Very disappointed. Food was left overs and dressing was spoiled with loud smell. I wanted to buy a family member soul food after being hospitalized with life threatening diagnosis causes her not to eat for over two weeks. Well she was ready to eat but the sad part is if she would have ate that food she literally would have died. We waited for owners to arrive only to tell us the food was left in car for hours and hours. Which was far from the truth I explained I have hospital discharge papers to reflect his lie. We were cursed and put out despite the awareness of the entire matter. I would not recommend this place for food. The service was awful we were cursed handled very disrespectfully. All we wanted was a refund.

First time here. Friends have been telling me to try it out. WOW. I got the pork chop dinner over rice. So tender and flavorful. The gravy is so good that comes from cooking them. I also got the yams and cornbread dressing. I love that cornbread dressing, reminds me of my mom’s. The yams were just right. So worth stopping in and getting some good soul food. I can’t wait to try the boil next time. You all need to get down there and get some good. Not to left out, the service was great. Friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help. Thanks so much for a great first time visit.

Catfish dinner today was VERY disappointing. The cuts of fish were NOT catfish. When placing my order the sweet girls stated they were out of catfish at which time the older women (owner?) told them they had catfish. Did she think this old white lady would not know the difference? I can taste that the fish was fried in same oil as fried chicken. Grease is literally dripping off the fish, fish is glistening with oil. Paid $17 for this meal and I have to toss it cuz it is so gross. "Field peas" taste like canned food, very salty, and bean snaps in the peas were mushy. Mac & cheese was very dry. Cornbread was hard and somewhat stale. Its a shame that selling this deceitful meal was more important than maintaining a repeat customer.

Family owned business 🥰 I got the oxtails over rice with Mac n chz and yams. The yams were seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Mac n chz could use a little more love, longer in the oven. I cleaned the oxtail bones, and they were amazing! All the kids had chicken, and it came out fresh as I was ordering. Hubby got the seafood bag and had no complaints. The kids didn't like the spicy corn, so I recommend a non spicy one as an option bc that would definitely sale!

Came before closing. Food was absolutely delicious. Had fish cooked to order it was great. I also had a seafood boil & the butter was to die for. Chicken for the kids they ate it all. & even had the pot roast was good quality.

The boiled shrimp dinner was great !! Great seasoning and butter sauce . Looking forward to a chicken dinner.

I am a foster parent and I receive foster feed meals from here occasionally and they are always so delicious, my foster kids absolutely love when the meals comes from here. And we occasionally have dinner out as a family and this is our go to place of choice. Thanks for loving and participation in feeding the boys and girls in foster care!❤️

I haven't personally dined in so I can't comment on the atmosphere, but if it's anything like the service and quality of the food, I'd give it 5 stars too. Food: the food is so good I eat here at least once a week. Seriously some of the best fried pork chops and chicken around. Oh and the yams... yall. They are literally my favorite. (Even over my own) Service: anytime I've ordered and they don't have what I want, they call and make up for it. They are the most genuine people. 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend.

GREAT HOME COOKIN'!!!.REAL FOOD. NONE o that chemically produced, processed food like the restaurant chains. Personal and up close service, in a REAL family type atmosphere... I know them and they know me by name and face. You can really "have it your way" with no extra charges. Good, honest customer service. LOVE this place!!!

This was me and my wife first time going to this restaurant. The young lady who is the cashier was very nice and she made sure that we had everything we needed. The young man who fixed the food was awesome. He told us what they had. It's a mix of souls food and seafood. It's taste really really good. It's a must that you go and get some of the best food in town. From 1 through 10, I give them a 10+. For visitors you have to visit this restaurant. 👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾👍🏾

I don't think we understand this restaurant. So we had these coupons that we PURCHASED from Sweet Deals Pensacola....so on arriving we were told they were no longer accepting those coupons!? Girl we PAID for these but ok...we thought we might order but there was absolutely NO seafood. There was chicken, fried and baked..there were pork chops.. there baked spaghetti and about 6 different veggies..but there was all this seafood pictured and listed all over the outside of the building....NO seafood..finally we were informed they did not take cards (credit nor debit) we just left. We were genuinely looking forward to trying it...but we sure won't be returning. Oh and if you have those coupons from Sweet Deals Pensacola you know..the ones with NO EXPIRATION DATE...just light a match...they are worthless now.

I always order the same thing for delivery... the fried porkchops with yellow rice and the peas and snaps .... not once have they had the yellow rice available, and about half the time, they don't have the peas and snaps...I'm sorry but if you know that those are very popular sides then maybe you should possibly make more of them? Just a thought from a regular who likes the porkchops but would prefer getting the sides they want as well

That cashier so sweet but owner don't say hi to customers or even say thank you come again my meat was not tender enough and bland, cake inconsistent red velvet was good one day a week later I bought it tasted like banana velvet lol key lime taste like vanilla macaroni is a NO not alot of flavor in this food

***THIS MY OPINION***( because owner respond back in an argumentative way) Seafood was overcooked.. The baked chicken is bland (worst i've ever tasted), I tried the Mac n cheese two times once it was cheesy next time watery, cornbread dressing has potential but needs work , sweet potatoes are good... food on line after 4-5 pm looks old like it's time to rotate a new batch....the owner needs to ride to Mobile, Al and taste Mary's southern cooking and adjust his seasonings.. Humble yourself and just do better these just reviews are to tell other customers our experience.. and don't let the owner's response back to your review make you delete reviews... I saw someone review last week said chicken bland but it's gone you want bully me to delete review... I supported him 5 times spent at 40- 50 each time just trying different stuff before I gave my honest review..

