Great cheap bar with a wonderful staff!!!!

I never go to NOLA without getting a frozen Irish coffee here

Unfriendly service and not what I expected. Would not recommend and will not return.

Frankly disturbing behavior here. Cosplaying that it's a locals bar, while being right off Bourbon. You'd think it is a fun bar, until you enter it and it is incredibly unfriendly. Bad security, bad ownership, bad vibes.

This is a small, crowded and noisy pub. I say that in a good way. We would have loved to hang out here, but the place was packed when we got there, so we ordered the frozen Irish coffee to go. It was good, refreshing and really affordable. It's like a coffee milkshake.

The establishment is a mix of mostly locals and tourists. Everyone was great. The bartender, Brook, knew almost everyone’s name when they walked in and was greeted by her. Honestly, it felt like a more rowdy and slightly Celtic version of Cheers (where everyone knows you name)

As someone who would describe themselves as nothing more than bar fly. I gotta say this is TOP 5 best places to exist as a regular. Nothing more local. Nothing more genuine. Nothing more New Orleans. From the impenetrable fortress of bartenders to the absolute satured history it has to offer, there really is just nothing better. If it weren't for one "other bar" it would be my #1!! To top if off, it is ACTUALLY the best place to get an Irish Coffee hot or Frozen, no betta spot. If you're visiting New Orleans you gotta make this one of your spots. If you're the right kind of person you'll love it. Those who don't like it, good riddance. This one goes out to all them beautiful people behind that bat that do the lords work day after day.

In a city chock full of institutions, "Monahan's" Erin Rose is one of the most reliable. Been coming here since 1996 when I am in town. Great staff, great regulars, great atmosphere. Far enough off Bourbon to be sane but still insane in the best way possible. I can't pass up their Frozen Irish Coffee. It's just the best combo of refreshing and boozy to hit the spot every time. Just miss the old juke box with the punk music, but that's life.

If you pass by this place as you probably have you are so missing out. Bartenders are great, friendly people. Frozen coffee is amazing. This is a quite un assuming place half a block off Bourbon, and you should not skip this place.

Went for the famous Irish coffee! It was very good but I preferred Mollys Irish coffee! The server wasn't very friendly either. I was told Mollys used to own Erin Rose, they have same recipe but different machine! Who knows!

Note that they stop serving po boys at 8 on Sun/Mon/Wed/Thurs! The times on the Erin Rose website are wrong.

Didn't stay here long but got the renowned frozen coffee and it was fantastic... almost like a coffee milkshake. It's a fun drink, just note that it is very sweet.

Drinks are reasonably priced, many under 10 dollars, but there is a 10 dollar minimum on credit cards so it's a devious way to get you to stay for just one more. Lol. Great atmosphere.

When I’m on my deathbed and asked if there’s anything in life I would have again, it would be Erin Rose Bar’s Frozen Irish Coffee in an absolute heartbeat. As a tourist, don’t expect for the locals to be chummy with you, as they’re there to do their job and keep the pace going. Stay for the drinks and enmesh yourself in the atmosphere, but BY GODS there is a reason the best cocktail bartenders in the world rave about this place. Don’t.👏🏽 Even.👏🏽 Hesitate.👏🏽

The bartender Alex is LEGIT. Just popped in for a pint, he’s running and gunning on a busy bar. 20-30+ people. Super calm. Humble. Friendly. Will definitely be back!

Came here today and ordered the frozen Irish coffee, shrimp poboy and pork belly poboy. The Irish coffee was soooo good and definitely recommend ordering that. The shrimp poboy was okay, I've had better. But that pork belly poboy was pretty darn good. Honestly, if they could sell that pork belly by the bowl I'd order it by itself. Highly recommend! Overall service staff was pretty rude so I'm nicking a star off for that.

Came in for a frozen Irish iced coffee and loved the staff and atmosphere so much we ended up staying for a few extra rounds! One of my favorite spots in the French Quarter.

We have been there a couple of times on our recent visits to NOLA. It is very cheap and open almost 24h! Love the ambiance, the people, the small and old place and just a good feeling overall. Do yourself a favor and ask for a espresso martini 😉

To be fair, they were out of the Veggie PoBoy. Bourbon Grilled Cheese was ambitious but needed a veggie and was kinda meh. Best late night option around Bourbon for vegetarians. Frozen Irish Coffee best I had in the city. Heavier on the coffee flavor than others I had.

Our bartender Brook was a lot of fun, kept our drinks full! It was cold that day and she made the best hot Irish coffee we’ve ever had. I also had the frozen Irish Coffee…that is a must have with every visit to NOLA!!!

