Visited Erie and tried Gordon's Smash Burger and the Diablo Sausage and Shroom pizza. Both are highly recommended! I’ve had pizza in New Haven, CT, but it wasn’t really my style. This pizza, however, hit all the right notes. The flavors, crust, and toppings were exactly what I want in a pizza: delicious, satisfying, and light enough that I could keep eating without feeling heavy afterward. The Smash Burger was simple but really well done, and overall, this place offers great value for the money. It’s definitely worth what you spend for the quality you get. A must-visit if you're in the area!

Great variety of goodies and food was excellent!

I love how friendly the staff was when I called in a pickup order while working. 15 minutes later I’m picking up my first smash burger with truffle fries. I’m a “medium well” kinda guy, barely … barely a hint of pink is superb, to me! So when, without even asking a burger comes to me with drizzled mozzarella, mushrooms and caramelized onions… you know they had me. For you who like your meat still twitching you might have to request your preferences but if you don’t that’s what you’ll get … “perfection” loL. As far as the fries I expected over kill but, no. Garlic and onion seasoning I believe with just a bit of well cooked cheese web scattered. To me that’s good for dipping in ketchup and being eaten as fries were meant to be eaten. A nice little side of potato salad and I was able to leave a 17 or 18% tip at 20$ what a deal! Will I be going back.. um yes.

Nice place to eat, but not one healthy option on the menu.

Mannn I'm disappointed because I wanted to give this place 5 stars, everything looked amazing and tasted amazing and it was so mind-blowing delicious...... Until I found a 3 inch hair in my pork taco, it grossed me out and ruined the experience unfortunately, I still ate the other food but didn't eat that half of the taco 🥲 I know I was one of the last customers but that really sucked.. besides that incident the mac and cheese was devine and the pizza delicious!

Really good drink and food options. Our only food complaint (if you can call it that), is that the sauce was a bit bland on the Margherita pizza we had. Everything else was great and the staff were all really friendly towards our large family. Would definitely recommend.

What a cool place! It’s an open kitchen restaurant nestled between a butcher’s shop and a craft brews store. It was hopping when we arrived and we were lucky to snag the last table on a Thursday evening, so looks like reservations are a good idea. It was super loud, so dinner conversation was challenging but a great excuse to sit closer together. There’s a limited regular menu plus a page of specials available. We enjoyed their smash burger, which we were told was the most popular item. The truffle fries were good; the regular fries were super salty. Fried spicy Nashville chicken sandwich was very good. All meals were served with a deli side; today’s was a cold noodle dish that had a kick. The pizzas done in their wood fired oven looked great and were highly recommended by our server. Staff were super friendly. Check out the cool public washroom- the signs in the ladies’ room is worth a chuckle! Recommend checking out this place!

Just had an epic meal at Firestone’s Kitchen. Saw the high rating on Googlemaps and gave a call for a reservation. My whole experience, from the call to arrival… to immediately being seated at our reserved bar seats (with a full house) right in front of the busy wood-fired pizza oven, the ambiance of the busy open kitchen was all superb! Megan O. was our server and she was flawlessly personable. When I asked about choosing between 3 different specials that all sounded great, she said, “the pork chop, 1000%!” Megan wasn’t wrong. It was probably the best pork chop I’ve ever had. Served on peach BBQ sauce with cheesy polenta that melted in my mouth with each bite. And grilled corn on the cob. I watched the chef sear the salted chop on the Big Green Egg grill and then watched it go into the pizza oven. C’mon attention to detail much! Over the top! After my first few bites Chef Martin Firestone came over to personally check on us. This place is RAD. Also a good selection of N/A beers too, alongside their craft beer, whiskey and wine list. The combo of butcher shop, bottle shop and hip kitchen is a winner. Definitely getting saved in my foodie file. Great job Team Firestone!

Great food, atmosphere, and prices!

We visited Erie and we were so excited to try this place based on such good reviews. I don’t know if we just got the least popular items but we were disappointed. I got the steak sandwich which was okay but nothing special and my boyfriend got the margarita pizza - It would have been good but there was so much spinach on it that it overpowered all the other flavors. We ended up going to chipotle after because we were still hungry.

Clean dining area, staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable. Food was excellent.

First time here. Everything was delicious. I got pepperoni pizza hubby got fried chicken spicy sandwich, which was amazing too. We shared. Melissa was our waitress and took our picture. She suggested taking it at the wine room, great suggestion!!!! A must stop at for everyone.

