The atmosphere was nice, and the tea was good quality. However, the food was extremely tiny for $40. The “cupcake” had the circumference of a quarter and was half an inch tall. The service was horrible. I wish it wasn’t. I wanted to like this place so badly, as the decorations were very cute. But, the waiter was very rude. We asked for more food (as they didn’t give us a lot) and the waiter replied to my friend, “it’s not a buffet,” in a condescending tone. We ran the bell twice and when we didn’t get a response, he said, “I heard you!” Again, in a very condescending tone. I wanted to not tip, but I still did because it’s the right thing to do. But me and my friend will NOT be coming back!

AMAZING. I have been dying to come here for years, and I'm so glad I finally did. The place was the most beautifully decorated space I've ever been to. The food was spectacular, and the Boston Blend tea was the best I ever had, almost cried. The owners are adorable, kind, hospitable, and warm. Such a nice pair of wonderful human beings. I can't wait to come back here again and again. My only complaint is that I can't go every day! ☺️♥️🌸💞 Seriously, a perfect and amazing place. PLEASE go!!! I didn't want to leave!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Fancy That! The food and tea selection was stellar, Sarah and Brad were so incredibly kind, and when a small crisis happened, they were as supportive as possible as we tried to figure out how to leave our tea session now car-less. We are grateful for their hospitality, and very much look forward to returning in the near future.

I have been to Fancy That a few times over the years, with family and friends. Every time has created such wonderful memories. I’ve also been to High Tea in London, Vancouver and other places near and far. What is so obvious at Fancy That is that you can see the attention to every tiny detail, from the menu to the decor. The sandwiches are so fresh and delicious, the scones and desserts, to die for. This gem of a tea house offers an experience and comes highly recommended by me - an experienced tea lover.

The atmosphere of this establishment is absolutely beautiful. It is readily apparent that great thought and preparation went into every detail. Regrettably, the same cannot be said of the food, which was very disappointing. Having had traditional high-tea in London and several tea-rooms in the US the quality of food at Fancy That does not measure up. I encourage the owners to refocus their priorities; after all, there is more to the traditional high-tea experience than sitting in a nicely decorated room. Patrons are more than willing to pay $83 (for two), but the quality of food should reflect the price charged.

One of my new favorite places for afternoon tea! I’ve been trying out a bunch this year and their decor is just so cute esp for this Bridgerton era. The sandwich options were good too, I am slightly picky when it comes to finger sandwiches and I was able to eat all of them :) My favorite dessert was the strawberry cheesecake cup. I would come back again!

I’ve been coming here almost once a month for a few years. I look forward to it as it’s my only alone time and it’s an enjoyable experience. The owners are so kind and hospitable and the food is always delicious and the monthly scones, sandwiches, and desserts are so fun. The environment is gorgeous and feels like you’ve entered another time period. It’s such a relaxing place to go and I try to bring as many friends/relatives to experience it as I can. I couldn’t recommend this tea house more.

We reserved a 3:30 seating. Their flyer says you have a 90 minute timeframe but we were relaxing after our tea and were there only 1 hour and was asked to leave because they were closing. I thought that was rude. Also the tea was cold, there was no tea cozy to keep tea hot. The place is decorated cute but wouldn’t go there again because they asked us to leave.

This tea room is absolutely adorable and the perfect setting for a dressed-up afternoon. Each visit feels special, especially on birthdays when they crown you with a tiara! I've been there three times and have always enjoyed it. They offer a fascinating range of teas that are both unique and delicious. Make sure to book in advance, especially for weekend visits, and confirm your reservation a few days ahead. One small downside is that their monthly menu tends to be similar year on year, which was a bit disappointing for my annual birthday visits. However, they're great with dietary needs and allergies if you let them know beforehand.

Love this place, it's a simple tea party, don't plan om eating this is like an appetizer and snack place. But the atmosphere is a beautiful and fun place to take pictures, sweet and amazing hosts. Plan ahead of time and always reach out because they are willing to accommodate.

