Love this place. I’ve got my tree here ever year since I’ve moved to CT. That’s 7 years now and I’ll continue to go. Prices are great and the trees are so fresh and smell so good throughout the season

Always loved Geers, people were kind, wagon ride was fun until last year. The people working there were in a hurry, wagon ride and tree carts were driving so fast I almost fell off, little kids running around, they could get run over, trees over priced, not fun anymore

One price for all trees! Plenty of parking, friendly help, food trucks and more. Beautiful farm!

Went to a wedding at The Overlook at Geer Tree Farm, and everything was great. The view was gorgeous, and the accommodations were nice.

The Geer Family takes alot of pride in preparing trees for everyone to enjoy. It's clear how they have considered so many aspects that make picking our Christmas tree a memorable experience each year. No matter how you like to get your tree, full service, do-it-yourself, or somewhere in between they offer a way to get it. They offer a shuttle to all the different plots on weekends, handmade wreaths, and all the tree accessories like the stand, food and more. If you decide to check out what's on the hill, you'll find every tree is meticulously shapened to perfection, with ideal Fraser firs and plump concolors. We appreciate a tree that stands out so it's always been a Geer for each Christmas for us. There's a really scenic overlook of the tree farm way up on the hill too. Lately, Geer has been immensely popular, but it's tough to gauge demand 10 years in advance--avg age of Christmas tree--so please be patient and understand this family tries to give our corner of CT some great holiday cheer. Mr Whipple's Chappel may no longer be around, and Geer isn't in the major light show business; however, Geer is as much a part of my family's holiday tree tradition as the famous Whipple's was for the Christmas lights in my childhood. I'm not the best reviewer, nor was I asked to write one, but I felt it was important to take time to accurately account for our 10+ years we have visited Geer.

Beautiful farm! There are tons of trees to choose from and you get to cut down your own and tag it. They come and get it for you and bring it back. They have popcorn, cider, and hot chocolate as well.

I’ve been coming to this amazing tree farm since I were in my 20’s. Always on the hunt for that one tree that spoke to me, and often staying until it got dark out. One season, I was there in the snow for many hours. I’d finally found my tree, but was soaked & frozen. The wonderful Geer family took me in back to warm (and dry out) my outer clothing and my bones next to their wood stove. I will never forget their kindness that day and all the days. I introduced it to my husband & began a tradition for his children. Once grown, they kept the tradition and have been bringing their own children here. My little doggie, Bruiser, gets as excited as the human children there! ~~Tanya Banks

I can't believe I never knew this place existed. The amount of trees they have is unbelievable and the nicest trees I've ever seen. The workers are so helpful and extremely nice. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

The Geer trees gave me this, romantic feeling if you will and I long to go back. As the scent slipped beneath my nostrils, I felt a sense of rush, relaxation, and excitement. As I walk along these empty walls of mine, I see the lone pine, standing with such pride, compassion, beauty, and lust. I make my way over as it grabs me by the waist and we start to dance. One small step, another, one more. I release one last breath as a single needle drops to my soft, virgin lips.

Great place, friendly staff. Easy to pick a tree, picked up quickly, got a tractor ride that the kids loved.

My boyfriend and I had a very unfortunate experience here today. I have worked in customer service my entire life, including dealing with casino clientele. As in, i get it. I know difficult customers. Before we left our house, i checked when they closed and we planned our errands around stopping to get our FIRST tree together. Facebook said 5 pm. I had been here previously and was SO excited to show him how beautiful the property was. As we were driving up, i was excitedly showing him how large the property was, and pointing out all the cute baby trees coming up. As he hadn't been there before, he wasn't sure where to go in. Obviously we’re in COVID times, so everything’s different. We tried to pull in and there was a sign saying they were temporarily closed, confused because it was 4:08 we turned around and drove slowly trying to see if we missed the entrance, this must've been apparent to the workers because when we did find what we thought was the way in and went to ask the workers - “hi how are you, its our first time here and we weren’t sure how this worked” the worker: “well we closed at 4pm i saw you guys turn around at the front.” It honestly was like a punch to the gut. I have two jobs and my boyfriend is a manager that doesn't close until 7pm most nights. We both had today off and wanted to get our tree together and now I'm just left with a bad taste in my mouth. Im very disappointed our first experience there will always be this and embarrassed that ibragged about this small business to only be approached with distain and then turned away.

Beautiful trees (great variety) that last through the season. The tree farm itself is lovely as well with a B & B and a small gift shop up in back. They sell large wreaths, too. The people are very friendly.

This is a really cute, family friendly place to get your Christmas tree. We arrived, were given an orange tree tag upon parking, and walked to over to the red barn. From here, they have large wagons pulled by tractors that can take you to your field of choice. They had about six different types of Christmas trees and each type was grown in separate, labeled fields. If you felt uncomfortable riding a tractor ride, you can walk a short distance to the fields. We picked out a tree and placed our orange tag with our name on it at the top. My husband cut our tree down and a young man driving a buggy saw us and gathered our tagged and cut tree for us and loaded into his buggy. He zoomed around gathering everyone's labeled trees from the field and also cut down the trees for those who preferred not to cut their own. He then brought all the trees down to the big red barn where they used an assembly line system to make a fresh bottom cut and bag/wrap everyone's trees and place them into a rack where you simply found your labeled tag and grabbed your own tree to bring to your car. All trees are the same price - a flat fee of $60 no matter the size or type. You pay for your tree after it's loaded into your car on your way out. It was all very efficient. And the fields are BEAUTIFUL. Plenty of spaces for family photo ops. The trees were beautiful as well. No scraggly, haggard trees! They all were well maintained and gorgeous! Definitely recommend this place! This was our first time here and this will now be our tradition year after year. :)

Went on 12/7/19. Much better experience past years. Next year I wont be returning. No shuttles or hayrides with a huge walk. The selection of larger trees where non existent. The price of the tree ($60) did not justify coming again next year.

Geers Tree farm was great. A very good selection of different types of trees . Plenty of helpful staff hayrides to fields also if you walk to the field they have tree pickup . They have food and refreshments too. We will be back next year we drove 50 miles it was worth the trip.

Geer Tree Farm is the best. You always receive the most professional services and everyone is kind. You can't get a better tree anywhere else.

Great place, great people and great trees. If you can't find the perfect tree here, then you can't find it anywhere. Always have an excellent experience getting our tree from Geer's. (hey S... who left a single star... how do you feel about a free bowl of soup?)

Always get our tree from Geers. Been coming here with my parents since i was little, my wife and I now travel over 100 miles to keep the tradition alive. Great food trucks on site with hot drinks, fresh donut bites, cookies, kettle corn, etc. Trees are of the highest quality, and less expensive than where we live (shoreline). Also, the experience of cutting down your own tree and time with family is well worth the travel and extra time!

Beautiful xmas trees friendly staff

We go here every year to cut down our Christmas tree. It's a family tradition and there's always activities going on. My family especially loves riding on the large wagon that gets pulled up the hill to the tree farm overlooking the barn and farm house where they package and wrap your trees. There will be food options available from local vendor trucks a kettle corn seller, and other fun things like hot cocoa for the family.