There is a picture in your bar that has had a major impact on my marriage. We were on the verge of breaking up and took once last trip and sat next to it. We both looked at each other and said we want another baby. We have 2. We spent every day there for five days looking at that picture. We chose the name Erin Marie. When we got home our marriage crumbled and we landed in the depths of hell. $60 plus thousand dollars later in attorney fees we broke a court order of no contact and realized we have a bond and a love that will never end. We can never be separated. I’m trying to save what we have because I’ll never feel this way with anyone else. Is there anyway and any amount of money to buy this picture? I will do anything. It’s a picture of a little girl and a black Erin rose onesie. There’s a note written on there that they had such a great time. They came home with an extra person.

Amazing frozen Irish coffee, great atmosphere with fun knick knacks and a great music selection. Big fan of all the Clash they had playing. Right off Bourbon street but without the insanity and wild drunks. Perfect place to just sit down and relax with a drink.

Super cool bar. Went Saturday night, bourbon street was packed and this bar was less overwhelming but still lively. Super cool decor, love this kind of bar. Drinks reasonably priced too.

Only bar I visited in New Orleans I went back multiple times. Super chill spot with cheap drinks. Absolutely try the frozen Irish Coffee (with an extra shot on top if you want) and I don’t believe you will be disappointed.

Would not recommend if you are visiting New Orleans. Bar staff was dismissive, and in a conversation with another guest disparaging tourist coming from Bourbon Street stumbling across their bar. We did enjoy the $3 mimosas but decided not to stay for food as we did not feel welcome.

Great Quarter escape. My fiancée and I found ourselves in a wonderfully celebratory night here. Good people popping in at seemingly all times!

The irish coffee was the perfect treat on a rainy morning. The servers were quick and friendly. The prices were super affordable!

Staff is literally so miserable and ugly its so sad to be in there. That one huge girl with the fat face and red hair was so rude.. don’t y’all work for tips🤷‍♂️😭I’m confused.

Can’t comment on food because we didn’t get any. We dined at Broussard’s first and then came here, definitely not because it has the same name as me. Carlos was amazing! So was the crowd. We watched some football, spoke to some other patrons and just had a great time. We were looking for a dive that wasn’t over crowded and we had an incredible time! Thank you Carlos, you’re a great bartender and you have an amazing sense of humor.

Great relatively chill dive off Bourbon. Much higher quality drinks than you'll find anywhere on the drag, excellent and thoughtfully made Sazerac.

I come here on every visit to NOLA and this last visit was disappointing. Someone previously said it in their Google review here - the redheaded bartender was not nice. Acted as if serving drinks was the last thing she wanted to be doing.

This is a haven off bourbon. So glad local recommended we stop by. Great music, cheap tasty drinks, and the Killer PoBoys in the back are phenomenal. We love to visit when we are in town.

Great local dive, super super small. Like most places in the area there’s a large step to enter, made it in with my wheelchair with a little assistance from some patrons. The bartender was fun

Erin Rose is a small New Orleans dive bar, in the best possible way. The clientele is mostly locals and have been coming here for years. In the rear is Killer PoBoys, with really great sandwiches. The service is good with almost any kind of beer or cocktail and the prices are reasonable.

This place has ruined New Orleans for me. I stop in, have a drink...and NEVER leave!

We stumbled across this dive at like 3am to get a drink before heading to the hotel. We ended up having a few more then one. Nice place to come when you want to get away from all the sugar syrup drinks.

Erin Rose is one of my favorite spots. The frozen ice coffee is the best in the city and one of the many reasons I come here. But also, it’s the kind of bar you go to when you know what you want. The bartenders make great drinks with a great attitude, and they keep the place in line. Stop by if you’re in the area. It’s absolutely worth the visit

We stopped in for Irish coffee to drink on our way to the Saints game. Many others had the same idea! The drinks were delicious. Will do this again..

Highly recommend their frozen irish coffee

I love this frozen Irish coffee (tastes like a milkshake) but the male bartender yelling angrily about people ordering too many of their famous drinks on a Saturday mid-morning in a touristy part of town is a turn off.

Went in for a Bloody Mary & stumbled out 4 hours later. We loved it here! Great Bloody Mary's 👍

So for food I can only really talk about drinks but I can say I NEVER go to NOLA without a visit to Erin. The frozen coffee is amazing. I bought a sweater from here before and now a tank top and my friend had never been here but wanted a shirt and to go just because of the tank 😀 this is a must visit when in town.

We hit up Erin Rose at least 8 times on our trip to New Orleans last month. Great little dive a few steps from bourbon. My wife loved the frozen coffee for $6. Can't beat Killer Poboys in back either. We will return on our next adventure there for sure

This was my very first time at Erin Rose and I loved it - part dive bar part kind people spot and always a great and very strong coffee drink of sorts - its a cup you want to keep and a place you will defiantly feel welcomed and feel at home in - Thank you Erin Rose we love your place an great energy.

I was in the restroom when the bartender and security OPENED the door. I was taking a number 2 but it was not even 5 minutes to where it would be appropriate for them to open the door on me while I am using the restroom. Great thing I was fully dressed when they opened the door, literally zipping my pants! It's inappropriate and I hope the new bartender get reprimanded for this inappropriate behavior