What a cute little hidden gem in Walpole. My friend and I try to come here every few months to catch up and enjoy some lovely tea time. We love coming here. From the beautiful decorations (all tea time-related) to the food and tea selections, what’s not to love? The tea guy and the owner are such sweet people and always make us feel welcome when we come in. The portions are perfect and I always leave feeling content. The attention to detail on the decoration is wonderful. Everything is pink; just imagine if Minnie Mouse, Hello Kitty, and Barbie all shared a house. If you want to make a reservation, definitely plan at least a month or so in advance because they book up quick!

I loved it!! All of the food was delicious, as was the tea. Honestly, the cucumber sandwiches were the big star. The decor is so cute, too!

My husband and I had a wonderful date of afternoon tea. The decor, the vibe, and of course the tea was amazing. Brad was amazing! It was lovely to hear about his wedding with Sarah and the story of her wedding fan. I highly recommend the blueberry crumble tea! The snacks were 10/10. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy catching up with tea.

A delightful experience worth the 2+ hour drive to get there. Expected to have decent tea and to grab a bite afterwards, left after finishing a delicious pot and appropriately stuffed. Looking forward to the next visit!

This is the cutest place for afternoon tea! The thought that has gone into the decor, atmosphere, and the food is incredible. I have been here like 4 times and am NEVER disappointed. The flavors also change monthly so you always get to try something new. They are even gluten free friendly! My sister is able to have a gluten free meal alongside us that is at the same level of quality as the regular version. I highly recommend the Buckingham Palace Tea! They also have a little store so after your tea you can go shopping for cute trinkets and buy some loose leaf tea to take home. Sarah is also the absolute best and so sweet. I cannot recommend this place enough! We bring all of our friends and visiting family here!

This is THE best place for afternoon tea in Massachusetts!! The place is eclectic and adorable! Tea and food are great and at a reasonable price. Sarah and her husband do an amazing job and the attention to detail is awesome - from the bunny knife rest to the heart shaped scones! My sister needed to be gluten and nut free and she was very happy with her food. Sarah's passion for tea shines through in everything. I've been to other tea rooms and this place is heads above! Been here twice now and will be back!

It was the most beautiful place I have been for tea, it's almost like falling down a rabbit hole and exploring what wonderland would look like!! The price is so incredibly worth it and I would do it over and over again! The parking lot is a touch small but that's what reservations are for! (Just in case you have a larger car) please do this experience and every room has its own vibe and is so insanely decorated you will not feel like you miss out at all!! We walked in and didn’t feel welcomed. We were reminded constantly of the 90 minute limit. The gentleman came with our check earlier than that and we felt like he just wanted us to leave. It’s unfortunate. The tea house is gorgeous. Food wasn’t fresh. Bummed.

Fancy That provides an ideal marriage of a dreamy-cute aesthetic and well crafted food that guarantees a wonderful afternoon tea experience that you can't easily find. When you walk into Fancy That, you walk into an afternoon tea fantasy world. Decorated with vintage cups and saucers and whimsical artifacts of all stripes, you have no lack of things to look at and be inspired by. I was shepherded to a private little tea room by one of the warm and welcoming staff members, and soon thereafter, once the rest of our party arrived and settled in, was asked what tea I desired. Their tea list, available online, is expansive to say the least. I decided on Fireside - a smokey and tea that paired well with all the sweets that laid ahead. The tea tray, filled to the brim with exciting treats, arrived quickly. A small sign on the table explained what was on each tier - after it was dropped off, we did not see the staff again until the end of the meal. If we had needed anything, a bell was provided. Now this? This was something I loved. My friends and I were left alone to enjoy ourselves in a private space, allowed to fully submerge ourselves in the moment without distraction. I could certainly get used to this. The food itself was really good. Highlights were: The chicken salad with apricot jam. Apricot jam is a surprisingly perfect accompaniment for a savory chicken salad. Nice and light, it was a delight. The birthday cake scone. Sweet and well textured, it went really well with clotted cream and jam. The S'mores dessert shot. I love the S'mores flavor profile to begin with, and in this form? Brilliant. All of the flavour and none of the fuss. Long and short, there were lots of great flavours and near perfect execution. The lowpoints were so few and minor that they would be highpoints in some of the other tea places I have gone to. I honestly have nothing bad to say - Fancy That may well be the best place for afternoon tea in Southern New England.

