Everything was excellent and at a reasonable price. Chicken dinner with collard greens and beef dinner with green beans, both with mac-n-cheese.

Exceptional food and service. I have come here a handful of times and each time the food is delicious, and the service is prompt. I like going to this restaurant because the food is great, and the prices are fair. Good food cost! Fresh food cost! To see that it is fresh, and affordable is not common throughout the area. I will continue to keep coming!

We were visiting St. Petersburg Florida from Michigan. After leaving the beach, we were hungry and had a taste for barbecue. I started checking the reviews for a good barbecue restaurant to stop by and came across Fatty’s Barbecue. We decided on Fatty’s and were glad we did. The barbecue chicken, baked beans, and mac and cheese were delicious! I would recommend them to anyone wanting great tasting food.

Came from Sarasota and tried this friendly family owned restaurant and was not disappointed. The service was excellent, there was only a short wait for some steaming hot fresh delicious soul food. I’d make the trip back just to stop here and eat again!

Hands down the best BBQ I’ve ever had, and I eat a lot of it! The baked beans were incredible. If you haven’t tried this place, do yourself a favor and go!

Place of business is small. Take out only. No indoor dining. Did not try the food because i was looking for a sit down but honestly, the place looks very dirty and I would not trust the food.

Sat outside on the nice pink picnic tables and enjoyed the sweet and spicy mix on my chopped pork sammich and my Marine brother had a "Fatty's FAT SLAB o' ribs wit the sauce sweet and spicy(mild) mix. This was a bussin BBQ experience 😩 💪🏾👌🏾🙌🏾

Was invited to come down and try the food by the owner while we were both filling at the gas station, and I’m sure glad I did! From the scent walking up we knew it was going to be delicious and it definitely was!!! We will be back again!!

Accidentally created a masterpiece when asking for half spicy half mild sauce. It’s not a half rack of each, it’s together all over, and it’s bang bangs. I ate the collard greens like I was Popeye too.

We’ve been looking for some good local bbq that isn’t in Tampa. We found it! We got two dinners, I got the chopped beef, my husband got the hot sausages. The baked beans are so delicious and sweet! On a whim I decided to get potato salad, and I’m so happy I did! It was delicious and not your average potato salad! My husband tried it and regretted not getting a side of it himself! The mains were also delicious and hot. The beef was most and flavorful and my husband said his sausage was great. Service was quick and friendly. We will be back!

I stopped here to pick up a to go meal for my family. I ordered three ribbed dinners to go and enjoyed them at the park. The food was fantastic. The service was amazing and the only reason the atmosphere doesn't get five stars is because I couldn't eat it there. When you walk in they make you feel like you're ordering from family and they make you feel like you're attending a picnic. If you grew up attending picnics with check soda then this is the place for you. I. Will definitely be back and can't wait to try other items.

Rarely have I met such a warm-hearted restaurant owner. He was super friendly and served great food. There was a large portion for the money and the food was great. Personally, I love meat from the smoker and the food was amazing. Greetings from Germany and stay as you are.

Me and my buddy were visiting St Petersburg and we had to try this guys BBQ as there's nothing like it in Germany. The food was extremely tasty and fresh - also the amount of food for the dollar was outstanding! The owner is a very friendly and chill dude!

Just stopping in to write a review and my mouth is literally watering. No joke. This place is the real deal. It’s a newer restaurant in the location of a long-running BBQ joint but don’t let its newness turn you off. This place, opened in memory of the proprietor’s sister, “Fatty” (seriously, if I called my sister that, she would rip my face off), this restaurant eats like an old time BBQ joint. I got the pork with a combination of the spicy and regular sauce and it was mouth-watering good. The side of slaw was a little dry; all the liquid was in the bottom of the carton. No worries; I just added it to the meat and ate it together. It was delicious. Of course the Mac and cheese was good - how can you go wrong? - and the collard greens had an interesting spice mix that I really liked. The atmosphere inside was fine - it’s a take-out place. But there was camaraderie and banter among friends and regulars there. We chose to eat at the picnic table outside — they are planning to redo that area and make it more inviting for eating there on premises.

While visiting St. Pete's on vacation, we were looking for some smoked meat and boy, oh boy did we find some great food. We had BBQ chicken, rack of ribs, wings, baked beans, mac n' cheese and collard greens! It was amazing...the sauces were fantastic too. I got my 1st intro to a 'rib dog's. Thanks from the Canadians & we'll be back!!

Damn, some of the best barbecue ribs and chicken we've had!! The mac and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw and sauces (hot and mild) were outstanding!! Made our Super Bowl get together perfect and we will certainly be back again!! Shout out to Diamond and Jesse!!!

Visiting from NY/NJ/Bermuda and was told to go to Fatty's and it didn't disappoint!!! We got the Chopped Pork Sandwich,ribs, chopped beef and the meat was seasoned and had a good smokey flavor. The sides (greens, string beans and the Mac n cheese) were well seasoned too!!! The staff is friendly and welcoming... Dont delay, go get some for yourself!!!