The food was not worth the price. I ordered the crab legs and shrimp it was not heavily seasoned. You could barely taste it. The shrimp tasted rubbery too. Save your money and go to crackin crab or crafty crab

The food does not taste the same. I used to love this place but was disappointed. The buffet was just sitting, not fresh. Chicken was bland, dressing was bland. For the first time ever in my life i threw away an entire crab boil plate. It was not fresh and texture resembled rubber. I was extremely disappointed and let down. The empty parking lot during lunch should have told me all I needed to know. Update: The owners responses speak volumes professionally. We purchased 2 crab plates, 2 slices of dry cake, a dry old chicken plate, and drinks as well. It’s not serious enough for me to argue with an establishment about how bad the food was. The service wasn’t terrible it was the quality and taste of food. Again i am disappointed at how down hill this restaurant has gone. It used to be one of my favs. Johns Seafood even tastes better now, gas station chicken plates were fresher than the plate I purchased with my hard earned money. Please stop discrediting a customers experience.. just unprofessional, so now i will rank your service lower. Be blessed.

Definitely took a turn for the worst, I ordered the fried chicken plate with mac and cheese, and cornbread dressing. My wife ordered the seafood boil with crab legs, shrimp, potatoes and corn The chicken was Definitely old and maybe fried 4hrs before I got there The Mac and cheese was watery and bland The cornbread dressing was decent. My wife food The SHRIMP smh was rubber and Definitely had a smell on them. Wasn't edible to eat! Once we smelled the shrimp we assumed the whole bag was rotten. The Can Dr. Pepper the only thing the same. Update: can't reply to the owner comments. That was no fake review and the word is definitely out that yall fell off the wagon. Your food was Trash and if your granny approved of that food she can't cook either. Buddy! Good day to you as well. Ps salt is your friend.

Great Food it is takeout but worth it.

Food is good but you have to be on top of it if you cater with them. Get a contract with them with all of the details outlined so there are no surprises on event day. And call every day until your event! - we thought we were getting collards, got cabbage - thought we were getting yams, did not receive any yams - we had to run and purchase the tins the food goes in - food pick up time was 4:30; was late to our event bc received the food at 5:15/5:20

We visited here on our vacation to Pensacola & the food was good. We will be back. The fish/shrimp were seasoned just right. I had the dressing/yams & I don’t know what they put n it then but it’s the reason I’ll be back. The only complaint my boyfriend had was his fish Poboy was lacking sauce and veggies & we didn’t know we needed to order a side with it. Another thing, get in the habit of putting condiments in your customer bags since y’all no longer allow dine in. We checked our food before we left & figured we had hot sauce, tater sauce, salt/black pepper down n the bag and since we was visiting our place didn’t have those things but the food & customer service was great anyway.

Parking lot a little difficult but very good

They did their absolute biggest one in there, the food was delicious, the workers were so kind and considerate to us all, we asked for a cup of ice they came right with it, we asked for a different drink they came right with it, they were also constantly checking on us as we were eating to make sure everything was to our liking. Overall this place gets 5 out of 5 stars over here!

I ate the food so fast I didn’t take any pictures but the food was real good, the hospitality was good. They have some fiyah wings. The seafood and lawddd you have to try the pound cake. Will be coming back.

Easy to order, especially if you are familiar with the menu. I ordered a half pound spicy shrimp boil...apparently the shrimp have gotten smaller...too much sausage and not the appealing kind either and eggs, it's been a while since I last visited so eggs coming with the boil is different...personally I don't like them in there. It would be nice to have a boil with just shrimp, potatoes, corn and a wedge of lemon. Oh and I got my mom their red velvet which she loves...5.98 for one slice tho...dang

Me and my fiance had the Crabs leg's and shrimps boil. It tasted amazing. Yvette showed us awesome service. Yesssss it is the best in the City 🔥🔥 Definitely worth my $55.00 We will be back again soon.

Ordered from this restaurant on DoorDash because I was celebrating my freedom from the hospital with my daughter! I was definitely not disappointed! My daughter got a shrimp boil that came with one piece of corn on the cob and what looked like 3-4 small red potatoes halved. I got mine with crawfish and had the same veggies. We both got the house mix sauce which was a garlic butter with a Cajun flavor and jalapeños it seemed like. We shared and were impressed with both meals! The shrimp and crawfish were cooked perfectly and easy to peel and the flavor was perfect! I will definitely order my seafood from there anytime I’m in Pensacola from here on out! Delivery was great, food was perfect and we definitely support the locals! All around A+!

April 1 2023 Today was my first time eating here. I always thought it was just a seafood place. I dont eat seafood so i never ate here until i heard the commercial on the radio. I got the smothered pork chop meal with mac and cheese, collard greens, and cornbread. I had the strawberry shortcake when i finished it i was so mad for only buying one piece it was so good. EVERYTHING was slap yo momma good. I didnt want to put my spoon down lmao.

My friend had the Shrimp boil was good but the potatoes just was over cook and she find a piece egg shell in her pound cake. I order the chicken wings dinner. It was good and cabbage and corn on the cob was to.