Fancy That is my favorite place for tea! It's great for any occasion and reasonably priced for the 90 minute sit time and all the food you get. I come here on a regular basis but It's an amazing experience even if you go just once! There are 100s of teas to choose from and while the menu is set every month, it never disappoints! Brad and Sarah, the owners, are amazing people and I encourage everyone to check out this hidden gem!

Interesting experience. Decorated with lots of detail. Like a barbie world. Cookies with Santa is the best black tea. Highly recommend. The mini sandwich tower was yummy. The pot of tea plus food was a bit pricey for me. Tea by itself is priced right and the preorder process is seamless.

An adorable place! So many tea options and cute little finger sandwiches and scones made for an outstanding tea party experience! They had a couple of decorated rooms, and we had our own secluded space to enjoy tea and conversation. A relatively quiet environment, very peaceful and great for tea enthusiasts! You will be presented with a lovely selections of scones, tea sandwiches and sweets. Don't worry they have take away boxes if you run out of room.

Oh my god! We visited a month ago and it was such an amazing experience. Its a typical Afternoon/High tea experience but the food and aesthetic go all out! They were also able to cater specifically to our Vegan and Gluten free friends. ( Our Vegan friend got something even we would've been interested in trying! That's always a 10/10 for us of a location's standards.) If you're looking at just a small get together or a day out I highly suggest the visit. We plan to go again in the winter to experience the holidays. 💕💕

I’ve come to Fancy That several times over the last 6 years. It’s has to be one of my favorite places ever. The attention to detail and creation of an experience is impeccable. The food is always delicious and well thought out. My husband has brought me here for birthdays and I even brought my bridesmaids here for a pre-wedding get together.

Fancy That is a very special place. While I've been to a half a dozen tea houses over the years. Fancy That is the ONLY one I keep returning to. I have been visiting this tea house for about 8 years now and have now made it a monthly ritual. I consider Fancy That the gold standard that I measure all other afternoon tea experiences against. Not only are the food and tea top rate, the atmosphere is so enjoyable. The shop itself is very fascinating. The decor and offerings are constantly changing. You must try some of their signature teas. I love Lady Violet. Lastly, Sarah and Brad are the most wonderful and attentive hosts. I simply can't wait for my next visit!

It is wonderful! We enjoyed it immensely! The tea and food were great and presented in a lovely fashion. The service was fantastic! The couple was very nice and helpful! The way the decorations are done there are very elegant. I had a hard time not looking at everything. Reservations are required ahead of time. I loved they didn't have a dress code, as some places do. If you are interested in take out, instead, please order ahead. You can get a lot, of information, on their website about everything and any questions, they are very good at answering. In, my opinion, you won't be disappointed. My sister's and I always passed through this place. We never went is but wondered what was it all about. For my sister's birthday I decided to being her here. You have to book your visit much in advance. I went online and booked it 4 months in advance. Even though, we ran late in arriving the service was amazing at the door, the waiters were amazing, the food was good, and the ambience were just perfect for tea. I can't wait to come back to this place again.

This is exactly what you want when going on an adventure. It's also a great place just to sit and visit, even good for a meeting because the rooms are private. I can't say enough good things about the décor, so unique and well done. The tea was fragrant and delicious, served with sandwiches, and petite deserts. Wonderful. I was truly amazed there wasn't an speck of dust. The owners were welcoming and it was a joy to be there.

Had a lovely tea experience at Fancy That this weekend with my mom and sister. This is our second time visiting and we are sure there will be many more enjoyable visits here in the future. We were kindly treated by the “Tea Guy” himself and everything was delicious (try the Tower Of London tea) and the scones were to die for.