Great food, fast efficient, friendly service. They are using green egg grills. I wish I was hungrier. Pizza was great, truffle fries were excellent too. Make a reservation or come early.

My son and I were in from Buffalo for a lacrosse tournament. We ate at the bar. The bartender was friendly, the chef was friendlier, the food was awesome. Great place

Absolutely DELICIOUS sandwich and pork chop. Amazing atmosphere and the SMELLS of the place were mouthwatering! All the waitresses were incredible, attentive, friendly, social, and kind. This place's meat is amazing and we definitely enjoyed ourselves! 10/10!!! Highly recommend going.

Wasn't expecting much when we pulled in parkinglot, but wow!woe!, they r serious!, group of 7 everything ordered was great, pizzas, smashburger, nac n cheesewith green chili's, pork collar was killer!, truffle fries, really great after a day of soccer, they even cook on big green eggs u won't b disappointed, even with limited menu

Firestone's is hands down the resturant in Erie with THE BEST plate of food. Beautiful plating, fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked proteins that are well-seasoned everytime. Standout meals are the bone-in pork chop with peach bourbon bbq sauce and the swordfish with herb couscous any cut of steak with the chimmichurri. The food is so inspiring and unlike anywhere I've eaten before. Every pizza is delectable as well. You can't go wrong with anything you get here. Shoutout to the wonderful wait staff as well. Super friendly/helpful/fun!

The food is absolutely amazing!! The employees all seem like they have fun and run a very positive environment and it shows well in the kitchen. Top and fresh ingredients. Always a surprise every time I go. 10 out of 10!!! I love that there are new specials running every week and the more popular ones come back giving me a chance to get something new🥰

This restaurant is a TREAT! It’s a not miss on our weekend trips. Such a talented chef and staff (best servers I’ve encountered). Family friendly (!), great for date nights (I imagine). We always order specials, and are ALWAYS impressed. Firestones is on the shortlist of our favorite restaurants. We are forever WOW-ed!!

Shared a burger (very good) and a steak sandwich (wouldn't recommend it) take one bite and the slice of steak comes out and you have to grab it... Wish they used brisket. Meat market was very good. Got a too notch Ribeye. Overall nice place.

I wholeheartedly endorse this exceptional establishment.

Brought a customer here for dinner, they were from Italy. We quite enjoyed the food and drink. I would recommend adding some mustard or spices to the macaroni salad as it was completely flavorless. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was excellent. It was challenging to hold a conversation as the live music was quite loud.

This was our 1st visit and the atmosphere is quite nice. There were just a few patrons but the service was certainly sub-par and the food was average. It was cold and rainy so we asked to have the fireplace turned on. "It doesn't work, its just for looks" was the response but Maurey Povich said that was a lie. I'd like to think things are better when the place is jumping.

Best food Erie has to offer. Kind of pricey as it was about $40 a person for me, but the food quality is fantastic and 100% worth the price. We will be back!

The pizza here is so good! We also tried the Nashville chicken and it was really good also! The service was friendly and I was amazed at how fast the guy made pizzas. He was quick and efficient at his job!

We barely walked out the door, and I couldn't wait to leave a review. I am from Erie, grew up here, but live in Cleveland now. And this restaurant trumps every place we've been in the past 5 years! We literally found this place by accident, and couldn't be happier. It is perfectly small, with more integrity than most high end restaurants I've been to in any "big" city anywhere else. Food was PHENOMENAL!! Filet mignon was the best I've ever had, and pork belly tacos were simply impeccable. Chef was someone we could've easily talked to for hours, so kind and personable. I CANNOT WAIT TO GO BACK!!!! ❤️

One of my favorite restaurants in Erie! The dill pickle pizza is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The environment is casual but still upscale. New specials every week just in time for weekend dining. I'll go back over and over. My favorite is shrimp and grits, but I'm hoping to see truffle gnocchi on the menu again. I missed it last time and can't wait to try it.

I was excited to see a Mara Forni oven. Was expecting some great pizza. Usually Neopolitan style pizzas from that type of oven. When the pizza arrived the dough was flat and dense and the crust was very greasy. Needless to say I was very disappointed. On the other hand the steak sandwich was very good.

