Greed has taken over this place, up their prices and lowered their portions, they started charging for chips and salsa first Mexican restaurant to do that out of at least 30 Mexican restaurants we’ve been to. Want to know the saddest thing about the owners? **If a server gets something wrong or a person sends back a plate the owner MAKES THE SERVER PAY FOR IT we saw it first hand** Very sad, they smile at you and so does the owner woman that cooks but they belittle you and see you as dollar signs. Snapper taste amazing but their portions have gotten smaller they charge you red snapper price for a lane snapper which should not be priced the same as the lane snapper.

Good price and great quality and good portion sizes

The only wrong thing with this place is the lack of parking

When you go to this spot. Order fish and shrimp ceviche and finish it with their fried Fish that comes with a delicious sauce. Trust me you won't regret it.

The girls are not at all attentive to the customer, they gather in groups to chatter and we spend 20 minutes trying to call them to please come to the table, and nothing. After a while they were annoying

If you go by outside appearances you'll probably drive by this establishment and not stop. It's not a great-looking place but once you step inside it's a completely different scenario. The food is amazing, the service is very good and quick, and the atmosphere is fun and in a family-friendly setting.

It is a great casual place to eat Mexican seafood. Not expensive with enough portion size. The service is over the top. The location is not the best, parking is limited, but it wasn't busy when I dined in. Great micheladas!

We love this place food and drink are really good. Mexican decoration is pretty, but sometimes, to get the whole Mexican vibe, they should play Mexican music as their background.

It is a cozy little place, it is distinguished by the quality of the menu, its preparation and customer service makes the difference. That day even the Manager of the site accommodated us, told us about the History of the site and its roots in Puerto Vallarta in 🇲🇽 It was a Saturday but the entry was very fast, they were very attentive, how was the fish 🐟? ! Don't expect me to tell you! ! I recommend it to you!!!

The place isn't very big in size, but the food certainly makes up for it. As someone who isn't a big fan of seafood and was dragged along to eat here, I actually enjoyed it and would definitely return. The food option names are in Spanish, but the descriptions are in English, so you're fine on either front. (Don't worry, there are non-seafood options, too.)

Yum! One of my fav places for Mexican seafood! Little on the pricier side but it is seafood, all other dishes are priced fairly. Nice servers and the owner is usually there helping which is nice!! One thing I didn’t like is that they started to charge for the chips and salsa which used to be free. If you do try this place parking can be a little tricky.

I was welcomed by Mr. Horacio, very nice and friendly person. He offered me the best place to seat and enjoy my time. The food was spectacular, and I personally recommend the fish tacos! I really enjoyed seen everyone enjoying the food and drinks. Mr. Horacio came asked how everything was going and I found out That he is the “owner” of the restaurant. Listen everybody this place sells a red snapper meal that is great you must try it it's delicious, season perfect comes with two sides I love it thanks El Puerto . I will be coming back for the larger snapper and by the way the snappers

Don’t rush by because you’ll miss it. The parking isn’t terrible but can be challenging. The seating is indoors and yes the chairs outside are for waiting. The place is very popular! The service is stellar. Very attentive. The drinks are delish.

Ceviche seems to be a little old the last three or four times I've been there and I always ask for no avocados because my wife is allergic to it and I still have to pay for something I didn't want on my food and it sure takes a long time for your order for something that's already been sitting in the fridge. P. S. I use to come atleast three times a week but live in the neighborhood so attempted to give them another try but same results so I'm reaching out to express my myself about my experiences with your establishment. But most of the other stuff is pretty good for the most part. 💡

After so many suggestions Came to dine in and after ordering the fajitas trio, shrimp in a mojo sauce and a margarita, we were disappointed in the flavor of the food. We didn’t even finish the margarita. Service however, was good. We were served by Silvia.

Ok, if you're in the mood for great food in a divey setting, this place is great. This was really my first experience with Mexican seafood, and I want more of it! Their default "fish" is a firm white fish fillet that takes on the flavor of their seasoning. It's always tender, never overcooked. I am a pescatarian and often only get to eat shrimp when eating Mexican food. I love the variety of fish dishes. The Seafood soup and the fish fajitas are my favorite. The beans could use somw extra seasoning for my preference, but they are pretty good when you add some salt and or salsa to them. Margaritas are good, and if you like Hispanic sodas, they have a wide selection. The queso is a tasty family favorite. Guacamole is always fresh, creamy, and flavorful. Chips are homemade. The traditional fare is available and always smells great. I just haven't had it.

I ve lived in Princeton and US 1 area for 3+ years and this Mexican restaurant it's s been on my radar for that amount of time and I always have said to my self to go and eat there but I've postpone a visit. All that changed the dark stormy night of 6/24/2023. I saw the opportunity to go there.A decision I will always cherish. Going in, parking is easy. Once inside we were greeted warmly. Inside was medium size crowded. Our server a pretty young girl named Gretchent made our first visit very nice and helped us make a quick decision on dinner, which consisted of a mixed sizzling fajitas Tex Mex and a Seafood rice giant platter. Drinks we had House Margarita and Amber Dos Equis beer. The food and drinks are all heavenly. Couldn't ask for better. I highly recommend Puerto the Vallarta to everyone and you won't regret it .all worth it. Please support small businesses and try this Great restaurant. Thanks.

Finally get to post something about this place! Delicious food, always so yummy to get to eat when around the neighborhood. For new Comers, the classic burrito or seafood rice (BIG PORTION) Recently they have renovated the place with more security and hurricane window/doors now!

