There are so many lobster shacks, and we're glad we picked Erica's. Just so you know, it's cash only, so be prepared. Also, do like the locals and bring your own drinks--we didn't know that we'd be buying drinks from a vending machine and wished we had brought some. We got a Lobster Roll, two fried baskets, and the Lobster Melt. The service staff was very patient as we tried to navigate the menu. We had to wait a little bit for the food, but it seemed manageable. The lobster roll was great--just lobster and butter, warm, which is my preference. The fried scallops were the big hit among the fried things, but the whole belly clams, shrimp, and oysters were delicious too. It was pretty foggy, so we didn't get an expansive view, but we enjoyed sitting outside with our food. We would go back, next time with more cash and drinks!

Roll was pretty good. Problems with ordering process, where the staff pretended not to know who was next in line over and over, and their weird lack of any orderly line makes this more stressful than it is worth. Just let me order and pay at the window. Nice view, but waspy entitled groups that were there ruined it for me.

I got the crab roll. It was ok. The size was small for the price. Our order of onion rings was VERY small too - literally a small handful of onion straws (the thin fried onions you get on a burger in some restaurants) and they were really greasy. (The oil wasn't hot enough.) My husband's burger was small too (ridiculously big piece of lettuce - I guess to make it look bigger). For $40 (with a couple bucks for the pleasant young lady who brought our food to our car), we should not have left hungry!! (especially us. We're not big eaters!) Will we return? Nope. Frankly speaking, we're sick and tired of the local eateries overcharging for food (always been the case, but it's to a ridiculous degree now - even at food trailers such as this. It costs the same as if we went to a restaurant!) As Mainers, we feel embarrassed that our (much needed) tourists and locals are so blatantly robbed (while also cutting the portions in half, or less now!). We used to love to treat ourselves to meals out, but there's no joy in it any more. Most of the food establishments seem to be owned by out of staters now, and that's part of the problem. (They don't care how their behavior affects our state.). And, if we have to go home hungry, feeling ripped off, and I have to cook something for us, than why bother?? Note: We were appalled to learn that if you order lobster you have to pay for the melted butter (each). Geesh! That's unacceptable!!

This was everything my wife wanted to experience to get a fresh lobster roll: a small drive-up or walk-up place, cash only, outdoor seating with a view of the water and pier, and wonderful food and service. The owner personally delivered our food and chatted with us for a bit. This defines "Maine" to these Alabama people. Very enjoyable.

First time to Erica's and so pleasantly surprised. I see why it is number one on Trip advisor for Harpswell. Unlike a previous review, the fries (both regular and sweet potato) were perfect-not oily at all. We had scallop basket and haddock basket- so lightly battered and cooked to perfection- arriving at our table steaming hot. Great venue, cool breeze on a hot day and lovely friendly service. We even bought a pint of clam chowder to take home chock full of fresh clams. We'll be back for sure!

Erica's is a perfect lunch (or dinner spot. Beautiful view, cool breezes on a hot day under the picnic table umbrellas. Very pleasant and welcoming interactions with the owners and the food- while fried, was light and flavorful. We ordered the scallop and haddock baskets with regular and sweet potato fries. Generous portions arrived hot and perfectly fried. We will definitely be returning. And- if you desire fresh lobsters, Erica's lobster retail is right next door

It's a beautiful location by the harbor. They have outdoor picnic tables where we can relax and enjoy the views while dining.

My family and friends come to visit, and we always go for lobster and crabster rolls, chowder, fries, and onion rings. All outstanding . I go 2 to 3 times a year.

Our favorite place we've been on our Maine vacation so far. Outdoor seating only at a marina with great fish sandwiches and sodas. The onion rings and coleslaw are amazing! Very nice staff. We loved it

I had some high hopes after eating at Dolphin's right across the parking lot. We showed up at about 615 on Tuesday and we were able to walk up and order without waiting. The food came to us promptly and we were seated without an issue. The kids had chicken fingers and french fries. They had a large portion and they were able to split the meal. My wife and I ordered a lobster roll and onion rings and some fries clams with French fries. First, the lobster roll was ok. I personally feel like it was under seasoned but that's easily correctable with the provided salt packets. The onion rings were just mediocre. The fries clams were soggy with oil. I get the feeling that they were fried in oil that was too cold. The fries were definitely homemade, but again, soggy. Honestly, everything was under seasoned, soggy, or greasy. We had a much better meal the night before.

What an authentic local find. It's a hyperlocal lobster shack & seafood business. Husband runs the business, wife runs the shack. Was really windy so couldn't get a good pic of the delicious lobstah roll. The onion rings were to die for. We had the very fresh fried haddock too.

It's always a joy to have the opportunity to visit. The owner and staff always make us feel like home and the food is always fresh 😋.

Fantastic Maine seafood-shack experience. The food is great and the outdoor seating gives you fantastic scenery. And, whether you're going by car or boat, getting there is half the fun.