I love love love this place! Best afternoon tea I've found. The owners are very nice, funny, friendly, and accommodating within reason. I've been 3 times and I can't wait to go back. The food is so good, it's nice to try sandwiches I wouldn't of thought of. Did I mention the crazy good amount of tea choices. You can tell they take pride in their place.The only thing that's sad is that it books up so fast, but that just shows how amazing it is. I've brought four people and I can't wait to bring more.

My daughter surprised me for my birthday and I was so delighted! Our "Tickled Pink" room was absolutely the most beautiful! The details down to the bunny knife rest did nothing but amaze me! Fancy That is by far my favorite tea room in New England. My sister and I frequently treat ourselves to tea in as many locations as we can visit, and although each tea room has some unique and wonderful quality, Fancy That has it all! Sarah and Brad are amazing hosts, the food, tea and bubbly are simply amazing and the décor of each room is beautiful. We don't get to go very often as it's a bit of a drive for us, but it's always a special occasion and we're treated like royalty. Fancy That Tea house is, by far, the best place to go for Afternoon Tea in the area. Sarah & Brad truly go out of their way to please their customers. Adding "Afternoon Tea to go" during the pandemic made all the difference for me. I am a frequent customer. The 'sammies' and desserts are excellent. More recently, the sammies are cut into shapes that add a uniqueness to the experience. The gift shop is amazing and many stocking stuffers and special day gifts can be found here that are unique. Having tea at Fancy That is a unique experience. It is an amazing place to dine in or out. Try it...you'll love it.

Date of Experience: 08/29/2021 Rating: 4.5 Stars. A friend and I came across Fancy That on Facebook and decided to go because we both love tea. The location was very easy to get to and I was happy that they have their own parking. Our reservation was at 10:30 and they seated us in the “Yellow” room immediately. I was pleasantly surprised and excited that there was so much pink, as it is one of my favorite colors. The rooms were beautiful, and all the decor was lovely. Very clean, as well. Hospitality was excellent. The owner is very kind, friendly and informative. We were also very happy that she was willing to take a photo of us together to capture the experience. I got the “Mocha Chocolat” tea which is: black tea, coffee beans, chocolate and white chocolate bits and maple sugar. It was by far one of the best teas I’ve had and enjoyed it so much I bought it. The pastries, sandwiches, scones and more was delicious! Everything that we ate was incredible. You are able to purchase teas and other things like Clotted Cream-which is delicious. Overall, I definitely recommend this place for the experience and TEA especially!! It was a lovely place to have a “Girls Day”. Age Restriction: I’m a 30 year old women and I felt scared I would break something. I completely agree with the age limit of I believe 12+ because there is a lot of China and glass and things that are delicate that can break. It was also enjoyable to have a place to get away from younger children to enjoy a tea, food and conversation. The only reason I gave the rating of 4.5 stars instead of 5 stars is just because the pricing is a little more. Between two people it was $66.00 with tax. But you are paying for what you get. Regardless of that, we will be back no matter what.

Loved the staff and really felt like a grownup with class lol Sarah& her husband were so kind to our group and allowed us to take millions of photos! overall I had a grand time!!! By the way, the level of detail in decor is admirable!

Very good decor, interesting tea rooms. Tea was good, we requested for a vegan tray and they were kind enough to fulfill that request. However, because of the vegan choice, we felt the tray didn't have as many varieties as a regular one. With 30+$ per person, it felt quite expensive to me. I wouldn't go back because of the high prices.

*EDITED* The staff was very kind, the specific room we were in seemed a bit tight for 4 people (we had a private room seperate from the main area). The food and tea was amazing! Highly recommend the funfetti scone and the pulled BBQ pork sandwich, if they are serving them. The Paris tea was excellent as well. You must try the clotted cream on your scones! To die for. A great fun thing to do!

This place is very unique and we love it! The quality of the tea and food is excellent and the service is the same. At $30 per person I feel that is very well spent. Come here for an excellent afternoon tea.