De entrada la amabilidad del señor que nos recibió nos sorprendió mucho, yo venía un poco enferma de un resfriado y el señor fue muy considerado en ubicarnos en un lugar donde no hacía frío. Y la señorita que nos atendió muy amable. Pedimos una sopa de mariscos, que de lejos es la más deliciosa que he probado en Miami y mi esposo pidió mar y tierra, la carne súper rica, los camarones y el pescado. Pedimos de entrada guacamole con chips y excepcional. Muchas gracias por su calidad y atención.

Okay so, I have been coming to Puerto Vallarta for years and my family even longer. Every time we have a birthday or go to celebrate something, it’s either here or flanigans depending on what we’re in the mood for. Yamilet is the best server in the world and we love her so much. However, the prices have went up drastically and while we understand that prices normally go up over the years, the prices really have went up. The large margaritas use to be 9.99 a couple years ago and now they’re $15 which I guess would have been okay if that was one of the only things that increased in price since that’s what most people go there for. But even the free nachos and salsa that comes with your food prior to eating is now $6 and there’s no free nachos and salsa which was great to start convo and mingle while you wait for the food. The fish has went up $8-20 dollars more and they are smaller than what they use to be. Me and my husband wouldn’t mind even spending $49 on a fish but when you are paying $49 for a fish that is at $20 value elsewhere it is very unfortunate. The fajitas come with more peppers than meat. The food is cold. The fish tastes really fishy and sometimes like freezer. When we confront the owner he says “that’s fine you can still eat it” or “margaritas are more expensive because people would get drunk.” Lol okay? People will get drunk regardless elsewhere and you’re still selling margaritas? I don’t understand, if you’re so concerned about the safety of others, don’t even sell liquor at your restaurant anymore. He has a very fresh mouth, and a couple of tables even agreed with us and said he has a lot of nerve running a restaurant with very bad hospitality. Our bill was $140 for only three people. We ordered fajitas, shrimp, a fried fish, and two sodas. Never again. For that you go to the keys at a 5 star restaurant or hit up Miami. Plus gratuity (18%) is added for parties 6 or more and there’s only 3 waitresses on it tops. When there’s a great waitress we tip 20% (Both me and my husband use to work at a restaurant during our teen years so we know how that goes) but when the waitress disappears to the back of the kitchen for 15+ minutes I don’t think they are even deserving of 18%. Also there’s no wiggle room for strollers and wheel chairs. They will try to accommodate you to pass and go to your table but you’re bumping into other tables and parties and it’s very embarrassing.

I had the chance of eating lunch here years ago. I had lunch w a friend who normally doesn't like Mexican fare, but I told him the menu was full of seafood choices. I'm pescaterian so the food choices were perfect. I had oysters. Fresh cold w horseradish & lemon wedges. Delicious. Main dish was fish, shrimp & calamari over a hearty salad avocado & tomato slices. My friend had tortilla chips w salsa & guacamole. Main dish was a seafood soup...very hearty 1/2 crab, other seafood. No drinks or dessert. Bill was @$60.00. The menu was vast. Great Mexican food. Well worth the visit. Buen provecho.

AMAZING! The best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten especially seafood. I had the seafood enchiladas- the sauce was so good almost like a mole. My daughter who is gluten free had the fish tacos so filling and yum. The ceviche was delicious! The environment was fun, loud, relaxed, many families there.

Oysters weren't that fresh today. Micheleda was smaller than expected. Margarita wasn't all that, and with a lack of a cocktail menu, I would think they would try to make their margaritas legendary as possible, for lack of a better world. Some positives: portion sizes were excellent, prices were fair enough, and our waitress checked up on us very often. Mexican food in Homestead is usually the best, especially compared to Kendall, Doral, etc, but today just wasn't it.

Comparing several mexican restaurants in the area, Pto. Vallarta is not the best. Starting with no chips as amenities and lack ofvtraditional flavor on their food. Also, prices are higher

Food feels fresh and hasn't changed it's very good quality since the first time the restaurant many years ago and also the atmosphere feels authentic and almost as if you were in Mexico.

The food was good, but not the best I’ve ever had. I appreciate that it is definitely authentic. So I give it 4-5 stars. The service was pretty good. The restaurant is pretty clean, and nicely decorated. It’s an older building- kind of a dive. The prices are very reasonable! I ordered the enchiladas verde (chicken). My daughter ordered the chicken fajitas, and my other daughter ordered the shrimp tacos. They each got a bottle of soda, and we split some chips and guacamole. Our bill was $65 for everything. Not bad at all. Plus we have a lot of leftovers. The guacamole was a decent size and we had leftover. My daughter who ordered the shrimp tacos was the only one who finished all of her food. Although, she didn’t eat any of the rice or refried beans that it came with. The rice was very tasty. The beans were a little bland. Everything was fresh and hot. We will definitely be back again. I’d like to try more seafood next time.

This restaurant was really good several years ago. Now the food doesn't taste like Mexican food anymore. They didn't have horchata, tortas or al pastor. The margaritas tasted like a really bad wine. Won't be coming back

I should have believed the reviews. Only the fried fish huachinango is good very delicious. Otherwise food taste like it was microwaved, the vuelve a la vida cocktail was tasteless. The combination fajitas meat tasted old, my son got stomach sick from the food. The staff was not friendly no recommendations whatsoever 🙄 I asked for non soda options she gave me none . Not impressed at all. If you ignore my review and still go like I did just go for the fried whole fish lol. I'm not from the area but will never go back if I visit again.
