Well i gots to add this joint to the list! Hubby and i were searching for some wings in the area and stumbled upon this perfect hideaway on a rainy day. Seven, the host, was very hospitable and patient as we ordered and messed up the order lol enjoyed the food none the less! (4 stars for atmo because i don’t like the news but who cares)

I just left the restaurant. I was curious of the food there so I decided to order the sides because if the size aren’t great, I definitely won’t like anything else. Happy to say the rice and peas are FANTASTIC and the macaroni and cheese is way more than I expected it to be. I’ll definitely be back for more.

The food was amazing, that’s fresh off the grill taste can’t be beat, now I have a reason to go to Bartow

The previous wonderful reviews led us to this gem! We were passing through Bartow, Googling independently owned restaurants and thankfully stopped here. The food was delicious and the owner was extremely nice & hospitable! While awaiting our meals, he graciously brought samples of chicken and ribs to our vehicle, preparing us for the delicious food that was to come. The dining room and bathroom were very clean, making us confident the same cleanliness was practiced in the kitchen. We continued our journey happy, full and satisfied. Went here for lunch with my husband 2 days ago for the first time. I ordered the fried Chicken, macaroni salad, and the macaroni and cheese. My husband ordered the jerk chicken, the baked beans, and the candied yams. It all was DELICIOUS!!! The owner helped us and he is the NICEST guy you will ever meet!!! He even surprised us and brought over a plate of his smoked ribs he wanted us to try (which were THE BEST 🤤) and a side of plantains!! Hands down the best food I have had in a very long time! We will be back soon!

I just stopped by here with my family and I was just amazed by the level of service that I received . My dirty rice, Mac’n cheese ribs were delicious and the owner went above and beyond to make sure that we had a good experience. We loved everything 😍

Everything tastes good I’ll definitely be back. Service is wonderful. He could tell I was conflicted between the yams or sweet plantain so he gave me the side of sweet plantain free, that’s what bring customers back. A1

Food is great. Atmosphere is pretty kool... I had the ribs and My Fiance had the jerk wings (I had some of those too)!😋 The jerk wings are Amazing! The dirty rice and yams are pretty good too. The chocolate cake is moist and good as well. I will definitely be coming here multiple times during the month.

Stopped in for lunch with a few coworkers and this was a very pleasant surprise. I had the jerk wings, but between all of us we tried everything and all the food was SOOOO GOOD!!! Maybe the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had, honestly, and the Jerk chicken was the perfect amount of spicy. If you’re near Bartow around lunch time, you should absolutely take the extra 5 minutes to drive here and treat yourself! Just be aware seating is very slightly limited (no seating for groups bigger than 4) and I am positive that once people find out about this place seats are going to fill up VERY quickly, so you may want to consider take away, lol. ***Edit to add- ya’ll …. It was so good I went back for dinner too, and it was still SO GOOD! I also got a chance to talk to the owner too - super nice guy. Please support this small business!!!***

First time I’ve been to Flava Joint. I have passed it several times but never noticed it. It looks like a “whole in the wall” in restaurant terms, but it’s a “whole flava” restaurant. James “Seven” is a friendly owner and dared you to try any of his dishes. I was craving fried chicken and it did not disappoint. I also got a few ribs to try and they were well seasoned and falling off the bone. I will be back. I think I found my neighborhood hangout!

Tried to order delivery, i tried two different apps, uber eats and grub hub. The dinner plates say they come with 2 sides but on neither app does it give me the option to choose the side i want… instead i have to add it separately and the price be more than it should be. Ended up not ordering anything since i wasn’t able to choose the sides, it just didn’t make sense to spend 45.50 on a 21.00 plate cuz i have to add the sides separately, yall should try fix that issue because the food look so good and it’s a bummer the options are not showing for us to choose, it just asks regular or large and that’s it, none of the sides appear. Hope to be able to order online in the future.

