Hate we missed breakfast but lunch was good

Country restaurant with delicious food. Friday is fish and steak day. We opted for fish. It was not overly breaded, flaky and again delicious.

I love it there the staff are so nice, they are very helpful and caring, and I love talking to them!

Excellent little cafe in the middle of nowhere. I loved it. Lots of choices. They even have seafood on Thursday n Friday. I can't wait to try. The prices are excellent and the food was amazing. Real burgers, not those nasty square things.

This place provides decent food and incredible convenience for its location. Food is not exceptionally great, just simple cafe food. I’ve had better, but I’ve also definitely had much worse. Staff is friendly, and the restaurant is clean. Definitely recommend.

First time here I love the food and service

The food resembled a good home cooked meal but in the best way possible! The staff was very friendly and personable. We sat in the back of the restaurant to accommodate my family of 5 and my only suggestion is to put a divider up to block the dirty dishes that are waiting to be cleaned.

We stumbled on this place while riding the Blue Ridge Parkway. I guess mostly the locals know about it and that’s a shame. The place was as clean as a pin, staff was great, food was great and very reasonably priced. I’ll be back.

We were on our way to Stone Mountain to hike. The breakfast was great and the staff were very kind. We wrapped up our meal and went to leave when our car wouldn’t start. We asked a server that was leaving if we could get a jump. She went and got who I believe was the owner. Came out and found we had a loose battery terminal (we had just bought the car and had little knowledge of the work done prior). He fixed us up and jumped us. Wouldn’t take money. Was just a great guy. We drove the car down the road and figured the battery had charged. We shut down the car to test the theory and of course it didn’t start up. The battery had drained. Right as we realized this, a guy drove by and instantly asked if we needed help. Just so happened he was the son in law of the guy that just helped us out. So the restaurant was great. And the family running it is great.

Dropped in off the Blue Ridge Parkway after camping the night. Everything was five stars. Service, food, affordable prices!

As always.....one of the BEST places to eat up on and around the Parkway.

A small quaint local establishment. The food was reasonably priced. The service was quick and attentive. We had a burger and patty melt. It was served hot..very tasty. Its the kind of out of the way place you love to find when you are hungry.

I cannot put into words how good this place is to eat at and I cannot say enough about the service that we got we got lost because we are truck drivers never been up here before we called them talk to the ladies that work there they gave us directions not only did they give us Good directions they gave us some of the best food like I said I cannot say enough of these two ladies I wish I know their names good food recommend it to anyone that's in this area you will not find friendlier people and some of the best food around this little town if you ever come this way please stop tell them the truck drivers that got lost sent you they'll know who you're talking about lol! If I am a hundred miles away I will be detouring just to come and eat here again!!

We got there after 6 and they close at 7, but the waitress was so sweet. We really enjoyed eating there and talking to everyone. Good attitudes make a huge difference!

Out of the way place. Great diner menu. Had a bbq plate with true Carolina vinegar sauce, the standard for bbq. Prices are low, quality good. Will go back.

If you live in the western "suburbs" of Mount Airy (If you know the area you are laughing now) you know there isn't much to choose from for some good eats. But every place needs a good local spot to hang out, meet friends, grab a bite, chat a spell. Well, here it is, this is it. Simple fare, but not all the same old, same old food. And on weekends they add steaks and such to take it up a knotch more. The menu comes complete with multiple ice cream flavors to top off lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is family- Christian, just the way we like it, wholesome. Bring the kids. If somehow you didn't know about this place, get in the car and drive up the mountain, and see why all the cars are parked out front!
