The meads is absolutely delicious. We tried several kinds.

Went here 2x in one day because we did a flight and were still thinking about 7 hours later! Loved the RB&B, Mead-ahh-Rita, and Granny Apple Pie! Even bought some to go home. Atmosphere was fantastic! We used to come to Dahlonega all the time when I was a child, it’s nice to see these buildings taken up by successful local owned businesses!

Love this place! So unique. Elijah and staff are excellent.

We first tried Etowah Meadery at a beer festival in Suwanee in the springtime. We had never had mead before and we thought the samples were delicious! Fast forward to now, we decided to drive north to Dahlonega to check out the meadery! It was a beautiful drive from Alpharetta to Dahlonega, all through the mountainous roads. Super pretty. The meadery sits up on a hill and gives super cute mountain vibes. I’d love to see it in the fall! The staff was incredibly nice and interactive. They were great. We each got a mead flight so we could try all the different flavors which is what I def recommend! All were super yum and tasty! There’s also a brewery combined with the meadery so if you don’t like sweet mead, you and opt for beer. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Outside has fun games like cornhole! Very spacious and lots of areas to chill. They had live music while we were there, which is always a fun touch. 2000% recommend going to this meadery! We loved it.

I've been here three times since opening, and all the meads served here have tasted watered down and yeasty. There's barely any flavor in any of the batches, whether hydromel or sack. Even the barrel-aged meads just taste like yeasty barrel-aged water. The capsicumel may be the only thing on the list with any notable flavor, and even it lacked complexity. I don't know how professional, commercial meadmakers can produce something so consistently insipid and one-dimensional. Even in a brew that's just finished fermentation, there's some varietal character. These don't even have that. Very disappointing, for the third time. EDIT: Apparently the owner is incapable of handling criticism, and if someone isn't heaping praise on his mediocre, watery, flavorless meads with no body or acid/tannin balance, something must be wrong with them. By the way, I've visited three times, once per year, because breweries are supposed to improve over time; this one defied that expectation. Very professional. Minus one star.

Great location, friendly employees, and great selection of mead and other beverages. Outdoor seating area is very nice and the live music was very complimentary and not overpowering the atmosphere. 5/5 would go back.

Tried a mix of beers and meads here, loved the sparkling meads the best! Try the strawberry rhubarb mead :) Great atmosphere and very friendly service. And they are dog friendly!

Didn't know this place was here, but glad we discovered it. Good variety of beverages and seating options with good entertainment and friendly staff. I tried 3 Meads, which were all good...strawberry rhubarb, Granny's pie and a tasty raspberry & blueberry option. We looking forward to going back.

Little pricey but very excellent. Nice range of different meads. Particularly liked the Peach Cobbler barrel aged.

Always love going to Etowah meadery, it is veteran owned and operated, which is awesome cause my wife is a veteran and I support our troops, best draft mead you will find and the standard mead is great, if you go try grandma's apple pie, best draft mead on tap, and the staff is always great. Always my go to for a mead fix

Stopped in for a couple beers, I don’t usually like mead but really enjoyed enjoyed the ones they had to offer. Brandon was very friendly and helpful and the staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The live music they had was very enjoyable. Will definitely make my way back up.

Great spot to hang out, bring your dogs, play some yard games, and listen to live music. If you’re not a fan of meads, don’t worry, they also have beers. My favorite meads are the RB&B and the Georgia Standard. We make a point of stop here every time we’re in Dahlonega. Staff is great also, super friendly and welcoming.

We had stopped in Helen for a weekend getaway and saw the meadery on the way in on Friday. Saw the hours were supposed to be open at 11 for Sunday which was perfect timing. Showed up at 1130 and the place was closed, called and tried to talk to someone to see what time they were supposed to be open, no answer, left a message. Highly disappointed, was looking to add new meads to the collection

Had the little buzzer ipa... Not a super forward hoppy IPA but it's still on point.

I love Etowah's mead! There were lots of flavors to try including the unique Figgy Pudding and the refreshing Mead-ahh-rita. Out of the flavors I tried, my favorite was the RB&B. The meadery has a very relaxed, casual vibe and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Great atmosphere, wonderful beverages!

Travel to breweries all over and this was disappointing. Ordered 4 flights to try several types with our party of 4. No one cared for the beers, the red was not good at all. Pretty expensive for flights too $111 (before tip) for 4 flights and a 4 pack to go. Better places in the area to go to instead. ****To their reply. We did not order a red beer on its own nor any other beers outside of the flights - so not true on your part. Trust me, it was not good.. I put our 4 pack for $24 back - but the other lady we were with wanted a mead 4 pack. Your beers aren't good and go all over trying craft breweries.

Don't miss this great place snuggled into the hillside. Not only were their award-winning meads awesome, but the staff was so helpful and knowledgeable. It was fun spending the evening and chilling at the fire pit. It had a pacious interior with the outside lending lots of games and opportunities to meet some great dogs - and their owners.

The atmosphere here is so fantastic. The view of the mountains is lovely and it's so relaxing. The MANY meads, beers, and wines are terrific, the porch and picnic tables are dog friendly, and this place is great! There was a food truck when we went ( also fantastic) and we had a great time!

I had the best time here Saturday afternoon. I'd never had Mead therefore that in itself was an experience. The Meadery has a seasonal beer, Happy Camper, that's awesome. There was live music, games for the family, and an awesome and attentive staff. This place is definitely one we'll visit again when we're in the area.

We stopped in in Saturday afternoon. There was live music. There was a variety of mead/wine as well as beer. I liked the set up. Pet friendly establishment. No food.