What a great place to stop for good food and a drink! Plus, you can get excellent meat & groceries and carryout beer & wine. There's really no other place in Erie that offers this and they do it exceptionally

One of the best meals I've had in Erie as of late. Don't sleep on the shrimp bánh mì - whoever put this on the menu knows how to eat - it's 10/10. When I see offerings like this on a menu, suddenly a place will have my full attention. IYKYK. The shrimp were huge, veggies crunchy and the sauce was everything. No pics because I was busy stuffing my face. Truffle fries? Yes please. My spouse ordered the veal special and really enjoyed it. He's very picky about his meats and when he orders something like this in a restaurant, the expectations are high. I believe he licked the plate like an animal. Probably would recommend making a reservation though. We didn't have one and were lucky they squeezed us in.

My wife and I went here for our most recent evening together. Our server was amazing, we are very grateful for that! The food was beyond my expectations. I ordered the Mushroom Pizza and Fish Tacos. The pizza was a culinary adventure of flavor, truffles and truffle oil are one of my favorite foods to enjoy. My wife ordered the Steak and Mashed Potatoes. She was also very pleased with the quality and flavor of the food. We will definitely be back to enjoy the rest of the menu!! Thank you for an amazing experience!!

This place is awesome. We had a party of 8, sitting at a large table by the door. We had reservations ahead of time and that was easy and flawless. The food was fantastic, we tried 5 different pizzas and a couple of appetizers. 10/10 recommend.

I went with my daughter for lunch. The steak and potato soup was fantastic! Service was fadt and friendly. I'm hoping to go back soon and take my husband with me. He'll love it too.

Honestly, some of the best food in the city. Chef Firestone Cleary puts passion and love in his cooking. All the food is spectacular and I really love how it’s cooked right in front of you in the open kitchen concept. Any complaints about the preparation of chef’s food really must be delirious. The ambiance is great and service is always on point. Nice selection of bourbon and the cool thing is if you want to go pick out a bottle of wine from the cap n cork within the restaurant that’s not a problem at all. Always recommend this place and will continue to do so.

One of my absolute favorite spots in town! The menu gives you enough options without overwhelming you with countless offerings or options. As well as a changing dinner menu. Personally, I love getting a seat at the bar. Not only do you get to have amazing food, but you also get to enjoy the show as the clean and corridinated kitchen prepares and crafts everything in front of you. The steaks always look so appetizing every time I watch them pull one off and watch the pizzas go in and out of the massive oven in hopes the next one is mine. On my last visit, one of their offerings included a toasted brioche or bread of some kind. I watched as he was about to plate it, and unsatisfied by the minor amount of charring on the bread, he discarded it and sliced two fresh pieces and toasted them as well. Just the fine details make your experience all that much better. The atmosphere leaves little to be desired; the only fault I've generally ever found is that they are absolutely packed, and the service does their best to keep up. They are friendly and polite always; they are just very busy when I go in. I have no doubt that this is a very good problem to have in the food industry. With a little preplanning and avoiding their rush hours, you can absolutely avoid the only minor issues I've ever experienced.

We had a party of 7 with reservations on Friday night. When we arrived the table had our name on it and was right next to the door. We attempted to seat ourselves at our labeled table, because the hostess was very busy. The hostess (who we learned later is also the manager) stopped us and firmly told us we needed to wait for her to seat us even though she was aware it was our reserved table. We had to stand in the way of many customers and in front of seated tables just until she was ready, so she could let us sit at the empty table with our name on it a couple feet away. Three of us had pizza which was very good. Two had flat iron steaks and one had a smash burger. One flat iron was extremely tough, but cooked medium rare as ordered. One of the flat irons was ordered medium, but came out medium rare like the one that was ordered medium rare. The waitress was very helpful and pleasant and sent one back to be cooked longer. It came back out still purple in the middle, clearly not medium. This was mentioned to the waitress who offered to send it back again, but the one ordering it said no thanks. The manager came to the table offering to send it for more cooking. The one ordering said no thanks again. She planned to just take it home and give it to her family member who would eat it, but she didn't say this to the manager. The manager (hostess earlier) was aggressive, rude, and rolled her eyes when she was told no thanks multiple times about taking it back. She threw up her hands and said how she'd tried to make it right but SHE won't let me. Now, I feel for people working with the public. I am in the service industry and have been for many years. People can be difficult, but we were not and we were not trying to be unreasonable. I never complain even if I'm unhappy with a meal, but after this experience with the manager I mentioned my smashburger was very red inside, too. The manager did offer to take the burger back and cook it some more. (Which I took a bite out of before seeing the red inside, it has cheese on it, and all the toppings. How are you taking that back to cook it more?) I said no thanks, already deciding I would just eat the fries and take the burger to our dogs. I didn't say I would give it to the dogs, just said no thanks. At first she put the blame on me because "they cook everything medium rare unless otherwise requested". I never order medium rare. I said yes, I typically say how I want it cooked, but I forgot so not to worry about it. Then she blamed the waitress for not telling me, who was great the entire time and at this point the only employee we found to be helpful. I've never been to a restaurant who has a medium rare standard including burgers without asking how you want it cooked. I saw no sign saying this was their standard, maybe I missed it. I was not asked how I wanted it cooked. I told her not to worry about it. I just wanted them to know since it happened to two of us at the same table and it was our first time there (though the one one flat iron was ordered medium two times). This didn't go over well and she stormed off. There were two of us who stayed after the others left to finish our drink. The manager apparently also clears tables, so she came over to split and clear one of our corner tables off since the party split up. We normally wouldn't see a problem with this, but most people would say excuse me or something to acknowledge that they were disruptive. She was clearly still irritated with us voicing our concerns about the undercooked meat so politeness doesn't apply. On the way out, I tapped her on the forearm and said quietly she should consider working on her management skills. This resulted in her yelling, "DON'T TOUCH ME" as she backed away and told me to leave which we were already doing. In hindsight, I should have requested a different manager or called later and asked for the owner, but after this experience we have no interest in ever going to Friestone's again. You would expect with a higher price point you would be treated professionally.

