Hands down the best ice cream in dc, i'll commute 20 mins from my neighborhood that has jennis/van luwen just to go here. i had the fruit loops and blueberry cheesecake. both were great but blueberry cheesecake was amazing with chunks of cheesecake. my friend has a brownie sundae he said was basically life changing. the owner (i'm assuming) was incredibly personable, took time to talk to each individual customer, and it was so pleasant. i think that the whole family works there, if not they get along like a family the line was a bit long but cleared quickly. indoor seating is limited but there is some outdoors. you are able to taste test the flavors before choosing. i believe they change flavors weekly if not monthly, and they list all the flavors online i'll be back soon for the caramel brownie flavor!

I had high expectations for Everyday Sundae and they exceeded them. There is something about the smell of an ice cream parlor that transports me back to childhood. We were greeted by Mr. Charles and I have to say he is a delightful person, you can tell this is a labor of love. I had two scoops, chocolate with moose tracks and graham cracker, and both were delicious. I also tried the Marion Berry and will be getting that next time. The place is decorated with pics of families and children enjoying their treats in the store which just adds to the ambiance. Overall this is a fantastic establishment and a great addition to the city. Visiting is a must.

I opened the door to this ice cream shop & the smell of the ice cream wafted right into my face. It was delightful. I taste tested the Banana Pudding Ice Cream & immediately wanted it. How good is the ice cream here? Well none of us even thought to take a photo of our ice creams before we devoured them… but the bourbon truffle was so exquisite that I went back in to buy a half pint to bring home for the freezer. Hands-down, the best ice cream I’ve tried in the DMV this summer.

I was a little skeptical of 5 star overall rating, but I just had a religious experience with a bourbon truffle ice cream in a waffle cone. Daughter loved the strawberry, will be back. Just wish there was a little more seating outside

Cute little ice cream shop with lots of foot traffic. Great variety of delicious flavors. I like my ice cream in a cup, though there are 2-3 cone choices. I went with a 2-sorbet combo. Tasty! Lots of kiddos and families milling about. Great energy!

This place is legit. The flavor options are a culinary delight. Without a doubt, the best ice cream in the city 😋 Key-lime pie ice cream with Graham cracker ice cream is a dream combo. The moose tracks is incredible and the bourbon truffle is spectacular.

Loved all six flavors we tried! Owner/staff was very friendly and the prices were reasonable. Luckily it wasn't too crowded and we could sit inside, since it was hot out. Happy to drive 30 mins for this ice cream!!

Very friendly and professional owner. I assumed the ice cream would be homemade but it was just prepacked tubs of Hershey Ice Cream which was a bit disappointing. Great flavor variety but ice cream quality is generic. Visited on a Sunday and the owner himself was working which shows the pride he takes in his shop. Well worth popping in with your kids if you are in the area but not a "destination" for ice cream.

This is the absolute best ice cream shop! The staff has incredible hospitality, the flavors are incredibly delicious, and the shop has become a staple of the community.

Wonderful ice cream shop with friendly and welcoming owner and staff. Had their Mocha Chocolate Chip and my wife had their Cappuccino ice cream, both in their home made waffle cones. We walked home happy, and we'll be back.

This place is the best! Delicious ice cream, friendly and efficient service, and incredibly reasonable prices. The Graham Cracker flavor is my favorite and positively magical, but we recently tried the peanut butter cookie (with bits of actual peanut butter cookie dough throughout!!) and were quite happy with that too. And the owner’s super friendly, a local, and contributes to the community—what more could you ask for?

We were told about this place by our server at dinner and so glad we took him up on the offer. So many flavors of ice cream with waffle cones made fresh on site. If you’re in the area please try this black owned ice cream shop, I love to see black ownership taking back over Kennedy st after all the gentrification. Yum! Go! My family just stopped in for the most delicious ice cream and charming staff! The Bourbon Truffle is outstanding! The dark chocolate, cappuccino, and prailines and cream were delicious, too. The owner and servers were friendly and engaging. 5 stars!

First, it’s a very clean welcoming atmosphere. Then you approach the counter and you’re greeted by Charles, the owner, who couldn’t be friendlier and more genuinely excited to share his flavors with you. After trying several flavors we settled on a few of his recommendations - graham cracker, cappuccino, and oatmeal. All of which are far better than the actual things. Go here if you like ice cream. It’s amazing

I saw this ice cream spot featured on the news over a year ago. I have been telling myself that if I am in the area, I will stop by and support. Today, I went as a treat and was not disappointed. From the initial greeting, the friendly conversation, and the warm farewell I was already sold before I really had a chance to try my ice cream. As I walked down the street eating my ice, I realized that this is the spot to visit for some good cream in the DMV! I will be returning, to say the least!