First time had mead. We bought this one and it's actually good. Did try the granny's apple pie there and was very surprised how It did taste like apple pie and then after taste you can taste the honey. They have a new customer now. Although it is a drive. Couldn't wait for it to be ice cold so umm yes I have ice in it for the first one lol.

Great service great selection of beers and meads. Although since it was my first mead not sure how good a judge I would be. What I can say is I can’t wait to go back!!!

A unique brewery that show cases mead and other craft brews. Serves beer and mead flights and also has growlers to go. Lots of parking and plenty of outdoor seating. Has some basic packaged meat and cheese plates, otherwise no food here.

Chill laid back establishment serving tasty well crafted adult beverages. Indoor & outdoor seating available for all size parties. Co-owners and staff are personable and knowledgeable. Nice place to kick back and relax while exploring the Georgia Mountains. I partook in their tasting options where you can select up to 4 shots (total) from their selection of mead and wine. Not gone lie the Granny's Apple Pie and the Sword of Cortez mead was very good. BTW, I'm not a drinker so for me to say something is good....

Cute place tucked in the mountains! Our first time for mead and we enjoyed a flight to try several!

So glad we stopped here!!! We had never heard of mead, and was a little hesitant but as soon as we walked in, one of the owners greeted us from behind the bar. I tried a flight of the sparkling mead, my husband got a stout beer. Everything we tried, we liked. Especially the R, B & B! We even got to take a tour the back. All the staff were friendly and we enjoyed talking to them.

Fun outing. Enjoyed several of the sparkling meads. When we weren't sure what to try, the staff was very helpful. The food truck they had was a great addition.

This place is great to try a variety of meads, some strong and some less strong with semi-sweet, sweet, and sparkling flavors. Flights are affordable, and the outdoor seating area has games like cornhole and giant jenga. There’s also a family-run taqueria inside with really good nachos.

Beer, wine, and mead! What more could you ask for? A secret gem on the Wine Highway! RB&B was delicious and War Woman oat stout was rich and toasty. Definitely coming back for another visit. Nice atmosphere. Great staff, laid back vibe.

Veteran owned. We did a wine tasting and left with three bottles. As a veteran I like supporting VETERAN owned places. It was a great experience and they do give a military discount. I will go back if I'm in the area again.

I loved dang near everything I tried. I was so excited to bring a 6 pack of cans back home with me to KY. I really wish it wasn't in the middle of nowhere GA or I'd visit again.

Good place to try something different as they may be the only meadery in the area. My only disappointment was that they didn't have food or snacks, other than prepackaged large trays of meet / cheese. I would expect to see more interesting choices given the uniqueness of the establishment.

Normally I do not like mead. But etowah changed my mind. They had some semi sweet meads which were really good. Enjoyed the tour on how they make their beer and mead.

Tasty beer and mead. I was able to try a couple samples before settling on a unique blueberry beer that tasted more like a beer than blueberry fruit juice (which most fruit oriented beers seem to be to me). I was also impressed by the mead, which was lighter than others I've had rather than heavy and syrupy. The people here are what really made the experience. It seems rare to find truly friendly people anymore and this place was a refreshing trip. Everyone that worked here seemed happy and engaged in conversation. Good beer and people. I'll be back!

One of my favorite breweries, definitely my favorite Meadery ❤ this place is always chill with plenty of seating. The staff is pleasant as well. Love live music!!!

Always has been an excellent meadery, but with the addition of the brewery, it is at a whole new level. Try the nitro poured amber ale, you won't regret it!

Great hidden secret in Dahlonega

Absolutely love this place, I have come here multiple times (first time about 3 years ago) and have never been let down by the meads or beers. The staff is very friendly, the owner is nearly always behind the bar busting tail. He and the younger brewer are great guys. They are both incredibly knowledge and have some crazy passion for the craft. As a homebrewer, I spent a decent amount of time shootin the stuff... with the younger brewer in the brewery. He gave me a bunch of great tips and tricks. I shared some of my crazy ideas with him, we laughed, we cried, it was mead magic! It's hard to find a larger scale operation with the staff that has the passion of a homebrewer. This place has that, and it's a gem. They have some very interesting things lined up, and I can't freaking wait to go back.

Fun and different, love the outside space, kids allowed, wish the mead flights were a bit more pour for the price. You barely get enough to taste, hardly enough to share a flight, and at $6/can to take home, it'll take a while to try more. I've been twice though and only found one I wasn't a fan of yet!

Always a wonderful experience. Great service, great products, great atmosphere. We always try to stop when we are in the area!

We stopped by to sample a few meads but left due to children being in the tap room. These were not well behaved kids as they were running around and had their hands on everything. I was looking for a quiet evening out in an adult setting, instead, I ended up in a playground environment with inconsiderate, ignorant parents. These kids were under the age of 8. Who takes their kids to a tasting room, drives after drinking with kids and to top it off...no masks for the entire family, as the kids, (6 of them) ran around the room spreading germs and not social distancing.

My wife and I came through here a couple years ago and was introduced to meads . A gentleman welcomed us , told us how things work , filled us in on being veteran owned and explained meads to us . We were excited to come back but unfortunately there was not the same enthusiasm. We brought a card up and asked for help the girl looked at us and threw it across the counter and told the girl to fill this for her she didn’t feel like it. A gentleman come up behind us to check out and requested two six packs and she said go get it for me !! 🤷‍♂️Disappointed.

Mead was great, more to the original style instead of the beer style a lot of places are doing. Highly refreshing, I suggest getting a 6 pack to go when you leave. The strawberry smash was my personal favorite, extremely light and fruity.
