We went down for Labor Day weekend. Great jazz band. Drinks could've been stronger for the price. It also smelled like urine, but that's almost everywhere in New Orleans. No offered food, but the jazz live band was AMAZING!!

One star is already too much for thieves, allowing themselves to add tips on tickets while the service is deplorable. On a bill of 44 €, this increases to 53 €, keep your tickets carefully when you go to this bar in order to be able to contest the transactions.

The bands and music were good. The drink was over priced and there wasn’t any service provided in particular, but extra tip was charged (found later in the credit card statement).

My husband is more into Jazz than I am, but I must say this place is wonderful! The service was great! And I loved the Deer and a Beer 😅. Thank you for everything

Jazz band that creates a good atmosphere!

Stopped in to listen to some jazz music and have a drink. A quieter place on Bourbon Street to just relax and listen to some music. It seemed to be a bit older and quieter crowd, which was great. The band playing was excellent. Drinks are not cheap but that was the same everywhere on Bourbon Street. Service was excellent and people were friendly. We did not eat here. If you are looking for better prices of food and drink you need to go off Bourbon Street and off of the street that runs along the river.

Walked by. Heard jazz piano. Sounded like a cross between Louis Armstrong & Tom Waits. Walked out 4 hours late. Great afternoon! 🙌🏻

I didn't get to eat there but the atmosphere was great. The musicians were very talented. A show worth watching.

Great place to watch live jazz, but be aware that the staff can be loud and constantly walk in front of you during performances. Also, make sure to take a photo of your check—they charged me more than I had agreed to pay.

Such a hidden gem on Bourbon Street! It feels like I’m stepping back in time when I walk into this joint. Very friendly staff and amazing classic jazz music. I love this place!

I went here because it was recommended by my Airbnb host. The location is great, right on Bourbon street. It was smaller than I thought it would be but I had no idea why. In hindsight it was cozy and created a romantic atmosphere (I was sadly alone). The group that played was great and a couple of the songs pulled at my heartstrings. Drinks were expensive: $14 for a vodka soda, though admittedly it was very strong. I spilled the drink and the bartender replaced it free of charge which was kind. I didn’t have any food so i can’t opine on that.

We had the BEST time listening to some INCREDIBLE musicians and drinking some local brews

Superb Place:- I did some research on the best jazz clubs in New Orleans before we arrived, and this was one of the top locations, super busy at night, not so much seats, but people come and go, or simply come back on a lazy afternoon to enjoy the tunes.

Very nice jazz cafe. Excellent and extensive cocktail menu. Recommended if you are in New Orleans.

The bartenders spoke with each other more than anyone else and seemed very bored to be there. The drinks were ok, nothing special. Gave 3 stars on the atmosphere only for the musicians, they were great.

This is what Bourbon Street is all about, we popped in here, they had a jazz band playing. One of the coolest things was other musicians were in the crowd and they would call them up as guests to help play a song. The cover of one drink per person is extremely reasonable and we sat there and had several drinks because the music was so good. Do not miss this when you go to Bourbon Street

Ordered 2 beers draft and bottle bartender gave back change told me $15 charged me 20. Ordered 2 more beers he took $20 more menu says $8 beers. Will not be back will not tip. Charge me what's on the menu. Terrible

Good jazz bands and good atmosphere

Great jazz bands are performing every night. Service was really good, fast and friendly. Prices are higher.

Especially the wonderful musicians!

We were looking for a great place for jazz and this place didn’t disappoint however, I realize you have to purchase a drink. 1 drink per set, however $8.00 for a club soda is outrageous.

We stopped in after we saw a band playing. Band was amazing and the band after was great. We ended up staying for over an hour. Drinks were great and we plan on going back tomorrow night.

Oh boy Richard "piano" Scott brings NOLA Jazz vibe so far up it reaches heaven's gate. Such a great gig that i was blessed to witness and the environment of pub is overall awesome!

This place is a diamond in the rough! NOLA is definitely not what it used to be, but this place will take you back. The performances here were some of the best I saw while visiting. Don't sleep on this place!

This is a Jazz bar, not sure on the food options but the music and service is top notch. It also has a speakeasy above the Jazz bar but you need a special card that you can receive from the Vampire Boutique

This was a highlight of our visit to New Orleans! Such a great little spot we had to go several times! Drinks were good, music was better! Very small, cozy place to sit with friends and listen to amazing jazz.

Great atmosphere and hidden patio that gets hot but live music. It would be a 5 star but drink prices need to be a little lower. But overall a great bar for a couple drinks and an intimate show.

I went in to have a cocktail, I ordered well vodka. I received it in a plastic cup and then I was charged $14. What a rip off. Tourist trap.

We loved this place! Loved the music and atmosphere! Cocktails were great. The crowd was just what we wanted - everyone was enjoying themselves and the music, but not a drunken party crowd. You could totally hear the music but it wasn't so loud that we ended up with a headache or ringing ears. Covers of songs made famous by Louis Armstrong and Jelly Roll Morton and other jazz standards.

Small jazz club with a rustic atmosphere and good live music. But: $17 for a small bottled beer and a water? Sure, the store is on Bourbon Street, but still... Wow.

Just listened to the house band. Exactly what I was looking for in NOLA.

A hive of activity and rammed. The entertainment was fantastic. A real New Orleans night out. There was a gorgeous covered area out the back. I loved the fairy lights and the ambience.

Authentic great music in the crazy part of town

Great Jazz music in an old time location. Eclectic feel and decor. We saw the Monday Mattinee Allstars. They were a 4 piece (guitar, drums, trumpet and stand up bass) unit. Nice music selections as well!

Although it is crowded and the seats are uncomfortable, it is a charming pub where you can enjoy jazz music right in front of you while drinking a decent cocktail or draft beer. It's too bad you can't come to New Orleans!

Jazz music with extraordinary groups! It's worth spending 1 or 2 hours of pleasant relaxation in the infernal chaos of Bourbon Street! A beer is $10, but it's compensated by the show!!!

Quite expensive for what it was... 60 euro for 4 beers with tip, not on. There was no live band and the WiFi did NOT work.

We really spent a few lovely evenings at Fritzel's with musicians presenting high quality music in a setting that encourages the appreciation and discovery of jazz. The only downside to these beautiful evenings, we would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the execrable attitude of the brown-haired usher who didn't make us feel welcome. She looked at us dryly and passed the contribution pot very haughtily. She practically threw the menu in my face and in 3 evenings we had nothing but contempt. His attitude is a disgrace to all those who claim to be in a service profession.

Not as good as the reputation. At least 10 dollars for beer in a plastic cup and music i. O.. However, tips are also required for the band and the people are packed very tightly together. Very commercial bar. Could be better...
