Not the best in the neighborhood by any stretch, but a little bit of an institution in West Philly if you get there at the right time and see your neighbors at the bar.

Holly is the best waitress/bartender EVER!!! She made me feel like I was at home. And the flavor profile of the food was incredible and SPOT ON. Delicious food that’s like a warm hug. Good cocktails. I will be back!!!!!!

Food is always delicious. The doro bet is not my favorite, they overcook the chicken a bit but otherwise everything else is great. The service is okay, could be better. The atmosphere is beautiful in the back outdoor area, but the inside is very drab and uninviting. Gojjo is a great casual spot and bar!

Good food for both vegetarians and those who eat meat as well! Nice bar atmosphere. Went there during the day, not sure how it is at night!

This place is a classic it has been here forever since I was a kid 25 years ago..

I should've eaten here when I had the chance. I regret not having Ethiopian while in Philly with so many available options. None of that exists where I am now. I stopped in for a few drinks on my way back to the room after exploring other parts of west Philly. It was early evening so just a couple HH patrons watching sports balls.

We sat out back in the second story patio. Dinner in the trees and under the sky. The food is soooo tasty. We are gluten free and are happily full of clean home cooked food.

Food is perfect, service is quick and easy-going. Wonderful community space.

Came here a while back, didn’t get to eat walked out after an hour and a half of waiting and watching people who came in after me get their food

I haven't tried the food yet. The service is quick and friendly. They have a pool table upstairs. They have several different spaces. Outside patios. All available for parties and rental for events it seems like. They have an excellent Comedy Open mic on Thursdays that sometimes gets professional comics. The newer talent is also really good. Easy access from public transportation or walking a few blocks from Clark Park. Pretty chill area.

I ordered the $6 side of cabbage and carrot with an entree. It's about 3 tablespoons of cabbage. For $6. They also forced me to drink a smoothie outside because it came from a different establishment even though my friend and I were ordering full meals. They allow old drunk men to harass female customers and even their own female servers without saying a word. Just overall awful, cheapskate restaurant. The food is also mediocre. I only ever come here when friends want to because when I have ordered food it is frequently cold and soggy. For a much better Ethiopian dining experience & food I recommend the Buna Cafe a few blocks West.

My favorite place in the neighborhood. Great food, good prices. Good place to go after a late night at work not wanting to cook, good place to go for a date, good place to sit outside. Checks a lot of boxes

Gojjo is my favorite neighborhood bar! Allen and Tsion are the best! The food is great and their backyard patio is unbeatable in the vibes department.

one of my favorite bars! staff has always been friendly and accommodating. big fan of their outdoor space, the ethopian cheesesteak, split lentil wot, and goden tibs. sometimes on busier nights it can be a bit of a wait for food and service as the staff is small, but I think its well worth it for what you get! love this place :-)

Alan made our dining experience a memorable one. Food and ambiance in the outdoor seating area were top tier. Will definitely be back! (:

Mediocre service and you might as well not serve cheese steaks with any french fries. I wouldn't consider two fries an order of fries. But what would you expect in Philadelphia? SMH

Stopped in recently. Hadn't been to the place in about 10 years. Either way, I still very much enjoyed it. Cheesesteak was just as good as it ever was and the bartender was great!

The Gojjo House Special Lamb Tibs with Samosas is the best!

This is the ducky spot you want to mind your business go in the backyard cool out eat some food have some drinks.

I really enjoyed the wot options they have. My favorite was the beef stew wot, the lamb stew second. I keep coming back for the food. It is very clean. There's an outdoor back area and an upstairs.

Went here craving fish and was recommended the fish platter along with the veggie platter to serve two. We were NOT disappointed! Everything was so kind, and our waitress was so kind! Definitely recommend to check it out 🙏 Also, their samosa appetizers are BOMBBB! So flavorful and fresh (not pictured but be sure to order them so u can taste what I mean 🙌)

As always we LOVE this place. Vegan and vegetarian options available. I love to get the veggie combo platter. Also both samosas (called sambusa elsewhere) are delicious. The servers are usually very kind and attentive. The ambiance is so chill and there are indoor and outdoor options as well as a room upstairs for private parties. You can't go wrong. They also have special drinks that are authentic and not offered other places. The bar is fully stocked.

I had the chicken tibs dry chicken very little gravy my side was cabbage and carrots. Not one carrot and the portions were so small it looked like a child’s plate. The injera was the only decent part of the meal. I will never get take out there again 😳🙄😤 not worth the money.

Poor Customer service( unwelcoming)& poor quality food.i hv been in many Ethiopian restaurants this one is the worse.we ordered 20min over the phone before we arrived n waited more than 30min after we arrived.

Food was bland and the service was slow - the back patio was nice though.

I went here with my pals. They have a nice patio. Good selection of beers and food. We ordered Ethiopic cocktail, lamb tons, chicken tibs with rice, chicken tibs with chapati, and Doro wot. my favorite ones are lamb to s and Doro wor. The floavours are outstanding. We all loved our respective (and others) food items.

