d assume is the owner asked if I needed anything and sent him over. Once I realized my server was not coming back I was able to flag down a busser who placed an additional order, and brought it out to my table. Aside from that the menu items have become more limited since covid. Menu says 1/2 a chicken with a side selection of choice but the you can only choose between fries, rice, and salad whereas before you could pick any of the sides. Honestly, if I were to eat here again I would only order the chaufa de mariscos and it would be to go.

Ordered Lomo and papa huancaina. Both were bland ,lacking flavor and seasoning. One of three orders had minimal meat with mostly fries. I feel like I was taken . Never again.

All I can say is this place used to be the spot it was great because it had indoor dining which it does not have anymore I do not recommend this place anymore due to the fact that they are not as friendly they do not let you use their bathroom the prices are super high. It used to be great the prices used to be great too now don't go blaming the pandemic because there's still other places that did go up but nowhere near as high as they did. Would love to give this place more stars if they went back to their old ways maybe it's a different owner I don't know. Unfortunately I could only give this place to Stars because the food is good but the prices are not the customer service is not and there is no dining in. Lower your prices allow dining in allow bathroom usage for paying customers and most of all have much better customer service.

The food doesn't taste the same anymore. The chaufa is not the same chaufa they use to sell 15 years ago. Chicken taste needs a re-do.

Ordered over the phone, they tell you 20 minutes and when you get there to pick up your order, you still have to wait an additional 30 minutes. So what's the sense of ordering over the phone, if your food is not ready.

Food was great and fresh. They feed your family with one serving... literally.

This is an old favorite since they opened about 20 years ago. The food is amazing. My go to options are the Pollo a la brasa (rotisserie chicken) is flavorful and juicy, the chaufa mixto (beef and chicken mixed with Hispanic fried rice) has a healthy amount of chicken and beef but not drowning it out with rice, and I can't forget about the chicha morada (Purple corn juice) to round out the meal. Add some of that green hot sauce and you will not regret the trip.

Love the food here. The are very fast and very clean. Food is always tasty. Only issue i have is the papa a la huancaína is served cold and is a little spicy. I like it hot and mild. Pollo ala brasa is delicious. So I the Lomo saltada.

It used to be one of my favorites, however with the years the quality of the food has changes and unfortunately not for the best, It depends on the chef that is there that day. The food can taste slightly burned, smoked (ahumada). The customer service is good though.

Food is great and tasty but this was my second time there, honestly the first time I went, I really didn’t pay to much attention but this time definitely saw some tables not well clean, floor was super dirty, there were food under some tables, things that if you really look at it, it would be nasty to eat inside and two of the guys were just sitting there like if they had nothing to do. I won’t go back again just for that.

I have been to this restaurant over the years and the food is fantastic. The only reason I'm giving this place less stars is for the way I get stared at by the women who take my order. I don't know if it's a racist vibe I'm getting but it feels offensive and rude. I'm 100% Latin by blood. And if I'm paying for your service I expect respect like you do as a sales person. Customer service is a huge pet peeve of mine. You treat me with professionalism and I will always return the favor as a client. Not sure I want to come back here. Not the first time it's happened.