Classic clam shack. Consistent. Good service. Good food, but almost entirely fried. Great cole slaw. Good onion rings. Good BLT. Fantastic view. Bring your drinks. Dine at their outdoor picnic tables.

We showed up to this place in the rain and we were a little confused on where to place an order since it looked like the deck was roped off - when we asked the young lady she rudely said “Read the sign - I will get to you when I am done doing what I am doing” - Has to be the owner’s family member - no one in their right mind we keep an employee like that- we left - terrible experience

We arrived on a rainy Monday in September 2023! We stopped for takeout to bring back to the place we were staying at on Orrs Island. When we got there we weren’t sure where to go because the area was roped off A gril stuck her head out of the door and said what do you need and I said we are here for takeout. She told me to read the sign and stand there and she will get to me when she was done doing what she was doing. Mind you no one was there it was pouring rain and her rudeness made us turn around and leave! I don’t care what you are in the middle of doing- you do not treat people that way and I would never go back because of the rude treatment! Very disappointing!

Great food and great location and views! Located on a grass knoll overlooking the ocean and marina. Seafood, chowder, and the best Lobster Rolls are served. The menu also includes many non seafood òptions, no one will go away hungry! You are welcome to bring your own wine or beer , soda and water is available on site. You eat outside on picnic tables with umbrellas, enjoy the views and sea breeze. My favorites are the fried oysters and scallops with onion rings! It's definitely worth the ride to Harpswell from route 1 in Brunswick and Freeport area.

We actually went for another restaurant in area but they were closed. This was right near it and what a find. Looked up reviews and they were outstanding so we took a chance. Outside tables. Cash only. Drinks from soda machine. Met couple who told us about the crabster on a roll. Crab and lobster. It was delish. When we left all the tables were taken. Great place. You won’t be disappointed

It's a much better lobster roll than the other place we visited earlier in the week. It was about the same price, but the lobster was fresher and better tasting, served the way lobster rolls should be prepared.

Literally the best lobster roll in Maine

Hot dog was okay, I assume their other stuff is better.

Staff looked stressed and not very friendly. You have to eat out of the containers. They don't hand out paper plates. No extra napkins only the one that comes in a wrapper with the knife, fork, 2 ketchup, one salt & pepper packet. Service consisted of dropping the containers on the table you were sitting at. Food was tasty, although not plentiful. I had a clam boat which was one small hot dog roll, not toasted, with 6-8 clams on it. Nothing special. The onion rings were tiny and crunchy. Probably re-cooked. The Cole slaw was good but again, about 3 tablespoons of it. The only drinks available are out of the vending machine.

If you want lobster any fresher, I reckon you'll have to buy a boat and pull it from the sea yourself. Given the difficulties associated with that plan, may I present Erica's seafood, right on the water with a beautiful view, a friendly staff, and great food! Definitely worth the drive, cash only, but there's an ATM on site!

Great seafood at a reasonable price. The shack is located on an active waterfront, and the seating is outdoors at clean red and white checkered table cloth covered picnic tables. I had the fried sea scallops and french fries, my wife had a fried haddock sandwich with french fries and coleslaw, and my aunt had the lobster roll with onion rings. Everything was served hot and was very good. The coleslaw was a crowd favorite.

Beautiful views of casco bay friendly service and the food was delicious and very reasonable priced. Portions are very generous as well. Definitely a great choose when looking for fresh seafood.

Plenty of room for parking especially if you have a motorcycle LOL. My Shrimp Basket was plentiful and very good. Underneath the shrimp they have the shoestring fries which I prefer. I wish they had stack them side-by-side not on top next time I'll ask outside seating picnic table. In a perfect view of the ocean.

I had a shrimp basket with fries coleslaw was very good it always good and they give you a good size helping. And the price is reasonable. I like to picnic table set up but eating outside. Plenty of parking especially if you have a motorcycle like I do.

1st time in Harpswell, Maine and Erica's is a definite place to visit! Food is unbelievable! Quick service, great views, and delicious food! We had the seafood chowder, Crabster sandwich, lobster roll sandwich, chicken fingers for our grandson, and, believe it or not, a chicken sandwich for our non-fish eater! All was served just as ordered and again, delicious! Must visit Erica's when in Harpswell!

We were in the area with no plans for lunch and stopped by Erica’s on a whim. What a great decision! Friendly fast service and delicious food all with a view you can’t beat. Highly recommend the seafood chowder. One of the best I’ve had!

We love Erica's, especially when traveling by boat as we did this trip. It's a long drive from our island opposite this peninsula but the food is worth it! We're hooked on crab rolls, but lobster rolls, fried shrimp and sweet potato fries are all great. Things can get busy on holiday weekends in fine weather so go early and go often!