Of all the Ethiopian restaurants, this one is the best around. They have good cocktail drinks as well. Allan is my favorite bartender.

Super chill outdoor seating and a memorably excellent Ethiopian cheesesteak.

One of the best meals we’ve ever had! On a whim, my husband stopped here on his way home from the airport for some take out. The food was packaged so well, after driving the 2 hours home from the restaurant, our meal was still warm! We ordered the combination platters for the meats and veggies, and everything was divine! The portions were generous. The food was excellently seasoned, and the injera was light, fluffy and the perfect sourdough flavor. After the meal we were satisfied without feeling heavy or uncomfortable. We will certainly make the 2 hour drive for this meal again!

One of the best restaurants in Philly and a must if you like Ethiopian food. Neighborhood bar in the front, lovely garden in the back. Not fine dining, but Amazing food. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

I had a nice time it was a bar restaurant. It looks beautiful there were plenty of seats and a wonderful bartender that took my order and got everything that I needed. There was music and a TV showing a soccer game. This Ethiopian restaurant / bar had authentic Ethiopian food also. I tried the cheesesteak with the Ethiopian spin on it and it was delicious. It was so moist and didn't have anything foreign in it in regards to a regular cheesesteak but you can tell it was a kick up because of the spices. I really enjoyed it. Also the drinks were inexpensive and the section that I said in was comfortable and a little hidden gem.

Gojjo is a friendly bar, a decent coffee roastery (even when I do not usually drink coffee here) and the best place in the area to go treasure hunting and find a hidden gem: a great summer terrace in the back of the bar, with limited views and a welcoming ambience. I still struggle to understand why they keep this secret to themselves... Nice selection of Ethiopian plates (I'd say American Ethiopian, to be honest, on the greasy side, to my taste), very reasonably priced. Great, friendly service.

From out of town and the bartender agreed to serve us dinner and drinks, we meshed well with others but then he turned away our food order. Was super disappointing considering we were looking for a nice dinner. Heard the food was delicious but wouldn't go back after the cold shoulder we got.

Great Food! TERRIBLE SERVICE! If you go, take out don't dine in. The waiter and waitress were very lax and inattentive. They gave me the bill at the end and I wanted 15 min before they came to take the bill and another 15 min to give it back! Oh and it was not crowded maybe 20 to 30 people total.

Good food, great atmosphere! A hidden gem!

It was late and I wanted to stay local. Gojjo had a nice welcoming atmosphere with a game room upstairs, and outdoor seating or back. The bar is well stocked. I didn't get the bartender's name but he was attentive. I bought a LIIT, and Whisky Ginger both of which were really good.

I enjoy the musicians who perform here but the wait time for food exceeds an hour. I had the chicken soup. It was awful and I've seen others get cheesesteaks. Wasnt impressed with the food or service at all but the ambiance and pool table and outdoor seating are cool.

Truly outstanding - HIGHLY recommended. Warm, friendly staff, casual environment - and the back patio is a STUNNER! You will NOT be disappointed, our entire meal was fabulous. Stoked to come back to Philly for more!

Their back patio is distant, heated, private and the food is delicious.

Baltimore Avenue is full of diverse culture from cuisine to some interior design. There is so much you can find. Not only is gojjo well know for their amazing Ethiopian Cuisine, the quality of the staff and service is unmatched. Very clean and always a warm meal served with kindness and a smile. The patio area and second floor are great for hosting parties and events.

I had some expectations they didn't meet in my previous visits. However, they responded to my concerns and fixed the things that made me unhappy with my previous visits today. As a token of my appreciation for their taking my harsh feelings seriously, I gave them 5 stars! I hope they will continue to listen to their customers like they did mine! 🙏

The Long Island Ice Tea was the best. The Lamb and rice was so good.

Very friendly and welcoming neighborhood establishment offering Ethiopian cuisine as well as American bar room options on the menu. Small craft beer draught list, wine, and standard liquors served at a 15 person bar and small dinning room area. Two floors, pool table upstairs, and a private courtyard out back with about 10 tables.

I am glad I went so I can cross it off my list of places to go. Gojjo made Philadelphia magazines 30 cheesesteaks. The first thing I didn't like is the price I paid was at least $2 higher than when I saw online. It wasn't a horrible cheesesteak and it did come with a couple french fries. I guess the seasoning makes it Ethiopian. I guess $7 for a draft isn't bad in the city. It wasn't a horrible overall experience.

Ethiopean food served platter style with injera bread. Good drinks at a reasonable price point, great atmosphere. There are a lot of places along baltimore that serve up ethiopean, but some of the best memories I've made have been at gojjo!

This spot has a really cool vibe. Excellent cocktails and a cool outdoor space in the rear. It’s certainly a neighborhood favorite.

Good food, great atmosphere. Each Ethiopian restaurant on Baltimore Ave. Is slightly different, and this one fills the always important "relaxed bar playing jeopardy" niche. So it's your favorite bar AND they have awesome gored gored. That plus an excellent and well-hidden outdoor space.