Very cool, casual, place to eat. If you are looking for a different place to eat, this is it. The other half of the restaurant is a meat market. I had the schnitzel, one of their specials, which was very good. They have a large variety of unique pizzas to choose from. Our friends got a pizza covered in fresh arugula. These pizzas are decent size and could easily be shared. My husband got the smashburger that is made from three different types of beef. I snagged a piece of the beef and it was delicious! He really enjoyed the burger. They have a huge cooler of craft beers to choose from and a separate area filled with a variety of wines. Service was quick and servers were friendly. Will definitely be planning a second visit.

Great dining experience... the smash burgers didn't disappoint!

Food is amazing and the prices aren't bad at all. The menu is a bit small, but they rotate in and out seasonal specials. The service is good and the food comes out in a reasonable time. If you've never been, I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed my time here and the service was friendly and quick. I had a smash burger and my wife had baba ghanoush as a lunch special. Food was tasty, maybe just a tad on the pricey side. Business is interesting with a butcher shop on the left, restaurant in the middle and to go alcohol on the right.

Super spot, great food and good atmosphere. Can't beat the smoke of the big green eggs. My only complaint is cold plates, easy fix then this is 10/10. Steak was cooked to perfection, but a large steak quickly cools on a cold plate.

Unique venue with excellent food and good service. We stopped here for lunch on our way to Pittsburgh and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Traveling through the area, the setting is very nice, I understand the owner is handling the steaks. Yesterday I had an outstanding picanha steak that would rank in my top 10 all time steaks. Today I went back as I was also informed I missed out on their pizza. The entire staff is very outgoing, smiles, checking on your status. If seated at the bar, you are sitting directly in front of the kitchen, which I loved seeing the kitchen staff work. Artists in their field. Really nice experience at Firestone's

New and modern restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. The smells from the open area kitchen fill the room with amazing scents. Service was prompt and friendly while seating is limited there was still plenty of space to not feel cramped. Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was delicious with just the right amount of hotness mixed with sweet. Their French fries were flavorful and perfectly crispy with sea salt. This would be the perfect lunch meetup or date night spot for us busy families if you find a babysitter. Will absolutely visit again.

I just had one of the burgers in my life, perfectly cooked. The pickle pizza was brought to house personally by one of the owners when it was forgot in a door dash order. Amazing for them to do that and it shows the dedication to their customers. The food is always amazing we will be regular customers.

Great spot for lunch or dinner, a snack or brew. Wine and beer shop too. Special ovens and smoker grills. Engaging staff. Dinner specials daily and they've been great so far. Super city-edge venue; we're lucky to have them in the neighborhood.

Food never disappoints! Reservations recommended but not always necessary. Don't miss the creme brulee cheesecake! If you like pineapple, definitely try their black diamond martini!

Absolutely FANTASTIC food. Tried a smorgasbord of their pizzas and they all were phenomenal. You can tell the chef really puts a lot of thought and creativity into their recipes because the pizzas' flavors were perfectly blended together with gourmet ingredients. It's not a diner, drive-in, or dive, but I can totally see Guy Fieri coming here because the food is just that good. Also, shout out to Stephanie who was a great server and gave us amazing recommendations!