Food was good, nice people. The chef was super nice, gave us some free macaroni salad! She also has a wonderful smile!

Just driving through and decided to stop based on some great reviews and we couldn't of been happier! We had the bbq and jerk wings and the fried chicken and everything was beyond good and the sides were all great also including the dirty rice, fries, slaw, and potato salad but the Mac n cheese stood out as the top choice! We aren't local but will be back anytime we are up this way! Support this place...you will not be sorry and the owners are very friendly and personable! Highly recommended!

Are you ready for some mouth watering southern food that will leave your taste buds craving more? Then you found the place! My boyfriend and I happend upon Flava Joint on the way home one night. We thought why not. Boy we were not prepared for the scrumptious food we got! By the time we got done inhaling our dinner, we looked at eachother and thought, we should have order more. We have been craving this food all week long. Of course we had to order again. And...we were not disappointed! We have now found our new favorite place to eat. You have to give Flava Joint a try! You won't regret it!

My husband found this place, We ordering fried chicken with two sides. While we waiting outside, the owner was super nice & gave us BBQ chicken wing. Oh my goodness! It’s was soooo good & the BBQ sauce was homemade. I’m seriously looking forward to dinner. The flavor on the chicken was spot on & that BBQ was amazing. Come stop by you will not regret. Definitely home cooking for sure. My husband & I just moved in the area, we was craving for southern cooking. First let me say the customer service was amazing & professional. Now the food was sooooo good! Fried chicken was my favorite and mac & cheese & the canied yams. Let me put it this way every thing was my favorite. We will be back for sure! First time here, chatted with the owners, and he gave me a piece of jerk chicken to try and by far best smoked jerk chicken around!!! ordered the wing basket and side of Mac a cheese and potato salad, EVERYTHING was amazing with so much flavor! They catered for 25 of us here at Stingray Chevrolet Bartow on a Saturday. We had fried chicken, bbq chicken, jerk chicken, Mac & cheese, rice, Cole slaw, cornbread and chocolate mousse cupcakes. The food was impeccable and the mac and cheese was some of the best I’ve had. We recommend and will repeat!

Me and hubby ate here (well technically ordered carry out) last Tuesday and it was amazing. One thing I’m big on is customer service and this place really exceeded my expectations. Actually it is one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had and I’m a tough one to please. The food was fresh and perfectly cooked. We were given free samples without asking. The man was very patient as we took a little while to decide what we wanted to order. All around great food and great experience. While we waited for our food I judged the atmosphere and cleanliness of the place, it passed in my book. We plan on making it one of our regular places for sure.

If you want to get fat try this food once you will be hooked and you'll keep coming back. I'm a driver from Augusta Georgia and this is my 2nd time eating here and I drove an extra 30 minutes 40 miles out of my route to get to this food and again it hasn't failed me not to mention I wasn't even hungry but I will NEVER be in this area and not HAPPILY GIVE THEM MY MONEY! #GOODLUCKFINDINGSOMETHINGNOTGOODONTHEMENU

Drove from Orlando to pick up my daughter and came across Flava joint. Upon arriving, the location was closed but the owner walked by and saw us standing and invited us to come on in and eat. It was unexpected but I'm grateful. He was kind and made us some fire jerk chicken with macaroni and cheese, corn bread, salad and fried plantains. The food tasted amazing, everything is made fresh to order and the customer service from the owner (never got his name unfortunately) was outstanding. Thank you for giving my daughter and I a great experience. Definitely will be coming back and I hope everyone shows love to this place. Ps. Always tip, it's a way of showing love to the company and its employees!

I have eaten here twice so far and the food is amazing and fresh each time. They even go a step further with their customer service to let you know that your food is ready. The ribs are not too tough it literally falls right off the bone! The Mac and cheese is a great go to and very delicious. This place gets a 5 star rating from me. If you live in the Bartow area or surrounding area check this place out you won’t be disappointed at all.