I visited for the first time after reading reviews. I must say I am glad I did! The food was excellent, seasoned well and great portions. The customer service was great and made you feel welcomed. I will definitely visit again.

We were looking for some good bbq and came from PPark to give it a try. The outside doesn’t look like much but the food and people were so great. Them greens were by far some of the best I’ve ever had! The Mac &cheese was made with love. My picky kids even liked everything they had. The portions were good for the price. The owners were very kind and took the time to talk to us and make us feel welcome. We will definitely be back to try the chicken and some dessert!

This place is no joke. I travel a lot and try BBQ in each state I go, and this place is on my top 10 without a doubt. You know it's good BBQ when you don't need sauce at all. The pit bean pack a ton of flavor and the collard greens 🤤🤤 I could eat pounds of them. Highly recommend stopping by weekly! Don't hesitate, I guarantee you love it!

Found business card thought what the heck drove about 6miles from my home wanting to give them a try. It was not a mistake. Some of the t he best (tenderness) ribs I've had in a while. Chicken was outstanding, side good as well. I will be back . People super nice, great service.

Nice guy. Ribs had good flavor, however it was not cooked enough so it was tough. I cooked it for 3 hours at 300 and it was great.

Service with a smile. We got the full rack of rids and the chop beef with Mac and cheese and those greens. Very tasty and well portioned well definitely be back.

Got the 4 rib lunch with mac n cheese and baked beans. Ribs a very tender and seasoned to perfection with the special sauce on it that brings it together, mac n cheese is baked n creamy, baked beans are just the right amount of sweetness. Perfection

My family and myself from the UK, were recently on vacation and stayed in the local area of St Petersburg. Whilst on our vacation we searched the best reviewed BBQ places around locally within a 20 mile radius. We had good experiences and bad experiences in some BBQ places, but we could not leave to go back home to the UK without going back to fattys. The food was absolutely amazing and very good value for money. I highly recommend fattys for BBQ food, you will not be disappointed.

As u walk in. The staff is kind very helpful as this was my first time ordering. I got Ribb’s as unfortunately for me the chicken was going to take longer then I had to wait. The food is delicious a must try if u love BBQ as I do. Very generous portions. It will fill u up. Fattys is a great place with great food and lovely people. Do ur self the favor of stopping in. Update: since the can’t do another review like I want and give them 5 more stars because they deserve it. Best BBQ in town yeah I said it. What are u waiting for go try it out. Again it’s doing ur self the favor. Matter of fact ima go grab something now.

I've been wanting BBQ for a long time and now that I've got it I couldn't wait to eat it. It satisfied every piece of my tummy 😂 everything was delicious from the ribs, chicken, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, collard greens, potato salad and banana pudding. Even the bread was fresh and the soda that came with the dinner was nice and cold🥶. Thank you J Sapp for satisfying my cravings. If y'all haven't had yourself some Fatty's go on down to846 49th St So it's worth every penny.

This is great neighborhood BBQ joint. I used to go to the old spot there and it was good but you can tell the new operation is trying to work on their craft. I get the chopped beef sandwich with spicy sauce. It's got a nice little heat to it but not crazy and the flavor is a fantastic mustard style sauce. Service is extremely friendly and you can tell they want to serve great food with a smile. St Pete is not known as a BBQ town by any means but this is quite possibly the best we have here.

My experience at Fatty's BBQ always exceeds my expectations! I love the fact that the owner dedicated this restaurant to his late sister who passed from breast cancer. The food and portion sizes are overly filling, and not only that, the sauce is tasty!! I recommend the ribs, collard greens, and of course the macaroni and cheese, as well as other menu items. I will be returning as this is the ONLY place I eat ribs from!!

We were in the area for another appointment and decided to stop in and grab some BBQ while we were waiting. The staff and owner were very friendly and offered me a water while I waited. We ordered chopped beef ($12 for 12oz) because they did not have brisket and we ordered the pork ($10 for 12oz). We asked for the sauce on the side since we weren't sure which one we would like and headed home. Unfortunately when we got home we didn't have any sauce. This was disappointing because that's a huge part of a great BBQ experience. The pork was also chopped but I was expecting pulled pork. We did not have any sauce at home so we ate the meat dry which was disappointing. The meat did have a nice smoked flavor and it would have probably received 5 stars if we had sauce.

Food is great everything was on point but the beef could be more tender flavor is definitely there tho.

The bar be que is very good. It was n ot undercooked or overcooked, it was j7st right. The sauce is the stat, put that eat and then go to sleep. It was great.

The best bbq. Everything is made top notch. Beans, greens, sauce, meats etc.. big portions. Passionate grill master. Huge smoker and grill inside. We’ll be back.