Loved this place! From the time we walked in until we left, the owner made us feel very welcomed. The staff is super kind and generous, allowing us to try several flavors before making such a tough decision. I ended up getting the banana pudding and butter pecan in a cone. It was delicious! Definitely a bright spot to check out in the area.

Hands down the BEST ice cream in the city. Not only that, but the owner is wonderful and the service is always top notch. It's difficult to go elsewhere (even when Everyday Sundae is out of our way) when I think about having a scoop of their oatmeal cookie or banana pudding ice cream.

Love this place and the owner! Stopped by with 6 kids + 5 adults just 10 mins before it closed and he stayed open for us to get all the orders in and eat inside. The prices were great and the waffle cones are a reasonable size (esp for little kids). The flavors were a good variety with different flavors of sorbet.

We come here once every other week. Every single time a delightful experience and the flavorsssss! Charles is the best and always treats me and my daughter like royalty. I’ve even witnessed him treat a pack of kids who didn’t have enough for everyone to eat to free scoops while explaining how business works and even economics. Cares a lot about the community and his patrons…. Even his block.

This place is such a gem! The ice cream is delicious, but as others have noted, the owner is a really special person who deeply cares about the community and constantly gives back. Also, I really appreciate the unlimited samples when that is becoming rare!

Saw this place as we were heading to Brightwood Pizza and Bottle (also an awesome spot) and decided to stop by for our "dessert course." The owner, Charles, and his son are worth the visit, alone - so kind, friendly, and welcoming. The ice cream was great (I tried a flavor I wouldn't have normally chosen at Charles' encouragement) and the homemade waffle cone was excellent. Will definitely be coming back!

The ice cream is better than excellent, incredible. The owner is very personable, the prices are reasonable, there are benches along Kennedy St, and it's in a nice business area, well known by DCers, 7th and Kennedy. I love everything there.

Words fail to describe how wonderful the ice cream is here. The texture is a perfect balance of creaminess and the flavors are spectacular. The waffle cones they make here are the platonic ideal of a waffle cone. On top of the ice cream, Charles and the crew are so welcoming and friendly to everyone that comes in that your spirits are boosted just by walking in the door. The shop is a community treasure and it is worth traveling any distance to experience for yourself.

Great ice cream! Went in for a scoop came out with 3 quarts. There were so many amazing flavors. I chose Graham cracker, Salted caramel and Cookie Monster. I think this summer I will be trying all of them. I’m very pleased to have this establishment in my neighborhood! OUTSTANDING customer service.

From the friendly smiles when you walk in, to the variety of delicious flavors to choose from, this local ice cream shop exceeds expectations. My first visit was yesterday evening, 7/30 and I was delighted to see some of my childhood favorite flavors on display. Rum raisin and Froot Loops are my personal favorites. Yet, there are over 20 more flavors to choose from. Cups are nice to enjoy your treat in, but I recommend a homemade waffle cone. Hands down, the best ice cream shop in DC.

Love this place! Especially on Waffle Wednesday where the recipes are original, fun, fresh and super tasty! The service and atmosphere is wonderful and it has become a favorite meetup spot with friends. Charles and his crew provide great service with warm presence. The prices are doable for an ice cream shoppe and he provides free ice cream to local folks with donations from others. So grateful for this gem!

Stopped in after a college tour of Georgetown Univ. Heard it was good. It was actually great. So many flavors....so delicious........so hard to choose...so we got a flight of 6 scoops/6 flavors. Owner (Charles) was present, naturally kind, warm and welcoming. A wonderfully patient and sweet woman served us and had no issue with us sampling multiple flavors to figure out our top 6 flavors. Customer Service 10/10. Ice Cream 10/10. Would definitely return and encourage others to give it a try. 🌟✔️Bonus points for Allergy chart posted to identify which flavors may contain allergens. 🌟 Picture of the after.........

Owner is a G who takes pride in his work and is clearly trying to improve his neighborhood. Ice cream was solid, friendly service, reasonable pricing. Was happy I wound up here after McDonalds McFlurry machine broke, and was able to support a great local business.

I LOVE this place - but truly, I love the owner ❤️ Talk about a class act. You can tell this gentleman loves what he does and that's bringing that A+++ customer service and making people smile.