Ordered the fried haddock basket $19 with fries and the fried clams basket $21 with onion rings. Haddock was very good. Fries were great. Well seasoned and shoestring fries. The clams, full belly clams, were good. The onion rings were ok. Not really onion rings…. Just sliced onions breaded in the same batter as the seafood and fried. Drinks… bring your own. There is a vending machine. Water and Pepsi products - $2.50. Erica’s is cash only. There is an ATM on site but careful of fees depending on your bank. Seating is good…. All outdoor at picnic tables. Pet friendly for sure. Food service was fairly quick. No issues at all.

Portions were generous, fried seafood was very fresh tasting and not greasy - fresh cut fries were delicious. A combo basket of scallops and clams with fries and coleslaw was only $24. Atmosphere is lovely on a nice day - outside tables right by the water. There are no inside tables that we saw, so in inclement weather you'd have to eat in your car but they have plenty of parking. Staff was attentive and friendly.

Well worth the drive. The lobster roll was overflowing with sweet tender lobster. Make sure you eat it over the plate because pieces of lobster fall off with each bite.

Great seafood, good ocean views!

Excellent place for a cup of chowder and a lobster roll. We were warming up after a cold hike and this was a perfect treat. Outdoor communal seating sheltered overhead.

This was our first visit to Maine, and Erica's was the best place for us to stop and try the local flavor. I will dream of the fried scallops, and the crab roll was absolutely stuffed. They also have options for people who don't like seafood, and a lovely, pet-friendly area to sit and watch the beautiful scenery. We loved the blueberry cake as well, and we hope to visit again!

The best clam chowder EVER. A must-stop!!

Lobster roll is excellent. Clam chowder was out of this world! Friendly owner and staff. Live lobster was $6 to $7 a pound depending on soft or hard shell.

We were visiting from out of town and saw Erica's Seafood. We took a chance. The service was amazing, they were so friendly. We were 4 sisters celebrating a 70th birthday, wearing sister shirts. The food was so good and we had a large portion of everything. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Don't usually like eating outside because of bees. Fortunately I only saw one at our table. It was easy ordering food, good food, and I would go back frequently if I lived in the area.

This is a very popular spot and the wait is long to get your food. However you can BYOB and sit at the picnic tables with a view of the harbor and Casco Bay. The lobster rolls were good, though small for the price in comparison to others available in Harpswell.

We went to Erica's on the Sunday before Labor Day. We got there at 6pm. It took 1.5 hours to get our food, but I would do it all over again. The food was delicious. The atmosphere (just above a marina at the end of the peninsula) perfect. We took a walk to the end of the peninsula and watched the sunset while waiting for the food. By all means, go!

Incredibly fresh and full lobster roll at a great price

The thing I love about the lobster roll at Erica’s is that there are no frills, no mayo, no extras. Just lobster! Delicious fresh lobster right from the working wharf the seafood shack resides at. If you aren’t used to eating fresh lobster and expect lobster salad or lobster overpowered by butter and masked with old bay, or just want claw meat in your roll, this isn’t the place for you. Split top bun and fresh thin fries served up crispy make a perfect meal. Current lobster roll price as of 8/22 is $25. Cash only, no drinks!

The freshest and most delicious lobster roll I’ve had in a while! This is a hot dog roll with a very substantial filling of lobster and a tiny bit of mayo. Get the basket to include fries and cole slaw. Enjoy it at one of the picnic tables with a view of the marina. Cash only and drinks are from a soda machine so maybe bring your own. They have other seafood as well if lobster isn’t your thing. We didn’t get the dessert opting for very good ice cream at Island Candy shop over on Bailey Island. Spend the afternoon poking around the side roads Looking for views. Take a walk on one of the area trails or go beach combing - there are several in the area.

Pleasant casual outdoor seating. They bring the food packaged to your table. Tasty lobster melt, does cool down before it reaches. Can get cold late evenings, so take a jacket.

The food warrants a one star but the view elevates the rating to two. We ordered a cup each of clam and seafood chowder, scallop basket, and a Crabster melt for a total cost of $72! We expect to pay higher prices at places like this but we genuinely felt taken advantage of. The staff was working hard but the lady taking orders was not friendly at all. The food took a VERY long time to be ready and we eagerly dug in when it finally arrived. The six scallops were overcooked and chewy. The fries were actually pretty good but not good enough to mask the poor flavor of the clam chowder. The seafood chowder was a bit better, but just a tiny bit. The Crabster melt represented 1/3 the cost of the entire meal and I had high hopes; perhaps a little too high. It was okay, a decent amount of lobster and crab meat, but no real distinctive flavor. Given the high prices and poor value, I can't recommend this eatery.

Great spot for a beautiful view and delicious seafood. We got the haddock baskets and sat at a picnic table with a great view. Only negative is that they don't take credit cards. Bring cash!! The fries were not my favorite...thin and well done. I prefer thicker and crispy.
